Yes, it is. Your guess is mostly right, surprisingly

"whatever that was, was not a dream," akane said.
Now
The warehouse, girl's bedroom
Izumi was asleep, asleep. Her girlfriend, himiko was next to her, asleep as well. However, the two of them had eri between them, asleep with them. Himiko and eri had peaceful expressions on their faces as they slept, himiko for being with her girlfriend and eri for being away from overhaul, and with some people that actually cared for her. Izumi, on the other hand, looked uneasy. The reason was actually pretty simple: she was having either a nightmare, or something else.
Izumi's dream
Izumi dreamed that she was in a rather luxurious room in a castle. Looking out the window, she saw that it was night time. "Why am i dreaming this?" izumi thought. Suddenly, she heard weeping, so she turned to the source. She saw an alicorn of dark blue-cobalt fur with large black splotches on her flanks, with her quirk mark on those splotches: a gleaming crescent moon. Izumi knelt next to the alicorn, curious about her. She heard a voice coming from the doors, so she looked towards the doors. She saw an alicorn with white fur and a pink mane. She saw the alicorn with blue fur face the one with white fur. Looking closer at the two, she saw that the one with dark fur is smaller than the one with white fur. "The dark furred alicorn must be the younger of the two," izumi concluded.
Izumi saw the younger snap at the older with hate and grief in her eyes, yelling at her, telling her to leave her. She saw the older one refuse, until the younger slammed her front hooves onto the floor, cracking it, and the doors closed by themselves. She saw the younger cry a bit, before her power exploded a bit, changing her appearance to a darker version of her, as she wailed.
The dream fast forwarded a bit, stopping with her in the clouds. She spread her wings, so she wouldn't fall. Looking around, she saw that there was a lunar eclipse, turning the sky a shade of red. She heard clashing behind her, so she turned around. She saw that the two alicorns were fighting in a near perfect copy of her fight with her sister over the forest at the training camp.
After the older was overpowered and blasted into a tower, the younger charged at the older, breaking through the stained glass window. Izumi saw that the older had a spinning gem in front of her, and a blast of light, similar to an exploding grenade went off. After the younger alicorn vanished, she saw that the older alicorn now had a rainbow mane and tail. She saw the older succumb to her sadness and despair, and wailed, tears flowing down her face.
The scene changed. Izumi is now surrounded by grey rocks. She saw the younger alicorn return to normal, as she woke up, and looked around her, a look of surprise and sadness on her face, as she started to cry and sob.
Luna's soliloquy
No
No
No
How could you? How could you?
Fate has been cruel and Order unkind
How could you have sent me away
I sit here and gaze into stillness alone
The darkness and silence pervade
But here in my prison, my thoughts
they won't fade of power and glory and praise
Till your blinded eyes can see your own lies
The stars will recount my last day
My last days
She saw the alicorn close her eyes, remembering.
Once was a pony whose Moon Shone so
Bright the stars were in awe at its glow
She smiled and said, "surely there is
no Pony who dare be asleep through this
Marvelous show"
Yet where were they all?
Her subjects she never caught sight of
When shadows did fall
Their laughter and joy was but a hopeless dream
Which grew into nightmares
As sun rays charmed all
Wait now, Sun princess, the night will arise
So keep not my moon in its place
Tia, my judgment was not yours to give
And soon now will both meet our fates
Carry my rage, oh, you Shadows of night
and carry my Sorrow in kind
She saw the alicorn open her eyes, before tears began to fall from her eyes.
Sister your deed hurt much more than you know
The time for my vengeance is nigh
The alicorn's legs folded under her, as she laid down on the stone ground
The beams of another, cast brightly on others,
Whose love and affection it drew
And there that Moon Princess was shunned by the world
As hate filled her heart, and unhappiness grew
"Why don't they adore me?" she thought to herself
As the other had no right to boast
And that foolish pony did nothing to stop the destruction of I
Who had needed her most
Wait now, sun princess, the night will arrive
So keep not my moon in its place
Tia, my judgment was not yours to give
and soon now will both meet our fate
Carry my rage oh you Shadows of night
And carry my sorrow in kind
Sister, your deed hurt much more than you know
May guilt plague you for your great crime
For the time of my vengeance is nigh
The alicorn began to laugh. "Yes. Enjoy the daylight while you have it, sister mine, for I shall return with an unending night," the alicorn said.
