Sitch Across Worlds

-Chapter 9-

-Last Time-

{What can I say, shadow clones are awesome} The revealed real whiskered blonde said with a dramatic bow before motioning to his back. {Now come on, I wanna see if that arcade place you were talking about is as fun as it sounds}

{Don't mind if I do~} Larisa said in a sing-song tone, quickly clambering onto her fellow blonde's back without hesitation, waving a hand in the air with a playful whoop. {Giddyup cowboy, let's go for a ride~}

-And Now-

Inside the iconic Litwak's Arcade things were going rather slowly, seeing as it was a school day so most of the place's usual customers were lock-erm, learning at school. However, there were still a decent number of kids and teens milling about from game to game, those that'd skipped school, dropped out, were let out early, or other such reasons.

Most were lost in their own little worlds, gazes locked on the screen of whatever arcade machine they were using. Some were calm, carefully manipulating the controls with practiced ease, whilst others just furiously mashed buttons as fast as possible. A few cheered as they hit a high score but most just groaned as they got a game over before putting another token into the machine to play again.

Even more were winding down by the concession area, eating junk food as they reveled in their success or bemoaned their defeat.

However, many found themselves abandoning their games/food in favor of joining the growing crowd surrounding the Step-Step Convolution system.

Why? You may ask yourself, for the same reason any crowd forms.

[Perfect~! Perfect~! You are rocking it~!]

"Go! Go! Go!"

"Dude, that's the hardest two-person song on the game, how are they doing that?"

"Don't know, don't care, it is awesome!"

To watch the spectacle of course.

Naruto and Larisa were side by side on the dance platforms, moving in perfect sync with each-other as they… well danced. On the main screens arrows were all but flying across them, moving so fast that if you blinked, you'd miss them, all while a virtual girl danced between them while giving approving comments.

As one bystander pointed out, they were right in the middle of playing the hardest level of the game, one that nobody had ever managed to get a perfect score on. It was a level so infamous in fact that there was even a sign above stating that anyone who could beat it would win a grand prize, something that many had tried yet all had failed.

And yet here these two were absolutely nailing it, even with the screens practically overflowing with commands to hit the blonde duo didn't miss a single step. Not only that but neither of them seemed like they were even trying, bright grins on their faces as they effortlessly kept pace.

{Switch!} Larisa called, suddenly clasping hands with Naruto as they spun around, literally swapping dance pads and kept going seamlessly, much to the applause of their audience. Letting go, the pair bumped ass with a laugh and swayed side to side before going back to the pace of the game. {You learn fast Whiskers; to think just half an hour ago you didn't know your disco from your waltz!}

{What can I say, I'm just awesome like that!} The otherworldly boy said jokingly as he put on a faux haughty posture, making his fellow blonde burst into a laughing fit that quickly spread to him.

{I knew we were gonna have fun together! Maybe later we-Oh, hey final stretch!} Larisa cut herself off when the music amped up, becoming faster paced with a more distinctive dramatic edge. {Let's do this!}

{Yeah!} Sweat beaded on their brows, their gaze locked on the screen as they actually got serious. Excitement spiked as the score and completion bar rose higher and higher while the cheers grew from the crowd, their feet all but blurring across the arrows.

""""Go! Go! Go!""""

[Perfect~! You rock~!]

{Wanna give these folks a show?} Naruto asked Larisa with a smirk that she immediately shared.

"Hell yeah, let's do this!" So caught up in her excitement the Russian girl forgot to use Japanese, though her fellow blonde still got the message as they bumped fists before he grabbed her wrist. With a grunt he actually tossed her upwards before falling backwards himself, hitting the last few commands for both of them with his hands and feet. Meanwhile Larisa did a graceful twirl before landing on the whiskered boy's belly and taking a bow.

[That was FANTASTIC~! You two got a perfect score~!] The game announced as applause rang out throughout the entire arcade.

"Dude! That was AWESOME! This is gonna get so many views!" One guy exclaimed once he finished recording the whole thing on his phone before running off excitedly.

