Chapter 4
"Alright, stop…. time's up please pass your papers to the front." Mr. Ectoplasm said as the whole class of 1-A let out
an exhausting sigh.
"Man, that test was so hard-core, hopefully the studying I did
this morning paid off," Jiro said which caught the attention of
Kaminari who at the time was looking at his paper with a
dumb look on his face. "Duh…. the answer to question one
is the letter's AD…." he said as Jiro just face palmed herself.
"You drive me crazy Kaminari, did you not do some studying last night…. if not, that's just way beyond idiotic," Jiro said shaking her head. "I didn't think this test
was going to be this bad…... plus I really wanted to finish
my game last night," Kaminari said as he handed his rows
papers with his up to the front.
"Will you two extra's shut the hell up…. Fuck, you two are
bitching about a test that was a cakewalk…... Hell, I could have aced that test without looking over a single problem so
quiet your whining Ears….and Taser Boy, if you would
study for once, you may learn something…. but for a moron
like you that's asking too much isn't it." Bakugo said as Jiro
gave him an angry look.
"Okay, first of all, you poor excuse for a time-bomb, I don't
whine about shit….and second this conversation had nothing to do with your temperamental ass so the way I see
it you can go blow yourself you fucking jerk!" Jiro said as
Kaminari just nodded his head. "Yeah…. what she said…."
he said to Bakugo. "TSK…. screw you both," Bakugo replied
as he looked towards the front of the room. While that was going on Midoriya who was writing in his notebook overheard the conversation and looked at Jiro.
"Wow, it's so amazing how Jiro has no fear of almost anything
out there, and it's so honorable how she stands her ground…
even though it can be scary sometimes….I wish I had the
courage to stand up to Kacchan like that." Midoriya thought
as his insecurities started to haunt him again. "RING!" the
bell rang ending the class. "Okay, I will have your results in
the morning….class dismissed." Mr. Ectoplasm said as it
was lunchtime and everyone was gathering their things.
"Manari-bro, you want to come with us to lunch?" Kirishima
asked, who was with Ashido and Hagakure. "Sure, let me put
my things away…. Jiro are you coming?" Kaminari asked as Jiro just shook her head. "No, I'm hanging out with Yaomomo and Sero…. but thanks anyway Shock Therapy,"
she replied as Kaminari said his goodbyes and left the room
with the other three. As he caught up to them, Hagakure let
out an exhausting sigh. "That test was a nightmare…... I mean
who's going to use all those equations and stuff when saving
people?" She spoke. "Yeah, I forgot to do some last-minute studying last night so I kind of don't want to see my grade..."
Kaminari added.
"You know Manari…... I've been seeing you talking to Jiro
a lot more these days….is there something going on with you
two?" Ashido asked with a big smile on her face. "Oh, are you
trying to hit on her now?" Hagakure added. "No…. No, I'm not trying to hit on her…. we're just friends…. besides I'm
still looking around, okay?" Kaminari said. "Well, that's no
surprise that you're looking around Manari-bro…...plus when
the right one comes along, she will see just how awesome you
are and that you try your best at everything you do and that's
very Manly," Kirishima said making Kaminari smile.
"Thanks, man…...glad to see I'm still appreciated," Kaminari
said. "Well, of course, you are Kaminari…. we all appreciate you…. anyway, speaking about romance, did you guys see
Uraraka today." Hagakure asked everyone. "Oh man, are we really talking about this…. can't we just talk about something else?"
Kirishima asked shaking his head. "Come on Kiri, it's not that
bad…. yes, Toru I did, and boy did she look depressed….
why can't she just tell him how she feels?" Ashido asked really getting everyone's attention. "What do you mean by that Ashido?" Kaminari asked as she just rolled her eyes at him. "Oh, come on Manari…. you know what I mean and I
think I speak for everyone when I say that Ochaco Likes Midoriya," Ashido said.
"Yeah, she's not hiding it very well…...what's her deal?" Hagakure added as Kirishima just shook his head. "Now
guys come on; we don't know that for sure…. plus, it's not
our business….so we should just leave it alone." he said as
Ashido pouted. "But I think they would be so cute together
plus, I did predict them both to get together and I hate being wrong about these things….Kiri, our class doesn't have any
romance going on and I believe it's in a way our duty and right
to give them both a little push." Ashido replied.
"I don't know guys…... I kinda agree with Kirishima here….
plus, how do we know Midoriya likes her back?" Kaminari
asked surprising Ashido. "Oh, come on…. I've seen him glace
her way a lot times in the past." Ashido said. "Plus Midoriya
has never hidden it very well either….so in my expert opinion I believe the feelings are mutual," Hagakure said adding her two cents. "Guys let's just leave it alone, okay?" Kirishima pleaded with them as Ashido playfully slapped his shoulder.
"If we do that then they will always be in the same spot…
doing nothing and we just can't have that." Ashido said. "I Agree…. we can't stand by and do nothing," Hagakure added
as Kaminari looked at both of them.
"Why is everyone in such an uproar about Midoriya anyways
…. Look I get that he just got back from a hard-fought battle…. but it's like every girl I come across is so worried about him or what he does with his life lately….
I mean what's the big freaking deal?" He said in a kind of
irritating tone. "What's this…. Manari are you a little jealous of Midori?" Ashido asked with a sly-like smile.
"What!?….no I'm not jealous of him…. It's just..." Kaminari
said when a hand landed on his shoulder.
"Manari-bro, you said that he just got out of that raid and you're right we did, and it was very tough on all of us…. but
mostly on him….so I can see everyone being kind of worried
about all of our well-being…...they're our friends after all."
Kirishima said as Kaminari suddenly felt guilty. "Oh gosh….
your right dude…. I'm so sorry guys, I didn't mean anything by it…. I feel terrible now." Kaminari apologized. "It's cool man," Kirishima replied. "Who else has been really worried
about Midoriya besides us and Ochaco?" Hagakure asked
catching Kaminari off guard. "What...oh well Jiro has been worried about him ever since he's been back from the raid…. she thinks he's dealing with some emotional issues and
trying to hide it from everyone else," Kaminari said as both Hagakure and Ashido looked at each other while Kirishima just closed his eyes and shook his head. "Wait…...who has been worried about Midori again?" Ashido asked even though
she heard him the first time.
