Summary:
Duel Academy, the school built by Seto Kaiba to foster a new generation of talented duelists is one of the greatest institutions in the world... that said, with the knowledge of three dangerous cards sealed under the school it might be a good idea if someone there was able to keep an eye on things and let Kaiba know what's going on at Academy Island. Perhaps, the young boy with the new Kuriboh monster? He'll need a special deck to use for emergencies but maybe this Jaden Yuki can keep Duel Academy running smoothly while enjoying his special entrance?

It had been a little bit ever since the duel with Wheeler, and he had managed to be released back into the wild while his tormentors are arrested, and there base of operations was abandoned. Thanks to Kaiba he had managed to crush there organization without mercy, and had freed Wheeler, and his family from future torture.
And now it been about 2 weeks since then, and now everyone was settling within Duel Academy like they usually do, and Kaiba with his family had came over to check in on Jaden's progress ever since the duel against the Paradox Brothers with Alexis seeing he is doing well with the Gem-Knights. And right now Jaden is testing the Deck against Syrus who is quite nervous on facing it, and damn right he should be.
"And now Master Diamond attack Steam Gyroid!" Master Diamond raised his large sword cleaving down Steam Gyroid in half.
Syrus cried out as his life points dropped all the way down to zero again.
"That's game Sy! Nice one!" Jaden grinned giving his signature pose. The audience was Kaiba's family of him, wife, and daughter alongside Alexis, Jasmine, and Mindy, Chumley as well, and with Zane, and Bastion.
"Nice one? Jaden that's probably the forth time, you kicked my butt with that Deck!" Syrus complained that Jaden is just being so strong with the Gem-Knights.
"Yeah, I have to agree it Fusion Summons 3 times like every turn!" Chumley agreed paling at the thought of Jaden dueling him with the Deck. "Why did Kaiba gave you the Deck in the first place?"
"I had somewhat asked him, but he said I can know later." Jaden admitted to them.
Kaiba looked at Jaden as he closed his eyes. "At first it was due to a similarity it shared with your Elemental HERO cards."
Hearing that they turned over towards him. Jaden was the one who broke the silence. "A similarity?"
"Both decks have a heavy focus on Fusion Summoning, which means you could adapt to the Gem-Knights fairly easily... and then there's your attitude, a bit cliche but..." Kaiba continued only for Naomi to smile.
"Knights never give up no matter what!" she called.
They turned to her hearing that which Alexis softly smiled. "Yes she's right. Knights don't give up no matter the challenge." She then turned to Jaden smiling. "That much is certain about you." Jaden grinned over wiping his nose hearing that.
"So... how did you come up with them Mr. Kaiba?" Bastion then asked his own question how he came up with it.
Kaiba closed his eyes. "That's a long story. A very long story."
"Does anyone got popcorn?" Jasmine couldn't help a joke with a grin.
Kaiba rolled his eyes at that. "Alright fine, I'll tell you."
Flashback...
Kaiba was dueling the computer while his researchers are studying. Right now Kaiba is working on a new Deck to test personally against his Blue-Eyes Deck the computer is using. There had been prototypes, and designs but overall none are truly working out for them. But Kaiba's no quitter so he opts to keep going on this.
Suddenly the door opened in the control room where his researchers are. "Daddy!"
Kailua paused at that and turned. "I'm working Naomi, can your mother help you?"
Naomi ran in smiling wearing a cardboard suit of armor with fake gems glued on it. "Look daddy, I'm a knight! A beautiful knight!"
"Was that your mother's idea?" Kaiba asked her as he turned to one of the scientists. "Shut everything down for now."
'One of the scientist moved to turn it off only for Joey to run in taking some breaths. "Geez, Naomi, you sure can run..." He the raised before seeing Kaiba walking in the room which he couldn't help grinning. "Hey Kaiba, look what I made for Naomi here! Doesn't she look like the cutest thing you ever seen?" Naomi smiled raising her arms high to be proud of what she's wearing.
