Digital world (Quadrant 1)
The moment Tamers and the DigiDestined entered the digital world the tamers saw that instead of a jungle they were what looked like a dessert with phone towers.
"So is this where we'll be training?" Terriermon said, looking around. "Well atleast no one's going to get caught in the crossfires."
"Looks can be deceiving little one." a voice said. The next moment Pixemon showed up right out of nowhere. "It's good to see all of you."
"It's good to see you as well Pixemon." Tai said seeing Pixemon. "I guess Gennai told you why were here."
"Yes he did and those other kids must be the digimon tamers." Pixemon guessed pointing to the other children with them.
"Yep." Tai said.
"Well then we should get started, we haven't a moment to lose." Pixemon said. "Follow me young ones."
"Is he going to keep calling us that?" Rika asked hoping the answer would be no.
"That's what he calls everyone that comes to him for help." Tai answered.
They all walked into a room that seemed to have gone on for miles.
"For starters why don't we see what you Tamers can do." Pixemon suggested.
"Well, do you want us to show you the farthest they can digivolve or the cards we can use?" Takato asked.
"Let's see your digimon show their stuff." Pixemon answered pointing his spear at Guilmon.
"Okay, guys, time to see if we've still got it." Takato said, placing his D-arc near his chest.
"Yay." Henry said, taking his D-arc out.
"Bring it." Rika agreed.

When the light died down instead of three humans and three digimon, three mega level digimon stood tall. A knight like digimon with a helmet that resembled Guilmon head holding a lance and shield with the hazard mark on it. Another was a yellow and black priestess who wore a fox mask and purple gloves while holding golden staff. The third was a giant that was as tall as a building in green armor and a face that seemed more dog-like.
"You guys really are able to merge with your digimon." Davis said walking up to Gallantmon. "That's so cool."
"Not bad indeed," Pixemon said looking at the mega level digimon. "If you wouldn't mind, how about a sparring match between one of you and one of the DigiDestined, and before you say anything I would like it if you changed back to the fight more even for the moment."
The Tamers changed back then conversed with themselves about who would fight.
Earth (Hypnos HQ)
"Now this is what I call an HQ." Izzy said, looking around.
"Izzy was it?" Yamaki questioned
"Yes!?" Izzy answered, coming back to his senses and remembering why he was here.
"I thought you were going to help Gennai look through the Internet to find the enemy." Yamaki said
"I was told that I would be better equipped if I used your guys' computers." Izzy answered.
"Alright let me show you to a fine computer that you can use." Yamaki said walking away towards the elevater.
"Lead the way." Izzy said following Yamaki.
Digital world (Quadrant 1) Piximon's training room
The Tamers changed back then conversed with themselves about who would fight.
"Sorry Rika but I think you should sit this one out." Takato suggested. "Renamon's a little too experienced in battles like this to hold back."
"I would love to show them how to fight but I guess that would be a bit much so I'll give it this once." Rika said sensing that Renamon was looking at her.
"How about us Henry." Terriermon asked.
"No thanks it still doesn't sit right with me having digimon fight each other." Henry answered. "Sorry guys but it's my nature."
"Guess we're up then." Guilmon said.
"Okay Guilmon." Takato said, turning towards the DigiDestined. "Me and Guilmon will give it a shot."
"Okay, now DigiDestined why doesn't one of the newer ones fight him to see where you stand." Pixemon said.
Gatomon & Veemon Immediately stepped forward. "Sorry Gatomon but I want to see where I stand against him." Veemon said placing a hand in front of Gatomon stopping her from stepping forward any more."
"That makes two of us." Gatmon said.
"How about the two of you go and see for yourselves." Pixemon suggested.
"Won't that be a bit of a challenge for Takato having to fight the both of them." Sora said.
"Don't worry I will make sense when the match starts." Pixemon said.
Both Gatmon & Veemon stood opposite of Guilmon. Guilmon's eyes changed to that of a fighter and ran at the two digimon, Veemon moved out of the way but Gotamon stood her ground.
"Rock breaker." Guilmon shouted as his claws glowed.
Gotamon took hold of the claw then attacked back. "Lightning claw."
As the attack connected Guilmon was sent back a bit, but was still standing tall.
"Wow he took Gotamon's attack head on but still stood his ground." Yolei said. "He's strong alright."
"If he can take an attack from Gotamon then we better hit a little harder." Davis taking out his D-3 "Digi-Armor Energise."
Veemon, Armor Digivolve to….Flamedramon
"Okay let's move it." Takato said, taking a card out. "Digi-Modify….Power Active!"
