The previous day, right after Endeavor's fight with High End, he along with Hawks, Peter, Johnny, Twilight, Logan, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Gohan were seen facing off against a League of Villains member, Dabi.

"Well, I wasn't expecting to find any of you here," Dabi said as he created a ring of fire around everyone.

"I know that guy," Peter said, glaring at the villain. "That's one of Shigaraki's guys!"

"The League of Villains member...Dabi," Endeavor said. "You killed Snatch! He was a good hero!"

"Snatch huh? Doesn't ring a bell," Dabi said. "Why don't we forget about him and have a friendly chat? Who knows when we'll get another chance."

Endeavor looked ready to fight, but he keeled over in pain, much to Hawks's worry. "You can't fight like this!"

"I got this..." Peter said as he walked over to the villain. "I think I can reason with him."

"Oh, Spider-Man, I'm almost surprised to see you here," Dabi said. "I'd love to chat with you as well, but I'd rather keep things between Endeavor and myself if you don't mind."

"Not happening," Peter said as he marched over. "You've got a lot of nerve showing up, dude. But it's fine. Once I take you in, maybe you'll be a lot more cooperative than your buddy Kurogiri."

"I'd play nice dude! You're clearly outnumbered!" Johnny warned as he generated some fire. "Also, don't even think that you could out do me in power. Your fire might as well be a candle in front of the sun!"

"I'm no fool, Human Torch, I know my fire can't hurt you," Dabi said as he pulled out a radio. "But, all I have to do is radio a good friend of mine. Within moments, this city you worked so hard to save could cave in with an Earthquake."

"Avalanche must be nearby," Fluttershy said, then turned her attention to her husband. "Logan, can you sniff him out?"

"It's a bit tricky to do with this fire around me, but I think I can manage," Logan said.

"I'm try to find his energy," Gohan said.

"Or you can take Dabi out yourself dude," Rainbow Dash said. "You're super strong, remember!?"

"Not yet!" Peter said. "Let me try something first!"

"Wow, you're really keen on this conversation, aren't you Spidey?" Dabi taunted.

"Dabi, don't do anything stupid," Peter said. "I don't know why you or Shigaraki are doing this. Quite honestly, I'm worried about your friend Himiko too. You guys seem so young, you don't have to throw your lives away to villainy!"

"Funny that you say that. You wanna know something interesting, Spider-Man?" Dabi rhetorically asked. "Ever since Albert Wesker showed up, he's been opening a lot of potential partnerships between Shigaraki and some new recruits. Now personally, I don't care for Wesker, to me he's a deluded man who thinks he's God. But I can't deny that he's been getting us some good business."

"Save it for the interrogation room, buddy!" Johnny warned.

"People from all over may want to join us soon. If we continue to prove ourselves, and we will..." Dabi said. "We may get some new allies. Including some girls you might know."

Peter stopped dead in his tracks, glaring hard at Dabi, "What girls?"

"You'll find out in time, Peter," Dabi taunted with a wide-mouth grin.

In a flash, Peter had Dabi by the shirt, glaring deep into the sadistic eyes of this young villain, "You...do NOT want to tempt me here!"

"Careful..." Dabi said as he held his radio. "Or did you already forget my warning?"

While keeping Peter distracted with the radio, Dabi took the opportunity to blast Peter back with his other hand, barely doing any damage, and only further serving to upset Peter.

"This is silly, I merely wanted to retrieve my fallen Nomu," Dabi taunted as he generated some power. "Perhaps this town is dead anyway, but not before I kill the top two heroes with my own fire!"

Before anything could happen, Mirko had arrived on the scene and kicked the ground hard, stumbling Dabi back and causing him to drop his radio. Using the last of his strength, Endeavor fired a blast to destroy it before nearly blacking out.

"Stay with us, Endeavor!" Logan urged.

"Mirko! We're so glad you're here!" Rainbow Dash said. "But how did you know about Dabi!?"

"I saw the news and hopped over!" Mirko explained before turning to Dabi. "Hey Patchwork, you're from the League, right? I'll kick your butt!"

"Damn...so much for having fun," Dabi said and turned to a hidden one-way radio. "Do it Uchiko."

Within moments, Dabi was teleported away via some black tar coming out of his mouth.

"For now, Number One, I'm sure we'll have our Heart to Heart someday. Until then, try not to disappoint," Dabi said, the villain losing his calm demeanor with a threat to the Number One. "And don't you dare get killed! Enji Todoroki!'

