Hi there, I know I know its been months, yikes. My bad everyone, I have been holding back with a lot of stuff and this series I couldn't put it on the list of updates. This is actually on one of my top priorities since I love the story, wants to get the ball rolling, has a big fandom the website and I want to be a really good One Piece x DxD story.
I wanted to say you all that I had ups and downs with this story. When I started I wanted to do more original arcs, more stuff and I even wanted to create a new peerage for a devil girl that would have been Rias childhood friend, that got scrapped and it's a shame because some of her peerage members would be for Issei Harem since Luffy will be getting most of his women.
Like, I think its fine the story I have now. Luffy has its fun moments in the DxD world, I am playing it safe and close to the anime, I am not making it as if there various world in this universe and I am still sticking with Rias and Luffy as the main pair. I know I am slow, but I am still fine with this like it took me a year to get into the main story because I wanted Luffy to meet up everyone and not just be thrown to the main plot as always in most series.
Look, I am not saying that I am going to delete this fic because I am not. I am just saying that I am fine making this story but I feel I need to share you all some behind the scenes idea. At least we have one big thing that I am sure a lot of you wanted, Luffy and Szierche meeting and I am stand with my head canon, in any universe these two would be bro and good friends, not the awkward shit he has with Issei like I don't buy his relationship with him not for one bit.
Anyway enjoy the chapter.
At the privste room.
Luffy was just staring at the now weird looking man with long red hair and armor. He didn't know who he was even after he introduced himself, but Luffy could tell one thing.
"You're someone important?'' Asked him.
"Yes, you could say that.'' Said Szierche.
Then Luffy looked a little more closed into the new guy clothes, he had some opinions to shore.
"Wow, you look so cool! But the shoulders are a bit goofy.'' Said Luffy laughing.
"I told you so.'' Said Grayfia to Szierche.
"Little notes aside I came here to talk with you Luffy-kun.'' Said Szierche.
"What is this about?' 'Asked Luffy.
Grayfia was still amazed that the Straw hat kid haven't put the strings together. She thought he would have figured out already who this person is.
"I feel he is not going to guess so soon.'' Said Grayfia.
"Well, it was good as it lasted. I feel we should give you a proper introduction Luffy-kun.'' Said Szierche.
"Uh?! What do you mean?'' Asked Luffy.
"Before being Szierche Lucifer I was Szierche Gremory of the house of Gremory, I am telling you this a second time. I am the older brother of the red princess of Destruction Rias.'' Said Szierche finally realving the main cause.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!You're Rias brother!'' Scream Luffy.
"Yes, thanks for taking care of my dear sister Luffy-kun.'' Said Szierche
Even with that reveal Luffy was still very chill, he was still like You're Rias brother, alright cool, and not like You're the Lucifer the underworld! I bow to you. That was a change of mood that was very welcoming to Szierche.
"Ok, so you wanted to talk or something?'' Asked Luffy as he keeps eating.
"Well you're certainly an lively guy.'' Said Szierche with a smile.
"What is this about?'' Asked Luffy.
"You know about the upcoming Rating Games between my little sister Peerage and Riser Phenex peerage correct?'' Asked Luffy.
"Yes, I've been helping Rias train everyone.'' Said Luffy.
"Why did you did decided to help them if you're not going to participate?'' Asked Grayfia.
"Because that's what I would've done anyway.'' Said Luffy.
"And why is that?'' Asked Szierche.
"Is there are reason to not help a friend?'' Asked Luffy.
The answer surprised both high class devils. They thought that Luffy had some goal in mind, like money, advantages, connections or some sort of greed for being so close to one of the top houses of the 72 Pillars, but he was doing mostly because he wanted to help.
"You are truly a kind individual Luffy-kun.'' Said Grayfia.
"Yes, now I see why Rias chose to be your friend.'' Said Szierche.
"Really! Ha! I always thought because she liked my presence.'' Said Luffy.
"and what do you think of Rias?'' Asked Szierche.
