Rise of the Great Beast: Part 2
"Walk Into the Light"
'Now, Great Leviathan, crush the Nameless Pharaoh and his friends with their own darkness!' Dartz declared as the eight felt the great pressure being put on them. "Leave them alone!" Yugi shouted as he rushed towards them. "No, Yugi, stay back!" Yami shouted, causing the boy to stop. "This is our fight. Leave it to us." Rainbow added, reassuringly. "Not only does Yami have to prove that his rage is gone, but we must prove that what darkness Dartz thinks we have is VASTLY outmatched by our light." Rarity added.
Yugi then thought back to the moment Yami played the Seal of Orichalcos during that first duel against Raf. "When I played that forbidden field spell, I unlocked the evil within my own heart. Ever since then, after we were separated, I've been fighting the anger within me! And now its destroying me!" Yami stated. "Not to mention it's putting a strain on us, but not as bad as Yami." AJ pointed out. "Wait, didn't Yami stopped the darkness inside him?" Yugi asked.
"Yugi, facing you in that duel was the first step on Yami's path to conquering his own darkness, but there's still a long way for him to go." Fluttershy added as she and the others felt the strain. "The power of this darkness knows no bounds." Yami said as he remembered his duel against Yugi. The dark force took shape into the Great Leviathan as it continued to consume and destroy Yami and the Mane 7. "Come on, guys! You can fight this! Like Rarity said, she and her friends have good that vastly outweighs the evil, so you need to do the same, Yami! Think of your friends! All of them!" Yugi shouted.
"He's right. Like us, you're filled with the light of friendship, so Dartz can't win." Twilight concurred. At that moment, Yami remembered the closing moments of his duel against Dartz, specifically when Dartz tried to convince him to surrender until he prevented the Seal of Orichalcos from stealing his soul by thinking of all his friends and allies, including the Swordsmen.
"Thanks to my friends, I have enough power to banish the darkness inside of me!" Yami declared. "As do we." Twilight added as she and her friends held hands. "With the power of everyone in our hearts, we shall seal you away! BEGONE!" Yami bellowed.
'Empty words! Great Leviathan, vanquish their souls for all eternity!' Dartz declared as the sky darkened. "Get out of there while you still can!" Yugi shouted. "Trust us, Yugi!" Yami replied before a powerful rainbow light coiled around the Great Leviathan and dragged it into the Millennium Puzzle. 'NO! This is impossible!' Dartz shouted. "Not quite. For like hope..." Twilight began. "Happiness..." AJ added. "Unity..." put in Rarity and Spike. "Harmony..." Fluttershy continued. "Trust..." Rainbow added. "And faith..." finished Pinkie. "FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC!" shouted all seven.
Soon, the Great Leviathan was smothered by the rainbow light and trapped within the Millennium Puzzle and destroyed in the process. At that moment, the dark clouds faded above the USS Courage. "Admiral, the hurricane seems to have broken up." said the lieutenant. "This seems like a miracle." admitted the admiral. Meanwhile, in Arizona, Rebecca, Duke and Arthur saw the light breaking through the clouds. "It seems that the darkness is lifting." Arthur pointed out.
Back in Atlantis, Yami collapsed from the strain while the Mane 7 staggered, but stayed on their feet. "Are you alright?" Yugi asked. "I'm fine. The Great Leviathan, is gone." Yami replied. "He's right. This whole mess, Dartz's plan, it's all over." Twilight added. They looked and saw Dartz's seemingly unconscious body. "Speaking of whom, what will become of him?" Rarity asked.
Dartz soon got up, his right eye no longer turquoise, and saw his father, his daughter and Skye, as did the others. "It's Ironheart, and Chris!" Yami said in surprise. "And Skye, too." Fluttershy added as both of them helped Dartz sit up. "Father. Chris, it's you." he said in surprise. "Dad, you're back." Chris said with tears in her eyes. "At long last, and you have the Nameless Pharaoh to thank. He and seven of his friends from another world drove out the evil force that controlled you." Ironheart added. "Not only that, it was dragged into the Millennium Puzzle, and likely destroyed." Twilight pointed out.
"I knew it. Deep down, you're a noble ruler, Dartz." Yami said. "And a great father. I missed you so much, dad." Chris added as she cleared the tears from her eyes. "Your work here is now complete. You may all go in peace. Great things await you, especially you, Pharaoh. So return now to your world by stepping through that portal." Ironheart said.
"But what about you? Are all of yawl gonna be okay?" AJ asked. "Yes, for the first time in centuries." Ironheart replied. "Come on, Yugi. Let's go home." Fluttershy said with a smile. Yugi nodded and all of them stepped through the portal after taking one last look back at the Royal Family of Atlantis. "Dad, we should go too. After all this time, we have a lot of catching up to do." Chris suggested.
Soon and suddenly, the entire city fell to the sea and began to sink again. At that moment, Seto and Joey came running out, with Seto telling Mokuba to start the engines of the helicopter. "Seto! You're back!" Mokuba said in delight. "Time to get out of here." Seto added. "Not without Yugi, Spike and the girls!" Tea insisted, causing Joey and Seto to look back, realizing they weren't following behind them. "Don't tell me, they're still in there?!" Joey said in shock.
"There's a tidal wave coming our way, we have to leave!" Mokuba shouted. "Mokuba's right, we can't wait until that wave is about to drown us!" Seto concurred. Joey tried to run back in to find them, but Tristan held him back. "Joey, we have to trust that they made it out on their own." he insisted. Nevertheless, everyone boarded the chopper and left just before the tidal wave hit and sank Doma Island. "Good riddance to Doma Island." Seto said. "I just hope Yugi and the others weren't still in the temple." Mokuba admitted. "So do we." Tea concurred.
