"Well folks things seem to be heating up in the underground thanks to our young rising star Whitey and his powerful Espeon" Said the referee/announcer as the cameras focused on a boy inside of a cage he was wearing a face mask covering his eyes and nose only revealing his mouth only and was wearing a black suit and dress shoes and leather gloves, the only thing that stood out was his hair which was white as snow and a large sized Marowak stood beside him.
"Espeon use Shadow Ball followed by Light Screen, Bite if the situation calls for it" called out the boy who was called Whitey as he faced off against his opponents which was a grown man wearing a similar outfit and the same face mask and all ordered his Gengar "Use Shadow Ball followed by Shadow Punch" both attacks clashed canceling each other as the dual ghost type came rushing forward towards preventing Espeon from using Light Screen so instead grabbed the ghost fists as her teeth glowed with distortion and began thrashing the ghost before throwing it back to its trainers side of the field before firing off another Shadow Ball nailing in the face as it landed hard.
"Amazing job girl, now end this with Psybeam" Whitey's loyal Psychic complied and fired the beam before Gengar could recover knocking it out, the Marowak rumbled its congratulations to its comrade as she nodded gratefully.
"Well you've seen it folks, Whitey remains undefeated in the underground, will he continue to rise or will someone knock him off his high Rapidash only time will tell" finished the announcer as the crowed cheered for Whitey as he exited the cage alongside his Marowak and Espeon.
Locker Room 15 Minutes Later-
Whitey remained sitting on a bench alongside his Marowak past the time of closing waiting for someone as he removed the mask revealing his emerald green eyes "Nice win Fuyuki.. oh sorry I mean Dante" a boy with black hair and sapphire blue eyes as he rubbed the back of his head.
"It's fine Jason it's just us in here, just make sure to refer to me as as Fuyuki alone in my house or yours, and thanks my opponent wasn't really that good" said Fuyuki/Dante as he let out his starter Espeon or by her preferred name Sol who upon seeing Jason walked to and butted her head against his which earned her a nice scratch under her chin making Fuyuki smile Marowak growled in irritation at the lack of attention so his trainer complied with a chin scratch where the Marowak for a lack of the better term purred "There you go Dojin" the boy gave his starter his much deserved attention as he looked to Jason and Sol.
"Yeah same here I think our families have gotten to strong for this level of competition" said Jason as he stopped giving Sol her hourly scratches tax as he went to his locker and changed into his own clothes being a leather vest with hood a gray Henley shirt and black jeans and boots.
Fuyuki followed his example and got changed into casual cloths being a red jacket with a black hood and stripes going down the sleeves and a black shirt and jeans and black shoes and a silver heart locket heart locket.
"Alright let's get going, Sol be a dear and please Teleport us home" asked Fuyuki in a gentle tone as Sol's eyes glowed from the use of telepathy "Of course Brother-White and Brother-Dojin" Sol teleported the group to Fuyuki's home.
Though the term house was bit of a strong term, it resembled a family estate more than anything "Home sweet home" said Fuyuki as Jason just rolled his eyes and yawned "Mind if I crash here tonight Fuyuki, I'll sneak into my house before my grandma wakes up to get me ready for school" asked Jason who nodded in acceptance.
The boys, Dojin and Sol proceeded up stairs to the bedrooms, Jason went to his usual guest room while Fuyuki and Sol entered his room that had a Jolteon and Vaporeon and three young Eevee's all cuddled up on a bed meant for a large Pokémon, Jolteon opened his eyes to see both his daughter and her trainer Fuyuki and his starter the Marowak, Sol went to greet her father as Jolteon rubbed his head against hers as she joined her respective family to sleep, Fuyuki finished changing into his pajamas he smiled at the sight of his second Pokemon and her family as he went to sleep as Dojin slept towards the foot of the bed.
The next day he was woken up by his mothers old mentor and primary caretaker and godfather Hudson Black the Flying type master, his gray hair was done neatly and is well trimmed and wearing a black dress shirt and pants and dress shoes and a brown dress shirt.
"You have a hour before school starts I know you prefer being early, I've also made breakfast for the two of us" Fuyuki got out of bed and followed the former elite four.