"You're not leaving!" Johnny blasted Dabi, but it was too late. The villain had disappeared with no trace. "Peter! I don't suppose you placed a tracker on the guy!?"

"Shit...I didn't!" Peter grabbed his head in frustration. "He got me so freaked out about something that I completely forgot!"

"Don't beat yourself up over it, any one of us should have caught him!" Johnny grumbled in annoyance. "Seriously, there was a whole group! Why didn't anyone else do something?"

"Peter wanted to get some information out of him," Fluttershy reminded. "It was worth a try, this city didn't need any more fighting, especially with Avalanche potentially nearby."

"I don't sense him at all," Gohan said.

"I can't sniff him out," Logan said. "Either Dabi was lying, or whatever teleported him got Avalanche too."

"The way he vanished," Peter recalled seeing it before. "It looked just like what happened in Kamino."

"Well, thanks for coming Mirko," Twilight said. "It would have been great to actually see you fight though."

"You'll get your chance," Mirko said. She then turned to Peter, the hero still looking disturbed. "Hey, are you alright?"

"I'm fine..." Peter insisted. He turned his attention to the hero. "Hey, to echo my wife, I'm really glad you showed up. Things are about to get really dangerous soon, and it looks like you're willing to help look into The League of Villains."

"Got that right," Mirko said. "Just like you."

"This is shaping up to be a big threat," Peter said. "We're going to need to work together. I don't suppose you want to form an alliance with us?"

"Well...I'm normally not one for teams," Mirko said.

"I get that, I'm the same way most of the time," Peter said.

"But...I don't mind lending a hand however I can," Mirko said. "Helps that I've always thought you were cool, Spider-Man. You seem like one of those heroes that really get it. How many guys like you can specialize both Street Level Crime and Avengers Level Threats? You remind me so much of All Might in that regard."

"I appreciate that," Peter pulled out a communicator and handed it to Mirko. "You don't need to attend any meetings, but if I need you for something important, I'm hoping that I can rely on you."

"I'll do my best," Mirko said.

"That's all I can ask for," Peter said, then turned toward Endeavor. "Looks like we're going to need to get this big guy to a hospital."

"Yeah, and celebrate his big win," Hawks said.

"Pfft, big win..." Endeavor dismissed. "This was only the beginning."

"After what we heard, yeah no doubt," Peter said.

"By the way Spider-Man," Endeavor said. "Your run-ins with Albert Wesker as of late, how badly would you say things might turn out? What does he want?"

"He wants to be a God, in any way he can," Peter said. "Wesker's been doing a lot of nefarious things lately. Fortunately we have the likes of Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine and Leon Kennedy helping us out."

"Any chance those alien girls I heard about can help?" Hawks asked. "Not just Starfire, but that pink one."

"You mean Amy Rose?" Peter asked. "Honestly, Mobius has had its own troubles, and if we're not careful, those troubles will be ours."

"It's nothing we can't handle," Johnny said.

Hawks scoffed upon hearing what he was told, "You guys always seem to have a lot on your plate. It kind of puts other heroes to shame."

"They can help too," Johnny said. "Better that than spread rumors about us 'stealing their jobs' or some dumb shit like that."

"Yeah, don't worry, I got your back," Hawks said. He glanced back at the older flame hero, and saw his continued bad shape. "Anyway, we should get Endeavor patched up."

"An ambulance should be on its way," Fluttershy said. "Afterwards, we need to stay on this. We can't just leave Dabi unattended, same with his friends."

"I should be able to find him," Logan said as he sniffed briefly. "Fire gives off one powerful scent."

"Fire..." Endeavor thought to himself as we flash forward to him in a hospital bed, thinking over what happened, and considering the future of what's to come.

As Endeavor recovered, Peter and his friends had gone back to their own investigations.

Meanwhile Hawks had met up with Dabi in a warehouse, the hero aiming his feather near the villain's neck. "That wasn't how you said things would play out."

"Oh, is that a fact?" Dabi taunted.

"I'd prefer it if you and I got along better, Dabi," Hawks said.

The nearby Avalanche looked like he was ready to take action, but Dabi gestured for him to not do anything yet as he kept his attention on Hawks. "I figured you'd only have small feathers after that last battle."