Luffy thought for a second and just gave his honest opinion about Rias Gremory.
"She is someone dear to me, I view her as if she was a Nakama on my crew.'' Said Luffy making both devils a bit confused but they keep going on with his talk.
"Well, what does that means?'' Asked Szierche.
"I wouldn't let anything bad ever happen to her. If someone makes her cry I would make them regret doing so.'' Said Luffy all serious.
The intensity in the air changed from lighthearted to dead serious. They could feel that he was being 100% serious when he was making that declaration and Luffy wasn't someone that would lie about a claim like that. He would really beat that crap of anyone that would make fun of his nakamas.
"Well I am amazed that hse hasn't made you into a member of her Peerage yet.'' Said Szierche.
"Yes, I like Rias but I would rather die and be nothing than become a serve to anyone. For me that's a fate worse than death.'' Said Luffy all serious.
Grayfia was impressed by that determination of Luffy. That boy really takes freedom as something that you could mess up with and he wouldn't like it to have his taken away from him.
"Well, if that's the case than this conversation is going to be a lot easier than we expected.'' Said Grayfia.
"What conversation?'' Asked Luffy.
"Luffy, tell me do you want to see Rias get married?'' Asked Szierche
The answer was right under Luffy tongue, he knew exactly what to say.
"Of course not! Rias is free to choose whoever she wants to marry!'' Said Luffy.
"You could've been more correct than ever.'' Said Grayfia.
"Yes, but I am afraid that things are a bit complicated as Riser Phenex is a talent King of his peerage with all his members being very well-trained devils themselves.'' Said Szierche.
"He is not strong!'' Said Luffy all simple as that.
"Are you sure?'' Asked Szierche.
"Yes! I pummel his face once; I could sense he wasn't that strong as they said it was. I face weird looking guys that give more trouble.'' Said Luffy.
"What did you said?'' Asked Szierche.
"I fought more weird looking guys that were more troubling than Fried Chicken.'' Said Luffy while eating.
The two high class devils all looked at each other a bit confused, not sure if what luffy statement was true or not.
"You fought stronger people than Riser Phenex?'' Asked Szierche.
"Yeah! Fried Chicken is nothing.' Said Luffy all simple.
"You also appears to have a weird ability that is nothing like a Sacred Gear, magic or something of inheritance.'' Said Grayfia.
"Oh my Haki? Yeah, I trained really hard for him to get this way, if it didn't get this and my devil fruit in good shape I would've been a goner for sure.'' Said Luffy.
The two were now getting more confused by each of Luffy sentence. Devil fruit? Haki? Training? What was this boy hiding?
"Can you tell us a little more about yourself? We can order more food.'' Said Szierche.
"Oh sure!'' Said Luffy all excited as Grayfia was now holding a tray full of meat.
A few minutes later
Luffy told Szierche and Grayfia a lot about his adventures. From the earliest in the East Blue to his recent takedown of the Yonko Kaidou. Some of these feats seemed to be a bit impossible or even illogical to happen, but Luffy made them sound real and if he was the one who really did all of that with his crew by his side. Regardless if these stories were true or not Szierche only had one thing to say:
"Remarkable Luffy-kun, you lived a very chaotic and interesting life.'' Said Szierche.
"Thanks! And I feel that my adventure isn't over yet! Until I found the One Piece and become King of the Pirates I will never stop! Mark my words.'' sAID Luffy with a smirk.
The two high class devils could sense now a little amount of power something from Luffy. Maybe it was his conquerors Haki or his overall presence had changed from the start of the conversation, but whatever caused both the strongest devil and strongest queen to feel a little shaken had to be praised.
"Lord Szierche do you think…'' Said Grayfia a bit worried about it but Szierche was all calm.
"Don't worry about it. I know he is no threat.'' Said Szierche.
"Hey weren't we talking about Rias marriage to fried chicken?'' Asked Luffy
"Well, I was getting there. For you see Rias has been arranged to this marriage since she was a little girl. A tradition for a Pure blood devil marry another one of their kind.'' Said Szierche.