After a nice breakfast Hudson put a newspaper in front of Fuyuki who quickly skimmed through and stopped as a excited smile formed on his face "That time of the year already" Fuyuki looked to Hudson as he smirked confidently "The annual Lavender Town tournament, and one of the only tournaments that allow academy students who don't yet have a license to travel or own more than three Pokemon, what makes this years so special" the elder smirked "Simple all three of my apprentice's are participating in this tourney" Fuyuki blinked hearing this he knew Jason was one of them but he wasn't aware of the other two "If it's not to much trouble could I get their names" Hudson smiled.
"Well the third one is someone I began training last year her name is Audrey Dankworth she's originally from Galar she participated in last years Indigo conference and placed fifth place despite only being in her second year of training, the other is a Sinnoian young man named Cristopher he's won multiple tournaments and placed second in the Silver conference a few years back, he's my first student actually for about ten years now" upon hearing this Dante felt excited at the chance at battling two powerful trainers especially since he's heard about Christopher before from his own master "Do they have any quirks about them" Hudson seem to consider the question before answering "Audrey has a problem with being overconfident leaving her to being short sighted to the bigger picture and is easily provoked, hmmmmm... Christopher, he's not flawless no one is but he doesn't have many exploitable traits like ego or being quick to anger like Audrey I'd say his only issue is that he hates fighting generalist like you and your friends" Fuyuki nodded along as he took in the information "Can we have a quick spar Mr. Black" the aged man happily obliged the request as the two went out back as Dojin with the Eevee family and Sol came out following them.
The two trainers got on either side of the battlefield as Hudson's former league teleport Alakazam or by his preferred name Sammy teleported in and erected a barrier as the two let out their own Pokemon "Since I've promised you his child when you graduate I'll show you his strength, come on out Eclipse" Hudson threw out a Ultra Ball and its occupant was a large sized Corviknight standing taller than his own trainer who stands at 5'09 at a whopping 10'05, seeing the magnificent flyer Fuyuki took the time to admire the raven being the first time meeting the raven in battle, he also knew none of his family stood a chance in distortion against any of his godfathers own family even though he knew that Mr. Black and Eclipse would only humor them "Come on out Violet " what came out was a beautiful Crobat she was average sized but had a presence that demanded respect just like Dojin and Sol.
The raven took a moment to asses Violet and seem to like what he saw as he gave her a nod of respect which she returned "Since Eclipse is far beyond what you can handle he'll go easy on you two, you have the first move" Fuyuki nodded and let out a high pitched whistle as his dual typed flyer took to the air as white mist exited the mighty bats throat being Haze which concealed her presence which seem to gain approval of his godfather.
"Good you have the since to not attack directly but what will you do Dante " Hudson asked with a raised brow, Fuyuki just stared at his godfather "Violet use Disorientation followed by Strike, use evasion incase he retaliates" Fuyuki ordered through code which both Eclipse and his trainer liked as from the mist came and ear splitting sound (Screech) followed by four blades of solid air (Air Slash) bombarded the iron raven which covered itself a dust cloud from the impact, Suddenly a powerful burst of wind (Seemed to be a variation of Hurricane) blew away the dust and Haze away Violet barely managed to dodge the attack with a quick burst of Agility but was gripped in Eclipse's talons quicker than Violet could react leaving Fuyuki shocked.
The raven released the Crobat gently as they landed, Eclipse and Violet stared at each other till Violet bowed in submission to her better (for now) though was still disappointed with her performance though was comforted by her trainer, Dojin and Sol along with her sisters and brother and her mother Vaporeon trying to cheer the bat up Jolteon just nodded at her, Fuyuki smiled as he knelt down to pet her as she clicked at them as Mr. Black, Eclipse and Sammy approach him as his godfather gave Fuyuki a head pat despite hearing Dojin and Jolteon's warning growls "You may have a long way to go but at least your on the path to get their" Fuyuki nodded thankfully as he stood up "So what did you think of our strategy" he asked hoping it impressed his godfather "Honesty impressive for a beginner" Fuyuki seemed happy with the praise as Eclipse nodded along in agreement "I'm trying to get her use to hit and run tactics since she'll likely never overpower a Dragonite or Eclipse" Hudson and his raven agreed with his assessment.