The years now, before us
fearful and unknown
I never imagined I'd face them on my own
May these thousand years swiftly pass I pray
The alicorn began to cry, again, as she placed a hoof on her chest.
My pain grows, I can't know
Are you still the same?
The alicorn smiled a bit, as she stopped crying.
May all your dreams be sweet tonight
Safe behind your veil of sunlight
The alicorn then frowned, and hung her head.
You know not my sadness, pain nor
Care and when I dream I'll break away
And meet you there
Sleep…
Sleep…
Sleep…
Sleep…
Sleep…
I will see you in a thousand moons
Princess of the Sun
Dream end
Izumi was shocked awake, thankfully not waking himiko or eri. "What was that?" she asked herself. "There's no way that was just a dream," izumi stated. Looking out the window, she saw sunlight. "Ugh, time to wake up," izumi groaned as she carefully got out of bed, so as to not wake eri and himiko. So, in her open-back night shirt, she went and got herself some coffee, added some creamer and about 12 scoops of sugar and stirred. She went to the chair, sat and drank the coffee, relaxing as the sugar hit her.
About eight minutes after she started to drink her coffee, himiko came out of the bedroom, carrying eri. "Why did you leave us?" himiko whined. "I wanted to let you two sleep, since you were both so content," izumi shrugged as she drank more of her coffee.
Himiko walked over to her girlfriend and handed eri to her, before she went to get her own coffee. "Luckily i finished my coffee," izumi thought, as she held onto after the three of them woke up, the rest of the villains woke up and got their coffee.
"Who's the brat?" tomura asked rather bluntly. Eri whimpered, as she squirmed as close to izumi as she could out of fear, causing izumi to hug eri to her in an attempt to soothe her. Eri relaxed a bit, causing izumi to smile, before she looked coldly at tomura. "Listen here, shigaraki: you may be the favorite of the boss, but that does NOT give you the right to be like what you normally are towards children. If you do that to this child again, i will dispose of you, and i don't care what the boss thinks," izumi snarled at him. Sensing that izumi was a bit angry, eri cuddled up to her. With this, izumi calmed down significantly.
Tomura shivered a bit in fear, before he collected himself. "Sure, whatever you say," he simply said. Once the group of villains gathered in the living room, some people arrived, and they all wore old-style plague masks. "Hello, my name is overhaul, and i'm looking for my daughter," the man, overhaul, introduced himself. "Happy to disappoint, but we are not heroes, we don't look for lost children," tomura dismissed.
Overhaul was not happy. "Should you agree to help us find my daughter, you will be handsomely rewarded, once my daughter is in my arms," overhaul stated. Magne walked over to overhaul. "The current boss said 'no'. So, why don't you leave?" she demanded, as she grabbed overhaul's shoulder. In response, overhaul grabbed her wrist, and magne exploded into a bloody mess, bits of flesh everywhere and blood all over the walls and floor.
"Really? Using intimidation?" izumi asked, getting the attention drawn to her. "I'm not impressed," she said in a dull tone. Angry (though it was hard to tell, because of his plague mask) overhaul looked at izumi, only to see eri in her lap, cuddling up to the black haired girl. "There she is, my daughter," overhaul stated. He then went over to izumi, to get eri out of her lap, only to stop at izumi's angry voice.
"Stop right there," she commanded. "There's absolutely no similarities between you and her, overhaul," izumi stated. "When she ran into me, literally, she BEGGED me to help her," izumi stated. "She likes to run off and prank others," overhaul dismissed, with a wave of his hand. "When i began to give her a bath, she was absolutely COVERED in scars, with the worst on the undersides of her forearms and her shins, and the rest of her torso was riddled in scars," izumi countered. "Either you absolutely despise her, she is NOT your daughter, either biological or adopted, or you see her only as a source of something," izumi concluded, and overhaul froze. "So? Which is it?" izumi asked.
