Fighting for the Drifting Escape Pod
Dita is walking through the hallway while singing a happy tone that she is having a wonderful day or at least trying to make herself have a wonderful as she still thinks about the nightmare from last night that really spooked her.
"Oh, hey Ruby, what are you doing?" Dita greeted her friend.
"Hey Dita, just heading to the weapons room to check on the weapons. And maybe think of something new for my combo with Jaune." Ruby answered.
"Do you have something for me and Hibiki?" Dita asked.
"No, at least not yet. But I can try thinking of something." Ruby shook her head.
"Maybe we can hang out together, to keep our minds off from certain things like that strange red nightmare we had and maybe play together." Dita suggested with her friendly smile.
"Sure, we haven't done that in a while. It'd be nice to have my best friend with me to help cheer up the mood." Ruby nodded as they walk together.
(Nirvana's Bridge)
Amarone is checking on the monitor of her screen seeing there isn't anything unusual nor any dangerous enemies coming at Nirvana, so that's a good thing though she knew that she can't relax just yet as they might pop up at any moment.
Then something just showed up on the radar of the ship that she immediately notices and recognize the kind of signal which surprises her and informs the commanders.
"Commanders, I've just picked up a rescue signal." Amarone informed.
"What type?" BC asked.
"It's not from the Earth's fleet. It's a different frequency. It's coming from an escape pod, but that signal hasn't been used since the frontier era." Amarone explained.
"A signal from the days our people explored in space before settling down on the two planets. This could be from some people who got separated from the group years ago and somehow has found their way to us." Glynda theorized.
"Captain, perhaps we should bring this escape pod in to see what this is all about." Glynda suggested.
"Very well, I was thinking of something similar." Mango nodded.
"Parfet." Mango called the Engine Room.
"Captain." Parfet answered the call.
"How's the Paeksys doing?" Mango asked.
"Staying alive somehow." Parfet answered while still trying to solve the problem with the energy source of the ship.
"Carry on." Mango said before hanging up and then calling Bart.
"You there? Break time is over." Mango ordered for Bart to come take control of the ship now.
"Aye aye, captain." Bart sighed.
"Now we'll just have to see what happens." Mango said, hoping this isn't an evil trap setup by the enemies otherwise things could be looking very bad for them.
(Nursery Room)
"Wow, that's amazing! It's moving." Paiway smiled at the x-ray screen showing the inside of Erza's pregnant belly with her baby inside.
"It won't be long now. This is the last month. So, they could separate at any moment." Duelo stated.
"Separate? Well, what we call it is giving birth." Erza informed.
"Erza, where do you want to have it?" Paiway asked though Erza looked a little confuse on the question.
"We don't have the facilities here. But then, considering it's a guy." Paiway grinned as she loos over to Duelo and Pyro just nods in agreement.
The male doctor can see where this is coming from, a little bit, but he wants to let these women know that he is trustworthy to help them.
"I am a doctor. As result of my research, I know a great deal about pregnancy." Duelo said while holding up a book about babies and pregnancy, but that only seems to make the two women and robot a little nervous.
"Yeah, now I'm worried. Ribbit." Paiway talked as her frog puppet.
"I hope we're not interrupting anything." Cinder said as she and Jura entered the room with the two looking a little worse for wear.
"Doctor, can I have something for my headache?" Jura asked.
"Maybe some ice packs." Cinder requested as well.
"What's the matter?" Duelo asked.
"Well, it started after we had that dream this morning." Jura answered.
"A dream? Come to think of it, Jaune and Hibiki mentioned that you six girls and they had the same dream. The Paeksys seems to be acting up as well. Could these things be connected somehow?" Duelo wondered as he looks at Pyro with a red color on his screen like he's sick too.
"My head is killing me! Can I please have some medicine!" Jura yelled with the headache feeling worse for Jura.
"Jura, please take it easy. I know it hurts, that is happening to me too, but we have to be calm when we're in the presence of a pregnant woman." Cinder reminded her that Erza is here.
"I'm sorry… I didn't mean to yell like that." Jura apologized.
"Can you give us some kind of "pain killer" medicine or something to help make this barrable until it goes away?" Cinder asked the doctor.
"I may actually have something that could help. I'll prepare it right away. Please sit down, you two." Duelo said before going off to get what they need.
Cinder and Jura sit together on a medical bed as they look over to see that Erza's baby is really growing inside, it'll only be a matter of time until the Nirvana has gotten itself a new member of the crew and it's going to be cute.
Jura looks down to see the baby book Duelo was holding on the table got her curious to read this book herself.
