For those of you who have read my Awakening of the Sapphire Dragon story, then you already know how this concept came about. For those of you who are reading my stories for the first time, welcome. After some… hostile responses to the first chapter of Awakening of the Sapphire Dragon, I thought about a different story in which the main OC Luke wasn't reborn in Rias's peerage. The original concept at first was for Luke to end up miserable and alone, but I eventually scrapped that when I came up with the OCs for Melody and her peerage. Some things will carry over from my main Sapphire Dragon story, but there will be differences at several points.
And I know what some of you are thinking, but Issei will be with most of his canon harem in this story. I don't want to reveal too much, but Rias, Akeno, Koneko, and Asia will be with Issei in this story and only one or two women in his canon harem will be with the main OC this time.
With regards to canon characters, only one is going to appear in this chapter as I am mainly focused on introducing the central OCs. In fact, the first few chapters of this story are going to be centered on introducing the main OC characters.
The picture I chose for this story is a commission of Melody by Shou, who did a magnificent job! Both the image and the NSFW version are available on my Discord server with the link provided below to get an invite. Do not join this server unless you are 18 or older.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!
The purple skies of the Underworld are usually visible to all who see them. However, there is one spot where it is mostly red. A castle surrounded by volcanoes, lava flowing from the tops and forming several rivers, one of which behaved as the castle's moat. Within the said castle, a violet magic circle suddenly materialized by the main entrance. Appearing with that magic circle was a woman who appeared to be in her twenties with long, braided violet hair and crystal blue eyes wearing a navy-blue business suit with a white dress shirt underneath the blazer. Standing beside her was a boy roughly seven years of age with slightly-longer-than-short brown hair and green eyes and hiding behind her leg was a smaller boy with short brown hair and blue eyes that easily drew attention.
"Welcome home, Lady Allegra."
Standing in front of the violet-haired woman and the boys was a beautiful young maid with red eyes and back-length silver hair tied into a long braid on each side adorned with small blue bows at the ends, while the rest of her hair was let down and ending in twin braids.
The woman called 'Allegra' smiled at the silver-haired maid. "Hello, Grayfia. I take it you finished afternoon's chores along with the rest of the servants?"
"Indeed, I have. How was your trip to London?" Grayfia asked.
Allegra's features softened before she looked down at the two boys with a gentle smile. "Honestly... while it went well, I did receive some unfortunate news from my contracted Magician."
When Grayfia examined the boys, the young one tried to hide behind the violette's leg to avoid the maid's gaze.
"These poor boys lost their parents last week and my Magician friend already has her hands full with her own daughter." Allegra gently petted the younger boy's head.
The little boy whined softly as Allegra petted him.
The slightly older boy looked towards Grayfia and bowed lightly. "Hello, Grayfia. My name is Seth Percival Sigmund, and the little boy your mistress is petting is my younger brother, Luke Ambrosius Sigmund."
Such a polite young man. Grayfia raised a brow before bowing back to Seth.
"My little brother's pretty shy..." Seth looked down at the floor. "And he's not taking our parents' deaths very well..."
"You and your little brother have my condolences for your loss." Grayfia turned her gaze to Luke with glazed eyes only to notice something odd about the younger boy's eyes.
Within Luke's eyes appeared to be blue galaxies.
I've never seen eyes like this... The maid thought.
Seth caught Grayfia staring at Luke's eyes, making the slightly older brother smirk. "Pretty cool, huh? Nobody else on Earth has eyes like my little brother's. They're rather beautiful, aren't they?"
"They are indeed beautiful, but I take it your brother is not completely human?" Grayfia inquired.
"Yeah, you're right. Luke is half-human and half-extraterrestrial, or half-alien in human terms." Seth explained. "I hope you won't look at my little brother differently because of this."
"An extraterrestrial? So, they do exist..." Grayfia mumbled before looking into Luke's eyes once again before crouching down and giving a soft smile at the nervous-looking Luke. "Hello there, little one. I am known as Grayfia Lucifuge. I am the Head Maid of both the Morag and Chernobog Households. It's nice to meet you and your elder brother."
Luke seemed to loosen his grip on Allegra's pants and slowly came out from behind her. He looked at Grayfia as his galaxies swirled in curiosity.
"'Chernobog'?" Luke tilted his head. "Mrs. Allegra said she was a Morag. I don't remember hearing anything about her being a Chernobog."
"Chernobog was Lady Allegra's family name until she married Lord Sterling of the House of Morag." Grayfia explained.
"Grayfia, I must ask a favor of you." Allegra got her maid's attention.
"What is that you need of me, my lady?" Grayfia asked.
Allegra smiled. "I would appreciate it if you gave Seth and Luke a tour of the Morag estate. I need to go and inform my husband about our two new guests."
"Of course, Lady Allegra. I would be more than happy to show Seth and Luke around your home." Grayfia held her hand out to Luke. "Come now, Luke. I'll take care of you until Lady Allegra returns."
