It was pitch black all around me. I didn't feel any pain from being crushed. My body didn't even feel cold. In fact, it felt warm. This isn't what I imagine death to be at all.

"Viv!" My eyes snapped open as a gasp escaped from my lungs. I'm alive?

I was on my knees and looked around me confused. I happened to look up and my eyes widened seeing a disfigured Titan's face staring right at me. The jaw was wide open and the gold eyes were empty. Steam came from it as it evaporated. Wait…is this Titan the Armored? But…what happened to the armor all around its body? It's gone.

"Viv!" I turned my head to face forward. That was Reiner's voice. I could make out a tall figure slouched over coming through the steam.

Steele gray eyes met golden ones as Reiner walked out from the steam. He was holding his side and I could see steam coming from his backside. Titan markings clear on his face. A breath hastily came out from Reiner's mouth. He stopped holding his side and rushed to me.

I stayed still as Reiner embraced me and knelt down himself. He clutched onto me tightly and placed his forehead on the crook of my neck.

"You're alive. I thought I wasn't going to make it in time. That I was going to lose you forever." He muttered against my neck. I almost couldn't believe this was real.

I lifted up my arms. I wrapped one arm around his back and the other caressed the side of his head. I nuzzled my cheek into his soft blonde hair.

"I'm alright, thanks to you. You were my shield, Reiner." I told him softly.

Reiner lifted his head back up and his gold eyes bore into me. He moved his hands from my back and cupped both sides of my face.

"You have no idea how much I've missed you." He said barely above a whisper. His thumbs gently stroked each one of my cheeks. I moved my hands to gently grab ahold of his wrists.

"You're not the only one." I corrected him. A small smile grew on Reiner's face.

I caught his eyes looking down at my lips before settling back on my eyes. His head began leaning forward to me. I met him halfway and my eyes closed as our lips met in a long, overdue kiss. I could feel my heart pound in my chest and I felt light headed. We broke the kiss but kept our heads resting against each other.

"Children of Ymir." Reiner and I pulled away at hearing Eren's voice in our heads. We suddenly were no longer in Shiganshina. We were in the middle of a dark desert with white sand. A light that looked like a tree with branches going out in every direction lit up the sky. Both Reiner and I had wide eyes as we took in our surroundings.

"Eren?" I muttered hearing his voice.

"My name is Eren Jaeger. I am addressing my fellow subjects of Ymir. Speaking to you through the direct power of the Founder. All of the walls of the island of Paradis have crumbled to the ground. And the Titans buried beneath them have begun their march. My only goal is to protect the lives of Paradis. The island where I was born. Right now, the nations that united with the desire to exterminate my people within our island. They won't be satisfied until every last subject of Ymir is dead. I won't let them have their way. The Titans of the Walls will continue their march until every trace of life beyond our shores is trampled flat. And the people of Paradis is all that remains of humanity." The desert suddenly disappeared and we were back in Shiganshina.

"No…" Reiner softly muttered. I could see the devastation written all over his face. I felt it too. We had failed to stop the Rumbling.

"Reiner! Vivien!" Reiner and I turned our heads hearing Gabi's voice call out.

"Come on, we need to get out of here. There's still Titans on the loose out there. We can collect our thoughts together in a safer area." I instructed as I began to stand up.

Reiner began to stand up but flinched and clutched his left side. One eye closed as he winced in pain. Shit, I forgot he's injured. I could see his lower back on the left side was bloody. It looked like a piece of the wall had struck him. I stared at him in concern and he noticed.

"I'll be fine, Viv. It'll heal and I can still walk. We need to get to Gabi." I remained unconvinced but allowed it to slide.

"Fine, but the moment you drop. I'm carrying you." I warned him. Reiner only gave a nod in response. He knew he couldn't argue at this moment.

I stepped over the rubble and got from underneath Reiner's Titans' evaporating corpse. Once I made it out, I could see dust everywhere as the Wall Titans marched. The sounds of their steps echoed in the air in all directions. I felt a presence behind me. I looked over my shoulder to see Reiner staring ahead at the Titans as well.

"Reiner, Vivien!" We looked back down as Gabi ran full speed towards us.

"Gabi, you're okay!" I exclaimed in relief.