{Whew… that was fun,} Naruto said with a chuckle as Larisa hopped off of him, allowing the young man to get back up, his back cracking a little along the way. Rolling his shoulders until his neck cracked while his fellow blonde wiped the sweat off her brow, he tilted his head at the cheering crowd before chuckling again. {So, what did we win anyway? You said there was a prize for beating that dance.}

{Oh there is indeed~} Giggling excitedly, Larisa spun around towards a prize counter where a middle-aged man with greying brown hair was watching them with an awestruck look. "Hey Stan! I finally beat that level! You know what that means~!"

Snapping out of his stupor, the now named Stan smiled in amusement as he rolled his eyes good-heartedly.

"Yeah, yeah, a promise is a promise after all," Reaching beneath the counter as the blonde duo walked up to him, the man soon pulled out a pair of vouchers, oversized golden tokens, and rolls of tickets, all covered in dust. Setting them on the counter in two piles, he gently pushed one to each teen which they accepted. Naruto seemed a bit confused as he dusted his 'prize' off, not quite understanding what it was supposed to be, while Larisa eagerly swiped hers and stuffed everything but the voucher in her bag. "Free supreme party meals coupons, a couple super tokens, and fifty thousand tickets each. Enjoy, you two earned it, was really starting to think nobody would ever get the perfect score on that one."

"No kidding, it's hard enough to get a perfect score solo by yourself but on two player? Now that's a challenge alright," The svelte girl said, clapping Naruto on the back with a big grin. "So it was a good thing I was lucky enough to meet a fellow dance master like Naruto here."

"Now that is an understatement, you two were pretty amazing out there, craziest thing I've ever seen in all my years," Stan said while chuckling under his breath before bowing his head slightly to Naruto with an apologetic smile. "And pardon my manners, the name is Stan Litwak, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance young man."

{…What did he say?} Naruto asked Larisa who giggled softly while Stan blinked in confusion.

"He doesn't speak English yet," She told the man, getting him to nod in understanding, before she turned back to her fellow blond. {This is Stan Litwak, he owns this place and he's saying it's nice to meet you}

{Oh, well it's nice to meet you too sir, and thanks for allowing us to hang out here.} The whiskered teen said back, smiling brightly as he scratched the back of his head with a sheepish chuckle.

"'Anyway, I think we'll cash in that Supreme Meal," Larisa said as she placed her voucher back on the counter in front of the arcade owner. "All that dancing worked up one hell of an appeti-owie!"

"Mind the language young lady, there are children in this arcade," Stan scolded the girl after bopping her atop the head with a foam hammer, making her bite her tongue. Then, as she glowered at him half-heartedly, the old man pulled out a rubber stamp and smooshed it on top of the voucher, leaving a bright red imprint of his arcade's logo on it with "Redeemed" across the middle. "I'll let the cooks know if they haven't already figured it out, usual table I'm guessing?"

"You know it Stan," The playful teen said with a salute before dragging Naruto off to the concession area, specifically towards a solitary table at the back. {You stay here, I'll be right back with some drinks}

{Okay} The young ninja said with a shrug, taking a seat while watching his new friend rushing over to what he assumed was a machine to give out drinks. Maybe. He was still getting used to the difference in technology between his world and this one, so it was hard to tell. Sure, his world had things like TV, computers, instant food, and even phones but this place took it up to the tenth degree.

Cellphones that could reach anyone anywhere while still fitting in your pocket, planes that could carry people across the world via the sky, gadgets that could almost do the same as his jutsu. And that wasn't even counting the wackier gadgets he'd seen Kim's father and brothers working on, it was enough to make Naruto's head swim just trying to keep up with it all.

Fortunately this time his assumption was correct as he saw Larisa filling up several cups with something, soda if he recalled correctly. 'This certainly beats being at School again, hopefully Kim and Ann don't figure out that I-'

[Alert: The mom is calling! Alert: The mom is calling!]

{Oh crap…} Naruto muttered as he dug a cellphone out of his pocket, a basic orange flip phone with a little screen that showed 'Ann Possible' in Kanji. Sweat dripping from his brow a lot more than when he was dancing, the whiskered blonde cleared his throat nervously before flipping it open and holding it up to his ear. {Hey Ann-chan, whatcha-}

{Don't even try sweet talking me mister, you are in soooo much trouble,} The redheaded mother cut the boy off in a stern tone that made him freeze up. {I know you didn't like having to go to school but skipping out on your first day? I am very disappointed in you.}

{H-how did you…?}

{Oh I don't know, maybe something like a video of you and that Larisa girl grooving it up at Litwaks that's spreading all over social media.} Ann stated sarcastically, causing Naruto to tilt his head in confusion.