"You designed that Whee-" Kaiba started cutting himself off before sighing. "Joseph."
"Well yeah, I asked her what she wants to do, and she answered a knight." While the two spoke Naomi notices something, and walked over seeing a blank card. "So I had gotten some boxes, some old gems that Mai said are fake, and strapped it all together!"
"Well, if she enjoys it then do what you want but I'm working on something important." Kaiba frowned. He then looked at Joey to point out about this important project. "Pegasus is working on several new archetypes for me and for Yugi and he's having me test them, so far only two have had any success."
"Yeah sorry, Yuge already told me of things, and I knew your busy but Naomi just didn't want to wait." Unaware to them Naomi seemed to be doing something to the blank card. "You know she's a daddy's girl through and through."
"I know." Kaiba relented as he paused. "Where is she?"
Hearing that hey blinked and looked around only to notice her at the card.
"Naomi, what are you doing princess?" hey asked kneeling down next to her.
Naomi then smiled turning over with a large smile. "Look here Daddy!" She presented something to Kaiba. It looked like a child's drawing on the blank card that looked like to a armored knight with one of her fake gems on the card as if placing it in. There is also some things written which seemed like effects.
Kaiba looked at the card as he softly closed his eyes. "What does it do Naomi?"
"It needs 3 Gems to be Tributed to summon, and grows stronger with it's comrades in the banished pile, and can take the mantle of one of them with it's abilities!" Naomi spoke with a large smile as she thinks Fusion Summoning involves Tributing, and mistaken the banished pile as the graveyard.
Kaiba chuckled before he paused. "Wait... say that again?"
He walked over to a computer.
Naomi only enthusiastically repeated the effects while Kaiba is on the computer. Joey looked confused as he walked over to see what Kaiba is doing. "Uh, hey Kaiba, mind letting me on what your up too right now?"
Kaiba was typing up the ideas Naomi came up with. "A simple enough card, but one with potential... now we just need a name..."
"Gemstome-Knight!" Naomi spoke over with a large smile raising her handmade card up. "That's the card's name Gemstone-Knight! Cause he has gemstones on his sword!"
"Well uh Naomi... why don't we shorten the name to just Gem-Knight? Cause well... Gem sounds more easy. And let's try having it have a cool name." Joey suggested towards Naomi to differentiate the cards, and simpler to understand. "Like uh for example... Gem-Knight Ruby?"
"No he has lots of gems other then ruby!" Naomi spoke shaking her head that Ruby doesn't fit her card's name as it isn't just ruby. She did give some thought before then finding a name with a big smile. "Gem-Knight Master Diamond! Yeah, that's the name, has all the gems, and is the master of them!"
"I'd like dah sound of that!" Joey grinned over from this. He then looked over towards Kaiba. "Hey Kaiba, Master Diamond sound like a cool name for this card?"
"It does, I'm sending the information to Pegasus." Kaiba nodded.
Just then Serenity walked in. She has a gentle smile despite looking for her brother, and daughter for a few minutes when they ran off. "Oh so this is where you two are."
"Look mommy, it's Gem-Knight Master Diamond!" More then eager to show the card Naomi proudly presents the drawing of it to her mother.
"Oh, I see, your right." Despite not knowing the card, or what's going on Serenity still smiled, and gave those words towards Naomi seeing the card. She then looked towards her husband. "We weren't disturbing you on your work, Seto?"
"Wheeler is disturbing us, but Naomi may have been extremely helpful." Kaiba answered.
"Hey, Kaiba, I'm right here you know!"
Naomi, and Serenity only chuckled on Joey's whine about it before Serenity checked over towards her husband. "So what did she help you with?"
"Oh really?" Serenity looked over seeing the cardboard costume, and the card in her daughter's hands before she smiled over. "Like that Master Diamond she has with her?"
