6 years after the events of Kamen Rider Build, Evolto decides to hatch a masterplan to merge the Kamen Rider universe with the Sonic universe. Meanwhile, after the events of Sonic Dream Team, Sonic was captured by Dr. Eggman and was forced to work in a coal mine owned by him. Introduction

Hey guys, I'm TheFanaticIdiot! I used to make a crossover action fanfic titled Sonic Dimensional Chaos, however that has since been put on hold due to burnout and a lack of free time as a result of me doing school works. So, I decided to make another crossover fanfic. But this time, instead of focusing on action, it will instead be a grimdark crossover fanfic. I took inspiration from Gigi Dutreix's The Murder of Me webcomic, Evan Stanley's Ghosts of the Future webcomic, New Line Cinema's Nightmare on Elm Street and Dimension Films' Scream. The characters will be from the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise and the Kamen Rider franchise.

Timeline Placement

The Time of Darkness takes place in an alternate timeline 9 months after the events of Sonic Dream Team and directly after the events of Kamen Rider Gotchard with the events of Kamen Rider Gavv taking place simultaneously.

Main Characters

Sonic The Hedgehog: A Mobian hedgehog who lives in Green Hill. Right after Sonic and his friends defeated Dr. Eggman by entering his mind and ruining his dream, Eggman managed to capture Sonic and forced him to work at a coal mine for 9 months. When he returned after his over half-a-year stint at the coal mine, he was called a jerk by his now former friends. He's 16-years-old in this fanfic.

Shadow The Hedgehog: A Mobian hedgehog who was created by Gerald Robotnik before he was promptly sent to earth after G.U.N invaded the Space Colony Ark. He's around 51-years-old in this fanfic.

Silver The Hedgehog: A Mobian hedgehog who comes from the future. His world was devastated by an unknown force, so he time traveled back in time to stop anything bad from happening. He's 15-years-old in this fanfic.

Gadget The Wolf: A Mobian wolf who helped Sonic in fighting back to control the world from Eggman. He's 14-years-old in this fanfic.

Houtaro Ichinose/Kamen Rider Gotchard: A high-schooler and alchemist from Furasu High School who transforms into Kamen Rider Gotchard. He has Hopper1 and Steamliner by his side. He's 18-years-old in this fanfic.

Shoma Stomach/Kamen Rider Gavv: A half-human, half-Granute hybrid who was exiled from his family and escaped to Earth, but his family soon caught up to him, thus using the power of the Gochizos and transforming into Kamen Rider Gavv. He's 19-years-old in this fanfic.

Evolto/Kamen Rider Evol: An extra-terrestrial lifeform who comes from the Blood Tribe race and possesses Soichi Isurugi and transforms into Kamen Rider Evol. He's 54-years-old in this fanfic. He's also the main antagonist of the fanfic.

Supporting Characters

Knuckles The Echidna: A Mobian echidna who is the last remaining member of his echidna clan. He lives at Angel Island to protect the Master Emerald from being stolen or destroyed. He's 17-years-old in this fanfic.

Blaze The Cat: A Mobian cat who resides in the Sol Dimension and is the princess of the Sol Dimension. She's 15-years-old in this fanfic.

Future Houtaro/Kamen Rider Gotchard Daybreak: An alternate future version of Houtaro who transforms into Kamen Rider Gotchard Daybreak. He's 38-years-old in this fanfic.

Rinne Kudo/Kamen Rider Majade: A high schooler from Furasu High School and alchemist as well as a friend of Houtaro. She transforms into Kamen Rider Majade. She's 18-years-old in this fanfic.

Supana Kurogane/Kamen Rider Valvarad: An elite alchemist who initially transforms into the warrior Valvarad before temporarily becoming Wheel Malgam before becoming Kamen Rider Valvarad. He's 25-years-old in this fanfic.

Hanto Karakida/Kamen Rider Valen: A freelance writer who transforms into Kamen Rider Valen. He's 23-years-old in this fanfic.

Granute Lage Nine/ Kamen Rider Vram: A Granute hired by Lango Stomach and given a secret mission, thus he was granted the ability to transform into Kamen Rider Vram. He's 25-years-old in this fanfic.