"If I'm going to meet a liar in a secret location, I'm not coming unarmed," Hawks warned. "The fight was supposed to go down in a warehouse tomorrow. Instead, you released a Nomu in the middle of a city, one on a totally different level than the others we faced. If we're going to trust each other, you need to keep me up to date."

"Call it a sudden change of heart, but I did warn you that I wanted to test that Nomu's power in the field," Dabi said. "Besides, you're at fault here too. You said you'd bring a random pro along, I didn't expect to see the Number One Hero. Not to mention you didn't have one pro, you had three. The Human Torch and his loudmouth wife were there too."

"The Human Torch and Rainbow Dash weren't expected, they just happened to show up because they caught wind of your plan," Hawks said. "You really should be more careful about how you go about business. Where the Human Torch is, Spider-Man isn't too far away."

"I suppose I can't fault you for the Overseas Pros," Dabi said. "But you still willingly brought Endeavor. Do you consider that fair?"

"Your Nomu gave Endeavor some pretty bad injuries," Hawks said. "I expected you to be thrilled about your Nomu's intense workout. Still, I did what you asked, the only one who broke their word here was you."

"You got one hell of a mouth there, buddy," Avalanche said. "Remember, you're at our mercy, not the other way around."

"It's fine Dom, don't let him get to you," Dabi said as he moved Hawks's feather away. "Of course, you're not wrong. But I needed to test our pet pro here to see if he can trust his word. You did save a few bystanders yourself. You came to us, you sympathized with our cause yet you fought so hard today."

"If I didn't, the hero community would lose faith in me and I wouldn't be able to help you," Hawks said. "Besides, I had other pros there that would have gotten suspicious if I did nothing. What I did today earned their trust, and considering that they're after Shigaraki, you need me to get on their good side if you want me to be able to help you."

"That's all well and good, but don't let your poor habits derail your true loyalty," Dom warned.

"Hey, at least I'm capable of thinking long term," Hawks said as Dabi began to leave. "Everything I do is for The League and The Brotherhood. Got it?"

"Sure, but a few nice words won't let you see the boss just yet," Dabi said as he and Avalanche began to leave. "I'll be in touch, partner."

Hawks stood there in disbelief as more thoughts ran through his head, including a fateful mission he was assigned.

"We need you to infiltrate the League of Villains," The Hero Director said.

"Huh? Wait, don't you have a search team for that one?" Hawks asked. "Like Gran Torino and the others?"

"Where'd you hear about that?" The Director asked.

"We need you Hawks, you just proved how good you are at finding things out," Madame President said.

"At Kamino, due to the kidnapping incident, we had to rush things to keep everyone as safe as possible," The Director said. "This is our second chance, if we don't utilize it, we'll just keep repeating the same mistakes."

"Let's say that I do, should I just sit back and ignore the harm they cause?" Hawks asked.

"We're asking you because we believe you can ignore it," The Director said, much to Hawks's irritation. "You're indifferent to fame, and you're very goal oriented. There may not be anyone more suitable than you."

Hawks flashed back to the present, having just arrived in the hospital to check on Endeavor, guilt running through his mind, knowing he was part of the reason for this man's injuries.

"I'm really sorry about this, Endeavor."

Outside, Dabi was near a pier with Avalanche by his side, the latter looking impatiently at the time.

"Dabi, we gotta head back now, Shigaraki will be waiting," Avalanche said.

"Sorry, I was trying to remember someone," Dabi said. "Endeavor said I killed someone named Snatch."

"Snatch?" Avalanche took a moment to think. "Ain't that the guy with the sand powers? You offed him when the team went after Chisaki."

"He asked me an interesting question," Dabi said. "You know about what I did prior to joining the League, right?"

"Yeah, you burned a bunch of people," Avalanche said. "Got a head start on your little crusade."

"You've caused death and destruction, has anyone ever asked you about the families of people who died because of you?" Dabi asked.

"Anyone I killed probably deserved it," Avalanche said. "I don't think much about it."

"Funny, I do..." Dabi said as he began bleeding from his burned skin, much to Avalanche's discomfort. "I've done it so much, it's driven me insane."

Avalanche wasn't sure what Dabi was going through, but he had an idea. Something about Dabi reminded him of another. "Try not to let it get to you, otherwise you'll end up as crazy as Wanda."

"Hm?" Dabi turned to the man. "Wanda...you mean Magneto's daughter. The Scarlet Witch. You mentioned working with her, but you always seemed too reluctant to talk that much about it."