Gabi didn't slow down and I stumbled back as she lunged into me. My body froze with my arms out as Gabi held onto me tightly. I blinked in surprise, she's never done this at least not to me. I glanced up at Reiner and he had the same surprise reaction that I did. He didn't expect it either.

"I'm sorry." I looked back down to Gabi who spoke, "I'm sorry for how I've treated you this past month. All you wanted was to keep Falco and I safe. You wanted to help us and I only ever pushed you back. Falco didn't…he never did. He trusted you and I should have done the same. You saved me again but this time it almost cost you your life. If Reiner hadn't gotten to you in time then…then…" She trailed off and I felt her grip the back of my cloak tighter.

I placed a hand on top of her head, "It's okay, Gabi. You don't have to apologize. I saved you because I wanted to. I knew I wasn't going to get out of that but as long as you lived. Then that's all that mattered to me. You might've been a huge pain in my ass this past month, but it doesn't mean I don't care for you. I care for you and Falco. That's why I've done the things that I did." I comforted her.

Gabi released her tight hold on me to look up at me. Her brown eyes filled with tears that threatened to spill over. She used one sleeve and wiped away the tears. She had a more determined look on her face now.

"We need to find Falco. He should be a human again by now. Was the Anti-Titan rifle still next to you?" Gabi suddenly asked.

"Uh yeah. It should have been covered." I responded and pointed my thumb back. Without a word, Gabi ran by me and into where we just left.

"She moved on fast." I mumbled to myself. I felt a warm, calloused hand grip mine. I looked over to see Reiner giving me that warm look I hadn't seen in so long.

"Thanks for looking after her when I couldn't." He thanked me. I returned his look and nodded my head.

"Got it! Come on, we need to start looking. Falco!" My eyes followed Gabi as she ran ahead of us. She had the rifle now strapped to her back. Compared to her, that thing is humongous.

My look deadpanned as I let out a sigh, "She's still a pain in my ass." I muttered.

"Gabi! Slow down, Reiner's hurt, he can't keep up!" I called out to her as I lightly jogged behind her.

Gabi came to a stop as cupped her hands around her mouth, "Falco! If you can hear me, say something! Where are you?" Gabi yelled out again.

"Becoming one of the nine is a really big ordeal. Leaves you helpless, screws up your memories too. There's no way they wouldn't have grabbed them." Gabi and I both paused and turned to Reiner. He limped behind us as he tried to catch up.

"Wait, who's they?" Gabi questioned. My brows furrowed in thought. Reiner's right.

"Part of my squad," Gabi turned to me, "Mikasa, Jean and Connie saw Falco devour Porco. They knew he would become the next holder of the Jaw." Reiner nodded his head in agreement.

"They would have deemed him too important to leave behind. They'll bring him back to the Scouts." Reiner suddenly flinched in pain again before falling to the ground.

"Reiner!" I called out and ran over to him. Gabi followed right behind me.

"What's wrong? Did you use all your power?" Gabi questioned him. I knelt next to Reiner and looked at the wound. Steam was coming from it. It was healing but slowly. He used up a lot of his strength in that fight against Eren.

"Yeah. My armor somehow came undone. Right as the wall fell, a chunk hit me dead on." So I was right, a piece of the wall did hit him. But how? Reiner began attempting to get up again.

"Reiner, you're pushing yourself too much." I scolded him. I noticed one of his hands clenched into a fist.

"Not enough. I couldn't stop it. It's over, Eren's about to destroy the world." I stared long and hard at Reiner. He couldn't keep going right now, not like this. His body is physically exhausted from holding his Titan form for too long. The amount of healing he did throughout the battle must have exerted all of his energy alone. His armor kept getting splintered by Eren and he kept having to regrow it.

I looked up to Gabi, "Gabi," She turned to me, "You think you can take out a Titan with that rifle if you need to?" I questioned her. Reiner snapped his head up to me in alarm.

Gabi nodded her head, "Yeah, I can use it." I turned to Gabi and placed both my hands on her shoulders.

"For once Gabi, I need you to listen to me and I mean really listen. Stay near the buildings and hide in them if you think you can't get a clean shot of the nape. If you have any chance of finding Falco then you need to seek someone out. You've already met him once. His name is Armin, if there's anybody that I trust that can talk my squad out of whatever they're planning for Falco. It's Armin. He was the one with the blonde hair and blue eyes back at the restaurant. Find him and tell him I sent you to him for help." I instructed her.