"I've been working on a new archetype, or attempting to, and Naomi may have come up with something." Kaiba answered.
"Yeah, she just happened to find a blank card, and did some work with it." Joey grinned towards his sister wiping his nose.
"Well that's wonderful. Mommy's little Princess Knight." Serenity patted Naomi's head who giggled over from this. "Anyway, dinner is ready if any of you are hungry. Me, and Mai just finished it." Joey, and Naomi cheered from food while Kaiba sent the description to Pegasus for his opinion on the matter to join them.
KAIBA: It was another two days before Pegasus got back to me, and to say he was impressed was an understatement, he started suggesting gemstones I would have never considered, fortunately he was working on a similar archetype so he had artistic inspiration.
SERENITY: And it was a time consuming process. Naomi also kept suggesting fusion after fusion card that we couldn't say no too. When it was done it ended with a total of 7 cards that can Fusion Summon some with unique effects then the typical Polymerization. And Naomi had written it in the way you expect a child to write, and some effects are strong so Pegasus, and Seto had placed prices, or restrictions to keep them from being too strong. After a month when we started we got to see the results.
Now Kaiba is starting a duel against the robot with his Blue-Eyes Deck while Pegasus, Joey, Mai, Mokuba, Serenity, Naomi not in her costume, and a blonde haired boy about a little older then Naomi is watching at the otherside of the glass.

"Everything is set, and the Duel Robot is prepared, so it will take the first move." Kaiba noted calmly.

"Wait that spell that can recycle itself?"
"Indeed, and it's not a once per turn effect. So Kaiba-Boy can take the spell back whenever he wants." Pegasus confirmed to Mai's question with a grin.
"Now, I'll use Gem-Knight Fusion again and this time I'll fuse Gem-Knight Lady Rose Diamond, and Gem-Knight Topaz on my field with Gem-Knight Sapphire in my hand in order to fusion summon Gem-Knight Master Diamond!" Kaiba declared as the first card Naomi came up with appeared above him in elegant armor with a massive diamond in his chest and several gemstones embedded in the hilt of his sword.

"Huh? Well uh, 1, 3, and he banished 1 so uh..." Joey was off guard from this as he tries counting down while remembering the moves.
"4 dad." the older boy sighed with a small smile towards his location. "Topaz, Rose Diamond, Quartz, and Lazuli are in his graveyard now so he gains 400 points."
"Oh yeah... I knew that Caleb." Joey admitted blushing a bit.
Gem-Knight Master Diamond: (ATK: 2900 + (100 * 4) = 3300)
"True, but now I'll use Master Diamond's effect, by banishing Gem-Knight Topaz from my graveyard Master Diamond is treated as Topaz and gains his special abilities." Kaiba revealed while the topaz on Master Diamond's sword glowed bright.

"Battle, attack Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon. Diamond Slash!"
Master Diamond charged in raising it's sword high, and slashed down destroying Alternative White Dragon without hesitation. (Duel Bot: 3800/Hand: 4)
Master Diamond moved in slashed down at the Duel Bot which shut it down.

"Whoa, Uncle Kaiba had defeated it in a One Turn Kill!" Caleb said with a smile never doubting his uncle can already be so skilled with the archetype his cousin inadvertently created.
"And I didn't even get the opportunity to test some of the other cards, but I think this deck will do nicely." Kaiba smirked. "Oh, but Naomi come here for a second."
Naomi moved running over towards Kaiba before jumping up to catch him in a large hug. "Daddy!"
He chuckled hugging her before taking a card. "Can you put this one on my Duel Disk, I think you'll like it."
She looked taking the card, and placed this onto her Duel Disk. As she did a feminine looking knight appeared above her.
"That, is the true strongest monster of the deck, Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Diamond." Kaiba smirked. "Based loosely on your armor."
"Wow!" Naomi's eyes widen completely mesmerized by the monster before she gave her father a really tight hug. "She's so beautiful daddy! Thank you!"