{What's social media?}

{Nevermind, the important thing is that you are in trouble, I-} Whatever else she was gonna say would be a mystery for Naruto thanks to his phone being swiped by Larisa as she set a dozen different cups on the table.

"Hey Mrs. P, sorry to interrupt but Naru and I are in the middle of something, so he'll have to call you back, Ciao," She said quickly, completely ignoring Ann shouting at her angrily until she snapped the phone shut, cutting the call. Turning it to silent mode, she tossed the device back to her fellow blonde before flopping into the seat beside him and draping an arm over his shoulders as she giggled. {Now then, where were we?}

{You know Ann-chan is gonna be even madder with us for that, right?} Naruto asked rhetorically, which just made Larisa laugh harder.

{Oh don't worry, I'll take the heat for that, I'm used to it anyway. Now… what other cool powers do you have~?}

-Meanwhile, Middleton High Cafeteria-

"Oh this cannot be good…" Kim barely resisted the urge to groan when her Kimmunicator buzzed and she pulled it out to find a long text from her mother, which only meant one thing.

She was mad, very VERY mad about something.

'So much for an uneventful day.' She thought, prodding at the sloppy joes on her tray as she debated if she should check the message or put it off for later. Deciding to just get it over with, she through skimmed the long text, her brow quickly rising up before she even got halfway through. 'She's mad at Naruto skipping school?'

Glancing at said blonde, who was just a few seats away animatedly chatting with Cloud and Sandra about something, swapping stories of misadventures from the few snippets she picked up, her brow rose even higher.

'What is mom talking about? Naruto's been here all day,' Focusing back on her gadget, her eyes flickered back and forth across the screen as she read more. 'Hanging out with Larisa? Okay I could see that but still, she ran off at first period. When would they have-'

One could almost hear a record scratching as Kim's eyes went wide in realization.

-Flashback-

"Oh, alrighty then you spoilsport," Hopping off Naruto's lap with a huff, the braided blonde made her way to the empty desk in a gratuitously slow manner, pouting the entire way… only to suddenly smirk as she held up her had to reveal a trio of tiny black spheres between her fingers. "Is smoking still banned in class too?"

*P-p-p-poof*

That was all the warning she gave before flinging the spheres to the ground, revealing them to be smoke pellets as they burst into thick clouds of smog that completely filled the room almost instantly and sending everyone into coughing fits.

-Flashback End-

'Oh god dammit.' This time Kim couldn't help but slam her face into the lunch table, causing everyone else to jump a little in surprise.

"Whoa, you okay Kim?" Sandra asked in concern, putting a hand on the redhead's shoulder when she just kept smacking her forehead on the hard plastic.

Instead of answering verbally though, Kim just grabbed a fork and flung it at Naruto, stabbing it right into the whiskered blonde's chest as he just blinked in confusion. A second later he vanished in a puff of smoke, the fork clattering onto his seat as everyone in the cafeteria went silent.

"What just happened?" A shocked and confused Monique demanded as she took a seat at the table, her head swiveling from where 'Naruto' was sitting and Kim and back again several times.

"It was a clone… Naruto ran off with Larisa and left a clone in his place," The world traveling heroine grumbled out, running a hand through her hair as she sat back up. "How did I miss that? It was so obvious."

"Uh… still very confused here." Her friend stated with Sandra nodding in agreement, however Cloud seemed to be putting the pieces together.

"Naruto said one of his abilities is that he can make clones of himself, I'm guessing that was one such clone," He said while picking up the utensil laying in the empty seat 'Naruto' had been sitting in, to which Kim just nodded. "That's impressive, I couldn't tell at all, how did you?"

"I didn't, mom did when she found the real him gaming it up with Larisa." She stated, showing them the text she'd gotten.

"Oooooh… now I get it, well at least we know where she got the smoke pellets from," Sandra said with a sigh. "So what now? Are you gonna go get him?"