"Traditions are dumbs sometimes.'' Said Luffy.
"I agree, not only that but I never felt that Riser was good enough to be the husband of my dear sister. He is arrogant, not that smart and kind of annoying if I am being honest.'' Said Szierche.
"But Zechs, cant you just show up and tell him to back off? I mean you are her older brother.'' Said Luffy with a sense and even giving Szierche a nickname.
"I am afraid is more complicated than that. If I do this than I am putting a bad name for my family name's. I would've done it with no problem, but it would cause me so many problems with my parents.'' Said Szierche.
"Man, I didn't know that Rias parents were that strict.'' Said Luffy annoyed.
"Yes, the Gremroy are one of the last full pure blood devil families still actives in the Underworld. We are not all that arrogant like other families but we still maintain some ideas that are still from previous generations that should've been discarded a long time ago.'' Said Szierche.
"I see, I don't know what to. I feel if I just show up and beat his ass I will get Rias into trouble, since I don't have my crew, we can't escape but I have faith that Rias will beat them and then go after her dream.'' Said Luffy.
"Well what would be her dream?'' Asked Szierche with a smile.
"Oh, I don't know but she knows very well mine.'' Said Luffy.
"What was again?'' Asked Szierche.
"It's to become King of the Pirates.''
The two devils just looked at each other a bit uneasy again. While Luffy was being honest and if his stories were true then he still had a long road or sea to achieve his dream.
"Well…I wish you the best.'' Said Szierches.
"Thanks Zechs.'' Said Luffy.
"Anyway, one of the reason that we also called you here is to see if you were worthy to fight by Rias side. After this conversation I am seeing that you are indeed someone worthy that the Gremory family would love to have as its allies, so that's why I am helping you.'' Said Szierche.
Soon Grayfia activated a magic circle on which came a box. Once in the table Szierche open it and soon revealed a gray chess piece.
"What is this?'' Asked Luffy
"It's a temporary piece.'' Said Szierche.
"What?'' Asked Luffy.
"To explain slightly, unlike the traditional evil pieces this will allow you to play on Rias team, but you won't be turning into devil. This was used to test possible cadets for Peerage a long time ago when this concept was still brand new. You will be able to play in a game of devils but you won't be one.'' Said Szierche.
The information sounded clear, but Luffy was still not sure.
"Can you explain that again?'' Asked Luffy.
"Eh?!'' Asked Grayfia confused but Szierche was still happy to reply.
"We put on you this piece, you won't be turned into a devil but you can fight.'' Said Szierche.
"Oh I see, it's a mysterious piece.'' Said Luffy.
"I guess so.'' Said Szierche.
"Why didn't you say so! I cnat wait to kick Fried Chicken ass! Let's go….'' Said Luffy ready to leave.
"Wait Luffy-kun, I haven't put it yet. I need a second to implemented this piece on you.'' Said Szierche.
"Oh ok.'' Said Luffy all calm.
Szierche then did the ritual to put the Temporary piece into Luffy chest, it was a Rook piece and since Rias didn't have a secondary rook that would work great for the Straw Hat boy. Once the ritual was done Szierche announced.
"The piece will only allow you to be with it for 24 hours. Once that it will return to me.'' Said Szierche.
"Ok, thanks Zerchs! I won't forget this!'' Scream Luffy excited as he runs off to see if he could find Rias or anyone from her Peerage.
While Luffy ran off all happy to be able to join the battle, meanwhile Szierche just laughed at his excitement while Grayfia was all surprised to see all that energy capsulated in one person.
"Isn't he a figure.'' Said Szierche with a smile.
"I agree but isn't he a bit…too much?'' Asked her with a raised eyebrow.
"Well Rias talked highly about her new pawn and he is apparently the most pervert boy she has ever seen. Its ok to be a bit out of the box.'' Said Szierche.