"You better give her to me, or things will get REAL ugly, real fast," overhaul threatened. "I see i was correct, so you resort to threats of violence," izumi stated. Growling in irritation, overhaul moved to grab eri, only to freeze when he felt the point of a katana on his neck. "Careful, any further actions like you just did will only result in your death," izumi stated in a cold voice, as she held her katana at his neck.
Seeing as he didn't want to die, just yet, overhaul backed away, hands raised in surrender. "Smart boy," izumi stated, before the katana vanished. "I will get my daughter back, little girl," overhaul threatened. "I doubt it, little boy," izumi returned. "After all, only the lowest of the low, and the worst of the worst would go after a child, like you did," izumi finished.
With a huff, overhaul and his group left the warehouse.
UA, living room
Akane was sitting in a chair in the living room of the dorm, lost in thought. "Luna, my baby sister, please forgive me," akane whispered. She felt a pull leading somewhere. She got up and left the dorm, before she took to the skies. However, as she left, her parents, her homeroom teacher, her principal and her classmates saw that she left. So, they decided to follow her as best as they could, which wasn't easy. Luckily, they managed to keep up, to an extent.
Akane left musutafu and went a few miles outside the city, until she saw a barrier around something rather huge. So, she landed just outside the barrier and approached it, looking pensive.
With the ones following akane
The students and staff were exhausted from running nonstop, while inko and toshinori were just as exhausted as them. "Why would akane need to come out here?" mina asked. "It was almost like she was being pulled here, by something," denki stated. "Perhaps she was. Perhaps something called out to her," nezu stated.
"What would possibly call to her?" inko asked. "I remember my parents warning me about that barrier. They said that, as soon as it was discovered, countless people tried to get passed it, only for them to be burned to ash in moments. Those with fire resistance quirks lasted the longest, but were ultimately killed," inko stated. Before anyone could answer, akane touched the barrier. The marks on her thighs glowed golden, before a hole opened up, surprising the group that followed her. However, before the group could ponder what it could mean, akane went through the hole. A few moments later, the hole started to shrink closed. Terrified that they might lose her, the group rushed through the hole before it closed.
They barely made it. They looked around, and saw that it was the ruins of a kingdom. "Where are we?" momo asked. "I remember reading about this architecture," nezu said in wonder as he looked around from his spot. The others looked at him in surprise. "Although, to be fair, i thought that this place was nothing more than a legend. Now i can see that i was wrong," nezu stated. "Well? What is this stupid place?" katsuki demanded. "Canterlot, which was practically destroyed over 3000 years ago," nezu stated.
"We can do the history lesson later, where's akane?" tenya asked. "Over there," mina stated, as she pointed in the air, towards the tallest tower. As one, the group quickly raced after her.
With akane
As akane flew towards the tower, she wondered what was going on. Once she landed on the balcony of the tower, she looked around. She saw tapestries that showed a young white and pink alicorn colt nuzzling a black and blue alicorn colt, both looking happy. The white and pink one had a sun mark on her flanks, while the black and blue one had crescent moons on her flanks. "What is this place?" she asked herself in a whisper. She felt a pull, and she looked in the direction the pull was coming from, and saw a throne. So, she went to investigate the throne.
The group managed to get to the top of the tower, and they were gasping for breath, as they watched akane investigate what looked like a throne. Toru looked at the walls, and the tapestries, and gasped a bit. "It's true," she breathed.
Akane, after looking around the throne, saw what was calling to her: a yellow gem in the shape of her mark on her thighs. She picked it up, and the entire area glowed a bright white, blinding everyone in the room. Once their vision cleared, they all saw a transparent white-pink alicorn with sun marks on her flanks with a flowing rainbow mane, a tiara and some sun jewelry.
"Greetings. If you found my recording, it means that the kingdom of myself and my sister was destroyed. Please note, that i am semi-aware of my surroundings," the alicorn said. It looked in the direction of the group. "All of you should come out, now, as it is rather rude," she said, surprising akane and the group. The group nervously approached, surprising akane. "Why are you all here?" akane asked. "You took off suddenly, and we all saw you," aizawa stated.
