Hey there, I wanted to get back into some Hunter x Hunter after the epic 10 chapters being released last year. Yeah, we might never see Gon again outside of Flashbacks and maybe random doodle from Togashi but hey his story is done, now lets return to this one since we will be getting near to the change from the original one.
At the NGL
Kite was already with the plans for today, having Gon and Killua on his team would speed things up since he could tell these kids could handle big task on hand.
"Ok, everyone today we will be going to the East Coast and catalog all the animals we can find. Gon and Killua if we see any sort of predator along the way I am letting you two to deal with it.''' Said Kite.
"Fine it might be good to have a easy target.'' Said Killua.
"We will do our best!'' Said Gon.
"Alright, lets go.'' Said Kite.
A few hours later
The team has been cataloging animals for the past 3 hours and having a good time doing it. Gon was loving every second while Killua was trying to enjoy it but clearly wanst the nature type.
"Gon have you finished catoling the animals from the north part?'' Asked Kite.
"Yes, Killua helped me with those little fishes.'' Said Gon.
"They weren't much of trouble. Dealt with bigger piranhas before.'' Said Killua.
The group was now looking for exclusive insects of the area, the rarest the better.
"Man, I never knew looking for bugs would be this tiresome.'' Said Killua.
"Oh come on Killua you will get used to. Don't move you have a rare grasshopper.'' Said Gon.
"What where?'' Asekd Killua.
"On your shirt.'' Said Gon.
"AAAAH! Take this off! Take this off!'' Scream Killua.
"Oh come Killua is just a bug! You dealt with killing people way before we meet and this is worse!?'' Asked Gon.
"Yes!'' Scream Killua.
While collecting the grasshopper for intel Kite team arrived to see what was going on.
"What happened? Did insect got into Zoldyck-senpai face?' Asked Mon.
"Yes! Don't think about it.'' Said Killua.
"Still amazed that someone from a cold blooded family doesn't like bugs.'' Said Dinner.
"We all have different backgrounds, but its ok because we are having fun.'' Said Gon.
"If Kite trust you guys than we will follow your leads.'' Said Banana.
"Yeah.'' Said the rest of the group.
Kite was seeing this from a safe distance, smiling with satisfaction, he felt that this mission would bring a lot of good results.
"Are you two highly skilled with nen?'' Asked Mon.
"Yes, we have been training for almost a year.'' Said Gon.
"Oh cool, we haven't been to train anything yet. Can you guys show us a little bit?'' Asked Stick.
The two young boys nodded it and soon show a bit of their nen, that small amount was enough to scare the amateur hunters.
"My body feels like frozen in place. I don't know if I can ever achieve this kind of power.'' Said Lin.
"Hey don't feel like that. Yes, it takes a lot but we managed to achieve a fair amount of power.'' Said Gon.
"Sure. It was a hell to get this strong but trust me you want a power like this if you want to become a hunter.'' Said Killua.
After that Gon and Killua told stories to the amateur hunters, they told them about the tutelage of Wing and Bisky, already very weird that they got a master and their student, but they show the difference of training with each one of them.
"Nice!'' Said Mon.
"Working with a legend must be feel really great. You learn from a very intellectual person.'' Said Spinner.
"More like an annoying grandma.'' Said Killua.
Somewhere Bisky sneezed and she felt she need it to beat up someone.
As they kept talking Kite appeared, he heard the conversation and wanted to be participate.
"So are you discussing nen? Can you both show me?'' Asked Kite.
"Yes!'' Said the duo.
Soon both Gon and Killua released their power again, unlike his students Kite wasn't scared at the least by that amount of power being unleashed. He felt some different notes.
First Gon had potential in his eyes, if he continued training he could see a monster being made that could surpass Ging one day, while Killua he could see not achieving the same as Gon but still be a very deadly power.
"Not bad you two have a long way to achieve your peak, however….'' Said Kite as he disappeared.
As Gon and Killua saw that in shock Kite appeared again and punched the two hard on the stomach.
"Argh!'' Scream the two falling down.
"but there is still a lot to be learned.'' Said Kite.
The amateur hunters were in shock that Kite was able to knock those two with ease, it shows their difference of powers and determination.
"Woah Kite! I knew you were strong but not this strong.'' Said Banana.
"Yeah, we together couldn't take these two in a million years, but took just a few seconds.'' Said Pondugo.
"Are you all going to become hunters? Being scared is not an option. You have to take your time and dedicate on how much you are willing to train your body.'' Said Kite.
"Alright.'' Said the group.
Kite then helped the two get back up and even dust off their clothes from the dirt and grass.
"I understand that you two have gone through a lot but in these lands there are danger in every corner. You need to be prepared for whatever might appear, from a big creature to the smallest ones the animal kingdom might be the most dangerous type of the entire Earth. How about I train you two in nen?'' Asked Kite.
The question surprised both Gon and Killua, they were fresh off from training with Biscuit but learning from someone who was taught by Ging himself might be a different story.
"Really?! You would do this Kite?'' Asked Gon.
"I will be ruthless.'' Said Kite.
"After Bisky you will feel like the pacifist, but yeah let's do it.'' Said Killua.
"Yeah, I can't wait!'' Said Gon.
"Fine, but let's start another day there is still a lot of research to do it. So, get back to work everyone.'' Said Kite.
The entire group went to catalog the insects and all the animals in the area, Kite just smile as he saw their progress and great communication with nature.
Kite had his eyes fixed on Gon, he could tell the same kid from all those years ago was gone and now this great man was in front of him. Sure, he passed through things that no kid should be forced to but he was sure that Gon was loving every single minute of it.
"Gon is truly a real hunter. He loves nature and is soon getting the jist of nen every day. There's no doubt that he is your son Ging.'' Thoguht Kite.
The long haired man went to make sure that everyone was doing everything properly and make sure that their next expedition is on its way.
Meanwhile the creature was still swimming, managing to sustain on fish and other creatures that come her way.
This is the end of this chapter, a nice time between Gon and Killua and the Amateur Hunter team. It was fun and yes, I know these guys are kind of useless since mid-Chimera Ant Arc they just disappeared, we only see them for the last time when they invite Gon to see the sun rising on the final shot of the 2011 Hunter x Hunter series.