"For good reason," Avalanche said. "I wouldn't suggest working with someone like that. That girl's mental instability can be worse than what you and Himiko have."

"Tch, comparing me to Toga?" Dabi asked. "I may be insane, but that girl is on another level."

"And Wanda is beyond that," Avalanche said. "Let's focus on destroying the heroes' reputation for now, and forget about Wanda. Now, are you absolutely sure you can trust Hawks?"

"I haven't fully decided," Dabi said. "He's valuable but I'm aware of the risk."

"At least you're handling it better than Jin did," Avalanche said. "John and Shigaraki were not too happy about that."

"Chisaki was never really a big worry for me, if I were Shigaraki, I'd keep my eye on Wesker," Dabi said.

"We're all doing that," Avalanche said. "Anyway, let's head off. We should report this to Shigaraki. I hope you have a decent replacement for that Nomu."

"As do I, Dom," Dabi said as he walked off with his teammate.

A couple of days later, Endeavor and Hawks were seen walking through the streets, outside of their hero gear and more as civilians.

"At least you only had to stay in the hospital for two days," Hawks said. "Also, your left eye is still working. Which is honestly surprising.

Endeavor merely grunted in response, making Hawks feel a bit awkward about the situation.

"I'm sorry, this is my fault after all," Hawks said.

"Don't flatter yourself," Endeavor said. "My injuries are my own responsibilities."

"Damn man, can I use that line when I get the crap beat out of me?" Hawks asked.

"Focus on what's important," Endeavor said. "That Nomu came straight for us, as if it knew where we were. The exact moment we were talking about it. A very off coincidence."

"Hey, two Top Heroes walking around in Broad Daylight, plus the fact that The Human Torch and his wife were with us," Hawks said. "In the end, we just drew too much attention."

"Perhaps," Endeavor said.

Despite his outward calm demeanor, Hawks grew concerned about Endeavor's questioning, "No more questions. I made a scene on the streets to make this flimsy excuse. Torch and Dash showing up was just pure convenience."

The two walked up some stairs toward a train station as Hawks continued to speak.

"It's also possible that the Nomu rumors themselves are being used as bait to catch heroes," Hawks said. "It might help if we contacted Spider-Man since he and his buddies are after The League."

"You should be more careful," Endeavor said. "If you're going to investigate this, you will need backup. So I do hope you take that Spider-Man comment seriously."

"...Aw, you're so worried you want me to have bodyguards," Hawks teased. "Don't be shy, there's plenty of room for you on Team Hawks."

"I'll incinerate you!" Endeavor warned.

Brushing it off, Hawks began speaking more, "Once my feathers grow back, I can go on patrol again. It will probably take another day or so, can't wait."

Endeavor moved some luggage through a turntable.

"So, you taking some time off yourself big guy?" Hawks asked.

"Possibly," Endeavor said.

"Okay, catch you later then," Hawks said as Endeavor waved good-bye.

Hawks's smile began to fade as he remembered the situation he was in, one that he's been in since he was a little boy. His first act as a hero coming from a very tender young age as men in suits implored his family to let them help the young Keigo Takami become a hero in life.

"Guess I gotta keep up this charade for a while," Hawks thought to himself. "How different would things be if I did make it to Kamino that day?"

"Well ain't this a surprise," Came a voice from behind him.

Hawks turned around to face a hero legend, "If it isn't Wolverine. What brings you to this humble train station?"

"The wife needed to make a stop at the little girl's room," Logan said. "Good thing Japan keeps their public restrooms cleaner than most places in the world, otherwise I don't think she'd consider the idea. Especially after seeing a New York City restroom."

"Oof, that is not something I look forward to," Hawks said.

"Anyway, looks like Endeavor's back on his feet," Logan said. "That Nomu fight must have really taken a lot out of him."

"It wasn't an easy win, that's for sure," Hawks said. "But he pulled it off. Hopefully that should reassure the public that he's well suited to being Number One."

"Well it's gonna take a while," Logan said. "He's good, but he's no All Might. People aren't ready for that type of change. Could be months, or even years before anything changes with the grand public."

"I think he's aware of that," Hawks said. "So um, how's Spidey been doing? I heard he's been working triple time or something."

"He's already been working extra to make up for the lack of All Might," Logan said. "With Endeavor down, he's been trying to cover for him as well. We got him to lighten up though."

