Hi there, I decided to make a follow-up chapter. This has been a fun time as I get back into the Chimera Ant Arc, its been truly a blast. This chapter is again a nice time pass of Kite and our favorite duo. Let's see what happens next.
At Kite camping site
Gon and Killu have been with Kite group for almost a month at this point and they had already adapt to their new environment and its people. Gon as usual was very friendly with everyone and was always having a good time, Killua was calm but he was kept more with Gon than with the others.
Their job was too hard compared to all the stuff that they did in Greed Island; it was a nice breath of fresh air compared to everything there.
"Ok, today we will continue with our investigation on the south part of the region.'' Said Kite to his team.
"Alright!'' Said everyone.
"Gon, Killua you two come with me.'' Said Kite.
"Sure.'' Said Gon as Killua just nodded it.
"Everyone keep me in touch with everything that has been cataloged or discovered it.'' Said Kite.
"Sure.'' Said the amateur hunters.
The two groups went into different parts of the region, making sure that they were having a good grasp of everything that was to bee seen.
With Gon, Kite and Killua.
The trio of hunters were checking out some weird bugs of the areas. Some of them had wings, some of them had shark faces and some of them just looked damn ugly.
"You see this race is known to emit an odor similar to a rotten fruit mixed with a fart.'' Said Kite explaining the bug.
"Woah! This sounds cool.'' Said Gon.
"Yes, just make sure to keep at least 10 meters away from him when he is at a certain pose.'' Said Kite as he shows the bug to the two.
"Ugh.'' Said Killua not liking it.
"Not a fan of bugs Killua?'' Asked Kite.
"No, everytime I saw one I just squashed or just told the staff to kill it off.'' Said Killua.
"Well I hope you ended up getting used to it. We aren't going to be in cozy houses for a while.'' Said Kite.
Killua just looked a bit annoyed as Gon tried to cheer him up.
"Don't worry, I am sure you will get used to nature life soon enough.'' Said Gon.
"I don't know I am up to a ton of challenges, but this is not something up my ally.'' Said Killua.
"Well if you want any help we can find you career type of being a hunter.'' Said Kite.
"Really?''' Asked Killau
"Yes, there are over 100 types of hunter. We can find your type.'' Said Kite
"Woah! Thanks a lot.'' Said Killua.
"you're welcome.'' Said Kite.
As they continue Gon tried to show off Killua more bugs which the young assassin only refused. Kite just smile as he saw those two having their tight bond all wrapped.
"They are truly blessed.'' Thought him.
A few days later
The job was interrupted by a really strong storm that was drenching everyone. The water was almost hitting their knees.
"Man this is a really shit show.'' Said Killua.
"Oh this is nothing. In whale island there was way worse storms. Did you never got into a big storm Killua?'' Asked Gon.
"Sorry, but I am used to be inside a comfy room.'' Said Killua.
"Its ok, I feel it will dry out soon.'' Said Gon.
The two then saw Kite with some canisters and filling it up.
"What are you doing?'' Asked Killua.
"Grabbing as much water as I can. This might be the last storm in weeks so we better have a good use of it.'' Said Kite.
"You are going to drink that?'' Asked Killua.
"Its safe Killua, I spent days surviving with rainwater. You can do it too.'' Said Gon.
The trio just grabbed as much water as they could and went to a nearby cave to dry it off and wait for the rain to pass.
A few days later
After a hard work day the stomach of everyone was grumbling.
"Ok, time to make dinner. Let's pull straws.'' Said Kite.
The entire group went to Kite with a bunch of silly straws in his hand as everyone went to take one off. At the end Killua was the one that got the winning tip.
"Killua is the one cooking tonight.' Said Kite.
"Crap!'' Said Killua annoyed.
"Woah, it's the first time we are gonna taste your food. How were you been able to avoid getting the winning tip?'' Asked Mon.
"Maybe I was lucky?'' Asked Killua with an innocent smile.
"He was cheating!'' Said Gon with a smile and Killua just sticks his tongue.
Kite then looked at Killua with a smile and had just one question.
"So, what are you planning to make for us tonight?" Asked him.
"I don't know never been through my mind.'' Said Killua.
Kite took Killua aside and showed him the ingredients and the utensils to use to prepare the food. There was meat, vegetables and various spices around him.
"Here are the ingredients. Make anything you like it.'' Said Kite.
"Oh ok.'' Said Killua.
The white haired boy saw the food and wondered what he should do and decided to just go with he flow.
A few hours later
"Ok guys, come get some.'' Said Killua.
Killua had made a stew which did not look like edible at the least. It had a very sour aroma and it had chunks of meat and vegetables floating like they had just died. They also felt this thing was toxic.
"Blergh! What is this?'' Asked Gon in horror
"Well, I am sorry I never cooked a day in my life, I had servants that did everything for me!'' Said Killua.
"How he is not a psychopath is a miracle.'' Thoguht Kite.
"We lost a good amount of supplies for you to make this thing, I guess we should at least try out.'' Said Spinner much to everyone horror.
The entire team went to try Killua stew and of course they all hated.
"Blergh!'' Said most of the amateur hunters tossing it out.
"Kite how could have done this to us!'' Said Banana in tears.
"It's not like I knew he didn't know what was poison or not.'' Said Kite injecting the medicine to his sduents.
"I am immune to poison!'' Said Killua.
"Its ok we all make mistakes.'' Said Gon.
The crew decided to just start over as they hunted some rabbits and picked up some vegetables nearby. It was a bit rushed but at least they didn't ended up starving at night.
It was a relatively good amount of time that Gon and Killua were spending with Kite and his team. Learning to survive in the wilderness, working on their nen and having a good time overhaul. Killua wonder when Gon was going to return into finding Ging again, but he decided to keep that for another time.
So yeah, just a simple chapter of Gon and Killua living with Kite and his underlings and going on different adventures. I had a good time making this chapter and I feel we are getting closer to that great bond that I was telling about it.
Next chapter is a exclusive Kite and Gon one. I hope you all enjoyed it and have a good time.
