Chapter 41
Epilogue
The KaibaCorp chopper soon landed at Jacksonville International, where the Mane 7 departed. "You sure you don't want to come with us, Yugi?" Fluttershy asked. "I'm sure. Maybe we'll get to go to the beach next time. Maybe, say, during the class trip near the end of our time as students of Domino High." Yugi replied. "Its his choice, sugar cube." AJ pointed out. "Okay, but I promise we'll be back soon. Once we get all the rest we can, we'll take the first flight to Japan." Fluttershy said before kissing Yugi.
"See you soon." Yugi said before the helicopter took off again, bound for Domino City. "Like you said, we'll see them again." Rarity said, reassuringly. "You're right." Fluttershy replied. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's head to the nearest beach town, buy what we need and have some fun in the sun!" Rainbow shouted. "I'll hail a cab." Spike said before attempting to do so.
Soon, they flagged down a cab or two and the drivers took them to the Sunrise Surf Shop. "Alright, let's look for what we need and boogie!" Pinkie said with a goofy grin. "Spikey, I'll make sure you get the perfect pair of trunks, since you couldn't pack yours." Rarity said. "Thanks, Rarity. But you didn't pack your swimsuit from our date." Spike pointed. "Don't worry, Spike, we'll all get new swimsuits." Twilight said with a warm smile.
"And don't forget the essentials." Rarity pointed out. "Don't fret, Rarity. I have a list right here." Pinkie said before pulling out a list naming off what they needed for a perfect day at the beach, including swimsuits, sunblock, tanning oil for Rarity and Spike and toys such as a shovel and bucket for building sand castles or looking for and gathering shells, a mask and snorkel and even a pool floatie.
Soon, the group started shopping around. Twilight looked for mainly the essentials while Pinkie looked for the toys. Everyone else looked for swimwear. Once they finalized their purchases, they headed out the door and toward the beach. "There's some changing cabins over there." Fluttershy said. They all headed into the available changing cabins and tried on their new swimsuits.
Twilight was first to come out, with a purple one piece swimsuit covered in sparkles. In fact, it attracted the attention of one of the guys walking to the beach. "Not bad, huh?" she said, teasingly before winking. The guy smiled and walked on with a blush on his face while Twilight giggled. 'First time I ever flirted with a guy.' she thought before giggling. Pinkie came out with a lovely pink one piece with a frilly skirt that had multiple colors on it, while also carrying some of the things she bought. "I got the shovels, buckets and even a floatie to make this the best beach day EVER!" she shouted with a goofy smile.
Twilight simply rolled her eyes, shook her head and smiled. AJ was next to come out, wearing a blue bikini top with some white on it while the bottom was green with red spots. "Not too bad, if I say so myself." she said. "Oh, yeah? Well, that might not attract a boy's attention compared to this!" Rainbow declared as she came out next. She was wearing a rainbow bikini with lightning bolts on both the top and bottom. "Kind of gives a vibe that says, I'm fast, cool, nice and sexy." she bragged. "Come on, Rainbow, I didn't come here for a competition." AJ stated. "But unless you think you can attract the attention of a guy before me..." she added.
Twilight and Pinkie just giggled. Soon, Fluttershy came out. She was wearing what looked like a light blue one piece swimsuit with palm leaves on it. "I hope Yugi likes this one when I see him again." she said. "He'll love it." Twilight replied. Then, Spike came out wearing green trunks with purple flames. "I bet Rarity's gonna like these." he said before removing his shirt and tossing it into the bag inside the changing cabin and locking it.
"Guess I'm the last one out, then." Rarity said before she walked out with a beautiful purple two piece bikini. "What do you think, Spikey? It's not as stunning as the one you got me, but it works." she said. Spike simply smiled and sighed. "Sounds like someone's in love." Pinkie said teasingly before they all shared a laugh. "Alright, last one on the sand is a rotten egg!" Rainbow shouted before she made a dash for the shoreline. "Hang on there, partner! You forgot the sunscreen!" AJ shouted as she ran after her, with the others following after.
