Silver: It spreads its beautiful wings wide to frighten its enemies. It can fly at Mach 2 speed.
Stadium 1: Capable of flying incredibly quickly. In full flight, by the time its flapping is heard, it is long gone.
Stadium 2: Its well-developed chest muscles make it strong enough to whip up a gusty windstorm with just a few flaps.

The first appearance of the pidgeot is in a video taken by its trainer inside a pokecenter, posted to the account PearlAmongSwinub.

Pidgeot loves giving speeches! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚#funnybird #cutebird #bird #pokemon #pidgeot #flyinglife #fyp #foryou #funnyvideo #trainer #trained #funnyteam #cute #happy

A pidgeot is perched on the back of a pokecenter couch, chirping away. Several other pokemon can be seen on the edge of the frame.

Over the image, text reads: Featherduster does this every time there's other pokemon around lmao! Sometimes I think I should've called it Filibuster instead πŸ˜‚

Several more videos of ordinary trainer things follow before a video is posted at a campfire.

Franklin D. Featherduster Holds Forth πŸ”

This time, the video is supposedly subtitled. As the pidgeot chirps and gestures by a campfire, text slowly scrolls across the screen: So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is...fear itself β€” nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance. In every dark hour of our national life a leadership of frankness and of vigor has met with that understanding and support of the people themselves which is essential to victory. And I am convinced that you will again give that support to leadership in these critical days.

It's hard to make out through the scrolling text and campfire's inconsistent light, but the pidgeot does appear to be looking at the couple other pokemon by the fire. A keen eye would see there's more pokemon, apparently wild, circling the edge of the campfire.

Another account posts a video of them playing the video on a television and recording that with their phone. A vaporeon lies on the carpet in front of the television, apparently rapt. It's titled lmao look at this nerd 😝.

There's a couple similar videos: a zigzagoon, a chatot, an aipom. Not all of the pokemon are enthralled. The aipom turns away from the video, then begins to flee as they're chased by their trainer holding the phone out. In another video, The cat-bird rivalry transcends everything 😾 πŸ— lmao, a stocky Alolan meowth has its ears flattened back as it hisses and swats out to send the phone flying.

The next video from the original account, 🚫No Phones in the Theater!🚫, breaks the format slightly. Once again, the pidgeot is chirping in a pokecenter to numerous other pokemon. A half second after the video begins, a growlithe looks toward the person filming and barks. All the pokemon turn, including the pidgeot. The pidgeot starts chirping again, facing the person.

The person filming chuckles and mutters, "Featherduster look so silly from the front."

A zookeeper joins in, showing the videos to their new star attraction, a tyrunt: Will a tyrunt become a ty-rant?

In it, the tyrunt swings its head around at the sound of the video playing and then bounds over. Unlike most of the videos, the tyrunt begins to chitter, leading to the zookeeper to pull away and chime in, "There you have it, folks, some pokemon just always have to give their own opinions!" In the last frame of the video it looks as it the tyrunt is trying to grab for the tablet.

This sets off a bit of its own trend, with zookeepers showing the original videos and each other's reaction video to different pokemon. A more patient keeper records Amening Amaura, with the pokemon making low sounds with a similar repeating noise every few seconds.

Several videos of this later, someone posts Can Pope Filibuster Featherduster can ordain pokemon? Is my Fizzlybutt 🐦 a pastor now? In it, a taillow is ranting at other pokemon in a park, wings gesturing upward.

Text scrolls across the screen: first Fizzlybutt wants to watch all the videos over and over, and now he's doing this when I'm just trying to eat lunch.

The ground beneath the taillow sizzles.

The last video from the original account is shot starting from the ground with the pidgeot's face filling the screen before pulling back, as if it was tapping at the screen. The video is recorded as a livestream. The pidgeot cocks its head, examining the screen for a bit, then grasps the phone between its talons. It shoots upward, showcasing the incredible speed pidgeot are capable of, as the phone keeps recording, the screen a third covered by one claw. If the pidgeot is still making noise it's impossible to make out over the wind whipping past, and then even that fades and distorts as the pidgeot's speed passes through the sound barrier.

The ground falls away as the pidgeot keeps, impossibly, rocketing higher. The curve of the earth is visible, and the sun beyond. Frost forms on the camera screen. The ascent slows and seems to pause, hovering in midair for an instant.

The pidgeot croaks out something.

The phone falls from the talons. The ground approaches. The livestream ends.