"Well respect to Spider-Man for being diligent," Hawks said. "Endeavor and I were just talking, and once we're completely healed up, we'd like to help Spidey out."

"That's good," Logan said. "We're already building some connections with Mirko and The Lurkers. Right now we're looking into that Dabi fellow."

"Yeah, quite the mystery that one is," Hawks said. "He seemed to know Endeavor on a personal level, given how casually he spoke his real name."

"It's hard to say, heroes don't really have secret identities these days," Logan said. "But when a villain calls you by yer real name rather than yer hero name, that may raise some cause for suspicion. That's something I know from experience."

"Logan!" Fluttershy ran over. "I'm all done...oh, hello Hawks."

"Ma'am," Hawks said with a quick bow.

"My, how elegant," Flutterhsy said. "Were you two talking about anything important?"

"I'm just reminding Wolverine here about my offer to help him and Spider-Man with The League of Villains," Hawks said.

"That's good to hear," Fluttershy said. "So many great things can happen when we work together."

"Got that right," Logan said, then waved good-bye to Hawks. "Well, I'll be seeing you kid. Keep up the good work. Japan's lucky to have a guy like you."

"You flatter me," Hawks said. "And try to make sure Spidey doesn't overwork himself. He's got kids right? He should be spending more time with them."

"That is the goal," Logan said as he left with Fluttershy. "We'd all love to spend more time with our families, but work comes first sometimes."

"Yeah..." Hawks thought this over, and remembered his original goal. "A world where heroes have way too much free time on their hands. That's my goal. Spider-Man, you're just one more reason I need to fulfil that plan. But, not the only one."

Meanwhile at UA, Principal Nezu was seen reading some files when he got a knock on his door. "You may enter."

The door opened to reveal Midnight, "Sir, she's here."

"She?" Upon seeing the girl on the other side, Nezu recalled what he had planned. "Oh that's right, you're the girl from overseas who came here for Hero Training. I must say, it's quite admirable that you are so willing to pursue a heroic path that you willingly traveled to our humble little country."

"Even I'm amazed, I wonder how Spider-Man will feel upon seeing this girl?" Midnight asked.

"If I know Spider-Man, he will be very understanding, and very encouraging," Nezu said. "He's always been willing to give others a chance, if those people choose to do the right thing. Now come take a seat, Miss Dillion."

"Don't be so formal," Allison said as she sat down. "Just call me Allison. Or...Ally."

"Of course, whatever makes you comfortable," Nezu said. "Now, let's talk about your future."

Later Endeavor had come home during family dinner. Fuyumi and Natsuo were not the only ones present, as Shoto had come by to visit as well.

"Dad! Welcome home!" Fuyumi greeted.

"Yeah, it's been a while," Endeavor said, before turning to his youngest child. "This is quite a surprise."

"Yeah, Shoto got permission to leave his campus for dinner," Fuyumi said. "I asked his teach to come in and join us, but he declined."

Outside, Aizawa was seen attempting to calm a cat that had been screeching at him, all the while hoping things were going well inside with the Todoroki family.

"Anyway, I bet you're really excited to celebrate your big win against that monster, right dad?" Fuyumi asked, not really earning an immediate response.

"That's a bad scar you have," Shoto pointed out. "It looks painful."

Natsuo had no reaction himself, only glaring at his father, the tension getting bad as neither Todoroki son looked happy to see their father.

"Hey you two, you promised you'd be happy!" Fuyumi urged. "Dad's finally thinking about his family after all this time! At least pretend that you don't hate him!"

"I'm standing right here," Endeavor pointed out.

"Yeah, sorry sis, but I'm out," Natsuo said as he stood up. "I can't do this."

"Wait!" Fuyumi urged.

As Natsuo was about to leave, Endeavor was quick to stop him with a hand on his shoulder, "Natsuo, if you have something to say, then talk."

"Oh please, that's rich coming from you," Natsuo said as he knocked his father's hand away. "Okay then. I found out today that Shoto likes soba! I didn't know anything about my brother because you didn't want anything to do with us failures!"

"Ignore them Shoto, you're in a different league than the others." Those were the words that Shoto remembered his father saying in his youth.

