Now I wanted to do something with Eden Zero, I really like the style and the fact we go to different places. It feels like a Space One Piece, we go to different places meet new people, discover the past of the crew and we solve a bunch of mysteries. Mashima had done really a great job with this story.
In this story the One Piece characters are habitants of the Eden Zero universe, that means it has more space travel than usual pirate theme and Luffy has a Ether Gear power up like most of the cast instead of a devil fruit power. Now that you´re all caught up lets get this show on the road.
The universe is a vast open world, pretty much a huge sea filled with stars. People used to think it was impossible to get there, but that was a long time ago, now space travel was something very common around the worlds. People usually go to different worlds to explore, find a new life or try their lukcs.
In a little planet called Fusha a little boy name Luffy was staring at the stars with a man called Shanks, who was wearing a straw hat, and his friends who were called the Red-Haired band.
''Wow! Look at that star! It's so shinny.'' Said the kid named Luffy.
''that's a dragon Luffy.'' Said Shanks with a smile.
''A dragon! For real!' Scream Luffy excited.
''Ha! I knew you would fall for that! Dragons don't exist anymore.'' Said Shanks laughing.
''He He he!'' Laugh the whole crew.
The little boy wasn't fond of that, he didn't like to be feel like a joke.
''Shut up! I was excited and you tricked me Shanks! That's not cool!'' Said Luffy.
Shanks and his crew were part of a guild of adventurers, they explored the cosmo for treasures, hidden places and all kinds of mysteries. It was a very popular lifestyle; Shanks had a huge space ship were he piloted as the captain and made sure that his friends weren't in trouble.
''Listen Luffy, maybe there are dragons out there.' Said Shanks with a smirk.
''But you told me that dragons don't exist anymore.'' Said Luffy.
''You´ve to go out there and see if its true, there is a huge universe out there. Full of planets that none had set foot, maybe there are a few dragons out there and fight for your dreams, that's what makes the life of a space adventure worthy.'' Said Shanks.
''Uh? What do you mean?" Asked Luffy.
''You have to work hard, get stronger and make sure that your friends are ok. That's a lesson passed down by the late Gold Roger.'' Said Shanks.
''Gold Roger? Who´s that?" Asked Luffy;
''The greatest Space Adventure who ever lived, some even call him the King of the Universe, he was the person who set foot in all the planets from the dark system, found hidden treasures that could make you buy a galaxy and most special of all…he meet her in person.'' Said Shanks.
''Who did he meet?" Asked Luffy.
''Mother, the Goddess of the Cosmo. Possibly the greatest entity who ever existed out there. Some say she even bigger than a galaxy.'' Said Shanks.
Upon hearing that Luffy was beyond fascinated, he wanted to see how this ´´Mother´´ woman loks like and see with his own eyes.
''She sounds so cool.'' Said Luffy.
''Yeah, her stories are a few but they are all epic. So want to hear a little more about our latest adventure?'' Said Shanks.
''Yes Shanks!'' Scream Luffy excited.
The boy loved to hear the adventures of Shanks and his space crew, fighting bad guys, doing whatever they want and pretty much exploring the cosmos as they please.
Then a lot happen after that, Luffy managed to awaken his Ether Gear Power called ´´Rubber Nika´´ which allowed him to stretch his body like rubber, it was a goofy thing but it match Luffy personality. After that a bunch of bandits led by a guy named Higuma appeared wanting to rob Shanks and the entire town that Luffy lived, however Shanks proved to be superior in combat so he and his crew beat the whole bandit group and their leader. However, Higuma capture Luffy wanting to use him as a bargain, however a creature called ´´King of the Coast´´ lived around the forest and ended up beating Higuma, Luffy was saved by Shanks who spooked off the creature but lost his arm because of that.
After this whole incident Shanks had to depart from the Foosha planet, going back to explore the cosmos and see what he could find. Luffy wanted to join his crew but Shanks said now, however he left him a goodbye gift, his precious Straw Hat. Shanks told Luffy that once he had became a great space adventurer he could give it back to him, which Luffy promised and he hoped to get super strong to do it.
(AN: We all know Luffy story, so this isn't a big deal. We can move on from that.)
10 YEARS LATER
Luffy was now a 17-year-old boy, he had promised that this would be the perfect age to left Foosh and join the Adventure´s guild Shooting Starlight. He saved up some money from small jobs he did on his town, like helping on famr, killing pest and other things. Now that Luffy had perfected his ether Gear power he was ready to go out and explore the universe.
'So you´re really leaving?" Asked an older woman called Makino.
