They stay in the hotel long enough for Bonnie to practice more magic and get a restless sleep. She is far too giddy to sleep properly that night. She has magic. She wonders if this is how little kids who get presents on Christmas morning feel.

Long after she is supposed to be asleep, Bonnie sits crossed legged on the bed. She ripped a pillow and used the feathers to keep practicing her magic. Elijah warned her not to exhaust herself but Bonnie can't stop. She has a wonderful and strange power inside her and she can't wait to learn more about it.

Bonnie giggles as the feathers float above her head. She moves her hand and the feathers swirl from side to side, when Bonnie makes a fist with her hand, the feathers come together and form a tight ball and when she relaxes her fingers, the feathers fly apart. She's holding the strings. The feathers do whatever she wants them to do.

It is the most amazing thing ever.

When she finally manages to curl into a fetal position and get a few hours of sleep, the feathers drop all around her, forming a protective ring around her petite body.

She does not have any dreams that night.

She's far too happy and excited about learning magic to be plagued by terrible memories.

The next morning

They check out of the hotel in the early morning hours and much to Bonnie's surprise they stop at the shopping center a few blocks away. She buys some personal hygiene products and even some makeup. She's never been one to wear much but she figures she should put an effort in her appearance. Elijah is dressed to impress and while Klaus is wearing more casual clothing, he still cuts an impressive figure too. So, she buys products for her hair and face and even gets a nicer backpack to put her things in. She doesn't want to get rid of her faithful old brown backpack just yet but another bag to put her things in won't hurt, especially now that she has more clothes than ever before.

Bonnie feels weird when Elijah pulls his credit card out and pays for her things. The cashier certainly notices the two men accompanying her and gives her a strange look. Bonnie can only imagine what she's thinking and she's not the only one, plenty of curious people had stared at the two vampires as they kept a respectable distance from Bonnie in the aisles as she did her shopping.

Bonnie tries not to dwell on it, focusing on the piles of junk food Klaus selected instead. "I didn't know you had a sweet tooth," she teases him as they exit the store and head for the parking lot. He bought lots of candy and chocolates along with chips and sodas.

"These are for you, love." He offers her a dimpled smile.

Bonnie frowns.

"We have over five hours of driving ahead of us," Klaus informs her as he opens the car door for her.

Bonnie is perplexed. "Where are we going?" she questions as they get inside Elijah's black Mercedes. She figured the safe house Klaus got would be within the city.

"Virginia," Klaus replies simply.

"Why Virginia?" She questions as she puts her seatbelt on.

"Virginia is quite a special place for us," Elijah murmurs as he once again takes the driver's seat. "You had no special attachment to Philadelphia, did you?" he wonders as drives them out of the parking lot.

"No." Philly seemed nice but the days Bonnie spent in the city were riddled with danger, hunger, and fear. She had no reason to stay. She was planning to move down South anyway before she came across them. "I just thought the safe house would be closer."

"Virginia is where we need to be," Klaus murmurs as he stares out of the window, lost in thought.

"Okay." Bonnie leans back in her seat and takes a chocolate bar out of the shopping bag. "I have more questions," she takes a bite.

"Of course, you do." Despite the somber mood that engulfs him, Klaus's lips twitch.

Bonnie grins back. "I made a list." She used the hotel stationary to write down her questions. She makes a show of pulling it out of her backpack and continues to grin at Klaus.

"Fantastic," Klaus mutters sarcastically although he does share an amused look with Elijah.

Bonnie clears her throat. "First thing first, is Dracula real?"

"Of course not."

"Oh." Well, that is a disappointing start, Bonnie thinks as she moves down to the second question.

Bonnie sleeps for most of the drive. She did not get to write down that many questions to begin with and Klaus is not in a good mood, so they went through her list quickly.

She wakes up as they pass through a small quaint town.

Bonnie stretches her arms above her head and suppress a yawn. She slept most of the way and finished all the snacks Klaus got her. The only stop they made in their journey had been around the three-hour mark, when she needed a bathroom break and lunch, and they needed to pump gas.

Bonnie looks out of the window and spots a couple of stores, a post office, a few restaurants, a church, a bank, and a cemetery as they drive through the main road before they take a right turn that leads them to a back road surrounded by acres of farmland.

Massive oak trees line up the driveway to the beautiful white two-story farm house with a wraparound porch and dark shutters and matching front door. There is a red colored barn and a couple of stables too. A thick forest surrounds the back while a split cedar rail fence borders the whole property.