"Viv, no. She needs to get out of here and warn Marley. There's an airship just south-"

"As if that airship is still there. It's probably either been trampled or already left. Besides, it's not safe to head back to Marley. Not with the Wall Titans marching their way over there right now. The people there are going to be dead soon." I interrupted Reiner and stared at him. Reiner stared back at me in shock before downcasting his eyes to the ground.

I turned back to Gabi, "I'm getting Reiner and myself out of Shiganshina. The Jaegerists are still around. If they find either of us it won't end well. They'll kill me and feed Reiner to a Titan to get control of the Armored. I can slip away now with the Wall Titans leaving. You need to be smart about this, alright?" Gabi nodded her head in agreement.

"Don't worry, Vivien. I will. I'll find Armin and get Falco back." Gabi told me confidently.

I gave a proud smile, "Good. When you do, let Armin know that if they want to find me. They just need to go home. He'll know what that means." I assured her. Maybe…just maybe Armin could also come up with a plan on how or even if we can still stop this.

Gabi nodded and turned to leave, "Gabi." Reiner's weak voice got both of our attention. Reiner tried to speak but suddenly collapsed.

Gabi gasped while I quickly rolled him onto his back. I placed my ear against his chest.

Ba-dum, ba-dum

I let out a sigh in relief hearing his heartbeat in my ear. He just passed out. Nothing serious.

"Is he..?" Gabi asked unsure.

I sat up in a squat as I pulled Reiner up by one arm, "He's alive, just unconscious. His body needs to rest after being the Armored for too long. We're lucky he still had enough strength to close up the wound on his side." I pulled Reiner's upper body over my shoulder.

I took a deep breath before hoisting Reiner up as I used my leg muscles to pull him up with me. I used my other arm to hook behind his legs. I grabbed hold of his closest arm with my other hand. I pulled that arm over mine that was hooked behind his legs and held it. I adjusted Reiner as I stood fully up with him slung over my shoulder. Gabi looked at me in astonishment.

"You…you picked him up by yourself?" She questioned in disbelief.

"I've done it before. He's actually lighter now then he used to be. Cadet corp made sure to teach us how to bring back a wounded soldier when needed. Reiner was my partner for that exercise years ago. He weighed a lot more then. Never mind that right now. You need to get going and remember, avoid as many Titans as you can. The Scouts should be killing them off by now but it'll take a while before they're all gone." I instructed her.

"I know. Take care of Reiner for me." Gabi asked me.

I gave a smile, "I will. He'll be safe where I'm going. Good luck." I told her as I started walking in the opposite direction of her.

"You too." I heard her call out. I walked in between the destroyed homes as I headed to my destination. Hopefully the stables for the Scouts are still in one piece. I know there were people that rode horses here to Shiganshina. I'm gonna need to borrow one.

Reiner's P.O.V

Reiner's eyes fluttered open. His sight was blurry at first before it cleared. He frowned seeing a wooden ceiling above him. He turned his head sideways to see he was in a bedroom. He could hear birds singing outside as the sun's early morning rays filtered through the window. He could hear the faint sound of the many Wall Titans still marching forward in the distance.

His golden eyes glanced down to see he was laying in a bed with the sheets over him. His bloodied military jacket hung on the back of an empty wooden chair. The chair was facing the way where he was laying down. Almost like someone was using it to sit by his side while he slept.

He grunted as he sat up in bed. The pain that plagued his left side before was now gone. He touched the spot with his hand and could feel the wound had completely healed. He searched around the room with confusion written on his face.

"Where am I? How'd I get here?" He muttered to himself. His eyes widened slightly when he noticed the familiar green cloak with the Wings of Freedom stitched onto it. The cloak was hung by its hood on a hook located on the back of the closed door.

That cloak belongs to Viv. She must have been the one to move him when he passed out back in Shiganshina. Only thing is, where did she take him? He pulled the sheet off of him and turned his body to the side of the bed. His eyes noticed his boots off to the side of the bed.

He grabbed each boot and put them on. He tied up the laces and stood fully up. He caught himself on the wall as a wave of dizziness hit him. Once he felt stable enough, he began walking towards the door. He paused and went to grab his Marleyan military jacket but stopped. He eyed the hole and blood on the jacket. He refrained from picking up the jacket and continued to the door.