''Yes, I have everything that I need.'' Said Luffy making a backpack.
'What´s your plan now kid?" Asked the mayor of Luffy city, whoops lap.
''I´m going to join Shooting Starlight. That's the same place Shanks is a member of it, and Gold Roger was once a member.'' Said Luffy excited.
''Really, that sounds really interesting.'' Said Makino.
''Once I get enough money, I will buy my own ship and start looking for a crew.'' Said Luffy all excited.
''Wow Luffy, you sound really prepared. I will miss having you around.' Said Makina.
''don't worry, I will send letters and emails to you all.'' Said Luffy with a smile.
''Be careful around there and don't say the name of our planet, or our city. Please Luffy, don't drag trouble toward us.'' Said Whoopslap.
''Alright, but I need to go. The ship takes off in a few minutes and they are full of those B cube people.'' Said Luffy.
''Those B-cubes are all in the rage right now, even the kids from the city are using it all the time.'' Said Whoopslap.
''Mayor, it's not wrong to kids to get caught up with whats popular.'' Said Makino.
''I don't care for status at the moment or views, I want to explore the cosmos. That's what I want to do.'' Said Luffy.
''Well good luck Luffy, we will be rooting for you.'' Said Makino with a smile.
''Thanks guys.'' Said Luffy.
Later
The group helped Luffy get to the station, he would´ve been lost if it wasn't for them. They helped him get there and put him in the right ship, once there Luffy couldn't stop shaking of excitement, he was super happy to start his life as an adventurer.
''This is so cool!'' Thought Luffy leaving his planet.
Luffy saw from his ship his planet, it was so small compared to all the others of his galaxy. That was just the first step, now Luffy was about to see what the universe had to offer.
At the Adventure´s Guild Shooting Starlight.
''Wow!'' Said Luffy with his mouth open in excitement.
The whole place was gem place with people, there were human looking and alien form all around the place. Luffy has never seen so many races at one place, he was wondering if he could find a crew in there but he wanted to get some stuff done before find his crewmates.
''This is so cool!'' Said Luffy outload.
Everyone saw who shout that and most of them started to smirk at the kid with a straw hat, he looked like such a naïve fool.
''Look at that kid.''
''He looks so stupid, I bet he resigns in a week.''
''Yes, he will be eaten alive.''
Luffy just ignored those insults, he was just happy to be there in the Adventures Guild, the place that the King of the Universe Gold Roger was a member of it.
As he kept walking Luffy accidently bumped into some big guy, full of muscles and abs.
''Watch your step!'' Said the big guy.
''Sorry.'' Said Luffy all polite.
''What a scrub like you doing here?" Asked the big guy.
''Oh I´m going to register to become an adventurer!'' Said Luffy.
''You!'' Said the big guy as he and the entire guild laughed out loud.
''HA HA HA!''
The entire place was filled with laugh at Luffy expense, just a few people weren't laughing as Luffy didn't seem to get the joke.
''Wow, did someone laugh at a funny joke?" Asked him.
''No, you idiot we are laughing at you. Why are you here?" Asked the big guy.
''because I am going to try to find Mother.'' Said Luffy pointing at the hologram.
The entire place laugh up some more, it was like a standup routine.
''Ha Ha Ha ha!''
''Meet mother! You´re really a person with no idea.'' Said the big guy.
He then put a hand on Luffy shoulder, his hand alone was bigger than Luffy head, but the Straw Hat boy didn't seem to care.
''Listen here you pipsqueak, only one man ever saw this goddess and it was the King of the Universe himself Gold Roger, many tried but none came closer to see her in person. So a little guy like you going out and exploring the Cosmo is just like asking for a death certificate, get out of here before…'' Said the big guy trying to seem scary.
Before he could intimitade Luffy the Straw Hat boy grabbed his arm and did a move that tossed him to the ground.
''Wow!'' Scream him as hit the floor.
BAM
The entire guild looked at that in shock. How come a small kid beat up spme huge dude that looks like works out about 8 hours a day?
''I don't care what you think, I will follow my dream and I will explore the cosmos. I will find mother and see her with my own eyes.'' Said Luffy all serious.
The entire guild was now scared of him, he looked just like a goofball, but he was actually a really intimidating person.
''Hey! Where do I sign up?" Asked Luffy looking around.
''I can help.'' Said a shy voice.
The teen looked around to see a girl with brown hair, glasses and a little smile on her face.
''Hi, welcome to Shooting Starlight.'' Said the woman.
''I´m Monkey D. Luffy!''
''Oh nice to meet you, my name is Clarisse Leyar and I can be your advisor. Come with me.'' Said Clarisse.