Bonnie smiles as she gets out of the car. She has never seen a house this big. "It's so beautiful." She finds herself grinning as she breathes the fresh air. The weather is rather warm today, the sun is shining brightly, and birds are chirping merrily. There is not a single neighbor on sight, or busy roads, or the noises and smells the city brings.

"One hundred acres of peace and solitude," Klaus tells her with a proud grin.

Bonnie is impressed. "Is it yours or are you renting it from somebody?"

"It's mine." Klaus is offended by the question.

Bonnie laughs, her eyes drifting towards the stables. She wonders if there are any horses. She has never had any pets so the idea that there could be animals makes her giddy.

"You can choose any room you like," Elijah opens the front door for her.

Bonnie feels a tingle down her spine as they step inside. It's a familiar sensation that she has now come to associate with magic.

"Protective spell," Elijah murmurs upon seeing her reaction.

"Oh." She doesn't know why vampires would need a protective spell on their property but she supposes it's a good thing. "Will it keep other vampires away?" On their drive to Virginia when Bonnie went over her list of questions, Klaus told her that vampires needed an invitation to step inside a home. Klaus and Elijah easily stepped through the threshold of the house just now, so it makes her curious. "You didn't need to be invited in," she notes.

"It will keep any supernatural away," Elijah explains as he and Klaus bring their duffel bags inside. "The property is owned by Niklaus. No invitation is needed when the vampire owns the house."

"Hence the need for a protective spell," Klaus supplies.

"Gotcha."

The interior smells clean and is filled with lots of light, it's quite spacious too.

"Living room, dining room," Klaus points to the high ceiling rooms. The living room has two fireplaces while the dinning room table looks like it can sit a small army. The chandelier is pretty, Bonnie notes as she pokes her head inside before following Klaus. "The Kitchen is at the back along with a family room and a sunroom." Bonnie notices the antique brass chandelier in the entry hall, the wooden beams, and worn hardwood floors. There is a good mixture of old with new. The house has clearly been remodeled while allowing its more rustic charm to remain. She likes it.

At the far end of the entry hall is a gorgeous staircase with a galleried landing in the middle where a small table is set between two large windows which offer an incredible view of the woods behind the house. Bonnie bounces up the stairs noticing the painting hanging above the table in between the two windows- a gorgeous forest in autumn, its vivid colored leaves almost seem to jump out of the canvas. The signature on the painting is a simple NK. She takes a moment to enjoy the colors before going up the last set of stairs towards the second floor.

She picks the room towards the back of the house with the forest view. She throws her backpack on the bed and opens the windows. The woods behind the house are plentiful and she swears she spots a lake in the distance too.

The room is spacious- it has a nice queen size bed, a fireplace, a dresser, an armchair, and an ensuite bathroom. Bonnie has never had her own room before, let alone her own bathroom. At her last foster home, she shared a room with her foster sister. At a previous house, she shared a room with two other girls. In either house, there were always fights for the bathroom and more often than not, she ended up taking a cold shower as the hot water ran out.

I can get used to this, Bonnie thinks as she looks over the room. And yet, she feels a hint of apprehension crawling in the back of her mind. It seems too good to be true. There is a part of her that still feels wary about this whole thing, about them. She can't help it.

Bonnie is struck by the sudden realization that this will be her home for the foreseeable future.

Bonnie is going to be living in this house.

She is going to be living with Klaus and Elijah.

She is going to be alone everyday with both brothers.

She's a girl with two hot immortal vampire brothers for roommates.

The idea excites and terrifies her in equal measure.

"I didn't know you could cook," Bonnie comments as she makes her way into the kitchen later that night. She has unpacked her things. Not that she has much but still. It felt nice to put her new clothes in the dresser and her makeup and beauty products in the bathroom. She thought she would be the one making dinner, so she is surprised to find that Elijah beat her to it. The previous night, they had ordered room service at the hotel. Seeing Elijah without his suit jacket, white dressed shirt rolled to his elbows as he stirs a red sauce in a pan is a sight to behold. "Can vampires eat regular food?"

"I can cook if the occasion calls for it," Elijah murmurs. "And yes, we can eat human food."

"But you still prefer blood?"

"Yes." Elijah is clearly amused by her questions. "You didn't have that on your list earlier today."

"Nope." Bonnie is sure she missed a bunch of things on her list. "Sorry, I'll probably keep bugging you and Klaus with my questions."