He slowly opened the door to reveal a short hallway. To the left led to two more additional doors. To the right led to a more open area. Wherever Viv had taken him, this place was rather small. It was even smaller than his home back in Liberio.

Liberio. A sadness hit him in his chest. Liberio would be flattened from the Rumbling. His home and his family would be gone along with it. The sound of dishes colliding together snapped him from his thoughts. His brows furrowed in confusion as he walked down the right of the hallway.

He expected to see Viv was the source of the noise. He was shocked when he turned the corner and saw a woman he didn't recognize. She was wearing a yellow long sleeve shirt with the sleeves folded above her elbows. A long brown skirt that stopped just before her shoes. She had a white apron tied around her. Reiner could only see the back of her head. She had long gray and brown hair that stopped in her mid back.

Reiner stared at the woman now completely confused. She was washing dishes and he could see a plate of food on the kitchen table. Two other plates still sat there but the food had been eaten. He could see a city in the distance through the kitchen window and the Wall Titans still marching on.

The woman paused what she was doing and turned her head. Reiner held back a gasp seeing familiar gray eyes staring at him. They weren't as bright as Viv's but there's no doubt in his mind. Those are the same eyes as Viv. Is this woman…could she be..?

"Oh, you're awake. Vivien was certain you would have slept through the entire day. I wasn't sure so I made enough breakfast for everyone. Sit down and eat, you must be starving." The woman ushered him. She gestured to the table with her hand.

"Uh…I'm sorry but are you..?" Reiner managed to find his voice.

The way the woman tilted her head and raised a brow at him. Reiner saw a flash of Viv's face instead of the woman.

"Vivien's mother? Yes, that would be me. From the look on your face, you probably see the resemblance I take it?" She guessed. Reiner said nothing but nodded his head once.

"She takes after her father when it comes to her hair color and looks. But her eyes and mannerisms she gets from me." The woman stepped away from the sink and dried her hands in her apron.

She held her hand out, "Evelynn Grimason. It's nice to finally meet you, Reiner Braun." Reiner stared at the woman in surprise. He stared at Evelynn's hand before taking her hand in his for a handshake.

"You know my name?" Reiner questioned her. Evelynn gave a light chuckle and pulled her hand back.

"I know more than just your name, young man. My daughter has returned home every once in a while in the past three years. There were many a night where she confided in me. How a young man from her cadet corp had stolen her heart and swept her off her feet. Only to find out that very same man was responsible for the gruesome attack that changed our world forever. That he could turn into the very creatures she was taught how to kill. How she had to fight against that young man as enemies. Her duties as a soldier forced her to, she had no choice. Then everything came crashing down for my daughter when she received a letter from that man." Reiner could only stare at Evelynn wide eyed. His mouth slightly opened as no expression came to his face. Viv had told her mother everything.

"She also told me that she couldn't bring herself to move past him. Even though he had a troubled mind, my daughter just couldn't forget about him. She could forgive him, but never forget. Her mother, however, is a much harsher judge of character." Reiner grew nervous at the dark look Evelynn was sending his way.

"You have no idea just how much pain you brought my daughter when you broke her heart, Reiner. No mother likes seeing their child hurting. Especially when it's not a physical wound we can kiss and make better. Vivien is my only daughter. She's the only reminder I have left of the man I once loved years ago. She's my entire world and I will do my job as her mother to protect her as much as I can. I already failed at it once. I couldn't convince her to not join the military. Her heart was set on joining the Scouts and nothing would deter her from that. Seeing the Armored all those years ago is what set her heart ablaze." Reiner's eyes widened at the revelation Evelynn just gave.

Evelynn's hard stare eventually softened as she sighed, "But, Vivien also mentioned that if it wasn't for you. She wouldn't be alive today. She's counted three times you've saved her life. The third one being more recent. When the walls fell, she would have been crushed but you managed to reach her in time. You didn't let a single piece of rubble fall onto her and you yourself got injured in the process of it. So for that, Reiner, thank you for saving my daughter." Evelynn bowed her head in thanks to Reiner.

He put his hands up, "T-That isn't necessary Ms. Grimason." He stuttered.

Evelynn raised her head, "Call me Evelynn. No need to be so formal. Especially with how things are going between you two. I wouldn't be surprised if I'd be calling you "son" in the future." Reiner's face turned beat red at the implication. The thought of him and Viv as husband and wife honestly did run across his mind. But that was in the past before his secret was revealed. It was years ago.