"You may talk about this, later. For now, i shall explain what happened," the alicorn stated. They all looked at the alicorn. "For starters, i am celestia, princess of the sun and the ruling queen of canterlot," celestia stated, introducing herself. "What happened to the kingdom?" akane asked.
"To answer that, i will need to start at the beginning. I was the oldest of two princesses. My younger sister was luna, the princess of the moon," celestia stated, as she looked wistfully at one of the tapestries, remembering the time she and her sister were happy. "For centuries, my sister and i were happy," celestia stated.
"What happened?" akane asked. The group paid close attention to what celestia would say. Celestia looked sad, as her head hung. "What happened is that i was loved by the entire kingdom, young and old," celestia began. "As a result, while i enjoyed the attention of my citizens, my sister received no such attention," celestia stated sadly. "It continued for decades, my sister not receiving the attention she wanted from our populace. While i dearly loved my sister, my duties as ruler took much of my time," celestia stated.
Celestia started to cry. "One evening, i finally had some free time to spend with my sister, so i went to her room. However, as i got closer, i heard her weeping, so i looked into her room. I saw her in the middle of her rug, crying. When i tried to get her attention, she snapped her attention to me, and demanded that i leave her be, with tears in her eyes. I refused to do so, since i finally had some time to be with her, and i wanted to spend it with her," celestia stated.
Akane's eyes widened, as she remembered the scene that celestia described. "I remember that, celestia," she said, getting her attention. "What happened next was luna slamming her front hooves, coated in energy, onto the floor, cracking it. The doors became coated in the same energy, before they slammed shut in your face, even as you cried," akane said in remembrance.
"That is correct, but how could you know that?" celestia asked. "A while back, i dreamed about it. However, it felt far too real to simply be a dream," akane answered. "I see," celestia said. "It would seem that my theory was correct," celestia said.
"Theory?" akane asked. "That you are essentially the reincarnation of me, in human form," celestia said. Akane was frozen in shock, as were the rest of the group.
"What else happened?" celestia asked. "I was over a forest, fighting another that had a silver-blue power. During our fight, their helmet was destroyed, revealing to be my sister, as she looked at me in pain and hate. Days later, i had a dream where i saw you and another alicorn fighting in the skies, just like my fight with my sister. I remember your fight ending with sending the other alicorn to the moon, then your pink mane and tail hairs turned rainbow colors. Was that what really happened?" akane asked.
Celestia simply nodded. "It seems that the cycle is still continuing. I honestly believed i had managed to stop it," celestia said sadly. "What do you mean?" akane asked.
"I did some research, after i sealed my sister into the moon. What i found was a legend. By the time i found it, most of the parchment was illegible, but i managed to piece together what most of it said," celestia said. "What did it say?" akane asked in curiosity.
"Here is a rough translation i managed to do: 'every 3000 years, the twins of the sun and moon will be reborn. Sadly, the sunlight would be loved more than the moon. Feeling neglected and full of pain, the moonlight will turn to darkness. Once the two meet again, the moonlight will attempt to make the sunlight feel exactly what they feel.' I looked at the records i managed to find and translate, and i found what happened with the sun and moon before my sister and myself.
"What was it?" akane asked. "The ones before myself and my sister were the ruling pair that ruled over a kingdom called atlantis, until their feud caused their kingdom to be destroyed. I had honestly hoped that i had succeeded in breaking the cycle, and perhaps i did, for a time, but i failed," celestia said sadly.
Celestia looked at akane in her eyes. "You MUST break the cycle, or else it will likely never stop," celestia pleaded. "How do i do that?" akane asked. "Simply try and be there, for the moon. Accept them, and apologize to them," celestia stated. "If it's not too late, your sibling may return to who she once was," celestia stated.
"Alright, i will do what i can," akane promised. Celestia's image smiled, before the image faded away, and the gem stopped glowing. The gem then crumbled into tiny pieces. The group then left the dead kingdom, with akane opening a hole in the barrier to let them all out. Once they were out, they all went back to UA.