Luke looked at Grayfia's hand before he raised his arms upward.
"I think Luke wants you to carry him." Seth chuckled.
Grafyia smiled before effortlessly picking up Luke. "Very well then."
Luke wrapped his arms around her neck before Grayfia headed off with Seth following behind the maid.
Allegra waved at Seth and Luke as they left with Grayfia, only for her smile to slowly morph into a frown as she left to find her husband. If you reject these boys, Sterling, then I'm through with you.
"Where are we heading first, Miss Grayfia?" Seth asked.
"You may call me 'Grayfia', Seth." She told him. "And I believe I shall show you the dining room first as you and your little brother will most likely have dinner after the whole tour is done."
They soon arrived in a massive and extravagant dining hall with a table that was as long as an American football field.
"Whoa!" Seth gasped in awe. "A lot of people must live here!"
Grayfia felt a bead of sweat run down her head. "Actually, only Lady Allegra, Lord Sterling, and Lady Melody eat here. However, when Lord Sterling hosts galas, every seat is filled."
Seth scratched the back of his head. "Only when he hosts galas? Sheesh."
"If I had the choice, I'd just invite a bunch of friends for lunch and dinner." Luke said. "Also, who is Melody?"
"Lady Melody is the daughter of Lord Sterling and Lady Allegra. Would you two like to meet her?" Grayfia asked. I certainly hope they say 'yes'. Lady Melody doesn't have many friends.
"How old is she?" Seth queried.
"How old are you two?" Grayfia questioned back.
"I'm 5 years old." Luke answered.
"And I'm 7." Seth responded.
"The young lady is the same age as you, Luke." Grayfia petted Luke's head.
"I want to meet her!" Luke chirped.
"Very well then. The young mistress should be finished with her studies by now."
"Huh, so she does early schoolwork, too, huh? Hear that, Luke? You got a study buddy." Seth chuckled.
"I wasn't aware Luke was in school already." Grayfia said.
"Nah, Luke's homeschooled." Seth clarified. "He's smarter than the average fourth grader."
Fourth grader?! But the little one is only 5 years old! Grayfia exclaimed to herself. That certainly explains why Luke is so articulate for someone his age.
"If you're curious, Grayfia, due to Luke's alien side, he's much smarter and learns things faster than the average human." Seth explained.
"Well, I hope you can help the young mistress with her studies." Grayfia joked before leading the boys out of the dining room.
As they walked down the halls of the household, Luke couldn't help but ask something.
"Grayfia, did you always serve Mrs. Allegra?"
Grayfia smiled. "Yes, but I didn't follow her orders originally. I actually once only followed the orders of Lady Allegra's mother as I am her Queen Piece."
"'Queen Piece'? Are you talking about chess?" Seth asked.
Luke's galaxies gleamed in curiosity.
"High Class Devils use a reincarnation system to bolster the population. We call this the 'Evil Piece' system. And it is indeed based on the human game Chess." Grayfia answered.
"Can anyone turn into a Devil?" Luke asked, making Grayfia smile at his curiosity.
"The only ones I can imagine not being able to become Devils are Angels." Grayfia replied.
"No." Luke chimed in. "I think it's possible for Angels to become Devils... but I'm assuming hybrids of something holy and unholy is highly frowned upon?"
Grayfia nodded sadly. "Yes, I'm afraid so."
The older Sigmund brother growled. "There are two things I hate in this world. Racism and discrimination. Mom and Dad taught me and Luke about those words over a year ago. It's truly horrible."
"My Dad was afraid that I would be discriminated by other Kaelians for being half human, which is why he never contacted any of his old crewmates to see if they were still alive." Luke said solemnly.
"Is 'Kaelian' the name of your species, Luke?" Grayfia inquired.
"Yup." Luke nodded. "Kaelians are divine beings born on a place called Kaelia Khahrahk, which is supposedly another universe. At least that's what Dad said. Although, that sort of confirms that the Multiverse Theory isn't a theory anymore, right?"
Grayfia blinked at Luke for a couple of seconds before turning to Seth. "Are you sure he's five years old?"
"That's how smart Kaelians are!" Seth grinned.
Soon enough, Grayfia and Seth came to a stop in front of a large door.
"And we have arrived. Allow me to let Lady Melody know we're here." Grayfia knocked on the door before her. "Lady Melody, I've come to check on you. Have you finished your studies?"
The moment Grayfia heard an 'eep' from inside the room, her expression became deadpan.
"U-ummm, yes, Grayfia! I finished all of my work earlier!" A cute, girly voice said.
Grayfia groaned as she rubbed her temples. I'll take that reaction as a 'no, it was boring'.
Inside the room was a little girl with long, flowing violet hair and crystal blue eyes.
Luke blushed upon seeing this young girl. She looks like a younger version of Mrs. Allegra.
The girl smiled nervously at Grayfia until she paused upon noticing the maid carrying Luke and Seth standing by the whitette's side.
