While they were having lunch together...
L.J.: (whispers to Lincoln) I think Lana is sick.
Lana heard L.J., and said, 'I am not sick.'
Lola: Then why are you so quiet?
Lana: I'm thinking about those falcons. I think Siohban Andrews took them.
Lincoln: Siobhan Andrews? Why do you think it was her?
Lana: You saw that magazine she was reading; it was all about birds.
Luan: (nodded) She was acting a little strange at the animal hospital.
L.J.: Yeah, and remember how she looked at us when we passed the diner. She was staring at us.
Tina: Lynn, she was staring at us because we were staring at her!
Leni held up her hands to say something...
Leni: Let's go to the animal hospital and talk to Siobhan. Because maybe she'll say something that could be a clue.
Everyone got up from the picnic table.
Lincoln: Okay, but I think Lana's wrong. Just because Siobhan reads magazines about birds, -as does many other people out there- it doesn't mean she goes about robbing nests.
At the animal hospital, after asking the receptionist for permission, (after a call, Judy allowed them to come in) they went inside to see Siobhan holding a crow down on the table.
The bird had plastic wrapped around its leg.
Luan: What happened to the crow?
Siobhan: He got caught in a plastic six-pack holder.
Everyone saw that Siobhan and Judy had on long leather gloves. They watched as Judy handed Siobhan a pack of scissors, watched as Siobhan carefully snipped the plastic with them. The gloves came in handy for Siobhan, as the crow bit her several times. When the crow was untangled, Siobhan headed for the back door, and Judy opened it for her. Siobhan was carrying the crowd through a courtyard that was filled with cages and pens. Everyone went in to take a look at it, and it was as big as a basketball court that was surrounded by a tall wooden fence through a gate. Tina and the Loud siblings saw cages that held raccoons, rabbits, a few snakes, lots of birds, and even a baby fox.
Lola: Wow, I thought vets just took care of cats and dogs.
Siobhan: Some do. But I also happen to like wildlife.
Lana: Where's the falcon we brought in?
'I put him over there', Siobhan said, walking toward the back of the courtyard. 'Dr. Zhau likes to separate the newcomers from the other animals.' She stopped in front of a small cage that was covered by a small rug.
Siobhan: He may be sleeping.
She removed the rug, and they saw that the bottom of the cage was covered with straw. There was also a section of a hollow log inside.
Siobhan: That's where he goes to hide from us.
She tapped lightly on the right side of the cage. 'That's strange,' said Siobhan. She opened the cage door, jiggled the log, and then looked inside it...
Luna: What's the matter?
Siobhan: He's gone.
Lana looked in the cage...
Lana: What? How could that falcon be gone?
Siobhan: I don't know. But I better tell Dr. Zhau.
Siobhan headed back inside.
Luna: Something's fishy here. How could that falcon just disappear?
Luan: Someone stole him again!
Judy and Siobhan ran outside across the courtyard.
Siobhan: He was in his cage before lunch, Dr. Zhau.
Judy: Siobhan, was the cage locked?
Siobhan nodded, and replied, 'I think it was, but I'll check.' She ran to a corner of the courtyard...
Siobhan: The lock's been busted!
Everyone hurried over. The thick wooden gate was closed, but the lock had been shattered. There were bits of wood and metal on the ground. Judy picked up the pieces of the lock.
Judy: Someone sure wanted to get in here! That was a very strong lock!
Lincoln examined the door closely...
Lincoln: I wonder if there's any fingerprints on the wood.
Judy: There could be.
Tina: Should I get Emma to help us?
Lincoln: And should we also call the police here in town? I have a good friend there who could help us.
Judy: Those are excellent suggestions.
She walked back inside.
Siobhan: I better get that lock fixed.
The teen girl hurried away without saying goodbye. With that, Tina and the Louds left the animal hospital. They went to the Loud House to discuss the situation...
Lana: I bet Siobhan busted that lock herself to make it look like someone broke in.
Lincoln shook his head, and said, 'Siobhan helps animals, Lana.' Leni suddenly asked, 'Do birds have memories?'
Lisa: I believe they do. Why?
Leni: Well, remember when we first brought that falcon to Dr. Zhau at the animal hospital. It bit Siobhan on the hand.
Lisa: Yeah. So?
Leni looked at her siblings and Tina...
Leni: Well, if Siobhan had climbed that tree and took those falcons, maybe that falcon remembered her, and that's why he bit her!
Lincoln: You're jumping to conclusions, Leni.
Lisa: I think we need to look up more information about peregrine falcons.
Tina: Lisa's right. If we know more information about them, maybe we'll be able to figure out why someone's taking them.
Lincoln: Why don't we go the library?
Lisa sighed, got out a red ball cap and mustache, them says, 'I figured that was going to happen.'
Lana: Okay, But Siobhan Andrews is still at the top of my list!
Luna: Who else is on your list?
Lana: Nobody!
Tina and the Loud siblings jogged across the street (while a red stoplight was shown) and headed for the library.
