Sky and his friends, along with Katie, Trip, and Lucas, were at a pizza restaurant talking about their ranger adventures in the past.
"And that is how we saved the town from evil and how Commander Cruger defeated Emperor Gruumm and in which after that Jack decided to retire from SPD to start a new path in his life, then I became the new red ranger." Sky said.
"Wow. Amazing story you all told us, and glad that things have been great for you, if only your parents can see you now." Katie said.
"So other than Sky, you all have unique powers like him." Lucas said.
"Surprisingly, yes. Even if were different than everyone else." Jack said.
"Why do you say that?" Trip asked.
"He means none of us have had like a normal type of life with powers." Bridge answered.
"What about your families? What do they think about your powers?" Katie asked.
"Well...some of us barely see them. Only on ocassions." Syd said.
"As for Jack and I...we don't have families." Z said.
"We've spent most of our lives in the streets. Never knew who my family was." Jack said.
"I can hardly remember my parents, or if their still alive." Z said.
"Oh. Sorry for the both of you we didn't know." Lucas said.
"It's alright, we've been okay, ever since we joined SPD, we even have good friends to thank for changing our lives and become better people." Z said.
"Well, I'm no longer, but still got good friends with me." Jack said.
"You have some good friends here Sky, reminds us of the good friendship we had with your dad." Trip said.
"I remember the stories you all told me of how a great friend he was." Sky said.
"Remember when I told you when your dad thought he was teaching me how to drive and didn't know I was a race car driver then I ended up getting speeding ticket." Lucas said.
"Yeah. I remember that story, you took driving lessons and became a better driver." Sky said.
"You were a race car driver?" Bridge said.
"Yeah. I was one of the fastest, but now I'm retired and have been teaching rookie drivers." Lucas said.
"He even taught me how to drive." Sky said.
"At least your good and careful driver with no speeding ticket unlike Lucas, who had two." Trip said, then Lucas stomped n his foot.
"Oww! Lucas." Trip said.
"Sorry. I thought I saw a bug on your foot." Lucas said.
"You two will never grow up." Katie said.
"What about you three? Have any families?" Syd asked.
"Of course we do, though the same as all of you, we only see them on ocassions." Katie said.
"I remember when you told me that you once felt home sick because you missed your family, though now I understood what you meant when you had doubts on being here." Sky said.
"Well, let me explain it. It was a when the timeline as starting to alter while we were here things were starting to advance ahead than we thought, I was afraid if things kept changing and wonder if my family would still be there waiting for me to come home." Katie explained.
"I even told you that we were also your family." Sky said.
"Yeah. I remember when you said that, you all have always been my family." Katie said.
"I even remember you told me, how great of a friend my dad was and how my parents were in love." Sky said.
"We all knew him very well and will always remember him." Trip said, when one of their phones started to ring.
"Not mine." Katie said.
"Not mine, either." Lucas said.
"It's mine." Trip said and answered. "Hello. Hey Eric. Yeah. Lucas, Katie, and I are with him along with his friends. We were just about head back, but I'll let him know. Okay. See you." Trip hung up his phone.
"We might as well start going, Eric has to talk to you about...you know." Katie said.
"Right. Understood." Sky responded. "You guys head back, I'm going with them."
"Sure. We understand. It was nice meeting you all." Jack said.
"Same with all of you." Lucas said.
"Take care and you know where to find us." Trip said.
"See you guys much later." Sky said, as they all got up from the table and Sky was leaving with Trip, Lucas, and Katie.
"I don't get why Sky doesn't want us to come with him?" Syd said.
"I wonder what's so important they have to tell him." Z said.
"Who knows, I mean you all have to understand him, when he wants to talk about it, he'll talk about it. Just be patient with him." Jack said.
"If you say so, Jack. If you say so." Bridge said, when he turned and stopped or a minute seeing something that caught his attention.
"Hey Bridge. What are you looking at?" Z asked, while the rest were wondering the same thing and were surprised.
"Isn't that..." Syd paused for a minute.
"It's Sky's step-dad." Jack said.
"Yeah. What's he doing here?" Z asked.
"And who is he with?" Syd asked.
"Looks to me he's with a women." Bridge said.
"I don't think Sky knows about this." Jack said.