Now the thought was back in his mind. The rare dreams he had in between his nightmares with Viv in them. Whenever he dreamed about her it was always the same. He had dreamt that Viv had left with him after that day in Shiganshina. In his dream, the two of them lived in their own home. She had a ring on her finger indicating they were married. She'd greet him with a kiss and a smile when he walked through the door. Once in the dream when he had walked through that door. A small child ran up to greet him. A little boy that looked to be a cross of him and Viv. In the same dream when Viv had shown herself to him. He couldn't miss the bump that perturbed from her stomach region through her clothing. That was the one and only time he dreamed about the small family he and Viv had started. It was just a dream back then but maybe…maybe he can make that dream a reality now.

"Mom!" Reiner snapped from his thoughts and turned his head to see Viv. She was standing in the front doorway. Her face was as red as Reiner's own face. She had heard what her mother had said.

Vivien's P.O.V

I stared mortified at mom who stood in front of Reiner. I had just walked in from outside and heard that conversation! I leave for ten minutes and come back to this! Reiner looked as red as I probably was. Mom had just implied that Reiner and I would get married. That thought never really crossed my mind considering how complicated our relationship was.

Mom placed her hands on her hips and raised her brows, "What? Is it really so bad for a mother to hope that her only daughter has the prospect of getting married one day. I'm not getting any younger, Vivien. I would like to have grandchildren before my time is up." My jaw dropped and I could feel my face get hotter. Reiner looked like he was about to pass out again. His jaw had also dropped, his golden eyes wide and his face was even redder than it was before.

"M-mom..! You can't just blurt that out..!" I tried to raise my voice but it came out nervously instead. Mom looked between the two of us before giving me a teasing smirk.

"Well, the errands I have won't run themselves. I need to head into the village and get some supplies. Vivien, you have Wisteria ready for me right?" I continued to stare at mom in disbelief. The gall of this woman…

"Yeah…she's saddled up and ready to go." Mom smiled as she untied her apron and set it on the wooden counter. She grabbed her coin purse before walking by me. She paused and looked over her shoulder.

"Reiner, you better eat that food before it gets cold." She scolded him.

This snapped Reiner out of his daze, "Uh, y-yes ma'am." He answered quickly. Mom gave one last smile before walked past me and closed the door behind her.

Reiner and I were left in an awkward silence. I heard Wisteria's cry before galloping hooves leaving. I awkwardly reached up and scratched the back of my head.

"So uh…I didn't expect you to be up so soon. The amount of energy you used yesterday during the fight. Most Titan Shifters would be out for the entire day. At least with Eren and Armin that's how it is." I admitted.

"I only shifted once yesterday. If it had been twice then yeah, I would have been out for an entire day. Constantly regrowing my armor is what drained me." Reiner stated. I lowered my arm and walked closer to the kitchen table.

"I see you met my mom." I said quietly.

Reiner cleared his throat before taking a seat at the table, "Yeah, I see where you get your attitude from now." I deadpanned as I stared hard at Reiner.

I took the seat across from him, "Haha, you're hilarious." I said dryly. Reiner chuckled and gave me his smirk and a wink that I hadn't seen in forever. I've missed that. He use to always do that. Give me that smirk then wink. It was his thing towards me.

"But in all seriousness, Viv, your mom seems like an amazing woman. You know she told me off right?" My face dropped hearing those words. Reiner took a bite of the eggs mom had cooked up. After one bite, Reiner quickly ate the remaining food on his plate. Eren and Armin were always starving after transforming themselves. The amount of energy required was extensive.

"Oh no, what exactly did she say?" I dreaded hearing the response.

Reiner set his fork down and looked at me with a serious expression, "About how I broke your heart." I silently cursed in my head as my gaze dropped to the table.

"I'm sorry, Viv." My gaze looked back up to him. Reiner held a face that had pain, guilt, and regret written all over it.

"I had hoped that letter would make things better for you, but apparently it only made it worse. I never wanted to hurt you." Reiner said sincerely.

I bit my lip, "Yet you did. You knew…you knew all along that getting involved with me would never work. But you did it anyway." Reiner clenched his hands in fists as he stared hard at the table.