Sometime later, the girls were all enjoying their own activities for their beach day. Pinkie was splashing around and swimming in the ocean before spotting a manatee floatie coming her way. "And where'd you come from?" she wondered before a little girl called to her. "Excuse me, but that's my floatie." she said. "Oh, sure. Anyone with a floatie this cute is a friend of mine. Name's Pinkie." the party girl said. "I'm Susan. My uncle brought me here, I'm trying to learn how to swim, but I guess I still haven't completely left my manatee floatie behind." the girl replied.
"Don't worry, I can teach you. Besides, I had some treats about an hour and a half ago, so I'm raring to go!" Pinkie said with a perky smile. "Let me ask my uncle if its okay for you to teach me." Susan replied before heading off and coming back a bit later. "He said sure. So you can teach me!" she said. Pinkie squeed with happiness. "Alright, so, first thing you need to do is try floating on your back." the party girl said as she helped Susan start her lessons.
Elsewhere, Twilight was reading a book. 'I can't believe that someone left this book in the lost and found at the Sunrise Surf Shop.' she thought. 'Well, maybe I might be able to find out which pharaohs reigned in 3000 BC, so that way I can narrow down what Yami's actual name was.' she added, yet her attention often drifted off when she saw a guy walking around and found herself gazing at his pecs and abs. 'Come on, Twilight, focus! Just because there's a lot of guys without shirts on doesn't mean you have to get distracted. By their large biceps, their rock-solid abs and pecs chiseled from granite...' she continued as she found herself more and more distracted, but she eventually snapped out of it.
On another part of the beach, AJ and Rainbow were simply just looking around searching for guys. "Guess whoever gets the most attention from the single fellers on the beach wins our little competition." AJ said. "That, and proves they're sexually attractive." Rainbow teased, though AJ just blushed at the thought. "Nervous already?" the competitive girl asked. "Uh... No way! I'll show you I can get a guy's attention." AJ retorted. Soon, Rainbow got someone's attention first. "Well, big guy, like what you see?" she asked. "Not bad. You work out? You got that athletic vibe." the guy answered. "Well, I do work out from time to time. I'm a competitive sort of girl." Rainbow stated.
As for AJ, she also got a guy's attention. "Well, howdy, handsome." she said with a wink. "Whoa, you got a country accent just like my cousin out west. I like it." the man said. "Thanks. Got to say, you're pretty well-built." AJ replied. "Well, I'm not country-tough like I'm sure you are." the guy said with a blush. "Hey, it's fine, partner. Maybe we can get to know each other a bit more during my visit?" AJ said before walking her fingers along his right pectoral muscle.
The two girls looked to each other and nodded, thinking they both knew their competition was over before it even started. Elsewhere, Fluttershy was gazing out over the sea, her hands over her heart, thinking of only her Yugi. 'I know we'll see each other soon, but what about if its time for me to leave? Do I just forget about you?' she wondered. 'No, don't be silly, I'll never forget about Yugi. Me and him are destined to be together, no matter how far apart we are.' she figured before she looked and saw a sea turtle caught in some litter.
"Oh!" she said before running over to it. "You poor thing. People really should learn to take their litter home and properly dispose of it. Or at the very least put it in the recycle bins." she added before removing the plastic soda holder from the turtle. "There you go. Better?" she asked. The turtle looked and nodded before heading back to sea. "Take care." she called out as the turtle swam out to open water.
Meanwhile, Rarity was just finishing putting on some tanning oil, indicating she was busy sunbathing. "What a beautiful sunny day. The perfect sort of day where you could just drift away." she said before someone came up and covered her eyes. "Guess who!" said a familiar voice. "Oh, I know your voice anywhere, Spikey, darling." Rarity replied before Spike joined her. "Are you having a good time, Rarity?" Spike asked. "Its much better with you here, my love." Rarity replied.
"Care to go swimming? There's a public pool not too far from here if you don't want your hair to get salty." Spike offered. "Oh, how courteous of you, Spike." Rarity replied before they both got up and linked arms. "Anything for you, my crown jewel." Spike said before kissing her. "I love you, Spike." Rarity said with a smile. "I love you, too, Rarity." Spike replied. Soon, they reached the pool and went for a dip, they even had a splash fight that ended with both of them laughing.
It was truly the perfect way for the Mane 7 to celebrate having just saved the world. The perfect ending to the chapter of their adventure.
The end (at least, for now)
