The sun was shining as everyone was moving around, going about their daily routines. With both the queen and her advisor pregnant a stand in was chosen to lead the morning hunts.

Sherise watched Marisol lead the lionesses into the Pridelands before heading down into the swaying grass. The Pridelands were truly beautiful but she felt immensely alone. Even if she was expecting, she still felt alone.

Just a few weeks ago Delina gave birth to son who looks exactly like her brother. She wasn't sure if it was a good omen or a bad one. But she promised to protect little Severus, even if it kills her.

"Good morning Duchess," a masculine voice snapped her out of her thoughts. She looked up to see a very handsome creamy, black mane lion with charming dark brown eyes.

The brownish lioness flickered her ear before smiling lightly. "I'm sorry. I don't believe we have had the chance. Though... you seem very familiar."

The large lion chuckled before smiling. "My apologies. I'm Luis, as for me being familiar... I suppose it's because I'm one of Jashua's older brothers."

Sherise's purple eyes lit up with recognition. "The strongest, I presume?"

Luis laughed before nodding his head. As the day turned to afternoon, the two forged a friendship. Separating when Jashua called his team.

A few weeks later, the sun shined brightly, casting a golden blanket over the Pridelands. As the day went on, Sherise was sun bathing along with her new lioness friends. The sisters Marisol and Maisie, Ramona and a new young lioness that recently joined, Zendaya.

Zendaya's original pride was destroyed after lightning struck, igniting the land ablaze. She was unfortunately the only one that made it out alive. At first Sherise didn't like her but now they're the best of friends.

As the sun began to go higher in the sky, Sherise stood and stretched. After a half of day of cub talk and males, she needed to get some air. With Zendaya and the others asleep, Sherise quietly walked away from the sunbathing area. Only to groan when her eyes landed on Jashua's oldest brother, Jesùs.

Sherise turned to head to the other water hole that Kiara showed her. Sherise knew it was foolish but she had to keep her distance at least until she get a hold of her feelings. They're confusing, she likes Jesùs but also feel something for his brothers, Luis and Jashua. Even though, the leader of the Lion Guard is very spoken for.

After her encounter with Luis, she of course later ran into Jesús. She forged a friendship with all of the brothers and each offered something she never had.

Unfortunately, as she tried to avoid the older male. The red-brown lion saw her.

"Hey wait!" Jesùs yelled as he got up and ran after the younger female.

Sherise was making her way down a steep path when she sighed and looked up. "I'm just going to the watering hole. Jesùs."

Sherise turned around and continued down the path and into the savannah. Jesùs walked quicker steps to reach her.

"And I'm coming with you." Jesùs said as he walked over to Sherise's side with little afford.

Sherise rolled her eyes and tried walked faster which turn out as a waddle.

"Aww, look at the lioness that waddles!" Jesùs laughed with that glint in his dark brown eyes that Sherise liked-no loved so much.

Sherise shook her head and growled to herself. Cut it out, Sherise! Before she turned and growled at Jesùs. "You don't want to do that!"

Jesùs faked a scared expression. "What are you going to do, waddle me to death?" Jesùs mocked with a snicker.

Sherise narrowed her eyes and growled playfully before she swat at him, but Jesùs ducked. Just as Sherise fell to the ground on her side.

"Sherise!" Jesùs roared as he raced to the brownish lioness' side. "Sherise, what's wrong?"

Sherise cringed, but managed to look at Jesùs with tears of pain at the brim of her eyes. "I think the cub is coming..."

Jesùs started to pace before he looked down at Sherise and asked with a concerned expression. "Are you hurting?"

Sherise rolled her eyes with a sneer. "Ya think!"

Jesùs gulped before nodding his head. "Of course, I'll go get help."

Sherise shook her head before grimacing from the intense pain. "No! Please don't leave me..."

Then another wave of pain shot through her. Jesùs turned to face priderock and roared to get the attention of the pride.

A few moments later Delina and Sarabi, though white around the muzzle ran over with concerned and worried eyes.

"Jesùs, what's going on?" the old dark beige lioness asked.