"Who are these boys, Grayfia?" The girl tilted her head curiously.
I suppose I'll ignore the fact that the young mistress avoided her studies for now. Grayfia thought. "Lady Melody, the boy I'm currently holding is Luke Ambrosius Sigmund. And the boy by my side is Seth Percival Sigmund. They will be living with us starting today."
Melody Morag was suddenly starstruck. "'Ambrosius'?! 'Percival'?! Like from Arthurian legend?!"
Luke and Seth stared at Melody for a moment.
"Well, yeah. Our Mom gave us our middles names from the Heroes of Camelot, even though she's a descendant of the Germanic Hero, Sigurd." Seth explained.
Melody then noticed Luke's eyes and was amazed by them, zipping up to him and startling the poor boy.
Is she part-Kaelian? Luke joked in his head.
"Your eyes are so pretty!" Melody cheered excitedly.
Luke blinked for a moment before he smiled, his galaxies shining a bit as he did so. "Really? Thank you."
"Heh, you're the third person to compliment Luke on his eyes." Seth said.
"Hey, Luke, do you and your brother want to play House?" Melody asked.
Luke and Seth looked up at Grayfia for permission, who merely smiled at the two boys.
"Yes, you two can play House with the young mistress." Grayfia said as she gently placed Luke back onto his feet.
"How do you play 'House'?" Luke asked.
Melody looked at Luke oddly. "You don't know how to play House?"
"Nope. I normally just play Hide and Seek or Tag with Seth, Luci and Iri." Luke replied.
"House is a game where everyone plays a member of a family like a mommy, a daddy or kids." Melody explained. "Unlike Tag or Hide and Seek, there are no winners or losers."
"Okay, so who's going to be who?" Luke inquired.
"I'll be the mommy, you'll be the daddy, and Seth will be our child!" Melody chirped.
Seth's jaw dropped while Luke snorted before he started laughing, making the older Sigmund brother pout.
"Why do I have to be the child…?" Seth mumbled.
"Because I want Luke to be the daddy." Melody answered.
Grayfia looked away from the children as her shoulders trembled, desperately trying to keep herself composed. Must. Not. Laugh!
Seth looked toward the snickering Luke with a grin. "Well, Luke, looks like we found your future wife."
Luke stopped snickering as he gained a blush on his cheeks. "S-Seth! Don't say such things!"
"Come on! You know Mom and Dad wanted us to find love!" Seth teased.
"But we're kids!" Luke argued. "I-it's too early for us to have g-g-girlfriends!"
Melody and Grayfia looked back and forth as the two brothers argued with each other. The young lady soon began to slowly crawl over to the flustered Luke until she hugged him from behind, making the Kaelian boy squeak.
"What's wrong, Luke? Why are you so flustered about finding someone to marry?" Melody asked.
"B-b-because I'm too young!" Luke stuttered as his face became completely pink.
"That's ridiculous." Grayfia walked over to Luke, crouched down, and gently ran her fingers through his hair. "Luke, while you may be too young to marry, you're never too young to find love."
Luke's face went from pink to red from Grayfia's words. "I-if you say s-so, Grayfia."
Soon enough, Luke calmed himself before he started playing House with Melody and Seth, while Grayfia watched with amusement gracing her features.
After an hour of play, Grayfia continued giving Luke and Seth a tour of the Morag estate, with Melody walking alongside the head maid.
"I can't wait for Grayfia to show you the living room! It's so big and spacious!" Melody expressed.
"... Melody, do you get lonely?" Luke asked.
Melody paused for a moment. "… Sometimes, yes. I don't always get to have play dates with Ria, So-So, and Seek because they're normally busy with family affairs. And... well, my half-brother doesn't like me very much."
"Seriously? Me and Luke are half-siblings and we get along perfectly fine." Seth said.
"Only when you're not teasing me." Luke dryly retorted before returning his focus to Melody. "Well, at least you have some friends to hang out with. I didn't have any friends before I met Iri."
"Who's Iri?" Melody queried.
"Iri is Luke's friend, Irina Shidou." Seth clarified. "We met her and her parents over a year ago. And besides Iri, Mrs. Shidou was also rather attached to Luke."
"Noooooo! Don't remind me of Auntie Yume's teasing!" Luke whined with a blush.
I'm glad that you're becoming friends with these boys, Lady Melody. Grayfia smiled at the children.
Suddenly, a loud yell echoed throughout the household.
"NO! I WILL NOT ALLOW IT!" A stern male's voice roared.
Luke immediately vanished before reappearing behind Grayfia and shaking like a leaf. "Wh-wh-what w-was tha-that?"
"That must have been Lord Sterling." Grayfia deduced.
"But why did Daddy sound so angry?" Melody wondered aloud.
"Whatever the reason is, my gut is telling me it isn't good." Seth said with a stone-cold face.
The expression Seth was making sent slight chills down Grayfia's spine.
"... Didn't Mrs. Allegra say that she was going to talk to her husband?" Luke recalled.