(The Bridge)
"There's no doubt that we're going to find ourselves in a fight once we go to the escape pod with the rescue signal." Glynda pointed out.
"I want all systems checked thoroughly in combat readiness status report." BC ordered.
"Roger!" Celtic saluted, showing her face with a cut-out hole of the teddy bear of the costume.
"Well… I suppose this is an improvement." BC commented on Celtic showing her face a little more.
"You do?" Celtic asked, thinking that she should try revealing herself a bit more.
(Training Room)
Barnette and Yang are in the training room together practicing their shooting on the moving targets to see how fast they can react and shoot at the target with great precision. Cinder is also there doing some meditation to help calm her mind after feeling better from the headache.
Jura is in the training room too, but she's not doing anything because her mind is on something else.
"You know, Barnette, I want to have a baby." Jura said out loud.
Hearing that got a surprise reaction as Barnette misses another target, Yang almost lost her balance when her foot slip on the floating platform, and Cinder immediately opens her eyes in shock upon hearing what Jura just said.
"What? A baby?" Barnette gasped.
"Yeah." Jura nodded.
"And… you want me to be the Oma, is that it?" Barnette asked in shock, hoping that is not the case because she is not sure about becoming an Oma just yet.
"Oh boy, I didn't think Jura would make a move this soon!" Yang said.
"No, that's not it at all. Think of how meaningful it would be to make a baby with a man." Jura revealed who she wants to have a baby with.
"Oh!" Barnette gasped again with her face blushing.
"Oh, now I get it. It's because of how Jaune and Pyrrha did their first sex with each other, and then Dita and Hibiki did it too. You've been thinking about this, haven't you?" Yang asked with a grin.
"Maybe. Up until today, I just wanted to experience what it's like to have sex with a man seed." Jura said.
"And I take it you have already decided that Hibiki is going to be that man you'll get the seed from." Cinder guessed as she stood up.
"Who else? I feel more connected towards Hibiki than with Jaune, and I can already tell that he might have done sex with Dita a little more after their first." Jura licked her lips.
"Should we be worried?" Barnette asked.
"Think about going back to Mejeer with that news, girls. No Mejeerian has ever done it before. I'll make history. I'll be Mejeer's greatest heroine!" Jura smiled feeling the joy of a bright future ahead of her.
"Yeah, sounds like something you would do." Barnette sighed.
"I'm not sure if Hibiki would want to be use as something for history." Cinder said.
"Don't worry, it's not like I'm being selfish here or anything, I'm going to woo my way into his heart and get that sex time with him and then have a baby with him!" Jura smiled.
"Wow, and here I thought things couldn't get any crazier." Yang chuckled.
"(Wait a minute, would Ruby want to get close to Jaune like that?)" Yang thought gasped in shock, fearing that Ruby's innocent may get taken away by Jaune should they do what he and Pyrrha did.
"Jaune! Don't think I'm going to let you get near my little sister like that!" Yang gritted her teeth in rage seeming like she's on fire.
But suddenly the alarm went off throughout the Nirvana ship that got everyone's attention.
(The Bridge)
"Commanders, I've got the coordinates of that rescue signal." Amarone informed.
"Then let us begin the operation. Meia and Cinder, you two will be part of the salvage operation with the delivery shuttle. You are to protect them in case any enemy shows up." Glynda ordered.
"Understood." Meia nodded.
"We'll make sure they don't get their hands on this pod." Cinder said.
Out in space, a lone pod is drafting through space while sending out the rescue signal as the rescuing group have arrive to see the pod for themselves.
"How's the pod looking, Gascogne?" Ren asked.
"On the outside, it looks fine, but it has taken some pretty heavy damage." Gascogne answered.
"Think it was a malfunction?" Sun guessed.
"Unlikely, keep your guard up." Gascogne advised.
(Nirvana, the Bridge)
"I've got a confirmed life form signal, commanders." Erza informed after checking the scanners on that pod.
"So, someone as escape from the harvest." BC said.
"If that's the case then no doubt the enemies will be right behind this pod soon." Glynda feared.
Glynda really hopes that none of those evil machines come here to make taking them away and use their organs for harvest, but she knew better that she can't always have what she wants and will have to believe the group will come back to the ship in one piece.
(Back in Space)
"Alright, package looks stable for you to pick up." Sun said with his Dread mech giving Gascogne in the delivery ship a thumbs up.
"Thanks." Gascogne chuckled, but she notices an extra reading on her scanner.
"Just in time." Gascogne knew that it's probably the enemy from Earth coming this way to take the pod.
(Nirvana Bridge)
"Enemy vessels at 20,000 GRT. Closing fast." Amarone alerted.