"There is no need to apologize," he intervenes quickly. "This is all new to you." He continues to move around the kitchen like an expert. He looks good in his white shirt and rolled sleeves.

"I'm going to bore you eventually with my silly questions," Bonnie warns him as she comes to stand next to him.

"I doubt it." Elijah offers her a grin.

"Pasta," Bonnie approves, mouthwatering at the scent. "Can I help you with anything?" she feels weird standing there with nothing to do. She is used to having chores and she's a pretty good cook too. She had to learn from an early age.

"If you could please get the plates." He points to the cabinet. "I'm almost done."

Bonnie grabs three plates from the cabinet and places them on the kitchen island. "We're not using the big dining room, are we?" it seems far too fancy for just the three of them. Then again, Elijah seems like the type to have a five-course meal every night.

"If you would like."

"Nah." She hands Elijah a plate and he begins serving the food. Tuns out, he also prepared garlic bread and a salad to accompany the pasta.

"Next time, I'll cook something." Bonnie promises as she takes a seat.

"We do have your favorite wine in the cellar, brother." Klaus comes in carrying a vintage red wine bottle. He grins at the two of them as he shows them the bottle.

"Excellent." Elijah pulls a couple of wine glasses from another cabinet and sets them on the kitchen table.

"How do you like your new accommodations?" Klaus hands the bottle of wine to Elijah and comes to sit next to Bonnie.

"I've never had my own room before," Bonnie admits. "It's nice." It's more than nice and she has to bite her tongue to stop herself from gushing like a dumb kid over a room. They probably wouldn't understand why it's such a big deal to her.

Elijah pours the wine. "A toast," he proposes as he hands Bonnie and Klaus a glass. "To a new beginning." He meets his brother's eyes before finding Bonnie's gaze. "To Bonnie, who one day will be one of the most powerful witches in this world."

"We will make sure of it," Klaus adds as he looks at her too.

Bonnie flushes and raises her glass. "To you both for being willing to teach me about magic and showing me the ropes of this weird supernatural world-" It's not the most impressive of toasts but it comes from her heart.

The three of them clink their glasses together.

Bonnie takes a tentative sip of her wine and makes a face. She has never tasted wine before, it is not something she thinks she will enjoy much.

Klaus laughs.

Elijah frowns.

The three of them enjoy a quiet and simple meal. Although Bonnie sticks to drinking water, much to Elijah's disappointment. He is a wine connoisseur apparently, and the wine Klaus found is nearly a hundred years old and one of Elijah's favorites.

During the first couple of days at the farm house in Virginia, more and more things start to arrive. Boxes of liquor, antique furniture, Klaus's favorite paintings, and books, so many books on every subject known to men.

Bonnie learns that witches write their spells in Grimoires.

Klaus and Elijah apparently own the biggest collection of Grimoires known to exist. They don't bring all of their collection to the safe house, just the items they think they might need to expand Bonnie's magical education, or items that Klaus refuses to part with. Bonnie is intrigued by the stacks of leather-bound journals but they don't let her touch any of them.

"You are not ready yet," Klaus tells her as he carries the stacks of books to the spare bedroom designated as the witch room. Bonnie is curious to know what kind of spells witches have created across the centuries but she knows she still has a lot to learn.

Every morning after breakfast Bonnie practices her magic, mostly with Elijah. Klaus helps from time to time but he leaves the beginner lessons to his brother.

Bonnie has gotten good at moving things with her mind. She flings doors open and closes them with a wave of her hand. She can move all kinds of objects too, from plates and cups, to books, and furniture. She jokingly suggests wanting to try and lift Elijah's car, he denied her request immediately. It made Klaus laugh though.

Bonnie wants to move on to another lesson but Elijah wants her to have complete control of her telekinesis before moving on to other things. He wants her to keep practicing because witches tend to need to concentrate hard on spells and doing too much magic can hurt. Since Bonnie's magic is instinctual, he has not shown her how to move things with a spell. Why use a spell when she can do it by just thinking about it? He is planning on teaching her a fire spell though. He wrote the word on a piece of paper for her, Incendia. Their next lesson is going to be Pyrokinesis- the ability to create, control, and manipulate fire. Elijah wants her to do the spell but he also wants her to learn to summon fire without the need of chanting. Bonnie feels even more excited for that lesson and for the lessons on spell casting but she has to learn Latin for those. Elijah wants her to know the language so she can master chanting the spells. Bonnie is struggling to learn but she's doing her best. Most witches write their spells in Latin and the spell Klaus needs from her is also in that language.