"Fire rockets." Flamedramon shouted fire multiple fire balls towards Guilmon but he easily dodged them all and got into Flamedramon face.
"Pyro Sphere!" Guilmon announced firing a red blast that sent Flamedramon flying.
"Flamedramon!?" Davis shouted.
"I'm fine, don't worry." Flamedramon said getting back up. "Got to say he's got some punch to him."
"If he's got that kind of power without Digivolving." Cody said. "How strong is he in his Mega form?"
"Gatomon You better Digivolve." Kari said.
Gatomon Digivolve to….Angewomon
"Okay her flying will make this a little harder but not for long." Takato said. "Digi-Modify….Hyper wing Active!"
The next thing anyone knows, Guilmon gained wings and flew up after Angewomon.
"How in the world." Flamedramon question. "Davis, I might need a wardrobe change."
"You got it, partner." Davis said holding his D-3 out, Flamedramon then changed back to Veemon.
Veemon Digivolve to….ExVeemon
ExVeemon soon joined Guilmon and Angwomen in the sky. As the battle continued the Tamers and DigiDestined watched.
"I think gogglehead might be out of practice if you ask me." Rika stated. "Though I might be the same as well."
"Yay when we lost the digimon I don't think any of us really continued to practice with the cards we had." Henry agreed, "It just hurt too much."
"Well, you got us back now so why not practice a little now." Terriermon suggested. "What card would you have used if you were in Takato's situation?"
Both Henry and Rika thought for a while then took the battle into what has happened to far.
"I would have used a speed card to balance out the power then digivolve Terreimon." Henry answered. "With that even if they could fly, they would still be in range."
"And you Rika?" Renamon asked.
"I'd use an ice card to stop those flames then speed card, with Renamon's fighting style, them being in the air wouldn't matter too much." Rika Explained.
"Got to say that this is a lot harder than I thought it would be." Angewomon said see ExVeemon joined the other two digimon in the sky.
"And it's about to get a lot harder." ExVeemon said see Guilmon getting ready to fight."He can't have too much experience with those wings can he?"
"Who knows but let's not think it would give us an advantage," Angewomon said. "They've avisolly had more experience fighting digimon who gain the upper hand."
"Alright then, I'll draw his attention while you look for an opening." ExVeemon suggested flying towards Guilmon.
"Sounds good to me." Angewomon agreed, flying a bit higher.
"You think they can beat him." Yolei asked.
"It's not really about beating them Yolei, this is just practice." Cody explained. "Besides, it's not really a fair fight; it's two on one."
"Yeah, I know but still they seem to have a hard time with him." Yolei said.
"Yolei's right they've got an upper hand, but it seems Takato is holding back a bit." T.K. said watching the match go on. "He hasn't had Guilmon digivolve yet."
"That's what I mean, Guilmon's a rookie while Angewomon is Ultimate and ExVeemon is a champion. They should be punching he back but he's the one pushing." Yolei explained.
"It seems you're starting to see the weakness in yourselves." Piximon said.
"What do you mean?" Yolei questioned.
"Ask the former DigiDestined." Piximon answered, pointing to Tai.
The younger DigiDestined then looked at Tai waiting for the answer to Yolei's question.
"You guys are strong, I won't deny that, but you guys hold back when you fight normal digimon and not all digimon are peace loving beings like you think." Tai explained. "There will come a time you will have to send a digimon back to its digi-egg."
"We can't. Digimon are alive just like us." Yolei complained.
"Yes, but not all your fights will be up against mind controlled digimon or Digimon that were formed from dark spires." Tai said. "Take for instance Mummymon, he was a digimon that was evil to begin with and so was Myotismon along with Devimon. There will be time you'll have to stop the digimon and talking won't work."
"Guilmion why don't we take the training wheel off." Takato shouted.
"Okay." Guilmon shouted back, landing on the ground.
Digi-modify…Matrix Digivolution Activate
MATRIX DIGIVOLUTION
Giulmon Matrix digivolve to…. WarGrowlmon
"Okay ready partner." Takato said.
"Ready." WarGrowlmon said.
"Well, this might be a challenge." Davis said.
"Okay that's enough for now." Piximon said flying in between the digimon. "I think we gained a bit of understanding about the others so far."
WarGrowlmon de-digivolved back to Guilmon and ran over to Takato while XeVeemon and Angewomon de-digivolved as well and went over to their partners.
"We seem to be a little out of practice, huh boy." Takato said, rubbing Guilmons head.
"Maybe so, but it felt great to have you by my side again Takato." Guilmon said joyfully.
"Alright then who wants to go next?" Piximon asked.
