Eric and Taylor were putting breakfast at the table, then heard Tyler, Megan, and, Andrea coming downstairs.
"Morning. Mom. Dad." Megan said.
"Morning. Go ahead and start serving." Taylor said.
"Morning dad. Sleepwell?" Tyler said.
"Yeah. I did." Eric responded.
"So dad. I've been meaning to talk to you about something, since I didn't yesterday." Tyler said, when there was a knock at the door.
"I better go get that." Eric said, as he got up to answer the door and opened to see it was Sky with RIC waiting by the door.
"Hey." Sky said.
"Hey." Eric responded.
"You got a minute?" Sky asked.
"Sure. Come in." Eric answered, as he entered in and closed the door. "I thought you were upset with me or might have hate me for keeping this from you."
"I'm sorry I walked off like that, I just didn't know how to react or what to say and think. I was just in shocked to know how my dad died." Sky said.
"I understand, it wasn't easy, I just wanted to get it off my chest and now just leave it behind me." Eric said.
"Eric. I don't hate you, I'm not that kind of person who would think bad about you." Sky said.
"I thought you would, since I have kept this a secret for long enough from you." Eric said.
"I'm just glad I knew so many things about him, it was like I had already know him." Sky said, when Taylor, Tyler, Megan, and Andrea came seeing it was Sky here.
"Hey Sky. Hey RIC." Andrea said, as RIC went to greet them.
"Everything okay, Sky?" Taylor asked.
"Yeah. Just having a small chat here with Eric." Sky answered.
"Don't worry, everything is alright." Eric said.
"You want to join us for breakfast?" Taylor asked.
"Sure why not. I guess." Sky answered, and joined everyone at the table.
"You know, maybe I should tell you how I found out your dad was a power ranger, even how I found out about your mom and her friends being from the future." Eric said.
"Sounds like a story I haven't heard yet. I got some time." Sky said.
"This should sound interesting." Andrea said.
"Go ahead and tell us." Megan said.
"Might as well hear this." Tyler said.
"This was back in the year 2001, when I was starting to work with the Silver Guardians, we were stopping Nadira, Ransik's daughter, and cyclobots from a robbery, that was when I saw your dad, along with your mom and their friends. I was surprised to see him ever since I dropped out of that prepschool I attended with your dad, I was under scholarship and dirt poor." Eric explained.
"I remember what my mom told me, you weren't a nice person and had your differences with my dad, not to mention you were a jerk." Sky said and they were a bit surprised on what he just said.
"Can't say I can admit it, but I was, I just wanted to prove I was someone who can be better. If it wasn't for your dad who made me realize what it actually means to be a power ranger and to work as a team." Eric said.
"So I've been told, now I understand some things about you." Sky said.
"That's what I said too." Tyler said.
"But, you have since changed your ways." Megan said.
"Anyway, back to the story, there was another mutant attack, the Silver Guardians and I were called, when we arrived seeing your parents and their friends trying to stop it, we then intervined though with no luck our weapons had no effect on it and took us down easily. The former Commander tried to stop it, until your dad got in the way as the mutant blasted at him, he was injured a bit and his helmet visor broke, in which his identity revealed to your grandfather and me, I was surprised to know he was a power ranger." Eric said.
"How did my grandfather react in knowing of my dad being a power ranger?" Sky asked.
"I didn't hear their talk, though I did see his reaction and he was upset with him for hiding this from him, your father then ran off to go help the rest of the rangers in which they stopped the mutant." Eric explained.
"So, how did you become a power ranger?" Sky asked.
"And how did you find out my mom and her friends were from the future?" Andrea asked.
"I'm getting there. Just bare with me here." Eric said, when the door started knocking.
"I wonder who that could be?" Taylor said, as she got up from the table and opened the door to see it was Trip, Lucas, and Katie.
"Hi Taylor. We just wanted to stop by and visit." Katie said.
"We're even on our way to the clock tower to see if Sky is alright." Trip said.
"We saw he didn't take it well, after Eric talked with him about...well you know." Lucas said.
"I know what you mean, and actually Sky is here, why don't you all come in." Taylor said, as they all walked inside.
"Taylor! Who's here?" Eric asked, then saw who were here, as RIC happily greeted them.
"Hey everyone and morning. We just wanted to visit." Katie said.
"Why am I not surprised here." Eric said.
"Hey. What brings you guys here?" Sky asked.
"We were heading to the clock tower to go see if you were okay." Lucas said.
"But since your here, looks like your better." Trip said.
"It's alright, I'm not mad at Eric." Sky said.
"That's no surprise, there were at times we were mad at Eric." Katie said.
"You don't say. I'd like to hear." Sky said.
"So do we. Our dad was about to tell us how he became a power ranger." Megan said.
"And how he found out you were all from the future." Andrea said.
"This is going to be a long one here." Tyler said.
"I was getting to there." Eric said.
"Mind if we tell him this?" Katie asked.
"Sure. Why not." Eric answered.
"Well, were all ears here." Taylor said.
"There were some researchers who discovered a metal box, in which contained the Quantom Ranger powers." Trip explaned.
"Ransik, somehow found out about it and sent a mutant and cyclobots to get the box, that's when we arrived to try and get it." Katie explained.