"I said Jiro has been worried about him since the raid," he repeated. "Well, that's a new one…. I've never seen those two ever interact before." Hagakure said. "Still, that's very
interesting that Kyoka of all people would worry about Midori like that," Ashido said with a smile on her face. "Really guys…. I think we need to just drop this subject as
well…...again this is not our business, plus Jiro can handle her own without us sticking our noses in her shit, not to mention how pissed she would get if we did, and Midoriya is
still recovering from the raid….so while we are all worried about him, I think the last thing he needs is for us to start assuming things about his personal life, okay?" Kirishima said
as Ashido was making a pouty face.
"But that's no fun Kiri…." Ashido said as they all entered the lunchroom. "Please, Mina?" Kirishima asked blushing a little
after calling her by her first name. "Okay…... I get it, Kiri." Ashido said giving up. "You're the best Ashido," Kirishima said with a big smile causing Mina to blush a little. As Kirishima walked away to get into the lunch line
Ashido was thinking to herself. "I'm still going to at least ask
Jiro about Midori…. there's no harm in that right?" She thought when Kaminari broke her concentration. "Damn it,
I left my wallet in my bag…... I have to run back to the classroom…...I'll be right back." Kaminari said as he ran out
of the lunchroom.
"Nothing changes about him." Kirishima laughed knowing what he did as he watched Kaminari run out of the room while Hagakure walked up to Mina while watching Kaminari
leave. "Mina, you're going to ask Kyoka about Midoriya aren't
you?" Hagakure whispered. "How did you guess that!?" Ashi-
do asked. "Cause I know you too well and I won't say anything under one condition," Hagakure said as Mina looked at her. "What would that be?" Ashido asked. "I want in on this
cause I'm kind of curious about this myself…...plus if you didn't ask her, I probably would have," Toru answered. "Oh
that's all…. oh, this will be great... but we just can't let Kiri know about this, okay?" Mina whispered as she
too got in line. "Yeah, good luck with that," Toru said under her breath as she got in line with her best friend.
Meanwhile, back in the classroom, Asui was about to head for the lunchroom when she saw Uraraka sitting at her desk drawing on a piece of paper with a heavy-hearted look in her eyes, as she just sat there instead of getting ready to head to the lunchroom. "Hey Ochaco, are you okay?" Asui asked as
Uraraka didn't respond. Walking to her desk Asui tried to get her attention again. "Ochaco…...hey Ochaco…. are you okay?" She asked again as she put her hand on Uraraka's shoulder "AAAH...oh hey Sue…. you kinda scared me there
… What's up?" Uraraka said jumping at Asui's touch. "Ochaco
I tried to get your attention a second ago and you weren't
responding so I'm kinda worried about you a little bit…. again
are you okay?" she asked looking concerned.
"Me…...oh I'm fine…. I'm fine, I'm just trying to recover from that test we took and I'm not sure I did very well but I
studied really hard and…..." Uraraka said when she looked up
at Sue, who was wearing a stern look on her face as if she was
saying (I don't believe you.) staring right at her. "I really can't
fool you, can I?" Uraraka said as Asui shook her head. "Ochaco, you know that already….so what's wrong Ribbit?"
Asui asked. "Well…. I was with DEKU last night and we were studying for the test when I finally got up the courage
to tell him how I felt and needless to say it didn't go very well and he told me that he saw me as just a friend and I woke
up and looked all around my room and…." Uraraka said getting more upset the longer she told the story when Asui stopped
her. "Wait…...wait Ochaco, did you say you woke up…. I'm
confused." She asked. "Yeah, well apparently it was all a dream, and he really wasn't there, and I didn't really tell him how
I feel and…. DAMN IT! WHY IN THE HELL DID I HAVE TO HAVE THAT DREAM FOR!?…. It messed
everything up for me." Uraraka said as tears started to fall from her eyes and Asui quickly grabbed her and wrapped her up in
a hug trying to calm her down.
"Ochaco…...Ribbit…. I'm so sorry…. It's going to be okay…. It was just a dream, right?" Asui said rubbing her back. "Yeah, but that wasn't the end of it…. after I woke up
DEKU really did show up and it was like some invisible wall
was standing between me and him and I was going to try to go through with telling him how I felt about him when that
memory of that dream came back, and it just froze me into doing NOTHING...WHY…. why can't I do this….
ever since you said that thing about him feeling the same way,
I've been afraid to tell him and right now I feel like I lost him
already…. I don't know what to do." Uraraka said as she cried onto Asui's shoulder, and it made Sue tear up at her friend's situation. "Ochaco listen, I didn't mean anything by
that, I was just stating the facts okay…. that's who I am Ribbit…. I tell it like it is and you know there was always a
chance that he could say that…. but that doesn't mean just
give up everything right…. a hero would never give up on what they believe in or how they feel about something and
I know you're not a quitter…. plus, he could feel the same way,
we just don't know okay…. remember 50/50….so don't feel
like it's the end of everything even if he doesn't feel the same
way…. don't lose hope…. Ribbit."
Asui said as she lifted Ochaco's face up to look at her, wiping the tears out of her eyes with a napkin.
"Yeah…. your right Sue…. I can't give up…... I have to at least
tell him how I feel even if he doesn't feel the same way at least I know that I gave it my best shot and that's what being
a hero is all about, right?" Uraraka said as she wiped her other
tears from her eyes and smiled as Asui smiled back "It's what
being human is all about….and you know that whatever happens I will always have your back okay….and I'll be cheering you on every step of the way…..now let's get to lunch and get your mind off of this issue for the time being
alright?" Asui said as Ochaco hugged her again.
"Yeah, I could use a break from this, and I am kinda hungry….
Thank you so much, Sue." Uraraka said breaking the hug.
"You sure you're okay Ribbit?" Asui asked. "I'll be okay…. let's
go…. besides we also have a Culture Festival to plan for any-
way so that might help me ease my mind over DEKU…. I'll
get another chance and make it count for sure this time!"
