12 - World Eater

Age 768, November

"I want you to stay here, it's going to be very dangerous and I can just Instant Transmission away if need be."

"I don't like this 21, it seems like too big of a risk right now," 16 said.

I nodded, "It might be, but if it works, which I think it will, it will be very much worth it."

"And if it fails? What do I tell everyone? What do I tell Trunks when he returns from the future?"

A frown crossed my brow, but I had nothing to say.

"This move is reckless and you know it. Especially this early in your plan."

I had told 16 about the plans I had to prepare for the Tournament of Power and beyond, and this one would put everything on the line. At the same time though, the payout would be worth it.

"The only difference is that it will take time to diffuse the evil Karma, absorbing someone that has literally eaten worlds worth of people is dangerous. Plus, while he might not escape now...the longer he sits there the more power he will be able to slowly gain."

The huge Android was frustrated, "Then let me come with you! I can help protect you!"

"I don't want to put you at risk 16! I can't lose you!"

"That isn't for you to decide! I chose when and where I put my life on the line! Not you!"

"You are staying on the ship while I do the attack. I need you to move the ship far enough away that I can Instant Transmission to it. If I can't get out then you come and get me, deal?"

He relaxed, but still, wasn't happy about it, "Deal. When do we leave?"

"Today. I just need to load some of the rations I ordered and finish packing. I don't know how long it will be since I will have to go somewhere else to master the ability if it is actually stealable. If I let it get out of control it could be a problem."

"I will help with that."

"Thank you, 16."

We loaded everything up and I had already said my goodbyes. This trip would be the most dangerous thing I have ever attempted, and I had a huge chance of dying. I was going against the Galactic Government, possibly facing an Angel in training, as well as the World Eater himself. I felt my hand shake at the danger I would be in, closing my fist, I let my ki circulate through me.

"I got this."

~o*o~

The Majin Throne, which I still didn't like as a ship name, actually had a bridge and while I could control the ship while sitting on the throne itself, the Captain's seat was just as good, if not better on account of the beautiful windows showing us the outside of the ship.

16 was with me on the bridge, going over controls and distances from the navigation station. Our target was the Galactic Patrol Prison, located on a heavily guarded space station deep within the Galactic Patrol territory.

"We have a lock on the station, but we should be far enough away that they can't detect us. That will change when you power up," 16 said.

I nodded, "It seems that it is time then."

"You are sure you don't want me to come with you?"

"I need you to be ready to get me away from here when the time comes, and that is why we spent half a day coming around from the other side. We can't have them know we are from Earth, and we can't go back there until I have either succeeded or failed in absorbing Moro."

There was another problem that I hadn't faced yet, and that was reaching my maximum power level. I felt more confident that I could reach a higher percentage, having been able to push to around 25 or 30% of my total. This was a mental block though, I hadn't needed the power yet. And what's more, is that I had increased to an unknown level after fully absorbing Cell, so my power had increased beyond the 100 million mark and I don't know what level I would need to even contend with someone like Moro or Merus.

We could potentially try to draw Merus away, but he is an Angel and more than likely the top agent among Galactic Patrol Officers, he would be the first called when I appear.

"Alright, I am going to do this," I walked up and hugged 16. "No matter what happens, I wish that you will find peace. If I don't survive, this ship is yours. Do what you can to follow my plan of getting the people of Earth stronger."

He didn't hug back due to the tight space, but he leaned into me, "No, you will come back. I am sure of that. Just make sure you are yourself when you do so."

I swallowed at the thought of potentially losing myself. I was skipping ahead on the power scale by doing this, and the risk was huge. What gave me the courage to attempt it was the fact that Moro would be weakened by the time he has spent in confinement with his magic sealed. The longer I waited, the more dangerous Moro would become. I had decided that this should be my next move and I just would have to hope for the best.

Stepping out into space with a quick use of the ship's teleportation, I held my breath and my power began to grow. My eyes closed, ignoring the scorching heat of the star in this system. I powered up and transformed into my true form, the clothing of a Majin now adorning me. Then the floodgates opened.

While space was a vacuum, my sound waves echoed through the system as they were carried on my ki. The energy didn't care about the vacuum and my will flowed through it. I screamed as my aura fully encompassed me and my power went to levels that I had never reached before.

Power Level: 54.25 million (45%)

"Not enough!" I thought to myself, and I kept pushing, searching for a stable level.

Red and black energy swirled like a hurricane around me, making the heat of the star irrelevant. I was the one who began to ignite the realm around me. I brought the heat. It wasn't about growing in strength, it was about releasing what I already had!

