The Next Morning
The SPD rangers were done eating their breakfast and picking up a bit, then saw Sky sitting on his bed, not wanting to join his friends, he was looking at a picture of his mom and him when he was a kid.
"Hey Sky." Jack said, and Sky hid the picture under his pillow.
"Don't think were going to keep asking you on what's been up with you." Bridge said.
"Because we feel like you don't trust us or we just gave up on you." Z said.
"And you rather trust your other friends and sister, like we don't matter and just want to help to understand." Syd said.
"Aren't you going to say something, Sky?" Jack asked.
"You know the silent treatment doesn't work on us, especially Bridge." Z said.
"I can always read your aura to know the problem, but I won't because I know you'll get back at me somehow." Bridge said.
"Sky. Just say something to us." Syd said.
"Okay. You guys win. I'll talk to you about it." Sky said.
"Finally." Z said.
"It's about time." Syd said.
"Knew you wouldn't keep the silence for long." Bridge said.
"Glad you decided to talk." Jack said.
"But first there is something I got to do." Sky said, and they all gave him a glare.
"Sky!" they all said.
"Unless you guys are okay to come with me." Sky said.
"Sure. Where are we going?" Jack asked.
"You'll know let's get going, before we do I think we need something that will come in hand." Sky responded, then went to get the case where it had the wrist watches that Boom gave them.
"I almost forgot about these watches Boom gave us." Z said.
"He did say it was in case of an emergency, if anything happened to our morphers." Syd said.
"Might as well put them on." Bridge said, Sky gave them each a watch and put them on their wrists.
"At least its something new, to try out these." Syd said.
"Hope Boom is right about these." Z said.
"Can't believe he made one for me, even if I'm not a ranger." Jack said.
"I think were all set, let's start heading out. RIC, alert us if any trouble going on." Sky said and RIC replied with a bark, then started heading their way out, when they saw Andrea here with Alex along with Tyler and Megan.
"What are you all doing here?" Sky asked.
"My dad wants to talk to you, Sky." Andrea responded.
"It's important." Alex said.
"Sky. Who's he?" Jack said.
"He's my step-dad and Andrea's dad." Sky answered, and his friends were surprised.
"A step-dad. There's a surprise there." Syd said.
"You never told us about it." Z said.
"Is there anything else we should know?" Bridge asked.
"Yes, but I can't talk about it now." Sky answered.
"You want to introduce us to your step-dad." Jack said.
"Like I have a choice." Sky said. "Everyone, this is Alex. Alex, these are my friends; Jack, Bridge, Z, and Syd."
"Pleasure meeting you all." Alex said, shaking each of their hands.
"Same to you." Jack said.
"Hey guys. Why don't you all go out for a bit, since my step-dad wants to talk to me." Sky said.
"Sure, will wait for you." Bridge said.
"Come on. Let's go." Andrea said, and they all headed out the door leaving Sky and Alex alone.
"What do you want to tell me this time?" Sky asked.
"I know the last time I left, I didn't tell you and your sister I was leaving back to where I belong, but know I'm letting you know now." Alex explained.
"Does Andrea know too?" Sky asked.
"Yes. I told her, the reason why I'm leaving because I'm bringing in help." Alex answered.
"Help. From who?" Sky asked.
"As in your mother's friends. The Time Force rangers." Alex answered.
"I remember them, its been a long time since I last saw them." Sky said.
"Like I told you before, you not only need my help, they will also help out to if we work together to stop this criminal in whatever he's up to." Alex explained.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but your right, help is what we need." Sky said.
"I'm leaving today, and when I get back, I'll give you my word on telling you about your power and other things too." Alex said.
"At times I want to believe you, though I'm not too convinced of you." Sky said.
"I understand. I won't be gone long and take care of Andrea." Alex said.
"I will. Safe trip." Sky said, and both walked out the door seeing everyone waiting, Andrea then approached them.
"Everything okay?" Andrea asked.
"Yeah. I was just heading my way and wanted to say goodbye to you." Alex answered.
"I'll miss you, even if you'll come back shortly. Bye dad." Andrea said, and hugged him.
"Bye. I'll see you soon." Alex said, then started to leave.
"Surprise you didn't try to walk out this time." Andrea said.
"Even if I did, I know you'll keep insisting." Sky said, then they both walked by with the rest.
"Where did your step-dad go, Sky?" Jack asked.
"He had to leave, he just came to say goodbye to me and Andrea." Sky answered.
"He seemed nice, though you didn't look okay to see him." Syd said.
"Nothing personal, but anyway we should go now." Sky said.
"Where are you going?" Andrea asked.
"To get some answers." Sky responded.
"What do you mean by that?" Megan asked.
"It's been a long time since we were curious to know and never got a chance to know." Sky explained.
"I think I know what you mean." Tyler said.
"Let's get going. I think I still remember the way to get there." Sky said.
"Might as well walk since my dad's car is getting fixed." Tyler said.
"Hey man, don't worry about it, we were saved if wasn't for RIC." Jack said.
"He's right, and even the power rangers too along with dad, the other ranger, and the Silver Guardians." Megan said.
"I was going to ask, where did you all ran off to when the robots were attacking?" Tyler asked.
"We went to get help." Sky answered.
"Yeah. Then we were taken somewhere safe until the attack stopped." Z said.
