Chapter Two: Behold Chaos, for He is Undivided

"Class, sit down. I come bearing news. The scientists have managed to secure another segment of… information from space. It's… not good." Katsuki snorted before laughing. "Sounds like we have some friends from space to blast into smithereens!" This drew surprised looks from the rest of his class. "Friends? What do you mean? It was reported to be solar radiation on the news?" "Then explain why the military has suddenly started work on defensive installations all throughout the city, the cannons that we were told for 'asteroid defense'? Why would they build them on the city level, where if they shot at the meteors, instead of it being a cannon, it would be a buckshot at that point!" Katsuki retorted to Mina who was somehow clueless to the military's sudden construction projects into the city which drew a lot of suspicion and demands for answers city wide. It was by far, the biggest construction project they had ever done, and no one could understand why, let alone for something that should be built in space if it was for the intended purpose. Even other countries around the globe were building similar weapons! "Class, the real answer to that, which pro-heroes around the globe have been informed of, is not because it's an asteroid defense grid. It's a defensive grid to stop ships from landing on the planet. The scientists have confirmed there is other sapient life out there, and from what they could secure communication wise, it's shown to be extremely hostile to another sapient life out there. We were instructed to keep quiet about it, but Principle Nezu believes it would be best to inform the up-coming heroes for what is to potentially happen." This left the class even more confused than before. "What do you mean by… could potentially happen?" Said Lida, who wore a concerned look on his face. "We're talking about two sapient life forms clashing, one attempting to flee by something called a 'gate' and the other giving chase. More specifically, 'Chase them down. Show no mercy.' The same voice, after weeks of translation software running at full power, also confirmed that they have warships that can fly in space."

The class was left absolutely shocked at the news. Horrified, even. "You… mean to tell us there's at least two sapient life forms out there that are killing one another? Do you think they're coming here?" Said Midoriya, who had been taking notes about another rising hero. "Yes, that is correct Midoriya. Even if they aren't coming here directly, the mere confirmation of this has caused governments world wide to come together to decide that this is a threat that could potentially result in the extinction of all life on this planet, and that we need to be able to defend ourselves if needed. As such, many governments are in the process of ceasing their hostilities with one another to come together to start developing our own forms of space travel." That struck a chord with the class. No more global hostilities? Uniting together for a common goal? That was great news! "This is great! We can deal with the villains so much more effectively when we're not fighting one another and that will then allow us to prepare unmolested for potential hostile aliens!" Mina said excitedly, which Kirishima comically quipped in. "Guess you'll need a new hero name, Alien Girl!" That resulted in a slap to the back of his head by Mina and a sigh of irritation from Aizawa, who couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"Class, we will be taking this situation seriously. After all, we just got out of a war with the villains. Our civilians haven't even fully recovered from it, let alone the reconstruction currently ongoing." Lida chipped in with a smirk to this. "Then why don't we aid in reconstruction? A hero's job never ends, and some of us have quirks that would be highly effective in most circumstances." Aizawa stopped to think about the suggestion, while Kirishima, Mina, and Midoriya all gave smiles and a thumbs up to Lida for the suggestion. "That's not a bad suggestion, and valid reasoning for it Lida, however the government has declared that heroes and heroes in training are to prepare for potential battle, and that means significant training. Just because you beat villains, doesn't mean other adversities will have other tools at their disposal."

This was a solid point by Aizawa, which the class acknowledged. "Understood Sensei, we shall swap into our-" Lida was about to say before being cut off by Aizawa. "No, child. You will not change into your training uniforms. Instead, you will change into your Hero uniforms and then meet me out in the training yard. We're doing open combat training… Midoriya you're far more powerful than anyone here due to the nature of your quirks so here's a challenge for you- you can only use one quirk at a time, and you must tell us which one it will be and allow fifteen minutes to plan for it. In compensation, you'll get to pick the battle grounds." Aizawa stated as he pulled his personal phone out and texted Midnight and All Might to join them in the training grounds. He was going to make this a hard challenge for everyone.