Grayfia turned deathly pale when Luke said this. "There must've been a disagreement."
Melody began to worry. "But why would Daddy not want Luke and Seth to stay? They're so nice!"
Luke suddenly vanished as a small gust of wind blew past everyone.
Seth gulped audibly. Luke doesn't usually use his abilities... could he have sensed some negativity from Sterling and Allegra?
Seth and Melody were suddenly picked up by Grayfia before she dashed after Luke.
Luke finally stopped running until he came across a large pair of double doors that were slightly open, allowing him to take a peek at what was on the other side.
"And why the hell not, Sterling?! Both boys would be great new friends for our daughter! I'm not just going to turn away children who lost their parents simply because you don't want them here!"
Luke heard Allegra snap, making him very anxious. Mrs. Allegra sounds so angry.
The boy shifted his head and he saw Allegra arguing with a handsome and tall middle aged man with medium length blonde hair, gray eyes, and wearing a red dress shirt, black pants, and shoes.
"Then send them to the Chernobog House like you did with those homeless brats you found! I refuse to allow humans in my household!" The blonde man known as Sterling snapped back.
Allegra growled like that of a raging lion at the man and Luke felt his blood start to boil upon hearing of Sterling's bigotry.
That freaking jerk! Luke growled to himself. How dare he insult my brother and mother like that just because they're human?! If he wasn't Mrs. Allegra's husband, I would've kicked his sorry butt!
"Sterling, as much as Melody enjoys the company of the Gremory, Sitri, and Agares children, she needs friends from other walks of life that are easily accessible!" Allegra argued.
"I said 'no' already, Allegra! So drop it!" Sterling Morag shouted.
"Just listen to how childish you sound, you selfish bigot!" Allegra yelled back angrily. "Turning away two boys in need of a home! I made a promise to my Magician that I would take care of her nephews and keep them safe, and I shall continue to do so even if I must ignore your stupid rules!"
Suddenly, Luke witnessed something that made his galaxies vanish. A loud sound echoed throughout the entire room and the hallway as Sterling smacked Allegra across the face. Right as Grayfia, Seth and Melody caught up to Luke, a voice in the older Sigmund brother's head mentally spoke to him.
Boy, be prepared to stop your brat of a brother. His aura just spiked. A gruff and mature male voice said to Seth.
Seth's face paled as he stared at his younger brother. "... Luke... what did you see?"
Luke never answered Seth as he immediately kicked the doors off their hinges, causing them to fall to the floor. Sterling and Allegra immediately turned around to see the boy and his blackened sclera, but that's not what unnerved the Lady of Morag.
… That is not an expression a child should have on their cute little face. Allegra thought as she saw an absolutely murderous scowl on Luke's face.
Sterling became intimidated by Luke for a moment before he regained his footing and glared at the boy. "You barbarian! Look what you've done to my-!"
"Shut up." Luke spat, making everyone stiffen at just how venomous the young boy sounded. "A man should never treat a woman like that!"
Seth began to sweat as he felt Luke's aura begin to rise with every passing second. Crap! At this rate, the entire Underworld is going to feel his aura!
Then don't just stand there like an idiot! Do something before the brat attracts the Four Great Satans! The gruff voice roared.
"You are nothing more than a human commoner!" Sterling stomped over to Luke and pointed his finger at him. "So, I suggest you remain silent in my presence!"
Luke immediately grabbed Sterling's wrist tightly, making the older man turn pale.
"Luke! Stop!" Seth yelled, but his plea fell on deaf ears.
"Who said I was only human?" Luke then snapped Sterling's wrist like a twig.
"AGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!" Sterling screamed in agony as he dropped to his knees and cradled his arm.
Luke scoffed before he backhanded Sterling just as hard as he smacked Allegra. "If you ever hit Mrs. Allegra like that again, you'll have much more than a broken wrist to worry about."
Luke suddenly vanished once again, but Seth could almost hear the shock hidden in his brother's voice.
Luke probably headed back to Melody's room to contemplate what he did. He always hated violence. Seth thought.
Sterling stood back up with absolute fury written all over his face. "I never want to see that abomination again! I don't care where you send it to! Just get it out of my sight!"
Seth's pupils became slits when Sterling called his brother an 'abomination' and referred to him as an 'it'. He dares call my brother such a thing?!
Seth was about to approach Sterling until Allegra beat the young boy to the punch by smacking the blonde bigot across the face, hard. The boy suddenly felt Grayfia cover his ears while she already had large ear plugs in her own. Melody also stuffed large ear plugs into her ears before Allegra grabbed Sterling by his ear and let out an incredibly loud, banshee-like scream that shook the entire castle. Anything within the estate that was made of glass had shattered, from the dining glasses in the kitchen to every single window. Sterling roared in pain before he fell to the ground again, caring more about nursing his ear than his broken wrist.