"They've come. I guess we really are outlaws now. Well, pirates would be more accurate." Mango glared at the space.
"Captain, aren't pirates already outlaws?" Glynda asked.
"Yes, but we're the more thrill-seeking types." Mango pointed out.
"This looks like a new energy signature, captain. We can't interpret any data about the enemy." Belvedere informed as she noticed this different energy reading.
"They must've taken off from a different flagship. And that means their mean fleet has advanced a lot further than we thought." BC stated on what she can tell.
"So, there are five of them headed out way right now." Mango said.
"And there could be more of them in the galaxy." Glynda feared.
"We can't fight five at once. We got to get out of here!" Bart worried about fighting this kind of battle that would put him and everyone of the Nirvana to death.
"For once, I agree with him. The operation must accurate before the enemies show up!" Glynda nodded.
"Gascogne, you get back here as soon as the pod is secured." BC ordered the delivery woman.
"Parfet. Status report. Can you get the shields up?" BC asked, hoping to have some protection for the ship in case the flagships come to them.
"I don't have complete control of the system yet. It's pretty unstable." Parfet informed in a worry tone.
"Fuck, then our only option is to flee as soon as the others get back into the ship." Glynda clenched onto her hands.
"(The only time I never heard Glynda shout out a curse word is when she gets really angry or worried or both at the same time, and she's doing both now.)" BC thought saw how Glynda is feeling about this situation. She knows how Glynda can get when it comes to worrying about the crew, and she doesn't like seeing her friend like that.
"Meia, Cinder, don't fight unless you have to. As soon as the pod is in the hold, we're out of here." BC informed.
"Roger." Cinder and Meia nodded before hanging up.
"Excellent decision as usual, commander." Bart complimented to BC on the choice of not sticking around to fight.
"Well, thank you, Bart…" BC felt a little weird from the compliment.
(Back with the Salvage Group)
Ren and Sun suddenly felt something in their instincts telling them that something is coming at them and it's coming fast, they quickly move their Vanguard to block and deflect an incoming attack from the fast cube type enemies.
"The enemies are already here!" Sun shouted.
"Be careful, these cube types are a lot faster than the last ones we fought." Ren informed.
"He's not kidding. They're everywhere!" Jaune looked around in shock with how fast these things are.
"It's a good thing we had Nora and Parfet work on giving our Vanguard some more mobility and agility to react faster." Sun smirked.
Sun and Ren do their best to fight off the enemies that are coming at them while the others are fighting as well though having trouble with their speed, but Ren can tell that this fight isn't about them nor wanting to take out the Nirvana team that took down one of their flagships.
Ren turns his head a bit to see the pod for a second and then started to realize this pod is more than what it seems, something that the enemies want it so badly.
"Everyone, I think all the enemy wants is that pod. They end up getting it, then they'll just leave and not care about us." Ren shared his theory while shooting two enemies away.
"Are you for real?" Hibiki asked.
"I don't know, something tells me Ren might be on to something." Pyrrha said.
"You guys should listen to him, from what I learn about Ren is that his hunches are mostly right about these sorts of things." Jaune agreed.
"That just means we have to keep this pod away from the enemies." Marrow pointed out.
(The Bridge)
"So, that pod is really important that they're willing to ignore us, then we have to get this pod back to us and fast." Mango smirked.
"It must be the lifeform inside the pod, someone who might know something about the enemy that we can learn." Glynda hoped that's the case.
"They'll have to get it here to us first." BC said.
(Back in the Space Battle)
"Guys! These things are getting closer!" Sun alerted as he tries fending them off with the Vanguard's nun-chucks.
"Hang on! I'm coming!" Hibiki goes in for protecting his friend.
"Hey, you fucking tin cans! We got to it first and you're not taking it from us!" Hibiki shouted at the robots, but he can't land a hit on one of them as they are moving too quick.
"Hibiki, I think we should combine now. We can take them out together." Meia suggested.
"Right." Hibiki nodded.
"Pyrrha, we combine as well. We'll need some extra protection for the pod." Jaune said.
"You got it." Pyrrha agreed to that.
But just when the four ships were about to combine into two mechs to battle the speedy enemies, a red energy beam came in and prevent them from combining into their Vandread forms.
"What… What's that light?" Hibiki asked in shock.
"This feeling… It's so bad and yet familiar at the same time, but why?" Jaune asked himself. Could this be some kind of new weapon the enemies have made for them?

The Nirvana crew have found a pod that seems to be very important to the enemies from earth if they are going through the trouble of getting it, our space heroes will give it their all though they might find themselves in a situation that could become their living nightmare.