Elsewhere, in Phoenix, Weevil and Rex woke up from their comas, unaware of where they were. "Huh? What am I doing in a hospital?" Rex asked. "I think its obvious who did this to us." Weevil replied before they both knew the man responsible for this was named Dartz. "You'll pay for this, Dartz!" they both shouted before they got up and left the room. At the same time, Alister woke up, wondering where he was. He soon saw the busted and broken Mobile Suit Gundam action figure next to him before remembering the last moments he spent with his brother.
"Mikey..." he said before shedding a tear. "I know you're with mom, but I promise to carry you with me in my memory and my heart." he added. Elsewhere, Valon was waking up. "Wait, this is my summer home." he said in surprise before wondering if what he went through was a dream, including his duel with Joey. He sat up and heard something fall to the floor, it was a Duel Monsters card. Cyber Harpie. He walked out to the terrace, knowing who left that card for him. "I'll never forget you. Thanks, Mai." he said as he looked up at the sky with the sun setting over the horizon.
Meanwhile, Mai was cruising along on her bike on a beach. 'I'm glad that mess is over. Now to pick up the pieces, starting by reconciling with the one I love.' she thought before remembering her entire time as part of Doma, from her initiation, her duels against Joey and how she almost lost him forever. 'Maybe he'll forgive me for turning on him, or maybe he won't, but at least its worth a try. Now that the entire Doma nightmare is over, I need to fix my life. And I know I will.' she thought as she rode on.
Meanwhile, on a deserted island, Yugi and the others were washed up on the shore. "Yugi, heroes of Equestria, wake up." said a voice. They all did so and looked around. "Any idea where we are?" Rainbow asked. "Seems like an island, but how'd we wash ashore?" Twilight replied. "Someone must've guided us here." Yami figured before they saw an aurora overhead. Right then and there, Dark Magician Girl and the Knights of Atlantis, Timaeus, Hermos and Critias, appeared.
"Dark Magician Girl. Was it you and the Knights of Atlantis that brought us here?" Rarity asked. "Yes. We four are forever in your debt. Not only have you rescued your own world, but you've saved the creatures of our world, as well." Dark Magician Girl replied. "Thanks to your act of heroism and fearlessness, the Dominion of the Beasts can once again flourish just as it did so many years ago. And by breaking the spell that imprisoned the Legendary Knights, they can continue to protect our land." she added.
"I'm just glad we could help. All of us." Yugi said. "Thank you all. You fought bravely. Farewell." Timaeus said. "You nine will never be forgotten." put in Critias. "For as long as we reign." finished Hermos. "Well, we couldn't have done it without you. In the face of ultimate darkness, your courageousness sparked a light so incredibly strong, it will burn for all eternity." Yami pointed out. "Thank you. We shall meet again someday." Timaeus replied before the three knights returned to the Dominion of the Beasts.
"The time may come that we need each other again. If so, you know where I'll be, right there in your deck." Dark Magician Girl said before returning home. "You're just a single draw of a card away." Pinkie said as they watched her join the knights. Up in the sky, the others saw the aurora. "There's that aurora again." Tea said. "And that explains why." Joey added before they all, including Seto and Mokuba, saw the three Knights of Atlantis and Dark Magician Girl make their way home. "Guess now that their world is safe again, they're heading home." Mokuba figured.
"It seems that maybe there is some sliver of truth to the lore and myths of Duel Monsters." Seto said. Right at that moment, Joey's Claw of Hermos card vanished from his hand as he held it. "And with the knights leaving, their cards are leaving, too." the underdog figured. Soon, The Fang of Critias card did the same thing. "Oh, well. At least it was an honor to battle alongside a knight. Even though Critias is gone, my deck is still one of the best." Seto said. 'I hope Yugi and the others are alright.' Tea thought.
Suddenly, she saw something out the window, or rather someone. "Hey, it's Yugi and the others!" Tristan said in delight. "Guys, look! They all made it!" Yugi shouted. "Thank goodness." Fluttershy added before the helicopter landed and the rest of the heroes of Domino City disembarked. "I knew we'd find you guys!" Tea said, relieved that they did. "Is this whole thing really over?" Joey asked. "It is. Now let's head home." Twilight replied. "Smart idea, Twilight!" Mokuba called out.
'Dare I say it, I'm actually getting used to their company.' Seto thought. "Alright, then! Next stop; Domino City, Japan!" Joey declared as they all boarded. "Well, not for me and my friends." Twilight said. "How come?" Tristan asked. "If you don't mind, Kaiba, could you drop us off at sunny Florida?" Rainbow asked. "After all this, I'm thinking we deserve a break from saving the world." AJ added. "For once, I'm in full agreement." Seto replied. "We obviously know you and Mokuba can't join us, you have to get back all of the company shares Dartz bought." Rarity pointed out. Seto just nodded with a smile.
'We may have stopped Dartz, but Yami's not done yet. Now he has to pick up where he left off before all this craziness started. Because the biggest adventure of all is still ahead, and it won't be over until Yami unlocks all the secrets of his past. He needs to learn who he really is, and why his spirit was brought back. Maybe then, he'll finally be able to cross over to the other side. Well, no matter what happens, one thing's for sure; whatever he finds out there, and whatever he needs to face, his majesty won't have to do it alone.' Yugi thought.
Soon, Yugi boarded the helicopter, the engines whirred to life, and it took off. First stop, sunny Florida for the Mane 7. Second and last stop, Domino City, Japan. Home sweet home for Yugi Muto, keeper of the Millennium Puzzle and the spirit of the Nameless Pharaoh.