"Somehow mom expects us to forgive you for how you treated us!" Natsu glared at his father. "But as far as I'm concerned, you're still the maniac bastard who ruined our family! You may look different, but you don't act that way! You neglected us! Number One Hero or not, it won't erase the past! Mom's screams! Shoto's crying! Touya's fate! You can claim to have a change of heart, but walking in here and expecting us to accept you!? How disgusting can you be!?"

"...I plan to be your father, and atone for what I've done," Endeavor said.

"IT'S TOO LATE!" Natsuo shouted, then turned to Fuyumi. "Thanks for the food sis, but I gotta go."

"Natsu!" Fuyumi called, unfortunately her brother did not want to hear it. "Great, that didn't go well." The girl began lamenting the situation. "Shoto's been visiting mom on a regular basis. Dad's been compromising and making an effort. Mom's even been acting more cheerful. I just hoped we could be a real family for once." The girl ran by her little brother's side as she continued to lament. "I was just looking forward to it so much! Weren't you, Shoto!?"

"...Come to think of it, that's the first time I've seen Natsu show that much emotion," Shoto said.

"Huh?" Fuyumi asked. She then heard a news report on TV.

"Two days after the fight, public opinion about the Number One Hero began to grow rapidly," A news lady said before going to some people on the streets.

"Is he really okay? He was covered in blood by the end," a woman said.

"I'm surprised he didn't arrest anyone from the league," another man said.

"Why was he struggling so hard against a Nomu? He should have just let Spider-Man handle it." A third man said.

"Turn that off!" Fuyumi demanded.

"Wait, hold on," Shoto said as another person came on screen.

"Do you know what he's doing right now!? Endeavor's risking his life for our sake!" Came the voice of Hiroshi. "Look at him!"

The video then cut to others praising Endeavor.

"I used to be a huge fan of Edgeshot, but Endeavor's totally my top hero after that!" A triclops fan said.

"Between Endeavor and The Human Torch, it was a good to see representation for fire types," a flame quirk user said.

"I can't forget that boy's passion," a girl said.

"The child now known by the nickname, 'Look Boy', struck a chord during the fight," the news reporter said.

"That's the boy from the streets," Endeavor recalled.

"Even overseas hero Spider-Man had these comments about Endeavor," the lady said.

"I don't care what rank he is, all that matters is that he does his job! He just needs to prove himself reliable, and I'd say he's off to a good start. You don't need to worry because Endeavor will be there to save everyone!"

"Ironic words coming from a hero that many in Japan are clamoring to be the True Number One," The reporter said. "In spite of his own setbacks at Kamino Ward, Spider-Man gained major public approval by not only showing up for hero work the following day, but looking stronger than ever. His big contribution in the Hassaikai Raid assisted in his popularity, a task many believed Endeavor should have prioritized as well."

"Somehow I think I missed that," Fuyumi said. "Still, it sounds like Spider-Man has faith in dad at least. Isn't that great Shoto?"

"Perhaps...or maybe he's just too trusting," Shoto said. "Endeavor as the Top Hero was amazing. But, that's not who's standing here. I have to agree with what Natsu said. I still can't forgive you for what you did to mom. That's my choice to make. As for being my father...I'll have to watch your actions to see if you earn that. Because I know something small can change a person, if that person allows it."

Fuyumi looked thrilled to know that her brother was still open minded enough to consider forgiveness.

Endeavor however still had mixed emotions, not just about Shoto, but his current situation in general. "I didn't become Number One how I wanted. My Hero work is tainted in shame. What is my power even for? When All Might asked me why I wanted strength, only one thing came to mind. I must guarantee the future for my kids. But, I have failed with my own family. How can I demand forgiveness after so long?"

Just as Endeavor was leaving, Fuyumi called out to her father, "Dad, you haven't eaten yet."

"I want you to know..." Endeavor began. "I'm sorry for everything. And I should have handled that conversation with Natsuo differently."

Shoto looked on with both curiosity and slight suspicion while Fuyumi had a bit more hope in her eyes.

Outside, Endeavor approached his second born son, with the intention of making things right. "Even if it is too late, I'll try to make amends. It's my only path forward."

Back in the UA Dorms, a large ruckus was heard outside as Izuku was seen laying in a crater, looking a little worse for wear.

"Uh..." Came the voice of his current trainer, Son Goku. "Did I take it too far?"

"GOKU!" Twilight marched over to yell at the Saiyan. "Haven't I told you to be careful when training Izuku!?"