In the afternoons, Bonnie is mostly left to her own devices. Elijah does not want to put too much pressure on her or exhaust her with practicing magic.

"Magic can take a toll on the body," he tells her when Bonnie protests that she can keep going with their lessons. "If you are not careful and do too much too soon, you will get headaches and nosebleeds, you might even faint."

"I don't want that."

"Precisely." Elijah hands her a book on meditation.

She sits on the porch and reads the books Elijah recommends.

She also wanders around the property, taking long walks through the woods and enjoying nature.

Bonnie is learning a lot about magic and she is also learning a lot about her vampire roommates.

Elijah is always impeccably dressed. That man always wears a suit and he wears them well. Sometimes, he wears a tie, sometimes he doesn't. Sometimes it's a three-piece suit, sometimes it's not. But they are always perfectly tailored and expensive from the jokes Klaus makes. He has refined taste Elijah. He likes good wine, he plays the Piano, and can talk about any subject too. He is a great conversationalist and he has impeccable manners. He is a good teacher too, patiently telling her about the history of witches and the different forms of magic in the world.

While Bonnie spends her afternoons reading or taking long walks, Elijah spends most of his afternoons taking phone calls or leaving the house. Bonnie thinks he goes into town and when she expresses a wish to go, he politely tells her she will have to wait. It's not safe just yet. When she tries to question him further, he changes the subject.

Elijah is very good at changing the subject when he doesn't want to talk about something.

Klaus on the other hand, is more laid back. He prefers jeans, henleys, and leather jackets to suits. He also has a collection of necklaces which he wears around his neck. He is very knowledgeable about magic too and while he leaves the teaching to Elijah, when he joins their lessons, he always has valuable insight.

Klaus prefers whiskey or Bourbon to wine and while Elijah is always calm, Klaus has tons of restless energy inside him. He cannot be still for too long, except when it comes to painting. He can spend countless hours drawing and painting. Most of the time he spends in the room on the second floor, the one with the best light, submerged in his art. He's also funny and sarcastic and loves to banter with his brother and Bonnie. He can also be moody, particularly after one of those mysterious phone calls Elijah always gets.

Bonnie knows they are hiding something.

From the moment they met, the brothers have been vague about certain things. Bonnie still does not know what spell she is supposed to do for Klaus.

Bonnie knows they are looking for something or someone though.

Klaus and Elijah always have hush conversations that stop the minute she steps inside the room. From the bits and pieces, she has heard though, there are multiple people searching for whatever Klaus wants.

They don't speak directly with him though.

The calls always come through Elijah.

One afternoon, Klaus and Elijah get into a heated argument after one of Elijah's mysterious phone calls.

Their shouts can be heard from outside the study.

Bonnie is not sure what they are fighting about but she hears one word repeatedly.

Doppelganger

Bonnie is not exactly sure what that word means. She wonders if they are hiding from a gang and that is the reason Elijah does not want her to wander into town just yet. She gets closer, trying to hear more clearly. She knows they will be able to sense her. They always seem to know when she's nearby, she just hopes this time they are too distracted to notice her presence outside the door.

"I told you," Elijah tries to patiently explain. "Nothing has been confirmed yet."

"I don't care!" Klaus hisses back. "They saw her! They are certain of it. The doppelganger is there!"

"It could be Katerina." Elijah sounds exasperated. "We have gotten word of the existence of a doppelganger plenty of times before. Remember back in New Orleans when those vampires were sure they had the doppelganger and it turned out to be the wrong girl. Or the time we got word the doppelganger was in Madrid, that was Katerina. I told you she was on the move again. I would not be surprised if that is the girl they saw."

"Whether this girl is Katerina or a new doppelganger, I want her." Klaus growls. "Bring her to me."

"I have already sent people to Mystic Falls to investigate the matter," Elijah tells Klaus. "We will know for sure, soon enough."

"I will use Katerina in the ritual, Elijah."

"Haven't you tormented her enough?"

"It's the least that bitch deserves after what she did to me five hundred years ago."

Silence befalls them.

Bonnie bites her lip. She contemplates retreating but instead, she leans closer to the door.

"Brother, I beg you to reconsider waking up our siblings-"

"No."

"Niklaus," Elijah pleads. "If the doppelganger exists again, all we would need is the moonstone, and you will finally be free, our siblings can-"

"We have a deal, Elijah!" Klaus growls. "You gave me your word."

