So I also corrected this chapter several times.

But I am happy with the name for Ranma's first technique that he will show as the Dragon!

Ranma lay down on his futon and buried his face in pillows.

His mind wandered to the moment between him and Akane. It was a moment of togetherness and Ranma was somewhat happy, at least what he could feel.

But it was also a bitter goodbye. It was better this way. When the moment came, Akane could move on with her life.

"Are you okay, Ranma?"

Ranma looked up and saw that it was Cologne. He sat up and rubbed his cheek dry.

"What's up, old ghoul?" Ranma asked as he stared at his lap.

"What time are you leaving tomorrow?" Cologne asked and Ranma looked up. That old witch knew everything too.

"I'll go with you. I'll take Mousse and Ryoga too in case of emergency."

No questions, nothing. Since when was Cologne so human?

"Why are you helping me?" Ranma asked and Cologne puffed on her pipe.

" Ranma, you sacrifice yourself but that won't happen without a fight. Let alone that you just walked in with Akane with a radiance that went right through my soul." Cologne said but Ranma didn't understand where she was going with it.

" I want to see the reincarnation of Aimei. We of the Amazon tribe have the obligation to take care of Aimei when she comes together with her lover. I won't take on that role 100% but Shampoo will."

" In that way. Thank you." Ranma said with a small smile and Cologne was surprised for a moment but smiled back.

" That suits you better than the tearful face. Akane knows you're leaving?" Cologne asked but Ranma shook his head no and Cologne was surprised.

'' It's better this way. Then Akane won't see...'' Ranma couldn't say it. The idea alone. Ranma turned around. What did he owe all this to?

''GET OUT...NOW!'' Ukyo shouted angrily.

''Ukyo, could you please calm down a bit?'' Nodaka asked and Ukyo glared at her.

''No! I have to hear from everyone to give Ranma space but in the meantime Akane has spread her legs and Ranma accepted that invitation! I feel betrayed e-...''

Ukyo put her hand on the cheek that had just been given a firm slap. Ukyo looked up and saw Nabiki looking angrily at her.

''What do you think?! How dare you talk about my sister like that?!'' Nabiki snapped. No one could harm the honor of the Tendo family.

''Nabiki!'' Kasumi shouted. Soun came forward and took Nabiki by her shoulders and guided her away from Ukyo. Then Soun looked at Ukyo.

''Tendo-san! She has already been dishonored and no less than by Ranma himself!'' Ukyo snapped angrily.

"Ranma and I didn't have sex, not like that..." Akane said tiredly. Couldn't this stop?

" Shampoo... why don't you say anything?! " Ukyo sneered at the Amazon.

Shampoo made 2 fists and she looked angry but the answer was something no one expected:

" Shampoo angry but R-r-ranma is legend Meng Zhang. I obey Amazon laws..." Shampoo said.

Further back Ryoga Cologne is standing and beckons to him that he and Mousse should come along.

When Ryoga and Mousse are outside they see Cologne sitting on a rock.

" Is this a stuffed Tanuki?" Mousse asked loudly as he adjusted his glasses and squinted.

" Blind duck! It's me! " Cologne shouted as she punched Mousse.

" What did you call us for, Cologne?" Ryoga asked as Cologne exhaled a cloud of smoke.

"We're going with Ranma tonight, but quietly. He's going to China." Cologne said.

Ryoga was stunned and angry.

He had given up his love for Akane for his best friend aka rival and now Ranma was going to leave Akane behind?

When they had just proven that if they could they would have sealed their relationship?

" Why would he want to leave in silence?" Mousse asked.

" He wants to convince the Elder council to stay with Akane. But he knows that it will put him in a few life-threatening situations." Cologne said.

" But then Ranma will never come back. He only has to see the reincarnation and he has lost the battle." Ryoga said in despair.

" And that's just it. I have had many conversations with Kiima and one thing just doesn't add up." Cologne said.

" And what is that supposed to be?" Ryoga asked.

" While Kiima had received the message that the reincarnation lived in China, Mousse and I received proof around the same time that the reincarnation is in Japan." Cologne said.

" WHAT?! But that means... there's a false reincarnation out there?" Ryoga asked in dismay.

" Indeed. I want to know what's going on before Shampoo has to fulfill her duty. In addition, we have to protect Ranma so he can work on his recovery as well." Cologne said.

" What time do we leave?" Mousse asked.

In the middle of the night Ranma was ready to leave.

Cologne, Mousse and Ryoga were already waiting outside with their backpacks.

Cologne had given everyone homemade lemonade from the Inn before going to bed, only it contained sleeping powder. So no one woke up so they could leave peacefully.

Ranma sat next to Akane and looked at her. He held a box in his hands. Ranma had expected something different when he would give this, in a more romantic setting.

He opened the box and took out a silver necklace with a closed pendant that contained a picture of him and Akane.

Once Ranma came outside and grabbed his backpack, the four of them walked away.

On the way, Cologne told them about the time she was being prepared for many tasks she would have to face as an Amazon.

Ryoga, who was walking next to Ranma, saw how Ranma stared ahead of him.

Ryoga was actually surprised. With the many admirers that Ranma and Akane had, they could have been together for a long time if they weren't so stubborn.

But not only that, every time Ranma and Akane got closer to each other, something happened to drive the two apart, for example by Toma to find his bride.

Mousse looked over his shoulder at Ranma. Hopefully he would get better soon. He missed the old routine in his daily life with Ranma and the others.

Cologne didn't have to look, but she knew what the other two were thinking. It was going to be much more difficult.

There had been quite a bit of chaos when the families, Ukyo and Shampoo found out that the boys and Cologne had disappeared.

