For those who have said that Sarabi was disappointed was a huge understatement. She never would have thought that her son would behave so foolishly.
After the announcements that both Nala, the King's intended and Arcadia were pregnant by Simba a council was held in the old Lion Guard lair.
Afia sighed heavily before moving her dark red eyes to her grandson. "This is a situation you put not only you in but the Pridelands as well."
Simba lowered his head ashamed but most of all he was hurting because he didn't think and now he has hurt the love of his life.
Simba's gold-tan grandmother turned to him and took a deep breath. "Simba, there are no shortcuts. You must marry either Nala or Arcadia."
"I want to marry Nala!" Simba cried out in despair before taking a deep breath. "I truly love her more than life itself! There's no one is I rather be with than her!"
"Oh Simba," everyone in the recently abandoned Lion Guard lair turned to see Nala standing at the entrance with her mother. The tawny lioness smiled lightly before walking over and thrust her head into the king's red mane. "There's no one I rather be with as well and I'm sorry I put you through all that.. I was just hurt and felt betrayed."
Simba rubbed his head against Nala's. "I love you Nala. And is time we made it official, marry me?"
Nala smiled, tears fell from her teal eyes. "Yes! I'll marry you!"
A Few Weeks Later
The time for Simba and Nala's wedding as as well as Nala's coronation has come.
Arcadia wasn't heartbroken that she wasn't chosen but it did help that she had received the next to highest rank under queen as Duchess with a private cave that the creamy brown lioness stays in with her cubs along with Aluna and her family.
During the weeks that led up to the wedding and Nala's coronation, King Simba finally started the guard. Led by Cassiel and Malka with Tojo and Arcadia's eldest son, Jesús as their seconds.
As the sun began to rise into the afternoon Nala sat in the main den on priderock being groomed by her mother and Starra, who was also ready to give birth anytime soon.
"You're one gorgeous bride, Nala."
Nala lowered her head bashfully before looking up as her mother re entered the den with a vine crown with white flowers attached.
"The last piece for the bride." Sarafina smiled after placing the crown on her daughter's head.
Nala purred. "Thank you." as she hugged her mother.
Soon the sound of the pride's roar got the lionesses attention.
Nala took deep breaths before exiting the den with her mother and Starra at her sides. Once out the den Sarafina gave Nala a affectionate head bump before going to sit by Talia and Malka.
Mheetu took his mother's spot and along with Starra they walked Nala down the path.
Once at Simba's side, Mheetu and Starra went to the sides as Rafiki headed up front between the future mates.
Rafiki cleared his throat and began the ceremony, "We are gathered here today to witness the union of two hearts that had found upendi!"
The pride and the watching animals below priderock erupted in cheers and roars.
Rafiki looked at Simba and dipped his head, "Your vows, my king?"
Simba nodded and turned to the tawny lioness and said, "Nala, I knew for a long time that you were the one whom I wanted to share my life with. Especially when you found me when I was lost. I would love you forever even after death."
Nala smiled; she had tears in her teal eyes as she began to say her vows,
"Simba, my love. Today I take you to be my mate and my king. I promise to be by your side through the good and the bad. Even in death my love for you would never end."
Rafiki smiled as he raised his staff over his head and over the couple before he announced, "I now pronounce you mates!" then he turned to Simba and grinned, "You may now nuzzle your bride!"
Simba grinned as well before he nuzzled Nala, who nuzzled back. The two faced the peak and roared as mates, for Nala also claiming her place as Queen.
There were eruptions of cheers before everyone bowed to the king and his newly crowned queen.
-TLKTLKTLKTLK-
A loud angered roar echoed on the edges of the Pridelands. In a large cave were lionesses and a few lions, as they gazed the angry dark tan lioness.
"I can't believe this this is happening!" Zira snarled as she paced with a dark gaze in her dark red eyes.
A large brownish-tan, black mane lion licked one of his paws before moving his purplish eyes on the pacing lioness. "I mean.. what did you think was going to happen?"
Zira snarled as she snapped her head towards the male. "That's not helping, Orson!"
Orson grinned before standing. "I have you your help. The furballs sleeping in the corner. You're welcome,"
Zira growled as she narrowed her eyes. "Let's not forget about Nuka! My father dis-owned him! And what am I supposed to do with newborns?! I need to rid my father's murderer now!"
Kioi laid on a ledge watching her daughter drive herself mad. She wanted to revenge Scar as well but knew that it wouldn't happen overnight.
The pale white lioness stood before leaping off her perch where she walked over to her daughter. "Zira, calm down! If we're going to do this and succeed, we need a level head."
Zira snarled before slowly nodded her head. Her ears perked at the sounds of her cubs crying. She sighed deeply before turning to head to the corner of the cave. "Excuse me, it's time I fed Vitani and Kovu."
Kioi and Orson watched the dark tan lioness head towards her section of the cave before looking at one another.
Kioi sighed deeply before moving her light purple eyes up to look at the large brownish-tan lion. "We can use some extra teeth and claws. Especially if things turn sour there's going to be a war."
Orson nodded in understanding. "I can't say anything for sure yet but there's two lions, a mother and a son who wants to see the downfall of the Pridelands. And not to mention, the queen of Northwind is about to have my cub."
Kioi smiled pleased with the information. "Very well. You best get going. It wouldn't do you any good to be away from Queen Andromeda too long."
Orson nodded before rushing off towards the nearest border of Northwind.