"And I stand by it but please, Niklaus-"

"No! And if you continue to question my orders, you will be joining them in eternal sleep."

Klaus storms out of the study like a man possessed.

Bonnie freezes right outside the door, eyes wide at being found lurking and listening to their conversation.

Klaus growls and glares at her before heading straight for the front door.

Bonnie winces when the door slams shut.

She finds Elijah's sad eyes as he is left standing inside the study.

Neither know what to say or do.

"I do apologize for my brother's foul mood," Elijah recovers quickly and does his best to assure her that all is well. "He just needs some time to cool off."

Bonnie nods and scurries back to her room. Her mind trying to put all the pieces together. They have siblings, there is a girl Klaus wants, and he and Elijah have a deal of some sort. Klaus also mentioned a ritual, could that be related to the spell he needs?

Bonnie sits on the edge of her bed wondering what kind of mess she has gotten herself into. She also realizes that Klaus is the one calling the shots. She had her suspicions but now she knows for sure that Klaus is the leader and he is not above threatening his own brother. What the hell is he planning?

Soon after, she hears the piano, the sad melody reaching all the way up to her bedroom.

Elijah plays for the rest of the afternoon and well into the night, one melancholic song after another.

Bonnie stays in her room not wanting to intrude although she is desperate to learn more about Klaus and his plans and what it means for her and their deal.

The music stops and Bonnie sees Elijah leave the house sometime around midnight. Fear grips her then. Klaus has not returned and now, Elijah has left.

Bonnie paces around her room, uncertain and scared. She does not know where they went or if they will be back at all.

What if they decide to leave her. What will she do then?

Fortunately for her, she does not have to wait too long to find out.

Klaus returns as the fog begins to clear and morning light peaks through the horizon.

Bonnie watches him from her bedroom window, trembling with relief.

She hesitates.

She talks herself out of it at least a dozen times but Elijah is not back and Klaus has locked himself in his art room.

She's always been far too curious for her own good.

The floorboards creak and she winces.

When Bonnie finally makes it to the door, she is surprised to find it unlocked.

She opens it slowly and peeks inside.

Klaus has his back to her, deep in concentration as he works on a painting. His posture seems relaxed, so different than when he stormed out of the study the day before. He stayed out all night and Bonnie wonders what he did during that time.

Bonnie thinks of turning around and leaving him to his work but something pushes her inside instead.

There is a table on the left side of the room, filled with bottles of different color paints, there is a bucket filled with brushes, and a couple of sketches are scattered over the surface. A few paintings hang on the wall, others lay on the floor, most of them finished, although some seem to be works in progress.

This is Klaus's sanctuary and Bonnie feels like she's intruding but she also wants to know more. She needs to know more.

Bonnie looks at Klaus but he does not acknowledge her. She stares at his back as his hand moves the brush over the canvas. Over his shoulder Bonnie sees the piece he is working on, it looks like a forest, there is a beautiful full moon shinning against a dark sky, and the image is reflected over the lake below and to the side, in the corner there is a dog, no a wolf, Bonnie realizes as she gets closer. The wolf is contemplating the full moon.

"Do you need anything? he questions.

"No, I just- Sorry." Bonnie didn't mean to come inside his art room without permission. Klaus does not seem angry and for that she is grateful. He's been angry a lot in the past few days, because of those stupid calls and after his argument with Elijah she feared he would not return. She is glad he is back and has cooled down.

Since he hasn't kicked her out, Bonnie takes the liberty to look through his study. She spots a charcoal sketch that looks just like Elijah. He is sitting in what looks to be a library, a book on his lap, head resting on his hand, deep in thought. There are a couple of other sketches of animals and different landscapes. She wants to trace her fingers over them but she keeps her hands to her side. He is an artist and this is his work, Bonnie does not think he would like for her to be touching his things. "That painting by the stairs, it's yours, isn't it?" she recognizes the NK at the bottom of all his works.

"It is." Klaus keeps his back to her, adding the finishing brush strokes to his current project. "Do you paint?" he wonders absently.

"Not even if my like depended on it." The one art class she took in high school was proof enough that there was not a single artistic vein in her body.

"What do you like to do then?" He wonders. "In your free time, apart from reading of course, and taking long walks in the woods."

So, he has noticed her routine. "I like to dance," Bonnie smiles as she thinks of the little dance studio that allowed her do take a class in exchange for helping with the cleaning. "I've also been told that I have a nice singing voice."