"The Silver Guardians and I were there before you guys came and we tried to stop the mutant, but then I overheard the mutan about the power it contains." Eric said.
"So when your dad got the box, the mutant shot him and ended up dropping it, he was baddly hurt and didn't see where the box landed, then took him back to the clock tower." Lucas explained.
"In which the box landed, where I was at, so I took it with me, I tried to see if I could activate it, though it was a bit powerful than I thought." Eric said.
"With your dad injured, we went to go find the box, before it ended up in the wrong hands." Katie said.
"When we found the location where the box was at, we ran into the mutant and cyclobots, we defeated the cyclobots, but the mutant was too tough for us to defeat." Trip said.
"When I saw the cyclobots trying to get the control box I easily defeated them and when I finally could activate it, I was amaze and surprised to be the Quantom Ranger." Eric said.
"When we thought we were done for as the mutant was about to finish us, though out of nowhere a blast was fired at the mutant, we thought it was your dad, but it wasn't him, it was Eric." Lucas said.
"To our surprise, Eric defeated the cyclobots and the mutant." Katie said.
"Even if he was a power ranger, he was more of a working alone with no help from anybody, not even us." Trip said.
"Who knew you were so selfish back then, dad." Tyler said, when Megan pinched his arm. "Oww! What did you do that for?"
"Tyler. Why can't you keep your mouth shut." Megan said.
"I guess your not the only who says things that pop out of your head, Trip." Lucas said.
"Very funny, Lucas." Trip said.
"Anyway, can you get to the part on how you knew my mom and her friends are from the future." Sky said.
"Yeah. This is really getting interesting here." Andrea said.
"Well, where were we. Oh yeah. When we went to confront Eric about the Quantum morpher and didn't want to give it up." Katie said.
"We tried to tell him that he didn't understand what kind of power it had, but surprisingly he did know and needed to find the Q-Rex." Lucas said.
"Q-Rex?!" Sky, Andrea, Megan, and Tyler said confused.
"It can transform into a Megazord also and under my control." Eric explained.
"Where was the Q-Rex?" Sky asked.
"I can explain, when Time Force first experimented with time traveling, they sent the Q-Rex megazord and the control box back in time, but something went wrong, the control box and the Q-Rex were seperated and were lost somewhere in time." Trip explained.
"In which we found the box in the present and meant that the Q-Rex megazord was in the past." Katie said.
"By past, you mean..." Andrea was about to ask.
"In the prehistoric time, in the land of dinosaurs." Eric answered. Sky, Andrea, Megan, and Tyler were more surprised.
"If it was way in the past, how were you able to go back in time?" Sky asked.
"There was a mutant that opened up a time hole to travel back in the past, I went in and your dad followed me along, believe me it was the first time I ever time traveled, I was upset that he followed me, and told him I didn't need his help. When all of a sudden we were getting chased by a T-Rex, I'll admit I had never been scared like that before." Eric explained.
"Hard to believe someone brave like you dad, was actually scared." Tyler said.
"Well, can you blame him, he and Sky's dad almost got eaten by that T-Rex." Megan said.
"Anyway, did you both manage to find the Q-Rex and get out of prehistoric time?" Andrea asked.
"Yes we did, although the mutant had a bit of control of the Q-Rex, while opening the time hole and escaped on time as the volcano started to errupt." Eric answered.
"We were relieved they made it out alive, though the Q-Rex was on a rampage in the city, it was being controlled by the mutant, we used our megazords to try and stop it, but it was to strong for us." Katie said.
"The Q-Rex only got damaged a bit and needed time to restore its power, so we needed the morpher back." Trip said.
"Your dad went to look for Eric and try to get the morpher from him, while we were trying to find a way to stop the Q-Rex, when your grandfather showed up and we thought he was here to see your dad, but he wasn't he wanted to hire us to join the Silver Guardians and make Eric our new leader." Lucas said, with Sky, Andrea, Tyler, and Megan still more surprised, then looked at Eric.
"Obviously you guys didn't accept. Right?" Sky said.
"Of course we didn't, we turn down his offer. We like our team just the way it is." Katie said.
"Okay. What a relief there. No offense Eric." Sky said.
"None taken, it was your grandfather's idea anyway. Eric said.
"Did you at least stop the Q-Rex from destroying the city?" Megan asked.
"We tried everything we could to stop the Q-Rex, our megazords weren't strong enough, though we were surprised Eric saved us from being destroyed by the Q-Rex." Trip answered.
"Luckily I aimed at the device that was controlling the Q-Rex and I was finally able to control it and defeat another mutant." Eric said.
"So was there a reason why you were so anxious to prove you were worth being a power ranger?" Sky asked.
"Let's just say, I wanted to prove to your grandfather that I could be the new leader of the Silver Guardians after your father turn down him offering to be the new leader." Eric explained.
"You didn't need to prove yourself in a selfish kind of way on being a power ranger and I'll admit I was a bit selfish myself too, I was sort of like you, Eric." Taylor said.
"You both really got to tell us how you both met." Megan said.
"We even want to know how you became a power ranger too, mom." Tyler said.
"I still haven't heard how you knew my mom and her friends were from the future." Andrea said.
"Your right, but first let Taylor and I pick up the table here and everyone go to the living room." Eric said, as they all went their way to the living room, while Eric and Taylor were busy cleaning up.