Android 21

Power Level: 81.25 million(65%)

"NOT GOOD ENOUGH! RELEASE IT!" I screamed into the vacuum. The reading on my HUD kept climbing and I could only just make it out as the power crashed around me. The hurricane had increased to something greater.

The central sphere of black ki and magic was the very event horizon to the endless depths of my power. The red energy inside the sphere burned like fire and the circle beyond that, pink lightning flashed dangerously. There was nothing to hit where I was and 16 had already moved my ship.

Power Level: 100 million(80%)

Now my fury was just as potent as my power and I could wait no longer. The benchmark I had made it to stabilized and felt comfortable enough. My eyes flashed, feeling the minuscule life forms in the Galactic Patrol Station scurry around in the distance. I used my knowledge granted by the Wish Dragon Kali to find Moro's resting place. He was deep in the heart of the station, beyond shields and bulkheads of some alloy that was many meters thick.

Millions of people lived or were at least currently stationed on this floating structure. I could only imagine what their response to my appearance would be. I couldn't sense more than a wisp of energy from where I knew Moro to be, but there was a whole series of cells just outside of that, so I locked onto one of them and appeared in the hallway between cells.

Gasps of fear on shouts of surprise met my ears. My aura blasted through the room, knocking all of them back, and even a few were knocked out cold.

Beyond the huge vault-like door was the World Eater himself. I quickly cut through the door using precise slashes of my ki and found him hanging there from huge chains like that of a ship's anchor.

"Oh? What is this? A delivery service for delicious energy?" A grave and malevolent voice said.

His words alone gave me the chills. This was a being who had killed trillions of innocents. He had no aura, no power, and nothing to threaten me with. But it was intimidating, regardless.

Wasting no time, I activated Connoisseur Cut and slashed across his chest.

The evil goat-being groaned in pain, yet I found some of my energy being taken.

Magical Omni-energy Manipulation - S Tier - Sealed
Omni-Energy Sense - S Tier

A frown crossed my face. The three random options I got were incredible, but two of them were sealed and greyed out, unable to be selected. The seal was obviously from the Grand Supreme Kai who sacrificed most of his Godly power to seal Moro's Magical power. I grabbed his Omni-Energy Sense for now, which sounds amazing. I slashed him again, ignoring the threats and screams that he spat at me.

It seemed that I would have to remove the Kai's seal or be unable to take his power. I grabbed Relaxed State, but I didn't know what it did besides that it was some sort of Ki Technique. I will investigate it later.

I kept slashing him, but he didn't have any more serious abilities. I needed his magical ones to progress. If I consumed him like I did Cell there was no guarantee that I would access his abilities. What is more, if I released the Grand Kai's Seal then he might be able to steal dangerous amounts of power. I did have Forced Spirit Fusion, but I would have to be relentless and ruthless if that was the case.

Moro hung there pitifully swinging by the huge chains. I was almost stuck with analysis paralysis but I decided to ensure that he wasn't hiding any energy.

Striking forward, my fists rained down like orbital bombardments, each strike doing enough damage for me to shove my energy into him. Forced Spirit Fission was activated and I felt the disgusting acts that had stained his soul. Each punch pulled at his energy pool, but what was more, was the screams.

Not from Moro, but the countless and endless souls he had absorbed. I could feel their pain as they were finally released to rest in peace, some even projecting gratitude toward me. Many of the spirits being released were just confused and lost, floating away before dissipating. I felt auras appear behind me, though none seemed to want to step up.

I continued to drop my fists into the beaten goat-man and it went on for nearly 5 minutes before the last of the consumed spirits were released. The very last hit was a Connoisseur Cut, which let me grab World Eater as my Forced Spirit Fission broke the Grand Kai's Seal.

It didn't feel good.

As I stopped, Moro hung limply in his chains and one of the people behind me, presumably a prison guard, tried to paralyze me with a stun gun of sorts. I didn't even feel more than a bit of energy impact me.

I immediately recognized his voice.

"Stand down! Who are you and what are you doing?" Merus the Angel in training said.

Turning enough to see, I got an eyeful of weapons that were all leveled at my back. I even recognized some of the officers, one was Jaco and another was Irico who was an officer who took Vegeta to Planet Yardrat in the Manga.

"I was releasing the souls he consumed, so that they may rest in piece. Now I am going to end him, once and for all!" I almost didn't recognize my voice, the fury of Moro's atrocities was already weighing on my soul.