"Is that so?" He looks over his shoulder then. "We shall put it to the test then."

"Don't you dare."

A painting on the opposite wall catches her attention.

It's a self-portrait, Bonnie realizes as she comes to stand in front of it. The background is crimson and Klaus's face is split. There is a side filled with shadows and there are dark veins visible under his eye, which is red. The other half in contrast is surrounded by light, a half human face stares back at her except the eye is an amber color not blue.

"Do you like it?" Klaus appears suddenly next to her, hands clasped behind his back.

"It's intriguing," Bonnie whispers as she peeks at his face. "Why is one eye yellow and the other red? You have blue eyes."

"The duality of my nature I suppose," Klaus mutters.

Duality, having two parts, but of what? Bonnie feels confused and waits for him to elaborate but he does not say anything more. She sighs. She's not going to get anywhere like this. "You have a lot of secrets," she whispers. "You and Elijah, you are keeping secrets."

Klaus regards her carefully. "As are you."

Bonnie's heart skips a beat. It's at the tip of her tongue to deny it.

"You have not been completely honest with us either, have you sweetheart."

She cannot hold his gaze. In a feeble attempt to avoid more questions, she moves away from him, pretending to study his other works in detail. She does not want to open the lid on that box. Not yet. "I don't have to tell you my deepest darkest secrets," she defends herself.

"Neither do I."

Bonnie turns to look at him again. "Is Elijah coming back?"

"Of course, he is." Klaus rolls his eyes. He moves towards the table and begins cleaning his hands. "The noble Elijah wouldn't dream of leaving you alone with his monstrous brother."

"I know how to defend myself," Bonnie tells him. "And you are not a monster." Besides, Elijah gave her his word that neither he or Klaus would hurt her. She wonders why Klaus feels the need to intimidate her now.

"Aren't I?" he challenges while crossing his arms over his chest and leaning back against the table. "You think that because you have spent some time with us and spied on one conversation you know what I am. You think you know me so well," he spits the words with venom.

"I don't know you at all," Bonnie snaps while holding his gaze. She's not sure what game he is playing but she's not going to cower in fear. Her fingertips feel suddenly warm, that now familiar sensation coming to the surface. Her magic reacting to her emotions.

Klaus's lips curve knowingly. "I suppose we will have to remedy that."

Bonnie gives him a weird look.

"You hungry?"

"What?" She's getting whiplash from this conversation and his sudden mood changes. He's looking almost playful now.

"Let's go into town for breakfast," Klaus suggests. "I could use some fresh air." He goes towards the door and stops abruptly. "Do you need to change?" he looks her up and down, she is still wearing the same clothes from yesterday.

"You're inviting me to breakfast?" Bonnie wants to confirm that she is not imaging or hearing things. He was so pissed yesterday when he left. He came back and called her out on her secrets, and even tried to make her feel uncomfortable by questioning what she knows of him and now he's as chill as a cucumber and is inviting her to get something to eat. She knew he was restless and moody but this still takes her by surprise.

"Obviously."

"Elijah said I couldn't go into town yet, it's not safe."

"Do you always do as you're told?" Klaus snaps. "Do you need my brother to come and hold your hand so you don't get lost?" He is mocking her now.

"You're an ass!" Bonnie hisses.

Klaus chuckles, unimpressed by her insult. "Well, are you coming with me? Or are you too scared to go without Elijah's permission?" he challenges her.

Bonnie glares at him. "Fine! I'll go!" She does not need Elijah's or anyone's permission to go anywhere and besides she does want to explore the town and this could be the perfect opportunity to learn more about Klaus and his secrets. If he thinks he is going to distract her, he has another thing coming. She's on a mission now.

She marches out of the room, a determined look on her face. "I'm going to change," she tells him as she makes her way to her bedroom.

"I'll wait downstairs."

As she comes down the stairs a few minutes later, she realizes that this will be the first time she and Klaus are going to spend some alone time. That gives her pause.

Klaus is waiting for her by the front door, dressed in black jeans and a matching leather jacket. The devilish grin on his face and the glint in his eyes, makes Bonnie nervous. She wants to know more about him and he wants to know more about her in turn.

As she follows him out of the house, Bonnie has a feeling that to discover Klaus's secrets, she is going to have give up some of her own.

It's a dangerous game.

More dangerous even, is the thrill she feels inside.