Uraraka said with a big smile. "Alright then," Asui said as they turned to leave when the classroom door opened revealing Kaminari entering the room.
"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" he asked. "Oh, you know, Sue and I were just going over the math test and we
had some personal stuff to talk about," Uraraka said. "What
brings you here Kaminari…. Ribbit?" Asui asked. "Oh sorry
you guys I wasn't trying to pry, I just came to get my wallet
since I forgot it….by the way I wanted to ask how you both
have been since…. you know the raid?" Kaminari asked after
grabbing his wallet. "Oh, well I've been pretty good so far even though I had only a small role in helping everyone out in
the raid," Asui said Shocking Uraraka.
"Sue! You did a lot more than that, you helped Togata get to
safety and protected Mr. Aizawa, don't sell yourself short like
that….as for me, I've had better days but I'm trying to get myself back to happier times again." Uraraka said. "Oh
Man, that sucks…...is there anything I could do to help…. you
know if you need a shoulder to lean on, here's a spot right here. (he pats his shoulder) … And no, I'm not trying to be a
perv Sue." Kaminari said as Asui looked at him in an accusing way while Uraraka just laughed. "Thanks Kaminari,
I needed a good laugh there and I'll keep that in mind if I ever
need your shoulder…. I'll get through my little issues in time and right now I'll take any joke thrown my way even if it's a
little pervy." Uraraka said with a smile. "Ribbit...let's get to the lunchroom, I'm hungry and we don't have that much time
left," Asui said as the three left the classroom. "So have you two had any good ideas for the culture festival?" Kaminari asked as Uraraka and Asui looked at each other.
"Well, I haven't really thought about it since it was announced, and of course with the test and everything else going on I'm going no on the idea front other than the Mochi shop…. what
about you Sue?" Uraraka said looking at Asui. "How about a Frog song and Dance…. although I don't know if the others can learn how to do it right Ribbit," Asui said as Kaminari gave her a skeptical look. "Yeah, I'm not sure I could do something like that, but it would've been great to do the maid
cafe...you guys would've looked amazing in those maid costumes...Hehe.' Kaminari said as Asui rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, sure that would be loads of fun Kaminari…. but Kyoka said it best when talking about the benefits of having a maid
cafe in class yesterday," Asui said as Kaminari looked at her.
"Hey, don't bring that up again and for the record, I wasn't all
that excited about my idea." Kaminari defended himself as they entered the lunchroom. "Sure…. listen the only
people that idea would benefit would be you and Mineta since
you are both perverts," Asui said shocking him with her response. "Oh, come on Sue really!?…. I'm not that…."
Kaminari said when he was interrupted by the laughter coming from Uraraka. "HAHAHA…... Kaminari, you can be so funny
from time to time, and it's one of the things I like about you….
girls like that about a guy so you got that going for you, again
thanks for the laugh…... I feel a lot better now…. but I would
not do the maid cafe…. sorry." Uraraka said as Kaminari got a
dejected look on his face.
"Oh man.' he said as they got to the table, they all sat at. "Wow
Manai-bro what took you so long…. lunch is half over." Kirishima
asked as everyone looked at the three students. "Oh, we kinda held him up a little bit...sorry about that. Uraraka said as Kirishima waved it off. "Oh no problem, I just thought he fell asleep in the bathroom or something," Kirishima said getting a laugh out of everyone. "Hey, I wouldn't sleep in the
bathroom!" Kaminari said as they all laughed some more when Mineta came over to the group. "Hey you guys, did you
hear that Ida and Big boob's want to have a meeting tonight in the common area of the dorms? He asked as everyone looked at each other. "Meeting…. What's it about purple Perv?" Ashido asked. "Mina, you should know what it's about
…. the culture festival…. we have to come up with something to do for the school." Hagakure said as everyone agreed with
an understanding of what needs to be done. "What time do we
need to be there by?" Uraraka asked. "I think they said 8 PM, but double check with them on that one…. I got to go find the
others to tell them…. see ya." Mineta said as he ran out the door leaving the others. "I hope we can figure something out
tonight…. I don't want to have to do Mr. Aizawa's lecture in
front of the school." Kaminari said as everyone agreed with his statement.
"Delaware Smash!" Midoriya yelled as he kicked a spike-looking rock on the large mountain-like area Cementoss created in Gym Gamma. "Wow...I've worked up a sweat and its not getting any better in here…...let me take my gym jacket off so I don't melt in it." Midoriya thought to himself
as he took it off revealing a soaked tank top with his entire upper body just covered in sweat. "That's much better, now
let's try that new wind attack All-Might showed me…... FULL
COWLING….15 percent." Midoriya thought as green lighting shot out all over his body as he jumped in the air heading towards the ceiling. "Okay Izuku, just like All-
Might said…. aim at the target….and at the moment of
release, raise One for All to 20 Percent and (FLASHBACK
…..."You let me down Midoriya." Nighteye said lying in his
coffin…...FLASHBACK…."Midoriya why did they have to take my quick away…. Why me…. couldn't you have stop them?" Mirio said sitting in his hospital room. FLASH-
BACK ENDS) Midoriya was in the middle of saying when those memory's causing him to lose focus and fall to the ground of the second level with a hard slam knocking him
against the wall. "Owwww…. Damn it….Nighteye…. Toga-
ta, I'm sorry okay…. I really wish things were different….
I wasn't strong enough." Midoriya said as he laid there on the ground.
"I wasn't strong enough," he said again as he slowly got up.
"Wasn't strong enough," Midoriya said again as green lighting started to shoot all over his body again. "WASN'T
STRONG ENOUGH….FULL-COWLING 25%!
Midoriya said as he disappeared from how fast he was moving.
"So where are we going Yaomomo?" Jiro asked as Ida,
Yaoyorozu, Sero, and herself were walking outside the U.A. grounds. "Well, we are heading to Gym Gamma Kyoka,"
Yaoyorozu responded. "Why…...to train or something?"
Jiro asked. "Because Midoriya's there training as we speak
and we have to tell him about the meeting tonight, Jiro," Ida
said jumping into the conversation. "Oh...yeah that's right it
figures he would be there," Jiro replied as she looked towards
the ground while playing with one of her ear-jacks. "Wow, doesn't he ever stop to take a break from training…. wait
…. we're about to see what he does when he trains…. maybe he's doing better mentally now and…." Jiro thought when Sero tapped her shoulder to get her attention.