"Hey he wants me to help him get stronger! So I'm doing what I can!" Goku insisted.

"You need to take it easy! He's only a kid!" Twilight said.

"Gohan went through rough training at that age," Goku said.

"Gohan is Half-Saiyan!" Twilight said.

"And Izuku's really strong!" Goku insisted.

"He's still not at your level!" Twilight said. "Besides, All Might asked you to teach Izuku about control! Not to spar with him!"

"He's learning control to fight better, I was testing his strength out!" Goku said.

"You could still stand to hold back some!" Twilight said.

"I am holding back!" Goku insisted.

While the two squabbled, Peter had returned to Campus after his patrol, paying little mind to the bickering as he assisted Izuku back onto his feet. "There you go."

"Thanks," Izuku said as he shook his head. "Man, training with Goku is tough."

"Yeah, he's very eager as a teacher," Peter said. "Hopefully he dials it back."

"I'm fine with it, I need to get stronger after all," Izuku said as he rubbed his arms. "Still, it's a lot to handle."

"You should go get some rest," Peter said. "Training means nothing if you don't let your body recover."

"Yeah, you're right," Izuku said. He then noticed something concerning regarding Peter. His eyes looked a little bloodshot. "Hey, Peter, maybe you should get some sleep too."

"Don't worry about me," Peter said. "Remember what I said? New York guys like me are nocturnal. I can get by."

"If you're sure..." Izuku said.

"Sometimes being a hero means putting in long hours," Peter said. "It's worth it though, because it keeps people safe. You'll understand soon, but right now, you really need sleep more than I do."

"Okay..." Izuku said as he stumbled into the building.

Despite the advice he just gave, Peter did feel a bit woozy as he shook his head, "Come to think of it, when did I last sleep? I guess I can lay down for a few minutes. After I check on Eri of course. And make sure Benjy ate. Oh, I should check on Ochako's progress, and see if Mayday needs helps with her homework..."

Meanwhile Izuku had stumbled toward his room and into bed, completely taking Peter's advice to sleep, and it did Izuku some good. He was out like a light within moments, but that's when something strange began to happen.

Izuku found himself in a weird location, surrounded by a strange cloud that covered everything except his eyes. Looking next to him, he saw a woman with a fierce expression on her face.

"Wow...she's beautiful," Izuku thought to himself. He then saw a few other people next to her. "Who are they though?" One however looked very familiar to him, and it reminded Izuku of a vision he had at the Sports Festival during his fight with Flurry Heart. "I've seen them before...are they the previous vestiges of One for All?" He tried moving but was unable to, "I can't move! Or talk! What's happening?" He looked next to him again, seeing two figures that were further away, "Who are those last two guys? I trust they also held One for All. I see seven people right now, and including me, One for All has been held by nine people. But one's missing."

"Stand at my side," Came a voice. He turned and came into view of one man on the ground, and another standing tall. "You foolish little brother, why must you resist me?"

"That voice..." Izuku realized. "I'll never forget that voice. It's, All for One!"

"Because what you're doing is wrong!" Another said. "I refuse to stand by and let you corrupt everything around us!"

"All for One called him a little brother..." Izuku realized. "Is he the first wielder?"

"What a callous thing to say," All for One taunted. "I just want to compromise. But I suppose that tolerance is not part of your rigid sense of justice."

"The world is falling apart right now, it's in total chaos!" The little brother said. "But meta powers should never be used for selfishness! You're only concerned with fulfilling your own desires!"

"Neither of them have noticed me..." Izuku realized. "Is this a reenactment of the past?"

"Come..." All for One summoned two men. He specifically pointed to one with a crocodile-like face. "This man's jaw has transformed. Those wretched fangs won't stop growing. He's a kindhearted man who cares for his elderly parents. But he was persecuted. He was called a monster. Even his own parents wanted nothing to do with him." He then gestured to a quirkless person. "This man has no abilities. On his way home, he was attacked by a gang of meta humans. His stun gun was useless, and an assailant's tentacle hair held him down while he was beaten."

It didn't take the little brother long to realize what his sadistic sibling was doing, "Please don't! There's no turning back!" He stepped forward to stop All for One, but was too weakly and sick to do anything.

At the request of the men, All for One utilized his abilities. He took the jaw quirk away from one man, and gave a super power to the other, allowing him to grow spike like vines.

"If I'm ever in need, will you lend me your aid?" All for One asked.