"We were glad, the robots didn't reach to where we were at." Syd said.
"Then we headed back to the clock tower safe and sound." Bridge said.
"It's kind of weird when you guys aren't even around when the power rangers show up." Andrea said, when Sky started to get nervous.
"Maybe because wherever we were kept safe doesn't want us to go near the danger that's going on." Sky explained.
"Makes sense there, but glad nothing happened to you and your friends as well." Megan said.
"How much longer to walk, Sky?" Syd asked.
"Getting tired already, princess." Sky answered.
"It feels like a long walk." Z said.
"Where are we going, Sky?" Bridge asked.
"Were almost there, I wonder if its still the same." Sky responded, when they got close seeing it was the Collins mansion.
"Whoa. Its been so long since we've been here." Megan said.
"Yeah. Almost forgot about it." Tyler said.
"I can barely remember it." Andrea said.
"What a big mansion, almost as big as my parents mansion." Syd said.
"Sky. Did someone use to live here?" Jack asked.
"Yes. My grandfather did, he died a long time ago." Sky answered.
"Your grandfather must have been a rich man." Bridge said.
"Who knew you had one who was." Z said.
"How are we suppose to get in, its all locked." Andrea said.
"No worries, your dad gave me the keys to get in." Sky said, and started to unlock the door then opened. "Let's go in now."
"Why did you want to come here?" Jack asked.
"My step-dad said that I'll find the answers I'm looking for." Sky answered, while unlocking the front door and everyone walked inside, seeing everything was covered with cloths.
"Hard to believe your grandfather lived in this mansion." Syd said.
"He did. I lived here for a bit with my mom, my step-dad, and Andrea, so he wouldn't be alone. When he died, we moved out and had a new start." Sky explained.
"Even if he wasn't my grandfather, I loved him like he was my grandfather." Andrea said.
"You guys can feel free to look around. Tyler. Megan. Andrea. Come with me upstairs." Sky said, as they headed their way up.
"Wonder what there going to look for there?" Z said.
"Who knows, at least he told us something" Syd said.
"Just give him some time, he says he's looking for answers." Jack said.
"You guys got to check out the back, its so big and cool." Bridge said, then followed him, while Sky opened the first door seeing it was his grandfathers office.
"It's your grandfathers office, remember we played here without getting in trouble because we might break something." Megan said.
"Like hide and go seek, like that one time we told mom and dad that and didn't believe us, when we were actually looking for a key to open to that one room." Tyler said.
"What room?" Andrea asked.
"One that was next mom's room." Sky answered.
"How come grandpa kept it locked?" Andrea asked.
"Don't know, we were little and thought he might of put away pictures in there." Sky answered.
"Pictures of what?" Andrea asked.
"Sky wanted to know how his father looked like, even if we already showed him the pictures we found in our attic." Megan explained.
"Well now is a good time to know what's in the room." Tyler said.
"Hopefully one of these keys opens to it." Sky said, and they all walked out of Mr. Collins's office then walked past a few doors and stopped at the door Sky knew he remembered. "It's this one."
"How do you know it is?" Megan asked.
"I remember it, the last few doors were the bathroom, my mom and Alex's room, my room then Andrea's, my grandfather's room, and this one which was always remained locked." Sky explained.
"Well, what are you waiting for, open it and let's find out." Tyler said, as Sky was unlocking the door finally about to what was behind the door, when he opened it seeing it was a bedroom of his father.
"It's another bedroom." Andrea said.
"Now I know why my mom kept this a secret from me." Sky said.
"I think we know what you mean." Megan said.
"And understood why our parents did had to lie to us." Tyler asked.
"Wait. This is your dad's room. Isn't it?" Andrea said.
"It is. I can't believe this was his room." Sky said.
"Hey look, I found something." Megan said and pulled something from under the bed.
"What is it?" Sky asked, seeing it was a box. "It's a box."
"Let's take a look inside." Tyler said, as Sky was opening it.
"It's a badge. Why would your dad have this badge?" Andrea asked.
"I think this was mom's badge, I remember she always wore one on her uniform." Sky answered.
"Look at these pictures." Megan said, looking through them.
"Aren't they your mom and step-dad's friends?" Tyler asked.
"Yeah. They are, I still remember their names." Sky said.
"I almost forgot how they looked like, I remember we called them aunt Katie, uncle Lucas and uncle Trip." Andrea said.
"Hey Sky, you might want to look at this." Tyler said, showing him a picture of his father kissing his mother on the cheek.
"It's my mom and my dad." Sky said.
"They were so young there, though I still can't believe our dad's look so much alike." Andrea said.
"I think this was the answer you were looking for." Megan said, while Sky was looking at the picture for a minute, finally having a picture of both his parents together.
"Sky. Sky." Andrea said his name and he heard her.
"Sorry. I just can't believe I finally found a picture of both my parents." Sky said.
"At least we knew there was pictures here." Tyler said.
"Maybe you should take the box with you, both your parents would have wanted you to." Megan said.
"Your right, I should." Sky said, putting the pictures and the badge in the box then started to leave out the room.
"We should probably go now, before it gets late." Andrea said.
"You guys start heading down and find the rest, while I lock the room." Sky said, as the three of them headed their way down, before Sky locked it he opened it again and looking at his father's room one last time, then now closed it and locking it.