"Hey Jiro, are you listening…. hello…." Sero asked seeing that she was staring out into space. "Damn it Sero, what the hell do you want!?" Jiro snapped catching everyone by surprise. "Jiro! That language is uncalled for and is not appropriate
for U.A. standards," Ida said as Jiro got herself together. "Oh man, I'm Sorry Sero, I didn't mean it like that, I was just in deep thought that's all…...my bad everyone," Jiro said as
Sero just brushed it off. "It's cool…. but you must have been
thinking about something good…...is there a guy on your mind?" Sero asked with a big smile on his face. "What!?….
No, it wasn't anything like that." Jiro responded. "I... don't….
knowww….it sure looked like you we're thinking about someone there… someone like Kaminari maybe….Hehe."
Sero said assuming his belief that Jiro had a thing for Charge-
bolt, to which Jiro had a shocked look on her face. "Are you
fucking nuts…... Why would I be thinking about that perverted
lighting-dolt?" Jiro yelled as she stabbed Sero in the ear
with her ear-jack zapping him in the process. "Jiro language
please!" Ida said again as Sero screamed out in pain.
"Sero, if you want to live, I would suggest for you to stop talking nonsense….and Kyoka are you still thinking about
the possibility that Midoriya's still in pain mentally?"
Yaoyorozu said to the both of them. "Yaomomo!….why did you
say anything about that now?" Jiro asked as a light blush app-
eared on her cheeks and ears. "What's this about Midoriya
being in pain?" Ida asked a little concerned for his good friend.
"Ida, it's nothing really we just thought he looked a little off the other day…. but he told us that he was just a little tired and
that he was okay…. RIGHT Yaomomo?" looking at her with a somewhat annoyed stare. "Yes Kyoka, your right so Ida there's nothing to worry about with Midoriya okay?"
Yaoyorozu said looking at him...then looking back at Jiro with a
guilt-looking look on her face.
"Wait…...Midoriya…...he's the one that's been on your mind…...since when…. I mean I've never seen you two
even talk to one another and yet you're thinking about him?"
Sero asked. "Okay Sero Shut it, I get it that I don't talk to the guy...and I don't need everyone to tell me about that all the time
got it!" Jiro said as Ida spoke up "While I'm glad that Midoriya's doing okay, I need everyone here to please calm down…
whatever business he has with Jiro is her business alright…
we're not here to gossip about our classmates…. we're here to
let Midoriya know about the meeting tonight...so let's get to him so we can get ready for everything okay?" Ida said. "I
agree with Ida so let's get this done….and Kyoka, I'm so sorry for speaking out of line, okay?" Yaoyorozu said as Jiro
accepted her apology while Sero just scratched the back of his
head as he looked down in guilt. That being said the four started to walk towards the gym when a huge explosion-like
sound echoed around the whole area as the ground shook
causing the four students to lose their balance and fall.
"What the hell was that?" Sero said as Ida looked toward the
gym. "It came from Gym Gamma…. Midoriya?" he said as
he quickly got up and ran towards the building prompting everyone to follow suit. When they all got into the gym they
were all met by an awesome yet scary sight as Midoriya was
destroying the whole mountainside of the training course as a huge cloud of debris smoke and green lighting was all over the room shocking the for students. "My goodness, what's happening here?" Yaoyorozu said as Ida powered up his engine's "MIDORIYA, STOP THIS AT ONCE OR I'M GOING TO COME UP THERE AND STOP
YOU MYSELF! YOU'RE GOING TO HURT YOURSELF
AGAIN, IF YOU DON'T STOP THIS!" he yelled when
suddenly the green lighting came to a complete stop as the debris
stopped and the smoke dust hung in the air. The four students
waited for the smoke to clear as the last piece of debris fell and when it finally cleared, they were all shocked by what they saw as Midoriya just stood on a small rock formation in
front of the side of the mountain he destroyed completely covered in small pieces of debris and having cuts and bruises
all over his upper body while blood was dripping off his fists
and he was breathing heavily as his face was covered by his
messy green hair. "My god Midoriya," Ida said as he ran over
to the stone pillar towards his good friend when Midoriya raised his hand out in a stop motion prompting Ida to stop nearby,
"Ida please, I know this doesn't look good but trust me on this
that I will be okay…. I was just working through some things, and I was trying a new attack out and things got out of hand
…..I'm alright really." Midoriya lied as he lowered his hand.
"Be that as it may, you still need to go to the infirmary….
what kind of attack was that that caused you to do all this?"
Ida asked as the other three made it to where Ida was. "My
goodness Midoriya your hurt badly." Yaoyorozu said looking
at all of his wounds. "Dude Midoriya, I don't know what that
was but it was awesome…. was that an attack you used on that boss guy in the raid?" Sero asked when Jiro used one of
her jacks to stab into the side of Sero. "Ouch…. what was that for?" he asked as Midoriya turned his head to see who was
there with Ida. "Oh, hey Yaoyorozu, I see Sero is with you and
Jiro as well." Midoriya looked at her for a couple of seconds as he continued. "You guys could have snuck up behind me and I would've never known…. hahaha….so what brings all of
you guys here…. oh, did you guys want to use the gym training
center as well?" Midoriya said as he tried to get off the subject of his well-being. "He's still trying to hide his pain….
I don't understand why he's doing this to himself…. I mean look at him, he has cuts on his arms…. his wrist...and his chest
has a couple of slashes across it along with his ABS having
a couple of large cuts on them as I look around his toned muscles
I also see a bunch of bruises…...my god he looks like he has been in a war…...wait a minute…. since when has he looked
so jacked!... I mean look at all those muscles…. those broad shoulders….and that's got to be one of the best six-packs I've ever seen…. I mean I know I've seen him shirtless
before, but seeing it this close…...that is one sexy-looking nerd…. wait what am I Thinking?….the dude is literally bleeding from his hands and I'm checking out his body?….
I'm such an idiot." Jiro thought as Ida spoke to Midoriya again.
