Chapter 5:
Mother, now free from her prison, gives birth to hundreds of yamirei - albino slug-like creatures. Ben, Kai, and Grey try to run, but Ben and Kai get trapped.
"Look what you got me into," says Kai.
"Hey, you weren't even invited," says Ben, "also, it's creepy to be watching someone without their knowing, Stalker!"
"I wasn't stalking you," says Kai, "I told you; you're not my type!"
"Yeah, your type is apparently dog-faced," says Ben.
Just as the yamirei were about to attack them, a group of shiryos (the spirits that animate the dead into shibito) pour down into the abyss and fight the yamirei, giving them time to escape...

Ben and Kai return to the park where Kai destroys the gates. The others arrive. "Kai," asks Gwen, "what are you doing here and where's Yuri?"
"Ben's date was with a monster," says Kai.
Ben sighs. "Yuri's mother is a giant fish demon thing that's controlling all these monsters and... Yuri kind of tricked me into freeing her!"
"I saw the mother," says Grey, "but the rest I did not know about."
"Hi, I'm Alice."
Kai looks at Ben. "She's just a new part of the family... wait, what am I doing," asks Ben, "I don't need to explain anything to you!"
"Okay, let's worry more about our current problem," says Max.
The already released become yamibito and begin converting the island's shibito.
"Run," says Ben. They then all run but get surrounded by yamirei. Ben's about to use his watch again, but dawn breaks, and the light-sensitive yamirei are destroyed.
"You guys are on your own," says Kai, "I gotta find my grandpa!" Kai then leaves.
