NOTE: Stella's mom, Dr. Judy Zhau being a veterinarian is from an idea by Deviantart user jgodzilla1212.

Lana was leading Lincoln, Lola, and Lucy deep into the Great Forest, outside the city of Trolberg. Going through, Lincoln stepped onto a loud branch...

Lana: Lincoln, we need to be quiet! We don't want to attract any attention.

Lola: Lana Loud, where are you taking us?

Lola looked down at her dress to see thorns stuck to it.

Lola: My dress is ruined, and I'm all scratched up! You could have told us we would be walking through a forest.

They were deep into the forest, with them going through bushes under tall trees...

Lana: (grins) It's a surprise. Trust me, you'll love it.

Lincoln: (mutters) Well, I don't love all these mosquitoes.

Lucy: (with a happy look) I do.

Soon, they all reached a wooden log, and Lola and Lincoln sat down on it. Lana and Lucy noticed, and stopped walking...

Lola: I'm not going any further until you spill the beans.

Lincoln: Me neither. Out with it, Lana. Why did you drag us into through this forest?

Lola: And what's with the binoculars?

Lana: (sighs) All right, I'll tell you.

Lana took out a piece of pocket from her pocket, then she squeezed in between Lola and Lincoln, and spread it out. It was the drawing of a falcon...

Lana: I found a nest of 3 baby falcons when I visited here last month.

Lola: Why are you telling us this all now, Lana?

Lana: Well, animals don't like to be disturbed. I was waiting to tell you guys where the babies were older.

Lucy: So, where's the nest?

Lana: We're almost there.

The four Loud siblings then went further into the forest. Between tree branches, Lincoln saw glimpses of a stream. About a minute later, right by the stream, Lana saw a specific tree...

Lana: It's right over there. The tall tree in the clearing.

Lincoln: But all I see are leaves.

Lana pointed about halfway up the tree...

Lana: Do you see that brown stuff around the dead branch?

Lincoln, Lucy, and Lola looked up, and saw what was in the tree.

Lincoln: I see it!

Lola: Me, too!

Lucy: (deadpan) Me, three. (to Lana) You climbed that tree?

Lana: (shakes her head) No, I didn't. I was worried I would disturb this nest, and the parents might abandon their babies.

She pointed to a birch tree that was at the edge of the clearing.

Lana: I've also had Hilda send a message to the Trolberg Safety Patrol to check on the falcons regularly. One time a week, I've had Tina bring me here so I can check on the falcons myself, too. I climb that tree and look over them with my binoculars.

Lincoln: Could we climb over and take a look with you?

Lana: Of course, but we need to be quiet. I don't want to scare them.

The birch tree was perfect for climbing, because its smooth limbs made a natural ladder. Lincoln, Lola, and Lucy then followed Lana up to a thick branch Lana used her binoculars to look to the other tree. What she saw there surprised her...

Lana: That's weird.

Lucy: What's weird, Lana?

Lincoln: Let me take a look.

Lincoln took the binoculars from Lana, and looked over to the tree for himself. When he squinted his eyes, he saw directly into the nest. There weren't any falcons there, only a few feathers. Lincoln looked at Lana with raised eyebrows...

Lincoln: Lana, where are they?

Lucy: Where are what?

Lola: What's going on?

Lana turned to her siblings, and said, 'The baby falcons are gone.'

Lucy: Maybe they flew away.

Soon, the Loud kids climbed down, and were standing under the falcons' tree. Lana shook her head, and says, 'They were just learning to fly. They weren't ready to leave their babies yet.'

Lincoln: Could they have fallen out of the tree?

He looked down on the ground.

Lana: I doubt it. If they had, the parents would still be here, watching over them. (she then frowned) I think something took those birds.

Lola: What do you mean? What kind of something?

Lana: (now worried) Other animals, like owls and snakes, who like to eat baby birds.

Lucy: But wouldn't the parents protect the baby birds?

Lana: Yeah... unless something happened to them, too!

Lola: Maybe something scared the parents away.

Lana: (shakes her head) The parents wouldn't leave their babies, Lols.

Lincoln: Then what happened to them, Lana. If the baby falcons were here just yesterday, they can't just disappear!

Lana: I don't know. Come on, let's get back to Royal Woods. I want to report this.

Lola: Report it to who?

Lola, Lincoln, Lucy, and Lana were now walking back toward the path...

Lana: I'm not sure. But we can ask Dr. Zhau. She knows a lot about animals.

The four Loud kids walked back outside the forest, and saw Tina, and after she transported them back to Royal Woods, they went to the animal hospital, the place where Stella's mother, Dr. Judy Zhau, works as a veterinarian. After telling the receptionist there that they wanted to see her, a call was made, and then Judy came out...

Judy: Hi, kids, what's up. I was just about to leave for the day.

Tina explained to Judy about the missing falcons with Lana finishing up with, 'They were there yesterday, but now, they're gone!'

Judy put her hands on her hips...

Judy: That Does seem odd.

Lincoln: Should we report this to someone?

Judy: That's a great idea, Lincoln.

She got out a piece of paper, wrote a phone number on it, and handed it to Lincoln...

Judy: That's the phone number for the Trolberg Safety Patrol. You can tell them what had happened there.

Lincoln: Thanks, Dr. Zhau. Could we use your phone?

Judy: Sure, go ahead.

Lincoln was about to go the phone on the desk when Tina stopped him...

Tina: Lincoln, I know someone there named Emma, who works for the Trolberg Safety Patrol. Is it alright if I made the call?

Lincoln nodded, and after dialing the number, he gave Tina the phone. Tina explained to whoever it was on the phone about the nest and the missing falcons. She thanked the person who was speaking on the phone.

Tina: Someone is gonna go to the forest in Trolberg to take a look. But the person I talked to said that an owl probably got the babies.

Lola: (shuttered) Those poor falcons!

Tina: I've also told that person to relay the message to Emma, as well.

Tina and the Loud kids thanked Judy, and then left the animal hospital. It was starting to get dark outside. Tina said 'Good night' to the Louds, and to meet up in Trolberg together the next morning, then went to a secret area, and disappeared. Lincoln called Aunt Shirley, who sent her limo for him and his sisters. While riding in the limo, a conversation happened. Lana was thinking about the events that had happened...

Lana: I don't think an owl could have taken those baby falcons.

Lucy: You don't?

Lana shook her head, and says, 'Mother and father falcons are fierce! They wouldn't let an owl get within ten feet of their nest.'

Lola: Could a snake climb that high?

Lana: Yeah, a human snake!

Lincoln: (wonders) Lana, do you think a person stole the falcons?

Lana nodded.

Lola: But who would do something like that?

Lana: I don't know. But we're going to find out!

The limo driver drove the Loud kids home, and then drove Lincoln back to the mansion for the night.