"Midoriya let's get you to recovery-girl and we will tell you on the way why we came to see you okay…. those cuts need attending too," Ida said as Midoriya suddenly collapsed onto
the ground. "MIDORIYA!" The four screamed as they ran to the unconscious One for All user.
"Smoooooooch!" Recovery girl said as she completed her
treatment on Midoriya while the four students who brought
him here watched on as Midoriya began to wake up. "Oh man
…...what happened…. this isn't gym gamma." he said when
suddenly he got whacked in the head with Recovery Girls cane. "Ouch!" Midoriya cried out as he looked right at the
old woman. "Don't you "ouch" me young man, you overdid it
again, didn't you…. don't you ever learn!" she yelled as
Midoriya quickly shielded himself from a possible second blow as
the four other students backed away a little from the angry old
woman.
"I'm sorry Recovery Girl; I was trying a new attack, and I went a little too far with it…." Midoriya said as the old woman
just shook her head. "You always go too far with everything you do…. have you no restraint…. oh, why do I bother,
anyway, I have another student to attend to so you should be
good as new in two hours…. thank goodness it wasn't as bad
as the other times…. I tell you kids today." Recovery girl said
as she walked away leaving the five students alone in the
room. "Wow Midoriya, is she always like that with you?" Sero said as Midoriya laughed a little at the question.
"Actually, she can be worse at times….one of these days
she not going to heal my injuries…. instead, she just going
to beat the crap out of me with her cane for coming here
so much," Midoriya replied. "So are you feeling better now
Midoriya?" Ida asked. "Yeah, Ida I am…. thanks, you guys for
bringing me here...I don't know what I would've done without all of you…. I was just so stupid for using such a powerful
attack without understanding the ramifications of how much power it took to control it." Midoriya said. "Yeah, but
it almost seemed like you were angry or something while you
were destroying the side of that mountain..." Yaoyorozu said
when Midoriya cut her off in mid-sentence.
"Yaoyorozu, I'm alright…. I just lost control of my quirk okay
… I'm still recovering from the aftermath of the raid so
my nerves and sense of judgment are slightly off, but I'm doing
a lot better than I was a couple of days ago so there's
nothing to worry about…. I appreciate the concern though thank
you." Midoriya said as Jiro looked away from him. "I don't
fucking get it…. why is he still lying to us like this….is he
afraid of something…. does he not want our help…. or is
it that he doesn't want to burden us with his problems….
and why the hell did I call him a sexy nerd earlier…...why
did I think of him like that…. I don't know what's wrong with
me…. okay, I will admit that he is sore-of cute with a hot
body…. what the hell…. god get it together girl, I don't
know what this shit is going on with me but a part of me
really wants to help him with this pain he's dealing with…
maybe I just need to lie down for a little bit before tonight."
Jiro thought as her face turned a little red, she quickly moved
behind Yaoyorozu to hide from everyone especially that cute
dweeb lying in bed. "Well, Midoriya the reason we came to
see you was to let you know there is a class meeting in the
common area of the dorms to discuss what we are going to do
for the culture festival," Ida said as Midoriya's eyes began to
light up in excitement. "Oh really….do you guys have some
ideas on what we are doing as a class?" Midoriya asked.
"Well at the moment no but hopefully we will all agree on
something especially since we have to have a choice made
by tomorrow…...be there at 8 pm okay Midoriya," Yaoyorozu
said. "Well, we better let Midoriya rest now that we told him,
plus, we have to get the common area ready for tonight
Yaoyorozu." Ida said. "Oh man, I have to get back and water my
plants…. I mean do my homework...yeah..." Sero said. "I agree
… We still need to get dinner ready, and I have to put on a pot
of tea for everyone…. Midoriya, I hope you feel better and try
not to push yourself too hard…. not just for me but for
everyone's sake please…. see you tonight." Yaoyorozu said as she
followed Ida towards the door. "Get well Midoriya, I'll see you tonight man," Sero said following suit to stand next to Ida
at the doorway. "Sero, I didn't know you were into gardening
that's very commendable of you," Ida said catching Sero
by surprise by the compliment. "Gardening…. .. oh yeah…...gardening," Sero replied leaving Jiro there looking
at the man who has lately been consuming her mind the past
week and a half. Midoriya looked at her and for a brief
moment his cheeks had a hint of red on them while she looked at him
with her face starting to glow red again by the minute. "Get
well, Midoriya okay." Jiro said as she quickly turned and
walked really fast out the door. "Thanks, guys…. hey Yaoyorozu,
is Jiro, okay?" Midoriya asked as Ida and Sero followed Jiro out the door leaving the Creation user with Midoriya.
"Kyoka has been going through some small issues the past
few days but than that, she's doing just fine, okay…. goodbye
Midoriya." Yaoyorozu said as she too walked out of the
infirmary. Trusting her words, Midoriya just looked up at the
ceiling as he thought about that look on Jiro's face. "I really
hope she's okay…. that's someone I never want to see unhappy." Midoriya thought as he closed his eyes to take a little nap
when the door to the infirmary opened and Todoroki stepped in. "Recovery Girl…. Recovery Girl…. hello, is anyone in
here?" he called out when a familiar voice answered him.
"Recovery girl is helping another student Todoroki, it's just me in here," Midoriya said as Todoroki quickly came towards
him. "Midoriya what are you doing here…. how did you hurt
yourself this time?" he asked as Midoriya looked away from
him in embarrassment. "I tried a new attack, and I didn't think
to calculate how much power it would take to control it and I
went over my limit again...Hehe," Midoriya said while Todoroki
just shook his head as he sat down next to his bedside. "You know that isn't like you…. most of the time your
planning your attacks and strategies before you execute them and
I know that since you've been back you haven't been yourself
…. I would have talked to you sooner, but I had to get my
license since I failed the first time in getting them…. plus I
didn't how to approach you with this but since I'm here with
you now I'm going to confront you with this….and I'm asking
you as your good friend…. What's going on with you….
Really." Todoroki asked as he looked into Midoriya's eyes
wanting the true answer from him.
