The next morning, Lincoln, with Leni, Lana, and Lily by his side, plus Lana, Lola, and Lucy, along with Luan, Lynn Jr., and Lisa, (after telling them what had happened) transported to where the forest in Trolberg was, and met up with Tina...
Tina: Good morning, (a bit confused) whole Loud family...
Lincoln: Tina, I called up Lana just before we got here, and told her that we're going to need some help to solve this mystery.
Lana adds, 'Yeah, so we told our sisters about these falcons, and they were all happy to help.'
Leni: I hope that there's no spiders near the birds' nest!
Tina shook her head amusingly, and says, 'Don't worry, Leni, we'll protect you if there are spiders.' She and the Loud siblings then hiked through the forest to where the tree was. Just before they reached the clearing, everyone stopped. A man was standing under the falcons' tree, looking up into the branches. The Loud siblings looked at each other, then stepped into the clearing. The man had brown hair, black eyes, and was wearing a red long-sleeved shirt, black belt, brown pants, and brown sneakers. The brown-haired man turned around and saw them.
Man: Hi, there. What are you kids up to?
Lincoln: (cautiously) We were just hiking.
The man smiled, and asked, 'Did you come here because you guys heard about those missing falcons?'
Lana: (smiles) Yes, we know that. But how did you know about it?
Man: I work for animal protection in Trolberg. When I heard about the missing birds, I gladly offered my services to help.
Lana then introduced herself, her siblings, and Tina to the man...
Man: Very nice to meet you all. My name's Alan Paschich. Listen, I know you all want to help, but the best thing to do is stay away from here. The adult falcons won't come back if they see or smell you kids.
Tina: But we came here to look for clues. Lana thinks a person might have stolen the falcons.
Alan: (surprised) A person? Well, it's possible, I suppose. But I doubt it, because I've been over this whole area, and I didn't find a single clue, human or otherwise.
The Louds and Tina followed Alan to the edge, and when they got to the trail, he turned right...
'Thanks again', said Alan, and he began jogging down the path. Tina and the Loud siblings headed down the trail in the other direction. Suddenly, Lana stopped walking...
Lana: Listen!
Luan: What?
Lana: I hear something.
Lana knelt next to a patch of weeds. and slowly parted the stalks, with her fingers. Everyone saw a brown bird that was in the weeds. It had a shiny, yellow beak, and black eyes...
Lisa: It's a young peregrine falcon! He must be from the nest!
The bird was trembling. It opened its beak, made chirping noises, and its shiny eyes never left Lisa face. Leni took a closer look at the bird...
Leni: The poor thing looks scared.
L.J. took off her jersey, -showing her wearing a white tank top underneath- and carefully draped it over the bird...
L.J.: He won't be so scared if he can't see us.
Luan: What should we do with it?
Lana: We can't just leave him here, something could eat him.
Tina: Let's take him to Dr. Zhau.
Lana carefully picked up the peregrine falcon, and then everyone hurried down the path. When they got out of the forest, Lana smoothed the bird's feathers, and suddenly felt something...
Lana: Hey, what's this?
She gently stretched one of the falcon's legs, and wrapped around the leg was a narrow metal band, which made Lana, and the others gasp. Soon, the team were at the animal hospital, and Judy examined the band on the falcon's leg...
Judy: There's writing on it. But it's too small for me to read at the moment.
Lana: What is it?
Judy: It's a name tag, Lana, just like you'd hang on a dog's collar. Someone who put that there thinks they own this bird.
Lana was holding the bird, who was still partly wrapped in L.J.'s jersey. It was sitting quietly, watching everyone.
L.J.: I'm wondering if he's hungry. What do falcons eat?
Lisa: Peregrine falcons will mostly eat other birds, but they'll also eat fish and other stuff, too.
Judy: Let's find out!
Judy went to a small refrigerator, and got out a raw hamburger patty. She pulled off a chunk of hamburger meat, and held it under the falcon's beak.
Lana: (murmurs) Come on, birdy, take it.
Suddenly, the falcon's head had shot forward, and in one quick shot, the meat was gone.
Luan: Boy, I guess he was hungry! We should call him, 'Quick as Lightning!' (laughs) Get it?
The Loud siblings groaned, while Leni asked, 'What should we do with him?' Judy answered, 'I better look this bird over.' Tina and the Loud siblings stood by while Judy examined the falcon. Afterwards, L.J. took her jersey off the falcon, and put it back on.
Judy: Where did you find him?
Lana: Out in the forest by Trolberg.
Judy: This Is a young peregrine falcon.
She then cuts the band off the falcon's leg, then she gently spread out the falcon's wings, and checked for anything that could be broken...
Judy: He seems healthy enough; he was probably starting to fly. But, look here, someone trimmed his wing feathers!
Tina and the Loud siblings crowded around...
Judy: See, peregrines usually have long, pointed wings. But these have been rounded off with scissors.
Just then, a knocking sound was heard on the door, and Judy opened it. It was a red-haired teen girl, wearing glasses with green lenses, a white shirt, a light green jacket, a dark green skirt, and white shoes. She came inside...
Judy: Kids, this is my new assistant, Siobhan Andrews, from Hillwood City.
Siobhan: Hello, everyone.
Tina and the Loud siblings introduced themselves to Siobhan, then Judy said, 'Siobhan, these kids brought in a young, peregrine falcon.'
The red-haired teen gave Tina and the Louds a long look. Then, she turned around and ran her hands behind the bird. Suddenly, the falcon bit her finger.
Siobhan: Ouch!
Judy: (chuckles) Better wear some gloves, Siobhan.
Luan: What should we do with the bird?
Judy: I'll keep him here for a few days. We'll make sure he's okay, and then we can decide what to do.
Tina and the Loud siblings said goodbye to Judy and Siobhan, and headed outside. While walking, Lily was pouting, and asked Lana, 'What would happen to bird?'
Lana: Well, at least that one will be safe at the animal hospital. But I wonder where the other two are.
Lola: Wherever he was before he escaped!
Lincoln: What I want to know, is why someone would trim off that's falcon's wings.
Tina: We should go back to Trolberg. Then we could find more clues!
Tina and the Loud then went to an abandoned area, got the magic medallions got, and transported together to Trolberg.