"Don't get me wrong Szierche, Luffy-kun is a good boy but isn't he a bit…excessive? I mean if he really is a pirate wouldn't this cause problem for your family? A high rank devil, future heir of a great family is in league with a pirate. This will cause the entire Underworld to go completely insane.'' Said Grayfia.
"I know…I am kind of interested in seeing where this goes.'' Said Szierche with a smile.
The queen saw her husband and just glared up at him.
"Arent you taking this seriously?'' Asked her.
"Of course I am. If Luffy-kun is indeed a pirate then he is one with a good hearth, just like us devil who showed more compassion than many followers of the church have been giving out for the last few decades.'' Said Szierche.
"Would you prefer him over Riser?'' Asked Grayfia.
"100%. This one meeting with Luffy was more pleasant than a decade of chatting with Riser.'' Said Szierche being honest as he hated Riser from day one.
"I agree. This one doesn't look at my breasts while he tries to talk with another person.'' Said Grayfia.
"Luffy-kun is already one of the most interesting players I have meet. Not only was he the cause of that weird energy that happened a few weeks ago, but he showed himself to be a very dedicated man who will never betray his ideals or his comrades.'' Said Szierche.
"Agreed in a sense he would've been a devil worthy of your peerage.'' Said Grayfia.
The red haired devil just smile at that. The idea of Luffy in his peerage would have been…interesting to say the least.
"Still…I wanted to do something before the big fight.'' Said Szierche.
"What is it?'' Asked Grayfia.
"Well…before the fight bring Luffy to me. I want to have a quick talk with him and also to keep him a secret before the fight starts, I want to see Rias surprise face.'' Said Szierche with a smile.
"Understood.'' Said Grayfia with a bow.
The gray haired queen left the room as she went looking for Luffy one more time, she knew she just had to follow the loudest steps and the screaming as she would find him in no time.
Later around the mansion
Luffy couldn't believe it that he was going to fight on the Rating Games, he was already pumped and ready to start punching it. He wanted to talk to the others but he couldn't find them.
"I guess they are sleeping. Maybe I should wake them up.'' Said Luffy.
"Luffy-kun, I am here to request your presence one more time.'' Said Grayfia appearing.
"What?!'' Asked Luffy confused.
"Szierche Lucifer request your presence. He wants to explain you a few more things before tomorrow fight, he also requested me to say that there will be more food if you come with me.'' Said Grayfia.
"Serious! Oh yeah! Show me the way!'' Scream Luffy excited.
"Ok.'' Said Grayfia guiding Luffy.
The grey haired queen guided Luffy to the room again where Szierche wanted to say a few more things. Why didn't say before? Well, those were personal and he didn't wanted his queen to be present.
Later
Once in the room Luffy was already eating a new plate of food. Szierche was amazed to see how much a boy of that age could eat.
"Wow this is even better than the last one.'' Said Luffy.
"You sure have an appetite.'' Said Szierche with a smile.
"Yeah! I love to eat! It's the best!'' Said Luffy.
"Luffy-kun I wanted to ask you a few questions alone because I want your honest answer.'' Said Szierche now being a little bit more cautious.
"What is it?'' Asked Luffy.
"Are you in love with my sister?'' Asked Szierche.
"Huh?'' Asked Luffy confused.
So yes, Luffy and Szierche meet and the Lucifer already bonded and liked Luffy. I feel they would have a nice bro out moment and I guess Luffy would be a good person for Szierche, he doesn't see him as the strongest devil or the lucifer or the rule of the underworld, he just see him as a guy and I think Szierche would like that.
I got the Temporary Piece idea from A Devil Diamond, the jojo part 4 x High School DxD story that was one of the original things that got me to see DxD as a whole. Wish that story continue but the author is too focus on original stuff.
Next chapter will just be Luffy and Szierche talking about love and if Luffy will ever get the idea of it. Also, Szierche wants Luffy to declare that he will be Rias husband, I know it's weird but this is how I wanted. Much better than just say the president Virginity is mine! which Issei just did off panel because sex is super forbidden in this Eccchi world.