"Todoroki…...I don't want to burden you with my problems
….I don't want to burden anyone in class with my problems…...but you're a really good friend to me and I know that I
can't lie to you so yes, I am dealing with some issues that
pertain to the raid of which I can't say what they are because
again, I don't want my troubles on your shoulders…. but I
want you to know that I'm making some progress in resolving
these issues so I do appreciate all of your concerns, plus
everyone else's…. but let me handle this okay?" Midoriya
said as Todoroki just looked at him and nodded his head in
acknowledgment. "I understand Midoriya, but you know I
don't mind listening to your problems especially if I have
a way to help my best friend out with his issues….so if you're
still having problems and need someone to talk to…. you
know my doors always open okay Midoriya." Todoroki
said as his friend just smiled. "Th,anks Todoroki, I will
definitely keep that in mind." Midoriya said as Todoroki
stood up from his seat. "Well, I better get back to the dorms
…...are you coming to the meeting tonight or do you have to
stay here all night to recover?" Todoroki asked as he began to
walk towards the door.
"Oh no I only have to be here another hour and I'm free to go
back to the dorms so I'll be there tonight….by the way, why did you come to the infirmary in the first place?" Midoriya
asked as Todoroki had a shocked look on his face. "Oh no
I forgot about the band-aids." Todoroki said as Midoriya
laughed a little at that response. "Band-Aids?" he said as
Todoroki explained. "Aoyama cut himself in the kitchen and
needed a band-aid, but we were all out and I didn't know were
Yaoyorozu was so I came here to get some from the old
woman, when I found you here…... Aoyama's not going to be
happy with me." Todoroki said as Midoriya laughed. "That's
hilarious Todoroki…. you would forget about something like
that….hahaha…. well, you better get over there fast...I think
she keeps them in that cabinet over there." Midoriya said as
Todoroki went to the cabinet and found the extra she had.
"Okay got them…. I'll see you over there Midoriya," Todoroki
said as he got ready to walk out the door. "Okay, Todoroki,
I'll see you over there at eight, oh and I'm pretty sure Aoya-
ma found Yaoyorozu by now so he may or may not need one,
but it's good that you grab us some more." Midoriya said with
a smile. "Ya, you're probably right…. see ya," Todoroki said as
he walked out the door leaving Midoriya to rest there for the
next hour as he closed his eyes to rest.
"7:25 pm…...thirty-five minutes to spare awesome, I must be
one of the first to arrive," Kaminari said as he put his phone
back into his pocket when the elevator door opened and he
walked out. When he looked in the common area he was met with a shocking surprise. "Oh wow, I guess I wasn't the only
one with the same idea huh." he thought as he saw about 95% of
the class waiting for the meeting to start. "Yo, Manari-bro….
over here." Kirishima said as he was there talking with Midoriya. "Hey Kirishima, what's up…. Oh, Midoriya I see you
made it after all…. I heard you hurt yourself in Gym Gamma
today, what happened?" Kaminari asked as he walked up to the heroes to be. "Oh, hey Manari…...yeah I just got out of the
infirmary about an hour ago, but long story short I was an idiot for using a new attack that I didn't manage my power
properly so yeah I messed up."
Midoriya said as he took a sip of his water. "Midori-bro your
not an idiot okay…. you just misjudged the shit that you put
into that attack that's all…. we all do things like that." Kirishima
said. "Yeah man, you are really hard on yourself sometimes
and you need to stop that, or no girl is going to like you….
speaking of which, have you had any special girls on your mind lately…. cause if that was the case that could've been a
distraction for you while you were using your power." Kaminari said as Midoriya spit out some of the water he was
drinking as his face got really red. "WHAT?! No Kaminari I
wasn't thinking about any girls…. most of the time I'm to busy to think about things like that." Midoriya said as he was
scratching the back of his head.
"Now to be fair a lot of us guys are not thinking about girls
24/7 like you Manari-bro because we're all trying to be heroes
dude and that takes up a lot of our thinking process….I still
think it was just a miscalculation on Midori-bro's part."
Kirishima said as Midoriya nodded his head in agreement. "Oh, come on guys…. that's one of the best things about being a teenage guy… 'chicks'…. look I get we're here to learn how
to become heroes, but neither one of you can look me dead
in the eye and say (I didn't think about any of the girls in any
way since we got here.) am I right?" Kaminari said as both
Kirishima and Midoriya were now red-faced and looking any-
where but at Kaminari. "That's what I thought." Kaminari said smiling.
"Hey, I was wondering if you guys had any new ideas for the
culture festival?" Midoriya asked trying to change the subject.
"No not really…. I mean a part of me is still against even
having it on account of what's been happening out there the past few weeks, but I do know that I don't want to have a damn lecture in front of our schoolmates that's for sure."
Kirishima said. "Yeah, I haven't had any new ideas although I
still think that maid cafe was a good idea…. but none of the
girls liked the thought…. I don't know why." Kaminari said
as both Midoriya and Kirishima gave him an annoyed look.
"Yeah, I can't imagine why they didn't like it," Kirishima
said rolling his eyes at the thought. "Oh, shut up Kirishima,"
Kaminari said as Midoriya just laughed at both of them.
"HaHaHa…. thanks guys I really needed that…. lately its
been so rough emotionally that it has left me wallowing in
little bouts of depression, so anytime I get to laugh it
is much appreciated so thank you guys." Midoriya said as
both guys looked at him with a smile. "It's cool Midoriya,
we all understand what you went through so we're happy to
do all we can to help make you happy dude…...say I'm thirsty so I'm heading for the kitchen to get something to drink
okay." Kaminari said as Midoriya finished his water. "Oh
could I join you I'm still thirsty myself." he asked as Kirishi-
ma, who also wanted something to drink followed suit as the
three went towards the kitchen.
Meanwhile, over by the T.V. Uraraka was watching the three
guys talking while having her own conversation with Asui.
"Ochaco…. hey Ochaco…...hello?" Asui said as she waved her
hand in front of her face. "Oh, Sue…. sorry about that…. what were you saying again?" Uraraka said after being caught
staring at the guys...mostly Midoriya. "You're thinking about him again, aren't you?" Asui whispered so that the others couldn't hear their conversation. "I'm just glad DEKU's alright and out of the infirmary…...but it does worry me when
he injurers himself all the time…. why didn't anyone tell me about it sooner so I could watch over him and…."
