Will mention SVU. Picking up from the last chapter*
Jordan- 8
"Yo! Stabler, get him off me!" The man, Darren, called out.
"You pissed him off, not me. You nearly injured his daughter," Elliot said.
"He's a psycho!"
"That happens when you threaten his daughter."
Hank tightened his grip on Darren. "You're damn lucky I don't kill you where you stand."
After Elliott safely put Jordan back in the car, he walked over casually to the van and leaned against it, watching as his cousin held Darren in a tight vice grip.
"Let's talk, Darren," Elliott said.
"What makes you think I'd talk to you?"
"It's either you talk to me, or you talk to my cousin, and he still looks like he's ready to kill you. It's your choice."
"If I talk, will you get this psycho off me?"
"That depends on how much you give. How'd you get out of New York?"
"I had help, a partner: my older cousin, Tyler. I owe him a huge debt. He said he'd clear it if I helped him with some jobs."
"All the rapes back in New York were his?"
"Not all, half were mine, half were his. I knew SVU had been closing in on me, so I had him help me escape. But I also wanted away from him; he started going crazy with the whole thing. I knew if I told him I wanted out, he'd kill me."
"So the escape was mainly to get away from him."
"Yes. He's freaking insane. At first, he was fine, but then he started changing; the more we did, the more aggressive and angrier he got. After the last one, he did, which was the last straw for me, so I told him you guys were closing in, and I needed out, and he helped me leave, and I came here. We have family out here in Chicago. I was gonna make this my chance to start over. He called and said SVU was still on his tail; he knew you came here to track me down. He asked me to follow you and do anything to get you to drop the case. Even if it meant following you're psycho cousin and threatening his daughter."
"Where's Tyler now?"
"If he's not already here, he's on his way. If he finds out I wanted to get out and away from him, and that I talked to you, I'm as good as dead. You thought I was bad; he became a lot worse. Make me a deal, make me a good ass deal, and I will give you Tyler on a silver platter."
Elliott looked over at his cousin. "Hank, let him go."
The older man hesitated but eventually let him go, the glare still in his eyes as he was still ready to take Darren down if need be.
Darren grabbed his sore arm as he looked back at Elliott. "Do we have a deal? I give up, Tyler; I want a good ass deal."
"You give him up, and I'll talk to the DA. But if you think about lying to me or double-crossing me in any way.."
"No need to finish; you're related to a psycho. I get it."
"He's only a psycho when you threaten or hurt his daughter."
Darren looked at Hank with a slight look of fear. "You know you're more terrifying than most criminals?"
"I have that effect on people," Hank told him bluntly.
"That's not a good thing."
"It's my thing."
"Remind me never to piss you off again."
"Don't piss me off."
Elliott cleared his throat. "Now that's out of the way; we have work to do, so start tracking down Tyler."