My hand was still ignited with Connoisseur Cut, and I slashed him again, grabbing the other powerful Magical ability. Simultaneously, I activated Forced Spirit Fission and stole the magical energy he was taking from my cascading aura.

"STOP! You do not have the authority to do that!" Merus yelled.

"Authority?! Only a Majin like me is capable of eliminating the World Eater! I am the only one with the ability to do so," I replied, trying to split my attention between the prison guards at my back and Moro at my front.

"Back away from him now! Power down and put your hands on your head!" Merus replied.

My eyes narrowed, "You wouldn't be trying to interfere in mortal problems, would you, Angel?"

Merus' eyes went wide in shock, "Who are you? How do you know that?"

I caught his fellow officers exchanging glances in confusion, but I didn't have time to reply when Moro screamed a terrifying scream. My energy was pulled into him at an obscene speed. "Damn!"

I quickly formed a Hungry Beam and aimed it at him... the World Eater ate my magical attack.

"Good, give me more!" Moro's broken voice screamed out.

"No!" I charged him and he released a blast from his mouth. I deflected the blast into the wall and dust surrounded us. It didn't matter, I had a perfect lock on his soul and he couldn't move more than lifting his head. Once again I beat Moro with Forced Spirit Fission infused strikes.

I quickly realized that beyond just the recuperation of my energy that Moro ate, I began to also steal some of the few amounts he had saved deep within himself.

The magical ability, World Eater, was activating. I pushed down on it and punched him one more time. His jaw seemed to dislocate as he took the beating, then I caved in his chest. I quickly pulled my energy back from him and charged another Hungry Beam.

I was getting nervous now, if Merus intervened he could ruin this whole thing. Slamming my foot into the broken jaw of Moro, I kept his head pinned away as the Hungry Beam finished charging. I shot him dead in his ruined chest with it and the pink energy completely encased him. I let my foot drop as the change happened.

A small blue cupcake fell to the floor. I smiled as I took my first bite. Did I just beat Moro, the World Eater?

The dust cleared as I gobbled down the cupcake, nothing tasted so good and so bad as this single confection.

The prison outside of the destroyed door of Moro's cell was heavily damaged. The magical and ki attack that Moro unleashed, cut deep through the prison cells, killing hundreds of prisoners. Thankfully, the angle I split the beam fully missed all of the guards who were directly behind me.

I kept my power level as high as I could, waiting for Merus to speak or attack.

"Is he gone?" Merus asked.

"Yes," I replied as something within me began to change.

It felt like it did with Cell, but it was different. I was able to control it to some degree, but my power was rising, and fast. I had to leave immediately.

Luckily, I was ready for this. The Majin Throne was hopefully parked on a desolate planet a few systems over with a tiny amount of atmosphere. "I need to leave, the energy I just consumed has to be released. I am moving to this planet here," I held out a slip of paper with the coordinates in the Galactic Patrol designation system.

"You can't leave, not yet," Merus said.

The tension in the room built amongst the groaning prisoners who lived and the guards trying to get things under control. "I don't have a choice. It's that or the energy gets released...I am sorry!"

The power began to surge, my aura reigniting fully, blasting back the metal door, and sending unpowered guards sliding away on the metallic floors.

"Let your power drop, and stand down," Merus said, easily standing against my energy.

"I am sorry, I have to leave, find me on that planet," I said and quickly found 16's energy. Using Instant Transmission, I appeared next to him.

He had been standing outside of the Majin Throne, raising his power level high enough so I could lock onto it quickly.

His worried frown stared at me, "21...your eyes...they are turning black."

"You might want to get out of here, the Galactic Patrol might be coming, but they don't seem hostile," My power continued to billow out from me and I took off at speeds that I had never achieved before. In what felt like less than a second I was in another hemisphere on this empty planet crashing like a meteor.

"Uuhhhhhhaahahhhhhhhhh!" I screamed as I fully lost control of my energy. Darkness covered my vision, and I lost consciousness.

~o*o~

Android 16 was shocked as 21 appeared in front of him. Her power was beyond anything he had felt before, so much greater than it was when she fought Cell. His sensors didn't have time to fully analyze his Her eyes were closed and as they opened he grew worried. The white sclera of her blue eyes began to turn black as dark tendrils crept up from the sides.

When the dark tendrils reached her irises, they turned red.

16 found himself stepping back from her, knowing that she needed to release the power before it fully took her over. In a flash of energy, she disappeared, a red and black trail streaked off to the other side of the planet.