Uraraka whispered when Asui interrupted her.
"Ochaco, I didn't know about him till later on as well so you
weren't the only one out of the loop and I care a lot about him
as a really good friend, and for the record you're starting to scare me with you wanting to be there for him at every
waking moment…. that's called being too clingy…. look I know you are his very close friend but getting upset for not knowing
about his condition is a little obsessive and that can be a very
bad thing." Asui whispered. "But Sue I just want…." Uraraka
tried to get out before being cut off again. "No buts…. that's not how heroes act…. that's how villains act like that Toga girl
who tried to take our blood in the forest and I know you don't
want to end up like that right?" Asui whispered as Uraraka just sighed.
"Yeah, I guess you're right about that…. I'm sorry Sue." Uraraka whispered as Asui smiled. "Look I know you feel
about him okay…. just be careful about it….so when are
you going to try again to tell him about your feelings
Ribbit." Asui whispered as Ochaco just shook her head. "I
don't know yet…. I mean I haven't figured out a time when
the two of us can be alone so I can tell him and I'm not sure
that I would do it with the way things are going so tonight I
just want to focus on this culture festival coming up…. who
knows maybe I can find a moment with DEKU and…. I just
don't know Sue." Uraraka told her in a defeated tone.
"It's okay Ochaco, I understand Ribbit…...maybe this culture
festival is just what we need to take all of our minds off of the
most daunting tasks that life throws at us…. have you thought of anything new since this afternoon?" Asui asked as Uraraka
just shook her head. "Sorry, but I couldn't think of any ideas
that the whole class would like…. maybe DEKU has a couple
of ideas…. he's so smart when it comes to group activities."
Uraraka said as her face suddenly turned bright red with the biggest smile Asui had ever seen on someone. "You outta just
tell him now and get it over with," Asui said out loud to a
shocked Uraraka. "Sue! Not so loud please hehehe." Uraraka
said as Asui just smiled knowing that the conversation would stop being about Midoriya from this moment on.
"Well, it looks like the tea's almost ready, and the Yakisoba is
almost done…. I hope Todoroki will like it." Yaoyorozu
thought to herself as a blush appeared on her cheeks when a voice
called out to her. "Hey Yaomomo you need any help?" Jiro said scaring her. "AHHHH…. oh, Kyoka it's just you…yes
that would be nice since the meeting is going to start soon."
Yaoyorozu said as she pointed to the stove where a pot of food was cooking. "Could you check and see if the Ramen is
ready?" Yaoyorozu asked her as Jiro went over to check.
"Yeah, it looks ready," Jiro said turning the stove off. "So how
are you holding up?" Yaoyorozu asked as Jiro took a deep breath. "I feel a little better, but it sucks being so out of tune."
Jiro replied a little frustrated with herself. "You know he
asked about you earlier." Yaoyorozu said as Jiro's eyes got wide as she looked at the creative user. "Who did?" Jiro squeaked
out pretending not to know who she was referring to as a light blush appeared on her cheeks. "Oh, come now you know
who I'm talking about…. Midoriya asked about you."
Yaoyorozu said as Jiro suddenly grabbed both of her jacks and
started tapping them together while she looked down at the ground.
"W-w-what did he say..." Jiro asked barely above a whisper.
"He asked if you were okay, and I told him that you were going through some small issues but that you would be just
fine…. he seemed happy with that answer," Yaoyorozu said
as Jiro looked up at her. "Midoriya was worried about me….
Why would he be worried about me when he was the one who was passed out from all those injuries." Jiro said as Yao-
Yaoyorozu looked at her with a smile. "Well, if I were him I
would've asked the same question about you after the way you left
the infirmary…...is the whole Midoriya thing really getting
to you that bad?" Yaoyorozu asked as Jiro just turned her
head hiding her embarrassment.
"Yaomomo, I don't know what's going on with me and this issue with Midoriya…. It's just every time I see him it's like he
does everything he can to lie his way out of revealing his pain
and I'm so tired of seeing it because out of all of us that is the
one person who doesn't need to hurt anymore with all he's been through…. I want to help…. with whatever is bothering
him but every time I think about it; I feel that guilt of
judging him and I lose my nerve….and you want to know the
most fucked up part about all of this….is that for some reason I can't get it out of my mind…...so I don't know what
else to say on it." Jiro said just flat out angry with everything
when suddenly Yaoyorozu came over and hugged her.
'Yaomomo!?" Jiro asked as the blush got stronger on her face.
"I understand how you feel…... you're worried about a friend and you want to help them in the worst way, but Kyoka for you to do that you have to let go of that guilt you
have for yourself…...okay so you judged Midoriya and he
proved you and everyone else wrong…...fine…. you may or
may not know this but you probably weren't the only one who said that he couldn't be a hero during that time and yet
you're the only one who's tearing themselves down over it….
Stop beating yourself up over this and talk to him…. just talk
to him…. who knows maybe he might open up to you, right…
but before that happens you have to help yourself first."
Yaoyorozu said as she broke the hug as Jiro looked up at her.
"Oh my god Yaomomo…. your fucking right…. I have to stop having these guilt trips about me judging Midoriya…. but I'm
still nervous for some reason about talking to him….so what
do I do there?" Jiro asked as Yaoyorozu walked over and reached into the oven to grab the finished Yuki Soba.
"I can't help you with that one…. only you can…. now let's
get this food to the dining room table so everyone can eat
before the meeting starts, okay?" Yaoyorozu said as Jiro smiled. "Yeah, you're right…. like always….by the way that
Yakisoba…...is it me or are you trying to get someone's
attention….Hehe?" Jiro snickered as she carried the pot out to the
dining room leaving a dark red-faced Yaoyorozu just staring
at the kitchen exit.
"Ok everyone's here and accounted for." Mashirao Ojiro
(AKA Tailman Quirk-Tail) said as Kaminari walked up
behind him. "Finally, we can get this show on the road,"
he said as the main meeting began. "Now that things have
quieted down, I have some thoughts about the list we came up
with yesterday….it has come to my attention that we have
caused some stress upon the other students…...it might make
sense to choose something that would raise their spirits in an
effort to make it up to them," Ida said as everyone nodded their heads in agreement.
