I don't own the Walking Dead
Otis roared in pleasure as he rolled himself out of his bed where Patricia, his wife of 35 years slept.
Otis was a very demanding man, it was with this notion that he decided to wake his wife with a swat to the face via flyswatter.
"Make me some breakfast woman" he cackled.
"I just woke up" she wept, trying to clean up her bleeding nose. Otis gave her one of his famous grins before getting the flyswatter out again, causing Patricia to flinch.
"We can argue about this until Sunday or you can save yourself the time and make me some breakfast." Otis said calmly as he put on his hunting outfit.
Patricia hurried to the kitchen to make Otis his breakfast, careful not to wake Hershal and his family.
Later that day
Otis had accidentally shot Carl and was accompanying Shane to go to the school for supplies. Only Shane had returned. This caused the day to adopt a somber nature.
The residents of the farm prepared themselves for a funeral and memorial to a man that was figuratively and quite literally larger than life.
The surprise was that one of the new arrivals , named Dale, gave a three hour speech about Otis, which confused everyone present as Otis and Dale had just met.
After the memorial.
"Shane, we need to talk" said Dale flatly.
Shane who was not in the mood for another famous rant from Dale about radiator hoses, sighed and faced Dale with an expecting expression on his face.
"What Dale" he said wearily.
" I KNEW Otis better than you think and your story does not add up there buttercup" Dale snarled as he stomped on a cigarette butt.
"Look man you weren't there, I'm trying to let a widow know her husband was a hero, rather than a psychopath " said Shane calmly.
"Otis was not a psychopath you sick little man" Dale coughed as he brought out a machete and held it to Shane's neck.
"You want the story, fine" said Shane shoving Dale back.
Flashback
Otis and Shane were walking back to the truck in apparent high spirits, as they had avoided the undead and secured the needed supplies for Carl. There was not a walker in sight, they were all in the gym and the door was chained shut.
Just as they approached the truck Otis had his gun pointed at Shane's head.
"The shows just about to start cop boy" Otis giggled.
Shane put his hands up hoping to diffuse the situation.
Otis began to lead Shane to the gymnasium where the vast majority of the undead were.
"What are you doing man all those things are in there" Shane said in a calm voice that hid his alarm at the situation he found himself in.
"That's kind of the point sugar cube" Otis simpered as they entered the gym via the highest windows.
A few minutes later.
Otis and Shane were atop the bleachers while a horde of zombies were below trying to get to them.
"Here's what I want Shane, I'll go and save Carl, but you got to do something for me" said Otis with a belch.
"Fine fine what" said Shane irritably.
"Jump off these bleachers and feed our friends" Otis chuckled.
"What why?" screamed Shane.
"I need some entertainment, being a psychopath can be boring" Otis chuckled as he looked down the scope of his weapon at Shane.
"So you shooting Carl wasn't an accident, was it huh" asked Shane calmly trying to figure out a plan.
"Nope, but Ill save the boy as it will make me a hero, Ill tell them what a coward you were, now jump" Otis chuckled as he shot a hole in the bleachers next to where Shane's foot was.
"I'll die" said Shane simply
"That's the idea, then Andrea will come to me heheh" said Otis arrogantly.
"Andrea, are you kidding me, aren't you married" said Shane anger creeping back in his voice.
"Ah you mean Patricia, that old bag, besides when have you cared about the sacred nature of marriage, I know you and Lorrie got something." said Otis in a hushed giggle.
"Since you don't want to jump, I'll give you a choice " said Otis in a cocky voice as he dangled the bag of medical supplies over the hoard of walkers.
"Stop you sick son of a bitch " Shane yelled
But Otis continued to laugh manically as he continued to dangle the gym bag of supplies over the hoard of walkers.
Shane saw no choice and grabbed the bag out of Otis's hands causing the morbidly obese man to lose his footing and fall into the pile of walkers.
"Ahh, ahhhhb" Otis roared as his ear, arms, and bits were devoured.
Back to present
"So yes Dale there was more to the story." Shane said to a stony faced Dale whom had his arms folded.
"He wanted Andrea?" Dale sputtered. " But he said last night as we laid under the stars that we would always be together" he moaned.
" I think its best you keep that fact to yourself" said Shane in a disgusted voice.
"Patricia just lost her husband, last thing we need is you going around claiming to have had an affair with Otis, you hear" Shane said gruffly.
" I HEAR perfectly you scum, I cant let you go" Dale said bravely aiming a gun out at Shane's forehead.
Shane chuckled and walked past him when he heard a shot and a scream.
It appeared Dale was inexperienced with a gun and was holding the muzzle, which led to him shooting his own hand.
"Help it was Shane" Dale moaned.
Rick, Glenn and Daryl merely shook their heads, tired of Dale's lies and drama and furious as they had seen Dale try to take out Shane in broad daylight.
Rick had Tdog and Carol pick up Dale and put him in his camper, so the group could decide his fate.