"YOU HORRIBLE EXCUSE OF A LORD!" Allegra yelled at the downed and partially deaf Sterling. "HOW DARE YOU CALL POOR LUKE AN ABOMINATION?! IT WASN'T HIS FAULT THAT HE WAS BORN DIFFERENT! I CAN'T BELIEVE I EVER FELL FOR SUCH A RACIST MAN LIKE YOURSELF! AS OF TODAY, WE ARE THROUGH!"
Allegra ran out of the room so she could search for Luke. Grayfia let go of Seth's ears, but the young man was still recovering from Allegra's ungodly scream.
"What... what the heck was that?!" Seth yelled as his ears were ringing somewhat.
"Mom's side of the family has this thing called the Power of Sound. It lets us manipulate vibrations in a variety of ways, such as that supersonic scream just now." Melody explained.
"... Lady Melody, go and pack your things." Grayfia told the girl. "It seems this will be our last day at the Morag estate."
"Sure thing, Grayfia." Melody nodded. "I wanted to see if Luke was okay, anyways."
Melody ran off towards her room while Grayfia helped Seth nurse his ears.
"I'm so sorry, Seth." Grayfia apologized with a light bow. "I should've given you some ear plugs."
"It's okay, Grayfia! I think I just need to sit and relax for a bit!" Seth said, making Grayfia giggle when she realized he was still yelling.
ARRRRGH! MY EARS ARE BUNRING! The gruff voice wailed.
In Melody's room, Luke was hiding in the closet, surrounded by the girl's stuffed toys, barely noticing the heat coming in after the window broke from Allegra's scream.
I-I... I can't believe I just did that! Bu-but I was so furious! I... I don't want to be like him! I don't want to be like that monster! Luke thought as he began to cry, his blue galaxies now slightly faded and bouncing around, showing that he was both sad and scared.
After a few minutes, Allegra entered the bedroom and knew Luke was in the closet from hearing his crying.
"... Luke?"
Luke stiffened in fear, his breathing becoming erratic.
"Oh my Satan... Luke, sweetie. It's okay, I'm not mad. Just calm down and slow down your breathing." Allegra said gently, slowly making her way towards the closet. He sounded incredibly angry earlier, so why is he so scared now?
"D-don't come near me!" Luke nearly shouted in a shaky voice.
Allegra felt her heart break when she heard how scared Luke was, but she wouldn't stop her progression towards the closet. He's so frightened. Did he think his actions would make me scared of him? "Luke, I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to see if you're okay. I'm worried about you."
Luke peaked through the slits in the closet and saw the genuine concern on Allegra's face.
"Wh-why? Why aren't you afraid of me? Why aren't you running away from me?! I'm a monster! Didn't you see what I did to your husband?!" Luke cried, his tears only running down his cheeks faster.
"Luke, you are not a monster! A monster wouldn't be afraid of becoming one!" Allegra responded honestly.
Before Luke could say anything else, Allegra swiftly opened the closet and pulled the young boy into a big hug. Luke was left stunned by Allegra's embrace and he could hear her trying to hold back her own tears.
"You had every right to do what you did. You defended my honor, Luke. Both my honor as a woman and as a member of the Chernobog Family. Yes, you physically harmed Sterling, but that awful man deserved what you did to him." Allegra spoke softly, trying her hardest not to cry but was slowly failing. "I won't allow you or Seth to live on your own. Starting today, you'll be living with me at the Chernobog estate. I'm sure my mother will adore you boys."
Luke listened to what Allegra said before he hugged the Chernobog woman back and began crying into her bosom. Allegra carefully petted the back of Luke's head and gave him a peck.
"It's okay, Luke. I'll never allow you to become a monster. And neither will Melody, Grayfia, or your big brother Seth. You'll always be our sweet, smart, and innocent little Luke." Allegra said warmly as tears began running down her cheeks. I will never let anything happen to this little angel! And if anyone makes him cry, I'll rupture their eardrums!
After Luke and Allegra calmed themselves down, they packed everything that belonged to her, Melody, and Grayfia before all of them and Seth took a teleportation circle to leave the Morag estate. The next thing Luke and Seth knew, they were now in the lobby of what appeared to be a large mansion.
Grayfia smiled before she looked down at Luke and Seth. "Prepare yourselves, boys. You'll be meeting the servants of the Chernobog Household."
Suddenly, the whole mansion began to rumble.
"Wh-whoa!" Seth yelped.
Luke felt a bead of sweat run down his head. "What's going on? Is it an earthquake?!"
"Nope, those are probably all of Mommy and Grandma's servants coming to greet us." Melody giggled.
Just how many servants does Allegra/Ms. Allegra have?! Luke and Seth asked themselves at the same time with bulging eyes.
Coming out of every hallway within their sight were platoons of maids and butlers, leaving Luke and Seth floored at their sheer numbers. The boys looked up at Allegra, who only covered her now reddened face with her hands.
"Satan dammit, Mother. I told you having too many servants was going to bite me in the butt one day." Allegra whined in embarrassment.