"I know," He whispered, "Bertholdt and Annie warned me not to. They warned me to stop what I was doing. That it would only hurt you in the end. I didn't listen. I was so selfish and wanted to experience everything life had to offer before my short time was up." Reiner admitted. That damn curse being brought up again.

"Two years left, right?" I asked softly. A brief pause fell between us.

"Yeah. Maybe sooner now with the Rumbling happening. Who knows." Reiner answered honestly.

My brows raised slightly seeing Reiner's fists shake. His teeth were gritted as he glared at the wood of the table.

"Dammit..! I wasn't able to stop it at all! I could have stopped this before it even got close to happening. But everytime, Eren just slipped through my fingers!" Reiner sneered at himself.

I reached over and placed my hands on his trembling fists. He stopped and looked up to me. His gold eyes wondered what I was going to say.

"Stop beating yourself up over this, Reiner. You're only one person. Regardless if you have the power of one of the nine or not. The Scouts didn't make it any easier for you just like how you, Bertholdt, Annie, and Zeke didn't make it easy for us. Annie alone wiped out half of the Scouts on that one mission. She killed even more when we hunted her down in Stohess. Even innocent civilians were killed during her and Eren's rampage. Over one hundred Scouts were sent to reclaim Wall Maria back. Only ten of us made it back to Trost alive. We fought you every step of the way and blocked you off from Eren. I had to think about it earlier, but I think this is partly the reason why Eren is doing what he's doing. He told us three years ago that the members of the Levi Squad were the most important people in his life. In some twisted way of thinking, he's acting out the Rumbling as a way to ensure that his friends live long lives. That was his hope for us. You know Eren, you know exactly the lengths he would go if it meant he could save his friends." Reiner stared at me with mild shock.

He looked down at our hands and slowly opened his fists. He turned his palms up and lightly grasped my hands.

"You know…part of me regrets ever agreeing to this mission." My eyes widened at his words, "Regretting breaching Wall Maria and starting all of this. All because I wanted to be a hero so badly. If I had never forced Annie and Bertholdt to continue with the mission after Marcel was killed. None of this would be happening. Eren would have never sought out revenge. I wouldn't be questioning right now if my own family is still alive or not." My heart broke seeing Reiner breaking down in front of me. Tears were starting to form in his eyes.

I stood up from my spot and walked over to him. I placed a comforting hand on top of one arm and my other hand on top of his hair. I gently ran my fingers through his hair as I looked softly into his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Reiner. I'm so sorry." He closed his eyes and let his head fall against my shoulder. I placed my cheek on top of his head and continued to stroke his hair. Reiner took a deep breath before shakily letting it out. I felt him relax into me as I continued to comfort him.

"I love you." I paused mid-stroke as those words came out from Reiner. I hadn't heard those words in so long.

"I love you too." I responded and continued to stroke his hair.

Reiner slowly pulled back his head. I went to pull my hand back in response but he softly gripped my wrist. I let him pull my hand to him. He had my hand cup the right side of his face. I could feel his facial hair scratch the palm of my hand. He closed his eyes briefly as he leaned against my palm.

He opened his eyes once more and swiftly pulled me closer. I almost lost my balance but he caught me with his other arm. I felt his lips press against mine. I felt myself melt into him and wrapped my arms around his neck. He wrapped both arms around my waist and pulled my lower body forward. I was now sitting on his lap as he held me there. We separated the kiss and gazed into each other's eyes.

Simultaneously, we leaned our heads together again. Our lips melded together as the kiss became longer, and heated. His hands began roaming around my body. I held back a moan as I felt one hand slide up my front and Reiner fully groped the underside of one of my breasts. I couldn't stop my hands from gripping his hair however. A low moaning growl escaped from Reiner's throat. His kissing became more feverish and I felt his teeth lightly bite my bottom lip. I couldn't stop this moan from leaving me. Reiner must have taken this as a sign because I soon felt his tongue swipe over where he bit me. I let his tongue have the access he wanted. A groan came from both of us from the intense make out session.

I felt Reiner's fingers sneak under my shirt. We broke the kiss for a moment and Reiner was quick to pull the buttons free. I pulled my arms through the sleeves then Reiner tossed it to the side. He paused as he stared at my well toned body. I felt a shiver run up my spine as he placed his hand flat on my visible abdominal muscles. I could feel myself get self conscious at the look he was giving me. My eyes glanced off to the side.