He turned and flew back into the Majin Throne, activating the powerful magical engines and backing out of the thin atmosphere and into orbit. He had whatever systems in this strange ship lock onto the position where 21 landed. The screen popped up and it showed a massive crater where the dust was still settling.

Inside the crater was a swirling mass of red and black energy as quakes began to radiate from his location. 16 could hardly do more than just watch what was happening with frustration coursing through him.

Things grew worse as the surface of the planet around her began to warp and buckle. In less than 2 minutes, huge flows of lava began to erupt onto the surface. The very life energy of the planet began to rise to the surface, adding to the ki and magic swirling around her. The screen had readings on the status of the planet, it had already moved off of its axis by 5 degrees.

Worldwide quakes began to shatter the crust, and what was a desolate beige planet, quickly turned into a hellscape of fire and lava. The very air began to ignite in the swirling maelstrom of power around her.

A ship from Galactic Patrol pinged the systems on his console. He quickly warned them not to enter the atmosphere on account of 21 losing control. They seemed to just sit back and watch after that.

16 got a notification that another source of energy appeared. Another screen locked onto it to find Goku had appeared in the region around 21. He visibly yelped on screen and dodged a column of lava that erupted from the screen. There was no way to contact him so he could only hope the fighter would survive.

Goku powered up to Super Saiyan, but it wasn't enough to draw 21's attention. He powered up further, the energy of his transformation as he ascended to Super Saiyan 2, was enough.

Android 21 turned to him.

~o*o~

"Hey! 21! I felt your power up all the way from- Whoa!" Goku dodged a column of lava. "21! Are you alright?"

The mysterious Majin either couldn't hear or wasn't listening. Her screams were filled with pain and rage and Goku could only marvel at the power. He flashed into Super Saiyan, followed quickly by Super Saiyan 2. It had been quite a while since he pushed himself against Cell, and his power had only grown. He pushed further than he had ever done so before, feeling incredible strength began to rage through him.

It was enough to get the out-of-control Android's attention. She stopped screaming, and a look of unbelievable pain crossed her face. "G-Goku?"

"Heya, 21, quite the power level you have there. Is everything alright?"

She shook her head, "You need to run, I can't control it!"

"I see, well you need to get it under control, right now!" Goku said as his power rose.

"There is no stopping it, I just have to let it out!" 21 replied, the stress taking over. Magma, ki, and magic blasted around her. Goku's eyes widened as some of the energy began to stream towards him.

"What are you doing!?" Goku's energy began to skyrocket, somehow increasing through energy transfer from 21.

It was too much energy, to the point that it was destroying 21's body, even if it seemed to be regenerating just as fast. This was not sustainable and would either end in both of their deaths or the destruction of the world they stood on. Goku did all he could and yelling at 21 was getting him nowhere.

He figured there was only one option left to him, and that was to knock her back to her senses!

"Kaaaaaaa!" Goku began to charge up, pulling his hands to the right of him.

"Meeeh," His energy began to coalesce in his hands, a bright blue ball of pure ki.

"Haaaaaaa," He had finally drawn 21's attention, though her eyes were different and she wasn't entirely coherent.

"Mehhhhhhhh," The android didn't try to charge anything of her own, but instead just released more and more energy that wanted to claw its way back into her.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Goku released the strongest Kamehameha Wave he had ever released, headed right at Android 21. He lost sight of her, but if he could see her through the huge blast of blue ki, then he would notice a casual hand lifting to catch the orb.

She didn't try to push back, instead, she just stopped it. Goku kept pushing Ki into it, yet the orb began to shrink all the same.

"She's eating the ki!" He realized and quickly cut off the stream, the orb destabilized and exploded. The crater 21 had begun to grow like the ground was becoming unstable. More explosive eruptions of lava continued to release in shockwaves, extending miles off of the central crater.

Goku flew up next to her, immediately taking damage from her emanation of whatever energies she had access to. He didn't hesitate, delivering a flying kick to the side of her face. The kick knocked her back a few feet but didn't have as much of an effect as he would have liked.

"21! Snap out of it!"

The Majin didn't seem to respond until she swiped her left hand out in a casual gesture. A tidal wave of energy flew off, causing Goku to dodge.

He used Instant Transmission, the recent time training at Yardrat allowed him much more control and speed with the powerful technique. Appearing behind 21, he released another devastating kick, this time to the back of 21's head. He was trying to knock her out in hopes of stopping the energy flow.