"Welcome home, Lady Allegra, Lady Melody." All of the maids and butlers spoke in unison.
Grayfia nodded with pride in her eyes. "Good, they haven't lost their touch."
Allegra pouted at her Head Maid. "You planned this, didn't you?"
"I haven't the foggiest idea on what you're talking about, Lady Allegra." Grayfia feigned innocence before ordering the servants. "Please take Lady Allegra's and the Lady Melody's luggage to their rooms."
The servants bowed, while some of the maids noticed Luke and Seth looking at them all with curious and surprised eyes, which they couldn't help but giggle at.
Grayfia rolled her eyes when she noticed the look on Luke and Seth's faces. "Close your mouths, boys. You'll catch flies otherwise. After I take my luggage to my room, I will be in charge of dinner tonight."
Seth saw Luke's eye gleam and knew exactly what he was thinking. "No, Luke. You're going to let Grayfia cook for us."
"But I always helped cook with Mom." Luke whined.
"Don't be so glum, Luke." Melody placed her hand on the boy's shoulder and smiled.
Grayfia thought about Luke's words for a moment. "… Well, if Luke really wants to, I wouldn't mind him helping me cook dinner for tonight."
"Yay!" Luke cheered happily before jumping into Grayfia's arms. "Let's go!"
"Alright, but you're helping me put my luggage away." Grayfia said in a false stern expression as she walked away with the younger Sigmund brother.
"Yes ma'am!" Luke saluted.
Grayfia looked toward the other servants. "Please prepare rooms for the children. They will be staying here as of tonight."
All of the servants nodded, however most of them couldn't help but admire Luke's beautiful yet mysterious-looking eyes.
Once Luke helped Grayfia unpack her things, she took him to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
"So, Luke, how is that you know how to cook at such a young age? Did your parent teach you?" Grayfia asked.
"Mmhm. My Auntie Nimue also taught me how to cook. She said I might become a really great chef someday." Luke grinned.
"That's quite the praise." Grayfia said. "You know, women like men who can cook."
"That's right! Learning how to cook is actually one of the many things that will help accomplish my dreams." Luke said.
Grayfia grew curious. "Oh? And what is your dream, Luke?"
"To make women happy!"
"Well, I'm sure Lady Allegra and Lady Melody would love to hear that."
Soon enough, Luke arrived at the kitchen with Grayfia, who put on her stern 'Head Maid' persona upon laying her eyes on the chefs of the Chernobog Household who seemed to be playing poker.
Grayfia cleared her throat, making the chefs flinch. "I see you lot have been quite busy. And while you've been entertaining yourselves, Lady Allegra and Lady Melody have returned to the Chernobog estate. But you needn't worry, as I will be cooking dinner with my little assistant here."
Grayfia motioned to Luke, who merely tilted his head at the chefs. The female chefs seemed to be almost immediately taken with Luke, while the male chefs looked unsure. Grayfia noticed this before she placed Luke onto his feet.
"Wait here for a moment. I'm going to grab a recipe for you to look at." Grayfia told the boy before she turned to the chefs. "Make sure he doesn't leave your sight. He's faster than a Knight."
Grayfia walked deeper into the kitchen and left Luke alone with the chefs. The boy simply stood in place, twiddling his fingers as he waited for the Head Maid to return. After blinking only once, he suddenly found all of the chefs in front of him, making him jump back lightly in surprise.
I only blinked once! How or when did they move so fast?! Luke started blushing. "Y-yes?"
The female chefs giggled as one of them picked him up.
"I can see why Madam Grayfia likes you so much." The female chef who picked up Luke said in a lovely French accent. "You're very cute and have such beautiful eyes. I've never seen anything like them."
This pretty lady thinks I'm cute?! Luke exclaimed in his head.
One of the male chefs scratched the back of his head. "I mean, his eyes are definitely unique. But I'm sort of doubtful of Madam Grayfia trusting the little guy in the kitchen."
"Says the guy who was playing poker by the time Grayfia and I arrived." Luke replied dryly.
Everyone was surprised that Luke even knew what poker was.
"I'm much smarter than I look." Luke proclaimed.
Is he reading our minds?! The chefs asked themselves before Grayfia returned to the main room.
"Ah, I see you've all taken a liking to Luke." Grayfia spoke up before the female chef holding Luke put him down as the Head Maid handed the young boy a recipe. "Think you can fetch the ingredients for this recipe?"
"Can do!" Luke saluted and then vanished instantaneously.
The other chefs were in complete shock at Luke's speed.
"You weren't kidding about him being faster than a Knight." The female chef said to Grayfia.
"Indeed. Luke is also rather strong, considering he defended Lady Allegra's honor this afternoon by breaking Lord Morag's wrist." Grayfia stated. "I will tell you more about Luke later. Right now, we have meals to prepare. Chop, chop!"
