Dinner with Dursley

Private Drive number 4 looked normal as usual. Harry stood nervously behind James as old Harry knocked on the door. It was a week after the accident. Old Harry had told him that they were going to visit Dudley's house for dinner. Old Harry didn't force him to come along because he knew how he felt about Private Drive at that age. It was like being back in captivity where he was always locked up either in a cupboard or in his bedroom. Harry thought about not going along but remembering Lily's story maybe it wouldn't be so bad. He also wondered what Dudley would be like now if he had been nice to him.

Footsteps were heard coming towards the door and it opened. It wasn't Dudley but a little girl maybe 9 or 10 years old. She had fair skin and blonde hair braided back. It reminded him of Luna, Ginny's friend.

Bright brown eyes sparkled with joy. Jumping slightly before throwing himself at old Harry.

"Uncle Harry." She said a little shouting. Old Harry hugged the girl and smiled softly.

"Hi Aster, how are you?" He asked.

Harry looked at the girl in disbelief that it was Aster, Dudley's daughter that Lily had told him about and she looked very close to her older self.

"Wonderful, Mom and Dad are waiting. Come on in." Aster pulled old Harry inside and they followed him.

Harry hesitated but still stepped into the house that had become hell for him. Harry looked around and the house was still the same only it had been updated with new items inside. He stopped unconsciously staring at the small cupboard under the stairs. James who was quite far ahead of him stopped and looked back to see his young father staring at the cupboard under the stairs. He wondered why his father was staring at the cupboard like that. James approached him and nudged his arm. Harry looked at him and was a little surprised to see that he had been left behind.

"Sorry." He said.

"Are you okay Dad?" James was a little worried his father looked a little worried. "Nothing, just remembering something." James wanted to ask what it was but his mother's voice called from the dining room. He and Harry quickly followed. Harry sighed in relief, he didn't tell his own son such things. Old Harry didn't seem to tell him either because James didn't know anything about the cupboard.

James walked over to Dudley and hugged him.

"Oh you've grown so much James." Dudley said ruffling James' hair. Harry looked at him with his mouth agape. He was so amazed at the change in his cousin who hated him so much. Dudley looked at him and frowned.

"Harry, since when did Albus have a twin? You didn't tell me?" He asked facing old Harry.

"No, he's actually me. I accidentally got sent to the future. He's from the past." Old Harry explained.

Dudley seemed fine with it. He didn't seem angry or bothered by old Harry talking about 'strange' things.

"Oh." Dudley also looked at Harry in surprise and Harry could see that his gaze was different. Like guilt mixed with sadness. What was that?

"Guys, why don't you help Aunt Syla cook?" Old Harry suggested.

James knew there was something he was hiding. The way his young father and uncle looked at each other was different. James always felt like his father was hiding a lot from him. When he was little, James often asked his father to tell him about his childhood and he realized that his father mostly told him about Hogwarts. About the Dursleys, his father only said that he lived with them but didn't tell him more.

James didn't even know his father was famous until he went to Hogwarts and found his father's card in a chocolate frog. The card said that his father had defeated Voldemort. He asked his professor about Voldemort and was told that Voldemort was an evil dark wizard. At that time he became very curious about his father's life. He tried to find old newspapers and found many of his father's face on the cover. However, the newspapers did not have much about Voldemort. Only a few newspapers from 1998 mentioned the end of the second war and the rest were just about his father's career as an auror. If Voldemort was an evil wizard at that time, there would have been more newspapers talking about him. James suspected that the newspapers had been removed for some reason.

He would find out more later but for now it was better to obey his father. James took his sister to the kitchen to help their aunt prepare the meal. Ginny also went with them.

"Harry." Dudley spoke almost in a whisper. Harry could see he was hesitant to say anything.

"You know, I'm sorry for what I did to you. I'm really sorry. I know I'm that bad."

Harry just stared at him not knowing what to do. He couldn't describe his feelings. He knew Dudley was better these days but his heart couldn't lie that he still hated him. He wanted to forgive but it wasn't that easy to do. Even when he came back he would face the evil Dudley again.

"I understand it's hard. But can we at least make peace?" He offered, holding out his hand hoping Harry would take it.

Harry looked at the hand. The hatred inside him was still boiling but he was different wasn't he?. Harry had to remember that this Dudley was very different from the Dudley of his time. From the look in his eyes it was a look that he could not have gotten from the Dudley of his time. Well at least making peace wasn't a bad thing.

Harry reached for Dudley's hand.

"Okay I guess."

"Dinner is ready." Came a voice from the kitchen.

A woman looks very young. Her body is slender, her skin is slightly pale, and she has bright blue eyes. Oh, they look similar to Dumbledore's eyes. Harry guessed it was Syla, Dudley's wife. Aster is very similar to Syla except she has brown eyes. Behind Syla is a girl her age. His face was a mix of Dudley and Syla. His eyes were blue like Syla but a little darker. Albus, Lily, and James followed behind carrying some other dishes. The dining table was big enough for the 10 of them.

"Lily I made this for you."

Aster ran down from upstairs. She was waving something like a small knitted doll. Aster handed the doll to Lily. The doll was a pink owl with green eyes that were a little bit brown like Lily's eyes.

"Oh this aster is beautiful. Thank you I will hang it on my bag." Lily kissed Aster's cheek. Aster screamed happily because Lily liked her gift.

Dudley sat at the head of the table with Syla on his right followed by Zinnia, Aster and Lily. Old Harry was on his left followed by Ginny, James, Albus and finally Harry.

Dudley seemed to be telling his wife about himself because Syla smiled at Harry.

"You didn't make for me Aster? You're so mean." James said dramatically with his hand on his chest.

Aster laughed and took out two other dolls from her pocket. One was red and one was black. The red owl with brown eyes and the black owl with emerald green eyes.

Aster gave it to James who took the doll happily. When Aster was about to give Albus's, she was confused.

"Lily why are there two Albus?" Aster asked pointing at Harry and Albus beside him. Zinnia who just realized was also surprised.

Lily chuckled and explained to her two cousins that it was her father from the past who accidentally came to the future due to an accident.

"Oh really? Sorry Uncle Harry. You look very much like Albus. Sorry I didn't make it for you. If I had known I would have made it." Aster said sadly.

"No problem Aster. You don't know me."

"So let's get to know each other, i'm Syla Dudley's wife and this is Zinnia my eldest daughter and Aster my youngest daughter."

"Harry Mrs. Dursley, nice to meet you and Zinnia and Aster to."

"Oh call me Syla Harry. We are family after all."

"Okay, Syla."

Dudley's wife was kind and friendly. His children were no different. Dudley really turned his life around.

Well, here Harry gets to know Luna earlier.