His foot met an unmovable object as she had somehow braced for the impact. 21 didn't sit idly this time, she quickly spun into the air and delivered her roundhouse kick to the Saiyan's chest. Goku was knocked back but had enough energy flowing through him that it wasn't damaging.

A huge smile broke out on Goku's face, "Alright! Now this is something I can relate to!"

He flashed forward at 21 and began to attack with the ferocity of a storm. 21 dodged everything to start but started to get into the rhythm of the fight. She blocked a few punches and finally retaliated with one of the combos she used against Cell. It was effective as she punched twice, then kicked, then spun, and slammed her tail into him afterward. Each attack came with more power and ferocity.

21 had pushed Goku back, but the Saiyan wasn't finished and slammed forward. 21 blocked, but was still pushed back. The fight continued, and a staccato of blasts and shockwaves began to thoroughly destroy the surface of the unnamed planet. For almost 3 minutes the fight continued, but it was after a last clash that Goku began to suspect that something wasn't quite right.

His form had dimmed and his attacks were doing less and less. It continued until his form dropped from Super Saiyan 2, down to 1.

"She's eating my power!" Goku realized.

~o*o~

"Did she really destroy Moro?" Irico asked.

Merus nodded, "Moro has a distinct energy signature, even when he is hiding it. Whatever she did...it ended him, body and soul."

"I couldn't see it through the smoke, but it was some sort of energy emanation that did it," Jaco said, visibly frustrated at the incident.

Three Galactic Patrol Officers left the Galactic Patrol Headquarters in the wake of the strange pink woman who had apparently defeated the most dangerous person to have ever existed in the galaxy, maybe even the universe. They had quickly left the station with the approval of Command, to follow her. The system wasn't too far away and they would be there in a few minutes.

"Why did she say she needed to leave?" Jaco asked.

"She didn't say. But I had the impression it had something to do with her power going out of control," Merus replied.

Irico was on the controls, "I haven't seen anything like that before. Those beams of power, that crazy pressure coming off of her. Black and red...it couldn't seem any more ominous despite doing something good. I just can't get my head around it."

"Indeed, she seemed sincere, but also...some deeper motivation is behind it, though it had nothing to do with Moro, I am sure."

"What do you mean?" Jaco asked.

"She beat Moro with an untold amount of violence. It was disturbing. He was a broken thing before she arrived at the station, but she arrived there all the same and immediately began to attack him. Whatever her reasons for doing what she did, I believe her when she said that Moro is gone."

After a minute or so of silence, they found a strangely ostentatious starship, looking like a massive cruiser of some sort. It was dark with strange iridescence shimmering in the reflected light. Golden highlights wrapped around the ship in an elegant design. As they approached, they got a good look at the ship and Merus revealed that writing on the side to say Majin Throne.

Irico accessed his communications and pinged the ship, "This is the Galactic Patrol, we are looking for the Majin that was at the prison, is she on this ship?"

A stern and almost robotic monotone voice replied, "She is on the surface of the planet. It is not safe for you to land there now."

The connection was cut, but they turned the sensors to the surface. The ship cameras found where the disturbance on the surface was with no problem. "Holy sh-" Irico was interrupted by Jaco.

"She is going to destroy the planet!"

"At least she game to a deserted one," Merus said.

They watched as another person arrived, who seemed to be another powered individual. The man's aura blasted in contrast to the black and red coming from the Majin, along with the profuse amounts of lava erupting all around them. It was hard to tell at first, but it looked like they were talking until the golden one launched a massive energy beam at the other. They began to fully fight and the camera couldn't keep up with their movements.

Merus could sense the power between them, nothing like the levels he had trained with as an Angel, but it was still impressive. Galactic threats in power, no doubt.

"You think the golden one is trying to knock her out? Trying to get her to calm down?" Irico asked.

"It's unclear, but I can tell you that it isn't going well for the golden one. His power is dropping by the second," Merus said.

Jaco and Irico knew that Merus had strange abilities, including however he was able to read the 'power levels' of those on the surface.

"I need to go down there," Merus said.

"Are you crazy? They are going to crack the planet open like an egg!" Irico said.

"He's right boss, it can't be safe down there," Jaco said.

"If she is a good person, then she probably needs help, same with the golden one. I can't let them die down there!"

The ship they were on was big enough to have an airlock and Merus cycled through it, flying away from the vessel at speeds that shouldn't be possible.

"He truly is amazing," Jaco said.

Irico smirked but didn't reply. They were in for a show if Merus was getting involved.