Seth sat down at the large dining room table and waited for Allegra and Melody to put their stuff away in their rooms, new and old. As he waited, some maids walked into the dining room, making their way over to the young boy with kind smiles.
"We've put your stuff and your brother's items in your shared room, Young Master Seth." One of the maids informed.
Seth blushed with a smile. "A-ah, right, thank you very much." The heck is with me?! I'm never shy, so what makes these maids so different?
Maybe because this is your first time around actual maids? The voice within Seth guessed.
Hmmmm, maybe you're right. Seth responded before he noticed the three maids had gotten closer to him.
"Is there anything else we can help you with, Young Master Seth?" One of the maids asked.
"Just let us know and we'll get it done right away." Another maid said.
"I would just like some water for now, please." Seth requested.
"Of course, Young Master Seth. I shall go and fetch you a glass of water while the other maids watch over you." One of the maids bowed and left the room.
Shortly after the maid went to fetch Seth a glass of water, Allegra and Melody entered the dining room.
"Ah, I see you found the dining hall without any issues, Seth." Allegra said.
"Actually, we led Master Seth here before taking his and Master Luke's luggage to their shared room." One of the maids explained as they all bowed to Allegra.
"Oh? You seemed to get awfully used to the maids, Seth. Would you by chance want some maids for yourself when you're older so they can spoil you?" Allegra teased.
Seth's face turned red at the thought of having his own maids. "I-I well, u-ummm..."
"I'll take that as a 'yes'! You're just as cute as Luke!" Allegra spoke through her laughter.
"I wonder what Grayfia and Luke are making for dinner." Melody said.
Seth shrugged. "Knowing Luke, he probably wanted it to be a surprise and got Grayfia in on it."
One of the female chefs came out from the kitchen. "Lady Allegra, dinner will be ready in just a few minutes."
Allegra seemed very surprised. "Really? I thought you would've only just started."
"Normally you'd be right, Lady Allegra, but a special-eyed boy has been making our job rather easy tonight." The chef explained.
After waiting a few more minutes, the chefs came out with several dishes of food.
Seth couldn't stop himself from smirking. "Guess Auntie Nimue was right. Luke will definitely become a great chef in the future."
Coming out of the kitchen were Luke and Grayfia, the former taking a seat at the table.
"I hope you all enjoy the meal!" Luke said to everyone.
Plates of piping hot food were placed in front of Luke, Seth, Melody, and Allegra.
Allegra couldn't help but smile at Luke. "Did you cook some of this, sweetie?" Allegra asked.
"That would be telling, Ms. Allegra." Luke replied cheekily.
"Oh fine. I suppose I'll get my answers after we eat then." Allegra said.
Everyone took a bite of their food and Melody moaned in satisfaction.
"This is so good, Luke!" Melody exclaimed happily.
"Melody is right. Your cooking is amazing, sweetie. I can practically feel the steak melting in my mouth." Allegra took another bite, nearly moaning as she did so.
"Thank you. But I can't take all of the credit." Luke turned to Grayfia.
"You're being much too modest, Luke. You prepped most of the ingredients much faster than I did. Not to mention cooking and grilling everything to perfection. I merely helped when I was needed and provided the proper amount of spices for the completed dishes." Grayfia admitted.
The praise given by Grayfia was making Luke blush.
"Whoever you're going to marry is going to be extremely happy, Luke." Seth declared.
"Seth!" Luke exclaimed out of embarrassment.
Allegra chuckled at how easily flustered Seth made his younger brother. "I don't know about that, Seth. I get the feeling Luke may get more than one wife. With the speed he can cook at, and the fact he makes the food taste exquisite, women will come running from all corners of the world just to marry him."
"You know, I think Dad did mention that Kaelians engage in polyamory and polygamy." Seth responded to Allegra.
"Can we please talk about something else?!" Luke begged with steam rising from his head.
Seth snickered. "Sorry, Luke! I couldn't resist!"
"You boys probably lost most of your belongings. Just tell me your interests and I'll order replacements." Allegra said.
Seth burst out laughing when Luke's face turned deadly serious.
"I had a lot of anime and manga. I would probably have to go to the human world with you and buy them, as you more than likely don't know what they are or what my favorites are." Luke said to Allegra.
"Ah, I think Seek watches something called an 'anime'." Melody said.
Luke's galaxies began to sparkle in excitement. "I think I want to meet Seek now."
Melody giggled profusely. "Sure. I'll have to see when she's available first, though."
"And you, Seth? What do you like?" Allegra inquired.
Seth shrugged. "I mainly like reading novels and playing video games."
"Oh yeah." Luke perked up. "I should get myself some video games, too. Do you think they still have N64s, PlayStations and Sega Saturns in stock?"
"I think I saw couple of them still on the shelves." Seth recalled.
"Although, where are we going to get these systems? Certain languages of games can only be played on systems in certain regions." Luke pointed out.
"If you'd like, Luke, I could take you to places like Germany, America, and Canada if you want to get certain systems and games. It's really no trouble at all." Allegra said. Especially if it means getting to see you smile more often.