"I absolutely agree, I mean we're striving to become heroes, and we should be aware of any trouble we may have caused
others," Yaoyorozu said. "I concur on that response, so I think
it would be a good idea to leave the food stalls out of our
choices especially since Lunch Rush has an Adequate selection of choices," Ida added buming some of the classmates.
"Oh man….so food stalls are out of the question then?" Sero
said completely disheartened by that fact. "I'm afraid so Sero," Ida replied. "We have to keep the other classes feelings
in mind as well," Shoji said adding to Ida's response. "Ok, so
what then?" Hagakure asked as Yaoyorozu looked on her lap-
top at the list. "Well, we can cut out all the food ideas and
focus on other experiences…. there's the maid cafe which we
can all agree is a no…. plus there's the petting zoo, magic show, and whatever a (Funhouse) is," Yaoyorozu said naming the options they had.
'I don't know….a petting zoo sounds kinda smelly." Sero said. "I still say a 'skit' would be a lot of fun," Jiro said
adding her two cents. "I don't know…. watching a bunch of
amateurs perform could be stressful," Sero added as Ashido
spoke up. "Why don't we have a big dance party?" she asked
getting Todoroki's attention. "Wait….dancing….that's a pretty good idea," he said walking up to Yaoyorozu and the
laptop. "Wow, you would be into that Todoroki?" Ashido asked in a shocked tone. "Hang on a second Ashido, may I
see your laptop, Yaoyorozu?" Todoroki asked as she just smiled.
"Sure...here," Yaoyorozu said as Todoroki looked at the
computer.
"There was something I've seen before, I don't know what it's called exactly but I know that people enjoy it…. there
something like this," Todoroki said pulling up a video of some concert. "Wow, not something I would expect from
Todoroki…. wait, are you like some secret Raver!?" Mineta
said shockingly. "No…. I just agree with Ida about
creating a stress reliever for the other students….in order to
do that we should offer something that's entertaining to everyone." Todoroki said finishing his idea. "Interesting….
Singing and dancing huh?" Ida said as everyone thought about it. "None of us dance well do we….and we don't want
to show off a cringy routine," Sato said when Ashido chimed in.
"Hey, I can dance great Sato, so don't worry guys I got your back…. I mean look at what I did for Aoyama." She said as
Aoyama broke out into some of the dance moves she showed
him. "Wow, that's really good Ashido," Kaminari said. "Now
hold on all of you, if you guys want to do this then we are going to need some awesome rhythm and some serious jams!" Mineta said. "Well, if we're talking about music then..."
Hagakure said as everyone in the room turned to look at Jiro
shocking her with all their eyes focused on her. "Wait….
What!?" Jiro said. "Why don't we perform live with all of your instruments?" Hagakure asked. "Absolutely not!" Jiro
replied. "Oh, what's wrong…. you're really good at playing them and teaching others how to play…. you always look like
you're having so much fun doing it as well." Hagakure added as Jiro looked at the ground. "No…. I'm not Ashido or Sato…
their hobbies actually help their hero work…. they have a purpose…. but music is just a hobby that I have nothing more…. sorry." Jiro said as she tapped her ear-jacks together.
"I just don't think I want to burden everyone with my lousy
hobby…. I would be too nervous." Jiro added getting Kaminari's attention. "Oh…...so that's what's got you worried?" he asked as he walked up to stand right in front of
her. "But you can play so many instruments…. your firkin
awesome!" Kaminari added. "Jiro…..why don't you use your talent to make other people smile…... I think your music
will definitely be useful when you become a pro." Koda said
helping Kaminari convince her to do it. As they were
talking, Midoriya watched as Koda gave his take on the matter when an image of Eri appeared in his head and the
thought of Jiro's music might give her the opportunity to smile again.
"H-H-H-hey J-J-Jiro….M-maybe it w-w-would be a g-g-good thing f-for you to p-p-play your music…. I'm s-s-sure
that it w-w-would be a r-r-really g-g-good show b-because its
c-c-coming from you and I k-know y-y-you give it y-your all
at everything y-you do…. I know someone w-who would really like to h-hear s-s-some great music a-a-and deep down
I know that your j-j-just the person who can deliver t-t-that to
all of the school….so-so please Jiro…. please?" Midoriya
said as everyone turned their heads to the One-for-All user.
But the one that was the most shocked to hear his voice was
none other than Jiro herself who was just speechless and for
some reason blushing profoundly at his request to have her
perform. "Okay look I understand where all of you are coming from but if she doesn't want to perform then that's
her choice alright?" Yaoyorozu said. "I'll do it," Jiro whispered as Yaoyorozu turned around and looked at her.
"What did you say?" She asked in a shocked tone. "Well
since you guys said all of those things…. If I didn't do it….
Well, it wouldn't be rock-in now would it." Jiro said as everyone cheered. "All right everyone I think we have our
idea," Ida said as everyone agreed. "Hey….
are you sure about this…. I mean are you okay with it because
I know how shy you are about your music and…." Yaoyorozu
said when Jiro cut her off. "Chill Yaomomo okay…. yes, I'm
good with doing this," Jiro said. "What changed your mind?"
Yaoyorozu asked as Jiro looked over at Midoriya and smiled.
"I don't know Yaomomo…. for some reason, I just felt inspired to do it." She said as a light blush came back on
her cheeks. Yaoyorozu saw the look in her eyes and followed
the direction of the look as it landed on Midoriya and she
started to smile too. "He really has a way with words doesn't
he?" Yaoyorozu said as Jiro quickly looked away. "Oh Shut
it Yaomomo," Jiro said as Yaoyorozu just laughed. "I think I've had enough fun for one night how about you?" Yaoyorozu asked. "I couldn't agree more, let's get out of here," Jiro said as both of them left the room for the night.
While they were walking away Midoriya was watching them
leave and a smile appeared on his face as he got his wish.
Little did any of them know that someone else was watching
them leave and she had a very displeased look on her face.