"It's time..." Jesùs said not taking his eyes off of Sherise.

The lionesses nodded and helped Sherise up and to walk home. Once they in the small den another wave of pain hit Sherise and she fell on her side.

"Someone, get Rafiki!" Jesùs roared.

Not long after the red-brown lion barked for some one to get Rafiki. The mandrill walked in after being told he was summoned to priderock by Saidi. Rafiki walked in and sat by Sherise's tail while Delina tried to calm her friend and sister-in-law.

As Sarabi ushered Jesùs out while Rafiki and Delina helped Sherise.

"Not long now, just push!" Rafiki instructed Sherise.

Sherise took deep breathes and started pushing. After twenty minutes of pushing the pain halted. To start up again fifteen minutes later. When Sherise thought she was done and started to work on calming her racing heart another pain ripped through her. Just as she was on the verge of passing out her ears perked at the sound of cub mews bouncing off the walls.

"Congrats, you have a healthy and strong son." Rafiki smiled handing Sherise her cub.

Sherise bathed her cub before she looked at her son. He was beautiful with greyish-beige fur and dark purple eyes.

"Wow Sherise, he looks just like your mother." Delina cooed at her nephew. Before moving her greyish eyes to the tired new mother. "What are you going to name him?" the dark tan lioness asked taking the Royal Advisor out of her thoughts.

Sherise actually couldn't help but smile as she gazed lovingly at her son. "I really love the name Asier, especially since he reminds me of my mother."

Delina smiled as she gave mother and son a nuzzle before standing. "I'll go let everyone know how it went."

Sherise nodded before tending to her cub. As she silently promised him that she wouldn't let any harm come to him.

-TLKTLKTLKTLK-

A loud roar echoed though the small cave near the slope. Where Nala and Starra rushed Kiara into the current nursery den with the help of Kovu.

The two then shooed the dark brown lion out as Rafiki and his student came in. Kiara laid on her side, breathing heavy as sweat matted her gold fur.

"What do you see, Rika?" Rafiki asked his student since his last one was chosen to be the Royal Mujzi to the kingdom of the Tree of Life.

The young light grey mandrill looked up. "A head, Rafiki."

Rafiki nodded before looking at the gold pelted Queen. "Push your Majesty!"

Kiara nodded and pushed, the pain left as she felt something slide from her body.

"A beautiful healthy baby boy!" Rika smiled before placing the tiny cub in his mother's paws.

Kiara didn't get to bath the cub before another wave of pain erupted through her body.

"Wait, Rafiki!"

Rafiki looked at his student with concern. "What is it?"

"There's another head!"

Automatically Kiara closed her brown eyes that she inherited from her grandfather's father. The gold lioness growled before the burning and pain stopped.

"What sex, Rika?"

Rika smiled as she placed the new cub next to it's brother. "A healthy princess."

Rafiki smiled before looking at his student and nodded. Her, Rafiki, Nala and Starra walked out of the cave to see Kovu pacing with Simba, Tojo, Malka and Cassiel sitting around.

When Kovu's green eyes landed on his mate's mother and aunt, he ran over. "Is everything alright?"

Starra chuckled before she smiled. "Go see for yourself, dear."

Kovu looked at the cave and gulped before walking in. The dark brown lion's throat went dry at the sight of two cubs.

"Twins?" Kovu questioned as he gazed at the dark gold and tawny cubs.

Kiara smiled at her mate before gazing lovingly at her cubs. "Oh Kovu, honey. Isn't it great?"

Kovu nodded before nuzzling her. "The best, my beautiful queen. What are their names?"

Kiara looked at the two cubs asleep at her side. Tears started to fall as her grief returned. It's only been a week since her grandmother, Sarabi passed away. "I really love the names Askari II and Sarabi II, after my grandfather's uncle and my grandmother."

Kovu pinned his ears, he felt sad about Sarabi's death. She was very welcoming to him during his time in the Pridelands with the whole Zira plan.

The king consort nuzzled his son and daughter before nuzzling his mate again. "They're beautiful... like you, my love."

The new parents shared a loving embrace as they prepared for the future.