"What would be the point? Litwaks is halfway across town, no way I could make it there and back before lunch was over, especially like this," Kim pointed out dryly, gesturing to her still battered appearance as she spoke with a dull look, earning a few sympathetic looks from her friends. Her point made, Kim grabbed swiped her fork from Cloud and stabbed it into her food, ripping off a large mouthful. "I'll deal with it after school, for now I just wanna sit back and eat my lunch in peace."

No sooner had she spoken did the intercom squeak to life with a loud buzz that got most of the students to instinctively look up.

[Kim Possible and Naruto Uzumaki to your Homeroom, Kim Possible and Naruto Uzumaki please report to your Homeroom immediately]

"…You have got to be kidding me…" Words alone could not describe the absolute 'done with this' look that spread across the redhead's face upon hearing her name called out. Fork held just centimeters from her lips, she was THIS tempted to just ignore whatever it was she was being paged for. But knowing that it'd probably only make things worse for her later Kim just sighed, quickly wolfed down what she could, and stood up. "I'll see you guys later, hopefully whatever this is about doesn't take too long."

"Good luck."

"Have fun."

"I wonder what it's about?" That last question, curtesy of Sandra, rang in the heroine's mind as she walked out of the cafeteria with an annoyed frown on her lips. She had a few ideas, the most likely of which was the teachers wanting to make sure that Naruto wasn't having any issues during his first day. If that was the case Kim was not looking forward to having to explain that the blonde wasn't actually there at all for the entire day, hence why he wasn't with her now either.

'This must be what people feel like when they have to explain that their dog literally ate their homework.' She thought with a wry giggle, mentally picturing a chibi Naruto with dog ears chewing on a stack of paper while a chibi version of herself smacked him with a newspaper. It was an amusing little thought that helped raise her mood, if only by a little bit, by the time she arrived at the door to her homeroom class.

Knocking on the door, she waited for a few moments for a response… only to end up frowning when she got nothing, prompting her to knock again.

….

"Hello?" She called out, knocking once more even louder this time, before grabbing the handle and opening the door for herself once she saw that it was unlocked. Stepping inside, her brow rose upon looking around and finding the classroom completely empty, no signs of anyone at all. "Hello? Anyone in here? Mr. Burkin?"

Once again Kim was met with silence, causing her to tense up as an uneasy feeling settled in her gut.

"I've got a bad feeling a-"

Cla-thwoom*

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaa!?" A startled yelp tore from the girl's lips when she tried to back out of the empty classroom only for the floor to suddenly opened underneath her. The next thing Kim knew she was falling down a long winding slide until it dropped her into a glass cylinder. Said cylinder then sealed itself before going down a tube, flying through dips, drops, loops, and hoops so fast the bottom caught on fire.

And then just as suddenly it all came to a screeching halt when the redhead came to an abrupt, yet surprisingly gentle, stop as the tube and case opened up.

"Well that was unpleasant," Kim groaned out as she stepped out, swaying slightly while her vision swam before quickly shaking it off. "Alright, who's the wise guy that…did… that?"

The battered heroine trailed off when her vision finally came back into focus and she found herself standing in a very high tech looking facility with a dozen or so men and women making their way along. Each one of them was adorn in the same uniform a navy-blue jumpsuit with black belt and boots, only differentiated by rank marks on their shoulders or ID tags on their chest. They were working at fancy computers that looked like they cost more than her house and everything inside combined, carrying around stacks of paperwork, patrolling with high tech weapons, and the rest she couldn't even guess.

Her first thought was naturally that she was in some kind of villain lair, it certainly fit more than a few of the common themes she'd seen throughout her career.

However, that thought was just as quickly stricken from her mind upon noticing some more important details.

Firstly, none of them were currently threatening or trying to detain her with any of the usual villainous mantras. Instead, they were just continuing about their business, barely even acknowledging her presence outside a few curious looks.

Secondly, and more important, were the logos on their uniforms shoulders, a shield with the letter GJ in the middle. And only one group she knew bore that logo…

"Kim Possible," A woman with short brown hair and an eyepatch stated as she walked right up to the redhead. "Welcome to Global Justice."