"Yes it's good to thank daddy." the rest came onto the field with smiles. Serenity then smiled towards her daughter. "But Naomi, I didn't hear you thanking Mr. Pegasus."
"Thank you, Mr. Pegasus!" Naomi spoke with a big smile towards said man.
"Of course, I should be thanking you. Your creation was very inspiring." Pegasus smiled gently.
"Yeah, it's also really strong too." Joey smiled over to his niece with a grin. "Maybe you can be as strong as Daddy is, yourself with that Deck."
"You really think so Uncle Wheeler?" Naomi had taken that as Kaiba calls him Wheeler decided on Uncle Wheeler. Kaiba had laughed about it saying she really is his daughter to recognize Wheeler as a dog even before she truly understands him, and Joey was a bit annoyed from it but he eventually grew into it.
"Yeah, I mean... you're a little young to be a professional like your uncle, but when you're older you'll be winning tournaments left and right." Joey grinned.
SERENITY: We're still waiting for her to get a little older but Caleb is helping her with the rules and she's trying to find cards that she likes... the Gem-Knights were our first thought but she wanted her special cards to help people, hence Seto giving them to someone he thought was trustworthy.
Flashback End...
"Awww, Kaiba's daughter came up with the Deck?"
"That's so adorable!"
Both Mindy, and Jasmine seemed to be lost in the adorableness that Naomi had done with making the Deck herself from child antics with the cardboard box Joey fashioned for her, and came up with it that eventually became the Deck it is now. And now Jaden is using it as it suits him, and that she wanted them to help people.
"Did Yugi ever test the deck?" Alexis inquired.
"He did once... once, and he didn't know what he was doing." Serenity chuckled over how stumped Yugi looked when he attempted the Deck.
"You're kidding, Yugi couldn't use these cards?" Jaden asked in shock. "But... they're so intuitive... it just comes so naturally to me."
"Well he uses Dark Magician more, and Ritual." Kaiba shrugged over figuring that's the reason why.
"Maybe..." Jaden shrugged. "Still it's hard to believe such a sweet deck was made by a little girl, that's really awesome."
Naomi blushed a bit at the compliment. "Thank you."
"Yeah it's really helped him out. First against Chazz, and then this Shadow Duelist." Syrus also agreed over it from how strong it is.
"And anything that comes up in the future." Jaden added.
"So Jaden mind if you summon Lady Brilliant Diamond real quick?"
Blinking at the request from Serenity, Jaden did that summoning Lady Brilliant Diamond which Naomi stared up with widen eyes.
"She is beautiful, and she's got a sweet effect to bring out her other Gem-Knights... kind of like a queen making someone a knight?" Jaden asked. "Was that the idea?"
Naomi nodded over with a smile over. "Like Master Diamond! That's her king!"
"Exactly." Jaden grinned before pausing and blushing a bit. "I mean... yeah."
"Like Ms. Rhodes?" Naomi asked him if she's his queen.
Jaden froze at that as his blush got even brighter.
"Looks like a yes to me." Mindy laughed. "Though a good knight takes care of all the fair maidens right Jaden?"
He just blushed as he nodded. Alexis slowly walked over taking his arm. "He has been doing that." She smiled up towards him. Jaden blushed but nodded.
"Well, keep me informed if anything happens." Kaiba told him calmly.
Jaden nodded over before Naomi gave him a big hug surprising him. Jaden smiled hugging her back. "You're so sweet Naomi, thanks."
"Keep helping people with them." Naomi spoke with a large smile.
"You bet, that's a promise from your knight in... red armor." Jaden grinned looking at his blazer.
Naomi giggled hearing that. The entire room started to laugh in agreement with even Kaiba chuckling slightly to himself.
Ulrich362: Well... not what we originally planned but a short little origin of the Gem-Knights... of course, after something peaceful comes something dangerous.
