The final bell of the day rang, signaling the start of P.E. Shampoo gathered her things with an air of confidence, her usual enthusiasm for physical activity taking over as she headed toward the gym. She wasn't going to let Akane's return interfere with her routine, not for a second. Today, like every other day, was hers to conquer.
As she walked through the halls, she overheard whispers about Akane's return, but Shampoo didn't let them distract her. She wasn't about to waste energy on something so petty. She had a class to focus on, a game to win, and, as usual, a chance to show everyone who was in charge.
The gymnasium doors loomed ahead, and Shampoo pushed them open with a decisive swing. The gym was filled with the usual mix of students stretching, chatting, and getting ready for the lesson ahead. The coach was going over the day's activities, but Shampoo barely paid attention. She was already in her element, stretching and loosening up her muscles, preparing herself for whatever challenge lay ahead.
"Shampoo, you're early as usual," Yuka called out, grinning as she approached. "Are you ready to show everyone how it's done today?"
"Of course," Shampoo said, her voice laced with her usual confidence. "Shampoo always ready."
Yuka laughed, shaking her head. "You really never stop, do you?"
Shampoo smiled, her eyes scanning the room. It was then that she noticed Akane walking toward the far side of the gym, already exchanging glances with some of the other students. There was a definite tension in the air as people noticed Akane, but Shampoo wasn't interested in drama. She had her own goals.
"Akane still think she can compete?" Shampoo muttered under her breath, her eyes narrowing slightly as she adjusted her stance.
Yuka followed her gaze, nodding. "Yeah, she's probably looking for a rematch."
Shampoo smirked. "Shampoo doesn't need to fight her. I'll show her who's boss just by being better at everything."
The coach blew the whistle, signaling the start of the class, and the students gathered on the court, preparing for the day's activity. Today, it was a series of relay races. Shampoo grinned. Speed. Her specialty.
She lined up with the rest of her classmates, her competitive edge already sharp. Akane was a few spaces down, and Shampoo couldn't help but feel a flicker of amusement. Akane probably expected some sort of showdown, but Shampoo didn't need to indulge her. She was going to win, and that was all that mattered.
As the race started, Shampoo shot off with the force of a sprinter, her legs moving with a grace and speed that left the others in the dust. She felt the rush of adrenaline, her body perfectly attuned to the rhythm of the race. Akane's presence faded into the background as Shampoo focused on her own performance, her muscles working in perfect harmony.
Shampoo flew past the other runners, each step propelling her closer to victory. The finish line was in sight, and she could already hear the cheers of the students as she crossed it with ease. She turned to give them a confident smirk, slowing down to a walk.
"Looks like Shampoo won again," she said with a teasing tone, her confidence radiating. She didn't even need to look back to know that Akane was far behind.
Akane, still jogging in the distance, looked irritated but kept her focus. Shampoo didn't care. She'd proven her point, and it wasn't even close.
After the race, Shampoo returned to the side of the gym where Yuka and Sayuri were waiting. She leaned against the wall, crossing her arms with a satisfied grin.
"Shampoo didn't even break a sweat," she said, her voice full of pride.
Yuka and Sayuri exchanged amused looks. "You really are something, Shampoo," Yuka said with a laugh.
"Just another day in the life of Shampoo," she replied, brushing her hair back with one hand, her smile never faltering. "Akane can keep playing her games. Shampoo has better things to do."
As the rest of the class continued, Shampoo's focus was unwavering. She didn't care what Akane did or how many people were talking about her. This was Shampoo's world, and anyone who wanted to play in it had to keep up.
Akane could try all she wanted, but Shampoo wasn't bothered. She was too busy being better.