When the students changed into their hero costumes and arrived on the field, it was unusually windy and cold. Despite it being in the summer weather, it was strangely chilly. "Sensei… didn't the weather prediction call for hot and clear weather?" "The weather does its own thing, Jiro. Predictions are just that… predictions." Satisfied with the answer, she prepared to hear the instructions when a wave of dread came over everyone as a loud, mechanical whine filled the air. "What the fuck is that?" Katsuki asked aloud as everyone began to look around. The military defensive structures were beginning to power on and start aiming into the sky, which was not a good thing. "Uhh Sensei… are they supposed to be doing that?" Midoriya asked as the turrets finished their movement and held position. "No. No they are not." "Surely this is just a test run… right?" Mina said, suddenly very uncomfortable in their position. "Not sure Uraraka…" Was all that Izuku could say. At that point, Midnight and All Might had joined the training grounds. "All Might! You're out of bed!" Izuku screamed in joy, hugging his instructor. "Yes Midoriya, I finally was taken off bed rest fourteen hours ago. The doctors are amazed I recovered as quickly as I had. Ever since that energy from space hit the planet, the injuries many people sustained recovered rapidly. If I didn't know any better, I would say it was magical." All Might said, though he was also a little nervous about the defensive installations doing what they had done. Even the city had fallen silent just watching them. Brawling heroes and villains stopped to just stare at them. Everyone had heard that they were supposedly for asteroid defense, but very few actually believed that. Most believed it was for another reason.

Then, without warning, the sky in the city suddenly began to distort and turn into a shade of purple before returning to normal, and then… It happened. Dozens upon dozens of what could only be called 'portals' opened up swirling in a purple-black like liquid hovering in space. "What in the absolute fucking hell!?" Yelled both Katsuki and Kirishima. While Aizawa would correct such language… even he couldn't fault them for the language presented due to what just opened up. While nothing happened afterwards initially, it soon became apparent that the portals were the least of their concerns as hundreds of ships came through them, all looking extremely pristine and well maintained, each one letting out an ear-splitting whine unlike anything ever heard. Truly alien in design, each ship hovered over the ground appearing to have taken inspiration from a double-bladed sword that was taped to a brick and appeared to be heavily armored, while being around eighteen kilometers in length, at the smallest ship. The largest appeared to be almost quadruple that size. At that moment, the city wide radios and televisions were hijacked, and a message was broadcast by some kind of humanoid creature wearing what looked like a naval uniform that was crisp white with golden trim on it. Having three eyes and four arms, it towered above what a normal human was in height. "Citizens of this Class Fourteen Habited World, you are ordered to surrender to the Imperial Might. Resistance is futile, and we are not afraid to destroy everything you know and love. You have ten minutes, your time, to make your decision. Should you resist, we will kill all who stand in our way, and those who remain will be enslaved to the war machine."

As the hijacked radios played the translated audio message, and visual message for televisions, panic ensued. Villains scrambled to their holdouts and even Heroes disengaged trying to find suitable cover as the declaration was made clear. "Sensei… I don't think those aliens want to be friendly." Lida said nervously. "Class… prepare for combat. Training is cancelled. These aliens are hostile and aiming to conquer our world, our people. We cannot let them." Aizawa said calmly, but even he looked absolutely terrified. "Aizawa is correct, we must not let these alien invaders destroy our very way of life!" All Might said with a fist held high. "We shall fight them to our last breath, as Heroes, we cannot fail in our duties to our citizens! It's time to truly go, Plus Ultra!" All Might yelled as he began sprinting towards the city as the military defensive structures began to power up, blue lights forming around the barrels, closing to the edge before… A massive explosion, and burst of blue light. The first alien vessel was struck… and unphased. The alien vessels then opened their gun ports revealing thousands of otherworldly weapons, some of which looked like weapons that were only theorized by military experts, such as railguns! Then the ships opened fire. Immediately, the defensive installations were obliterated in bursts of fireballs and screams filled the city as the students and pro-heroes of UA began to close in on the city.