Luffy followed Clarisse as she typed some numbers into her computer to make Luffy register.
''This is your first time joining a guild?" Asked Clarisse.
''Yes, I want to go out to space and explore everything!'' Said Luffy.
''Oh my! You sound so buccaneer.'' Said Clarisse.
''Is something wrong?" Asked Luffy.
''No.'' Said Clarisse.
Then after a picture was taken Luffy was register member of the guild.
''Here is your license, this will show that you´re a member of our guild.'' Said Clarisse.
''Cool, now is there a quest that I can do?'' Asked Luffy.
''Well…'' Said Clarise a bit nervous.
''Is there? Is there? Is there?'' Asked Luffy over and over again.
The poor girl didn't know how to work with pressure, all she wanted was to do her job in peace, but it was never easy.
''I don't know what to say to him. People who joined usually tag around with new people, what do I do?' Asked Clarisse to herself.
Then someone appeared in the woman balcony, it was a girl with blonde hair, a kind revealing outfit and a b cube around her neck.
''Hi Clarisse!'' Said the girl alongside a blue cat.
''Rebecca! Happy.'' Said Clarisse.
''Is everything ok?" Asked Happy the talking blue cat.
''Wow! A talking cat!'' Asked Luffy in shock.
''I am android!'' Said Happy.
''Wow, I never seen an android before!'' Said Luffy touching Happy.
''Rebecca this is guy is making me feel nervous.'' Said Happy.
''Please let happy go, he doesn't like this kind of attention.'' Said her.
''Sorry, name´s Luffy.'' Said him.
''Rebecca, and this is Happy.'' Said the girl.
Once this was done Rebecca talked with Clarisse, wanting to know about their next job.
''So Rebecca are you heading up to some place?" Asked Clarisse.
''I was thinking to go towards Granbell.'' Said Rebecca.
''The Granbell planet!'' Said Clarisse.
''What is that?" Asked Luffy.
''You´re must be new here, what planet are you from?" Asked Rebecca.
''Foosha.'' Said Lufffy.
''From the Four Blues solar system! Man, you´re really from far away.'' Said Rebecca.
''Yes, I started my adventure life today.'' Said Luffy.
''Why do you want to be an adventure?" Asked Rebecca.
''Because I am going to be see mother with my own eyes, be the first person since Gold Roger to meet her.'' Said Luffy all excited.
While Rebecca was surprised by Luffy answer Clarisse had an idea on her mind, maybe to help Luffy start up his life as an adventurer.
''Uh…Luffy, I´ve have an idea.'' Said Clarisse.
''What is it?' Asked him.
''Rebecca why don't you take Luffy with you? He is strong, he can help you in case of trouble.'' Said Clarisse.
''Really, are you really strong?" Asked Rebecca.
''Yes! I been fighting and training since I awaken my Ether Gear.'' Said Luffy.
''Wow, an Ether Gear user! That´s amazing, whats the name of your power?" Asked Happy.
''Rubber Nika. The last name is something about a god or…I don't know.'' Said Luffy.
''Ok.'' Said Happy.
Rebecca was intrigued to have someone around to help around, however a guy alone with a girl like her who lieks to dress in cosplay for views didn't seen like a good idea.
''Ok, listen here Mister. If you try to take a peek of me you´re out of the ship, go it.'' Said her.
''I don't understand that but ok.'' Said him.
''And get me your B-Cube, I can help you with your account.'' Said Rebecca.
''I don't have a B-cube.'' Said Luffy.
''WHAT! Why!?'' Asked Rebecca.
''I´ve kind never cared for those thing.' Said Luffy with a smile.
''You don't care for videos or funny stuff?" Asked Happy.
''Well, I like those things, but I was never interested in having one of things while I was training.'' Said Luffy.
''Ok, we can deal with this later. I´m sure we can find one for you later.'' Said Rebecca.
Clarisse just smile at that, the two were already making a bond.
''I think this is a good start.'' Said Clarisse.
''Well Luffy are you ready to explore new worlds?" Asked Rebecca.
''Sure thing!'' Said Luffy all excited.
Luffy and Rebcca shake hands as their alliance just started.
''Lets go, my ship is this way.'' Said Rebecca.
''Alright! My adventure is about to start!'' Said Luffy excited.
So this is it, Luffy and Rebecca form an alliance that would last much longer. Lets see how is going to be for the rest of the crew, we will see in great detail where the others are and how they are doing in great style. I´ve already have plans for Zoro to show up before Weisz and then we can go on. Hope you all enjoy this story.