Hudson alongside Eclipse came to admire Violet up close as he knelt down to scratch her ears "You've improved leaps and bounds since you've evolved from that small and bold Zubat, give it time and you'll be a menace on the battlefield Violet" Hudson rubbed her head affectionately and Eclipse raised his right wind and patted her head with with a delicate tap "So have you prepared the other two Mr. Black" his caretaker nodded "Well if I'm giving my godson a child of one of my family it's only fair I give one to my apprentice Jason and that dear Serenity as thanks for being a good friend to you" Fuyuki nodded thankfully he went back inside with his team and the Eevee family to get ready for school "So are you impressed with your competition Christopher" as a young man with brown hair and eyes wearing a brown denim jacket with a tan hood a white button up shirt underneath it and black jeans and boots walked out a tool shed.
"He isn't terrible and definitely be a problem for Audrey and he'd at least be entertaining to battle for me" a enormous Luxray stepped out with him the only other thing eye catching about it is the amount of scars lining it's body the electric lion glared at Eclipse and the iron raven returned the look "That's a astute analysis and high praise from you" the brown haired young man rolled his eyes "I prefer stating facts rather than being delusional unlike Audrey who underestimates most trainers she meets" despite wanting to defend his other student he nodded along in agreement.
Fuyuki was dressed in his school uniform which was gray with a purple tie.
"I can't wait for the tournament to start maybe You'll three will get your chance to shine spoke Fuyuki as Violet rested on his shoulder as he was followed by his starter and his second teammate, Serenity beat us and Rebecca last year then again that was before I met him" a image of a young man with black hair with a white streak and icy blue eyes and a black face mask came to mind "Hey Dante" 'Dante' turned to see his first ever friend and member of the sad moniker of orphan trio the name made by some of their less desirable classmates Dante smiled as she made her way down a set of stairs quickly and once at the bottom bumped her shoulder against his as they began walking to school "Hi, so did hear the tournament's starting next week" Fuyuki nodded as he toke in her appearance she was wearing the girl version of the school uniform of course but her most eye catching traits were her mossy green hair that was set into a bun and yellow eyes.
"Well who isn't excited Serenity it's the only other time of year that trainers come in droves to Lavender town beside league season other than catching a ghost for a better chance against Sabrina" Serenity nodded in agreement this was one of Lavender's only attractions but both knew why towns like theirs and even city's started to have these annual tourney's, it was the Indigo League's over way of finding potential recruits since the last war the league amount of able bodies considerably shrunk.
As the duo walked as Serenity released her own Pokemon Serenity's starter was a Umbreon named Kuro and upon seeing Sol butted his head against hers as she rubbed her head against his, they started walking and matched their trainers pace as her Noctowl (Athena) flew along as Monferno (Wukong) followed their pace though looked ready for a scrap "Aww look at the love birds" gushed Serenity as she placed her hand on her cheek making Fuyuki roll his eyes "Well it was only a matter of time I guess they were always close even as Eevee's, so who are you gonna use opening round-" as Fuyuki was talking with Serenity they were about to pass a corner he accidentally bumped into a fellow student one that only recently came to their school about a week ago, he has blood red eyes and silver hair.
"I'm sorry I swear that wasn't on purpose um it's Samson right" The new student simply stared at him knelt down and picked up his book Fuyuki noticed the book was about soil fertility and fertilizer "Oh you must have a grass type is it your starter or one of your other ones" Samson blinked seemingly unused to having conversations with people "All my Pokemon are grass type" as he said this as a Sceptile made it's presence known when it crossed the corner both Fuyuki and Serenity felt taken aback by it's cold glare despite being outnumbered, their family matched the look and Samson noticed this and looked back to his own "Stop it" the gecko complied as it merely pointed its gaze elsewhere "I'll be on my way now let's go Apollo" Samson and the now named Apollo walked off, Fuyuki took a chance "Wait Samson since we're almost there would you like to join us" Samson simply shook his head no as he and his Sceptile kept walking.
Fuyuki just looked to Serenity who gave him a sympathetic look and clapped him on the shoulder "He'll come around one of these days" Fuyuki smiled gratefully "Let's get going I'm not getting detention" the duo and their starters continued their way to their school.
After entering the school grounds the duo entered the school building "I'm excited for battle class today I've been wanting to put that purple haired Unovan bastard in his place" said Serenity as she clenched her fist in irritation making her starter and her team cringe and alongside Fuyuki to snicker as they walked to home room to start their school day.
