AN: HAPPY NEW YEAR!
*celebration noises*
Something that's really funny for an outsider who doesn't know about the Kiana-Sirin fiasco is that Kiana is becoming increasingly more tsundere by the day around both Hua and Ana
Really, anyone with eyes can see that the three of them have gotten significantly closer since Kiana woke up after the entire Privati incident

Why was she so nervous?
It's just a simple Sim battle
Plus she has Ana and Hua here with her
Is it the crowd that's watching?
No, that couldn't be it either as she's never felt nerves when she's doing training Sims with a crowd
Kiana felt a cold hand grab her bicep "Relax, it's just a training sim" came Ana's voice calming her mind a little, "all we'll face is the regular, run of the mill Honkai beasts"
"Ana's right" came Hua's voice from her other side, "all this is to see if you're able to join in for missions soon, now that you're not bound to a wheelchair"
While Hua was definitely being serious, Kiana can definitely hear a hint of amusement in her voice
Kiarin huffs, "yeah, yeah, rub it in, cheater" she mutters, loud enough for her partners and teammates to hear, with a huff and a pout on her face and turns her head away from Hua
Ana snickers at the comment
Hua rolls her eyes, "rude" she says without any real bite to it, in fact there was an amused smile forming on her face
The trio stuck to their preferred fighting styles and methods with Hua and Ana sticking to fighting up close and personal with their martial arts and Lance respectively while Kiana's at a mid range with her pistols firing at enemies
And things were going smoothly, for the most part
Both Kiana and Ana's performance wasn't at the best that everyone has seen from them
Ana was too focused on something and sometimes would cause her to "lag" in her performance
And Kiana was not focused enough and would sometimes completely lose focus and stop until Hua calls out to her to snap her back into the game for the next few minutes
Even though Kiana and Ana were having issues of their own, the performance of all three of them were passable even if there were many that would say that the trio would lose points if this was a ranked match
Regardless, as mentioned before, they were performing relatively fine, all things considered
That was at least until the final wave where the simulation "glitched"
Where another wave of honkai beasts and zombies were supposed to spawn
An emperor class honkai beast known as the "Genesha" spawned
A Genesha is the elementally neutral version of the Privatti
And understandably it affected Kiana, badly
The instant she saw the beast Kiana's breath hitched and she lost grip of her pistols as she stumbled backwards
Only to trip on her own foot and fall on her butt
But that didn't matter
All she could focus on was the Honkai beast that, in her eyes, was flickering between a Genesha and a Privati as the only real difference between them is the colour
Kiana's breathing was shallow and rapid as she uses her arms to push herself away from the beast
All she can hear is the loud, thunderous thumping of her own heart
Ana immediately rushed to Kiana upon seeing the Genesha, stopping only to harshly stab her lance into the ground between Kiana and the digital beast
Of course in stabbing the Lance into the ground the way that she did caused a massive barricade of pure Ice to form between the Genesha and Kiana
Which helpfully allows her to focus entirely on helping Kiana calm down from the panic attack
While Hua handled the digital Beast by herself
For anyone else it would be suicide to face off an emperor class Honkai beast by herself, even if its a digital copy of the honkai beast
But Fu Hua isn't just anyone, no, she's an A-rank Valkyrie who has been nominated for S-rank on at least 2 occasions during her time in Academy (she refused both times because Otto needed her here for some reason or another)
Regardless, she will handle this
The Genesha will not get close to either of her team
The sim turned out "ok" in a manner of speaking
What didn't turn out ok was Kiana's panic attack and Ana losing control over the ice she created unintentionally
As it stands right currently, Ana is getting some tests done on her to see what's going on with her
While Hua Held Kiana on her lap while the pair of them wait for Ana's tests to be done
feeling Kiana squirm in her arms and seeing the uncomfortable look on her face Hua spoke up, "you're fine and Ana's fine, everything's going tp be ok"
"B-but..."
"if they hurt her, they will learn just how violent i can get because they harmed someone under my protective wings"

Location: Theresa's Office
Later
Himeko and Theresa are in Theresa's office trying to figure out what the hell just happened
"Damn it!" Himeko punches the wall, hard
Really, the woman was understandably frustrated by the turn of events
"What are the chances that our sim systems glitch out like that?" Himeko growls, "with the exact circumstances to get this specific situation"
"Sabotage" Theresa says darkly
"what…?"
"Someone altered the enemy line up for the sim" Theresa says while glaring at what she's seeing on the screen, "they only changed the last round to either a Genesha or a Privati"
"...wait, 'or'? They changed all of them?" Himeko asks bewildered, "wouldn't that require"
"The highest access level?" Theresa cuts off and finishes for Himeko, "yes, yes it does"
"And only people extremely high up the ladder have that kind of pull in all of schicksal…"
They were both silent for a period of time
"Teri, I have a proposition…" Himeko says, looking extremely serious
Theresa looks at her friend and colleague "...go on"
AN: its admittedly fairly short