"Why did Katsuki have to be right about the aliens!?" Screamed Lida as they began to reach the city limits, civilians rushing away, some burning, but the flames were wrong. What was supposed to be orange and red flames, were black and purple, and burned significantly hotter as one person found out trying to douse the flames with a bucket of water only to watch the water immediately evaporate, along with the bucket bursting into flames and lava itself as it got too close, forcing the civilian to drop it as the poor man who was burning alive died, turning to ashes rather quickly. "We have to save every single person here!" Screamed Izuku who was quickly becoming overwhelmed at the sight of people being slaughtered by the burning flames that couldn't be extinguished by water, defying all known physics. "Midoriya! Focus! We have to take these vessels down!" "But how!?" Screamed Kirishima who activated his hardening quirk blocking a shot from one of the vessels saving a child, but the round pierced through his hardened skin far easier than anyone expected. While it didn't do very much damage, it became very clear even Kirishima, who's ability made him a literal walking tank, couldn't fully stop those rounds. That meant these aliens weren't fully trying to kill everyone… After all, they did say they wanted slaves for their war machine. Killing too many would make the entire endeavor pointless! "Agh! What the hell!?" Screamed Kirishima who pulled the round that weighed around half a hundred pounds out of his armored skin and dropped it, letting a little bit of blood spurt from his fractured arms. "No one takes those rounds head on! If Kirishima can't tank it, we definitely can't!" Shouted Lida, though that quickly became the least of their concerns. "Look! The larger ship is releasing thousands of smaller ships! It's a ground invasion!" Uraraka screamed, pointing out the smaller vessels that were streaking towards the ground, each one around four-hundred meters in length.

"Kirishima, get back! You're injured!" Shouted Midoriya, who was now in front of everyone with Blackwhip grabbing ahold of one of the smaller vessels and slamming it into another vessel, creating a large scale fireball as the two ships fell to the earth, slamming into the ground and exploding. "I just killed… something!" Izuku suddenly whispered, absolutely horrified with himself." Suddenly, Midnight appeared in front of him and slapped Midoriya. "Wake up Midoriya! These aliens are here to kill and enslave! Regret the killing later, right now we must prevent more human life from being harmed by these creatures!" She screamed as the landing ships began to reach the ground and released their troops. Hundreds, thousands, possibly millions of troops began to pour from all of the landing ships, swarming the city. They seemed relatively untrained, and weren't very motivated, but they were numerous.

"I'm going to blow them all to smithereens!" Yelled Bakugo who charged a large platoon of the alien invaders releasing explosions in close proximity to them, and while effective in causing harm from the energy behind them, was very limited and not doing much physical damage. Then they drew their own weapons- glowing rifles of some sort. "Hah!? What are those glow sticks!?" Katsuki yelled, before almost losing his head as he had to duck behind a building that was quickly being destroyed as the ground troops opened fire, their rifles firing what looked like gauss rounds that tore through stone and concrete with extreme ease. They didn't even bother to try to really aim for him, they were looking to bury him in rubble and kill him slowly. This was stopped by Uraraka rushing them from behind and grabbing two of them and causing them to levitate and due to their weapons fire, they became disoriented as they spun in the air defying gravity. The other soldiers trained weapons on Uraraka aiming to cease her shenanigans, but were stopped by Aizawa taking their weapons with his capture scarf as Midoriya and Mina rushed them striking at them in close quarters combat. Their armor proved far stronger than expected and the students weren't able to do any form of damage, and the soldiers drew their knives and cut the scarf away when Aizawa reached for those too, then the battle shifted as they counter attacked the students who were previously running rings around them as they slashed at vital points to maximize suffering, but keep the lethality down.

Then the Military rolled in with their forces, opening fire on the alien forces throughout the city. A squadron of jets flew overhead firing missiles at the spaceships which either blocked their weapons with energy shields of some kind, or shot the missiles down with point-blank defenses as their weapons began to fire at the jets at the same time. "Strike team Alpha, Heroes engaged in sector 3A! We're moving to engage! Enemy weapons are highly advanced! Requesting immediate air support!" A soldier yelled into his comms as they opened fire on the aliens, forcing them to take cover, though one fell dead, exuding purple blood from his neck. "Soldiers, the armor is weak at the neck! Your weapons pierced their neck! Aim there!" Shouted Aizawa as the remaining students started to aim for the throat, with Midoriya turning his blackwhip into something far more dangerous, using it to grasp rubble that was extremely sharp and swing it into the throats of the aliens, tearing them open leaving them to grasp at their throats as they desperately tried to stop the blood loss before falling over dead.

After that small engagement was finalized with several students traumatized from it, they decided it was a good time to relax and have a breather as the military began to push back against the invaders. "What the hell… why are they doing this?" Mina moaned in horror. "I don't know Mina, but we can't let them win. They can't have our people." Midoriya said, his uniform torn again. "Will you extras shut the fuck up for a minute, the Military will wipe these clowns off the map! You'll see!" Katsuki said, though he didn't sound too sure himself. It was only the first fifteen minutes of the war, and the students were seeing horror beyond anything they could comprehend. Not even the Villains had managed to cause this level of destruction!