Allegra remembered the state she found Luke in just this afternoon, making her tighten her hold on her utensils.
I'll make sure he never has to cry over anything ever again. Allegra swore to herself.
"How many languages do you know?" Melody asked the boys. "Devils know how to speak all languages by nature."
"Luke can speak English and Japanese flawlessly." Seth bragged. "He's actually currently learning how to speak German and Russian. As for myself, I can only speak English and Japanese. Although, I've always wanted to learn French."
"Then we'll go shopping in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan." Allegra said.
When Luke and Seth heard Allegra mention going to the United Kingdom, they immediately had an idea.
"Could we visit Auntie Nimue, Big Sis Morgan, and Rubes while we're there?" Luke asked with the best puppy eyes he could give.
Grayfia immediately looked away so she would not become a victim of Luke's cuteness. Unfortunately, Allegra and the other maids weren't so lucky. Most of the maids nearly fainted with red blushes on their faces at Luke's absurdly cute expression and some other maids actually did faint, thankfully being caught by the butlers and the maids that didn't pass out. Allegra, however, dropped one of her utensils as she clenched her chest.
Dear Satan! That look could accidentally kill someone! Allegra thought.
"Can I come, too, Mom?" Melody asked excitedly.
Once Allegra composed herself, she smiled at her daughter. "Of course you can, dear. And yes, Luke, we'll give Nimue a visit and let her know how you and Seth have been."
Luke cheered happily before everyone resumed eating.
With their bellies filled, Grayfia carried Luke to his bedroom. The boy had fallen asleep after eating all of his food and the maids had insisted that they bring him to his room. However, Grayfia wasn't having any of it and said she would be the one to take Luke to his room. In the middle of her walk, the Head Maid couldn't help but notice the peaceful expression on the boy's face.
To think a boy who has been through so much still sleeps with such a calm expression on his face. Grayfia thought with softened eyes.
Grayfia soon stopped in front of a door to open it, leading to a decently spacious room with a large bed in it. As she closed the door behind her, she brought Luke over to his new bed and gently placed him onto the mattress before tucking him in.
"Do have pleasant dreams, Master Luke."
Grayfia pecked Luke on the forehead before she proceeded to leave the room, gently closing the door behind her once she was in the hallway.
"I should report to Allegra that Luke is now in bed." The maid muttered to herself before heading off to Allegra's bedroom.
Several hours later in the middle of the night, Luke shifted his body as he started to wake up.
"... nnnngh..." Luke soon opened his eyes to reveal his black sclera before his galaxies began to appear. "Huh... this isn't the dining room." He then noticed the bed he was in. "Oh, I must've fallen asleep after dinner and someone brought me to bed."
Luke looked around the room and realized how big the bed was, as well as the large CRT television at the other end of the room. He heard some light breathing coming from next to him and there lay Seth, who was sound asleep.
Alright, I better head back to sleep. Luke closed his eyes.
One hour later...
I can't sleep. Luke thought with an annoyed expression. But I can't stay up all night.
Luke tried to think about what he should do to try and get some sleep. At that moment, he suddenly had an idea.
I know! Maybe I can cuddle with Ms. Allegra!
Luke quietly snuck out of his bedroom and searched for Allegra's room. As he walked through the hallway, he used his eyes to detect Allegra's aura until he stopped in front of a room with a two-door entrance.
Allegra's aura is here, so this must be her bedroom.
Luke carefully opened the door and entered the room. Once he closed the door behind him, he noticed Allegra sleeping in her large king-sized bed. used his speed and quietly got on the right side of the bed, allowing him to see Allegra's sleeping face.
Wow, Ms. Allegra looks pretty when she sleeps. Luke thought before slipping under the covers.
Luke snuggled up to Allegra and he started to feel sleepy again. As he drifted off into slumberland, he unconsciously nestled his head against Allegra's bosom, which was very noticeable with the purple negligee she was currently wearing. Allegra unconsciously wrapped her arms around Luke in her sleep, wanting to keep herself warm as she slept.
A/N: That's the end of the first chapter! Time to go over some of the things regarding what I've introduced here.
First off, unlike in canon or Sapphire Dragon Main, Grayfia is not the Gremory Family's Head Maid. And much like Main, Grayfia isn't married to Sirzechs, but Sirzechs is married to another woman and has Millicas. The reason I have Grayfia with the Chernobog Family is to give her a more immediate and personal relationship with Luke.
Speaking of Luke, I revealed his Kaelian and Sigurd connections right from the beginning. However, unlike before, Seth's father is not Sterling. And speaking of Sterling, his relationship with Allegra is pretty strained in this timeline and he's a complete asshole this time.
The next chapter will introduce a few more OCs, all of whom my readers from Sapphire Dragon Main will recognize. Normally, I list the intended harems at the end of the chapter, but I think I will save that for when the romantic relationships actually develop. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed! Stay tuned for next time!