Without leaving a note. Nodaka and Kasumi were disappointed. Soun and Genma had talked about an honorable mission that Shampoo agreed with them.

Ukyo didn't understand why they hadn't said anything. Nabiki remained calm about it.

Three weeks later, Akane and Nabiki were sitting in the living room.

Kasumi was hanging out the laundry and Nodoka was preparing lunch. Soun was engrossed in his newspaper.

Nabiki looked over and saw Akane looking at her pendant. The photo inside it of Ranma and Akane that had been taken by Nabiki. It was a heartfelt photo.

Nabiki wondered where that photo had gone, she could have gotten 5000 yen for it for sure.

Apparently Ranma was smart this time.

Genma walks in with a letter.

" Akane-kun, there's a letter for you."

Akane took the letter and her eyes widened.

" It's from Ryoga-kun."

" Read it out." Nabiki said as everyone gathered in the living room and Akane opened the envelope.

She opened the letter and started reading it out:

" Dear Akane-san,

We are all in China, in Cologne's village. In a few days we will leave for the east to go to the secret village of Byakko.
Ranma is quiet and thinking a lot. Cologne says that Ranma also feels that something is wrong.
Mousse sends a message to Shampoo. She will visit you soon.

I hope we see each other again soon.

Love, Ryoga.

P.S.: Ranma still suffers from nightmares but they are less."

Akane knew deep down that Ranma would go to China. Whatever the reason, she knew that Ranma would come back. She didn't know why herself.

" What should we do now?" Kasumi wondered.

" Wait until Shampoo comes, I guess." Nabiki said.

Akane read the letter again and felt relieved in a way. Ranma had less nightmares. Bringing back the little bit of happiness had done Ranma some good.

" Nihao!"

Akane looked up and saw Shampoo and Ukyo standing there.

" Mousse letter sent with map." Shampoo said and gave it to Nabiki.

Nabiki unfolded the letter and started reading it out loud.

" Dearest Shampoo, ( Shampoo made a face)

We are about to leave for the secret village.
Cologne noticed during our journey that we were already being followed.
That is why Ryoga and I are sending these letters from the sidelines.
We are going to need your help. Hold the map and Ryoga's letter together against the light.
You will see where the village is approximately. If possible, take doctor Tofu with you.

Greetings, Mousse."

Everyone was silent for a moment. Was this going to be such a dangerous mission that even Tofu-sensei had to come along?

" When were the letters sent?" Ukyo asked.

Nabiki looked and saw no date. Akane also looked at Ryoga's letter but no date.

" Shampoo, how long until Cologne reaches the secret village?" Nabiki asked and gave her the map and the letter from Ryoga so that they could see the location.

Shampoo thought about it for a while, counting on her fingers and came up with an answer: " From Great-grandmother village, travel 8 days."

'' So tomorrow or the day after tomorrow they will reach the secret village.'' Genma said.

'' But why does Tofu-sensei have to come along?'' Kasumi asked worriedly.

'' Tofu-sensei is also a skilled martial artist and a doctor with knowledge that they may not know about.'' Akane said as she stood up.

'' What are you going to do?'' Nodoka asked.

'' Pack my bag. I'm going to China and bring Ranma back home.'' Akane said.

'' Let's all go. The more people, the more chances there are that Ranma will come back home.'' Ukyo said and everyone nodded in agreement.

After a 7 day trip Cologne, Mousse, Ryoga and Ranma arrived at a lake. It was foggy and here and there you could hear a frog croaking.

"Are we okay, Elder?" Ryoga asked.

"Yes, we're waiting now until we're picked up." Cologne said.

Mousse put down his backpack and sat down on a rock.

Ranma had been quiet during the trip. Ryoga had caught him smiling sometimes while he stared into space.

" Ranma, should we spar? Loosen up our muscles?" Ryoga asked and Ranma looked up.

" Yeah, that's a good idea." Ranma said while cracking his shoulders.

'' Let's see if you still have some spunk in you...'' Ryoga said and Ranma's arrogance came to the fore, at least, a small smirk appeared on his lips. Ryoga smiled back.

Cologne sat down next to Mousse to watch. ''Mousse, stay alert.''

Mousse nodded as he watched Ranma and Ryoga begin to spar.

Ryoga swung a roundhouse kick that Ranma parried and Ryoga met with an uppercut.

Ryoga blocked the uppercut, grabbed Ranma's wrist and flung him away.

Ranma did a double somersault to catch his fall and pushed off with his foot to attack Ryoga again with speed.

Ryoga braced himself and caught both of Ranma's fists and together they tested their strength.

Ranma jumped away from Ryoga and Ryoga took a dive forward with his index finger ready.

"Bakusai Tenketsu!" Ryoga shouted. Ranma maneuvered to the side and Ryoga's finger hit the ground, creating a crater.

Slowly a mist formed and Cologne began to feel around her.

They were there, if Cologne had counted correctly there were six of them.

Remarkable, because if Ranma was the real legend, more people would be coming.

'Elder, they're here...'' Mousse said as he kept an eye on Ranma and Ryoga.

''Anything Goes Martial Art: Tenryū no Tobigeri...!''

Cologne and Mousse looked at Ranma and saw him making a circular motion with his leg low on the ground, like a 360 degree roundhouse kick as Ryoga came at him.

Once close, Ranma lifted his leg and gave Ryoga a sideways kick to his chest filled with cold air energy.

Ryoga fell to his back and struggled to get up. " W-w-what was t-that technique?".

Before Ranma could even answer, an answer came from behind him.

"The legendary kick of Meng Zhang."

Tenryū no Tobigeri means Flying Kick of the Heavenly Dragon.

Took me some time to create a good name for a technique. I am really pleased with it.