"Viv," Reiner called out my nickname and used two fingers to move my chin, "Look at me." He ordered gently. My steele gray eyes met his golden ones.

He had a soft smile on his face, "There's no need to get shy on me now. That doesn't suit you at all. You're beautiful and I'm going to admire you whether you like it or not." He stated a matter of fact. I could feel my cheeks flush from the comment.

"It's not fair if I'm the only one topless." I playfully teased him. Reiner gave me a smirk before giving me a slow and long kiss.

He broke the kiss, "Then do something about it." He challenged me. A dangerous look formed in my eyes. He saw the glint in my eyes and his smirk widened knowing he got to me.

In a second I threw his gray long sleeve shirt off over his head. I gave no warning as I crashed my lips back onto him. Continuing where he left off. He let out a deep moan as I lightly clawed my fingernails down his chest and abdomen. His hands settled on top of my hips as he let me have control. I felt his abdominal muscles twitch as I traced the outlines with my fingers.

"Viv." He managed to moan out my name. A grin formed on my lips as I continued kissing him. I liked the response I got from him. I began trailing kisses down his jawline and towards his neck. He leaned his head back and allowed me to access his neck. Another low moan came from him as I lightly scraped my teeth against the skin.

A devious idea came into my mind as I continued to lightly nip and suck at his neck. I slid my hands further down until I brushed against the bulge in his pants. Before I could register what was happening. Reiner stood up without warning but kept his arms under me so I wouldn't fall. The action caused me to cease my attack on his neck as he walked with me in his arms.

He went straight into the bedroom he had been sleeping in moments ago. He used his foot to close the door behind him. I felt my back get pressed against the wall as Reiner began attacking my neck in the same fashion that I was just doing. I let a moan slip past my lips as he nipped and sucked at the sensitive skin on my neck.

"Reiner." I moaned out his name. A deep growl reverberated from his chest. I felt the hard wall leave my back and the softness of the bed replaced it.

I looked up to Reiner with lust filled eyes. He looked down at me with the same lust as I was at him. Both of us are heavily breathing from our actions. He leaned down and captured me in a more chaste and loving kiss. He broke the kiss and searched my gray eyes.

"Viv…are you sure about this? We don't have to if you don't want to." He asked me.

I smiled at him lovingly and caressed his cheek, "I haven't been more sure about anything. Even if the world doesn't end here. We only have two years left right? We better make those last two count then." Reiner's eyes widened first before they melted into golden pools. He shared the same loving look that I was giving him.

He leaned his head down and gently nuzzled his face against mine. His facial hair lightly scratched against me. I leaned into his touch until he stopped and rested our foreheads and noses together.

"I love you…so much, Viv." He whispered to me.

"And I love you just as much, Reiner." I responded to him. I felt him capture in me a loving, sensual kiss.

We both kicked off our shoes. His hands cupped and grabbed my breasts through my sports bra before he trailed down. I mimicked his actions and trailed my own hands down. I felt his fingers on the fastener of my pants and quickly undid the button. I did the same to his but not before I hooked my fingers through his belt loops. I used my strength to force Reiner to roll further onto the bed.

He stopped and paused for a moment in disbelief. His back now against the mattress and him staring up at me. I straddled him by his waist and gave a smirk. I laid my palm flat on his abdomen before rubbing it up to his chest when I leaned down. I could see Reiner physically holding in the moan that threatened to leave his lips.

My face hovered just inches away from his, "I never did get my turn to throw you around." Reiner gave a chuckle and I felt his hand at the back of my head.

"This type of throwing is something I don't mind." He joked. I smirked as I trailed kisses up his jawline until I was at his ear.

"We can still do more to each other than throwing." I whispered into his ear. I pulled my head back and my smirk widened. The lust filled look was back in Reiner's golden eyes. I let out a yelp as I suddenly found myself on my back once again.

"You need to learn to stop teasing me, Viv. You won't win." I could only lightly laugh as Reiner went back to attacking my neck.

For a moment, both of us forgot about the cruel world that we live in. At that moment, there were only the two of us in this world. Sharing our collective ecstasy and showing the other how much love we held. I wish it was a moment that didn't have to end. Like all good things, they eventually do. And the real world comes crashing back down.