"That his step-dad is dating now." Syd said.
"I can't even imagine his reaction." Bridge said.
"Neither can I." Z said.
"Well the man has to do something with his life, so he may be trying to date." Jack said.
"If you say so, though I can barely see her face." Syd said.
"Enough spying you guys, let's just go and head back." Jack said, as they were leaving, when Bridge stopped for a minute and took off one of his gloves and was scanning Alex sensing something in his aura.
"Bridge! Come on!" Z shouted, as Bridge quickly put on his glove and caught up with them.
Meanwhile, Katie, Lucas, and Trip along with Sky were walking their way towards the Silver Guardians HQ and entered inside, heading their way to Eric's office.
"We hope you are ready for this." Katie said.
"Why do you say that?" Sky asked.
"Like we mention this before, it wasn't easy for all of us." Trip responded.
"We just want to let you know that it wasn't Eric's fault." Lucas said.
"I don't quite understand what you all mean by that." Sky said, when the door from Eric's office opened, seeing it was him.
"Hey. You can come in." Eric said, as Sky followed in his office and closed the door.
"Whenever your ready to start, I'm ready to listen." Sky said.
"To be honest, I haven't talked about this in a long time and it was something I should now move on with, but you need to know anyway and can no longer hide any secrets." Eric said.
"Understood. Though I don't get why they keep saying it wasn't your fault?" Sky asked.
"It was a few years ago, when both your parents were able to be together, they both were happy since your mom was able to stay here to be with your dad, they both were in love." Eric explained.
"I remember the stories you all told me on how in love they were." Sky said.
"Anyway, your dad and I were great friends, he was like the brother I never had." Eric said.
"Not to mention, back when you told me you didn't consider him as your friend, and you preffered to be a loner." Sky said.
"You have some good memory there." Eric said.
"Well you are my dad's best friend, how can I not remember all the stories everyone has told me." Sky said.
"Understood. We were great working as partners, not only as Silver Guardians but also power rangers, until that one day changed everything." Eric said.
"You mean when..." Sky paused for a minute.
"Yeah. When your dad came from your grandfather's office, he was telling me after he got off work he was going to ask your mom to marry him and asked me to be his best man and I accepted." Eric explained.
"I remember my mom did say if my dad was still alive, they would have been married and we would have been already a family." Sky said.
"We were then called in of a building caught on fire, a friend of ours Carter, you probably sort of remember, needed help getting people out of that building, he gaves us some gear to put on, when we went inside there was so many flames and it was spreading so quickly, we managed to get every single person out, Carter only saw me already out but he didn't see your dad and I thought he was behind me, Carter had told us the building was about to collapse if your dad didn't get out of there, he tried to get a hold of him through the radio, but no response came from him, I wanted to go back and get him out of there even if it would have costed my life, as I was about run back in when a huge explosion happened inside and the whole entire building collapsed, I couldn't believe it myself what had happened...of your dad had died in that building." Eric said, and Sky felt loss of words on knowing about is dad's death.
"When I arrived back at HQ, I didn't know how I was going to tell your grandfather that his only son has died and your mom too, I was walking my way to your gradfather's office, he was there along with your mom, it made things more complicated for me, because I knew why your mom was there, they both were wondering why your dad wasn't with me, I explained what had happened and they both couldn't believe it, but it was true, he was dead." Eric said, Sky still hadn't said a word and felt tears coming from his eyes.
"Ever since then, I had started to blame myself for not saving him, I let guilt get to me, and I just wasn't myself anymore. I kept having the same nightmare over and over again for not saving your dad, my marriage with Taylor was falling apart, I wasn't spending time with Tyler and Megan. Taylor had tried to convince me so many times that it wasn't my fault and if I would have went back in that building, I would have been dead as well." Eric said, though Sky still had no words to say, while wiping his tears falling from his eyes, he then walked straight out of Eric's office. Lucas, Trip, and Katie saw Sky walking out and didn't say nothing to them.
"I take that he didn't take it well." Katie said.
"Afraid not." Eric responded.
"Well, he had to know." Trip said.
"Even if we can no longer hide secrets." Lucas said.
"I hate say your right. I just hope he can forgive me." Eric said.