"Yes, of course I will..." The formerly jawed man said as he happily touched his face. "I can finally go home now!"

"I'll help too," the formerly quirkless man said. "I'm forever in your debt after this gift!"

"Now, is this really chaotic, little brother?" All for One asked. "I saw two people in need and helped them both out of the kindness of my heart."

"Do you take me for a fool?" The Little Brother asked. "You didn't do this out of kindness! You just wanted them in your debt!"

"I do need people I can trust and depend on," All for One said. "But for someone who's all about righteousness, why do you ignore the joy my power brings to others? The concept of humanity is broken in this world. My powers can restore a sense of order. So, who's the one indulging himself in self-interest then?"

"What kind of order lets you take advantage of people!?" The little brother shouted. "Do you even remember or care about the innocents you've toyed with!? Before you abandoned them!?"

He lunged to attack once more, but a masked assailant pinned the little brother down, "You'll lose your tongue before you insult him again!"

"Ah-ah, do be careful, my little brother has a weak constitution," All for One said in a slightly condescending tone. "Poor thing. Born without any meta abilities. Without power, you can't achieve anything. You're a pitiful hypocrite, but I still love you. You should know that. After all, you're my only family. If will give you everything you want, if you agree to join me. You can give choice to those without power, and mercy to those who've seen it."

A flash occurred and suddenly, Izuku saw the little brother in what appeared to be an empty room as All for One went to check on him.

"You stopped eating again, you're disintegrating into nothing," All for One said.

"Brother..." The little brother coughed a bit before continuing. "I refuse to become the man you want me to be."

"But you should have been there!" All for One said, a hint of excitement in his voice. "You should have seen them fall! All of them! They let their powers go to waste. They formed factions and rose against me! That's why they needed to be killed. But I was not the one who slayed them. My adoring public acted on my behalf to smite the wicked. I couldn't be more thrilled. The suggestion of desire and people act for it. Fantasy come to life! It's like the world from the comic we read together at a young age."

"Except you gave up and only read through volume three, you missed the end!" The Little Brother said. "The Demon King ruled that fictional land. But the Hero of Justice, despite his struggles, managed to find victory and save the world! Don't you get it? The villain always loses in the end!"

All for One then grabbed the little brother by the face, "Dreams have become reality. And reality doesn't follow stock plots. It's time you bend to my cause. I'll rewrite your story as well. Because you are dear to me brother."

"Let me go!" The little brother shouted.

"I found a meta power for you, one that even your frail body can use," All for One said. "You will join me."

"Please brother!" The younger brother shouted just as Izuku was thrusted into a white void.

"Huh?" Izuku looked around. "Where am I now?"

"You're the Nineth Wielder, right?" Came a voice. Izuku turned to see the little brother walking toward him. "Sorry, I wanted to show you more. You're barely using twenty percent of the power, yet. Be careful, we're long past the singularity point." Izuku reached out to the brother as he did the same. "Don't be afraid, you are not alone."

Suddenly Izuku woke up to the sound of shattering glass. It was by his own power that the glass broke as he woke up in a sweat while nervously panting.

"What...was that?" Izuku asked.

Seconds later, Mayday had barged into the room, "Izuku!?"

"Huh?" Izuku turned around to face the girl. "Mayday?"

"Hey, what just happened!?" Mayday looked around the room. "How'd the glass break!?"

"I don't know..." Izuku said. "That's got to be the second time she came rushing to my room like this. How does she react this quickly?"

Mayday looked out the window, making sure no harm was done, "I don't see anyone out here. But now your window is broken. You shouldn't have a broken window like this in the winter, you might get sick."

"I'll be fine..." Izuku said as he wiped some sweat from his head.

Mayday noticed his despair, the girl figuring that the broken window may be the least of Izuku's troubles, "Hey, are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine..." Izuku said. "I just had a weird dream, that's all."

"Are you stressed out about something?" Mayday asked.

"I don't...know..." Izuku admitted.

Feeling worried, Mayday sat next to the boy and took his hand in hers, "You can talk to me about it if you'd like."

"I don't want to keep you up," Izuku said.

"Hey, I won't be able to sleep knowing that something's bothering you," Mayday said. "You can trust me Izuku. Now, what's going on?"

"...Alright, I'll try to explain it the best way I can," Izuku said. "For context, it began when I saw some weird vision at the Sports Festival..."
