Not much to say other than hi. This one should be pretty fun as far as character interactions go. (I had to cut this one shorter than i expected. I'm having way too much fun with this fic.)

Review:

Some1call4MR-E: I do appreciate your consistent reviews. I remember back when I did fanfiction 6 years ago, people used to review my stories a LOT more frequently. Whether that's due to the relevancy of what I'm writing, or just maybe that people don't read fanfiction as much these days. And I appreciate the little history lesson on FFnet bots. They are annoying, yes and I hate to admit that I fell for the first one. But I figured it out once I looked at their profile. (I'm used to these bots, they also target Twitch streamers). As for the story. YES. I'm excited for Penny's final body when we get there. She's NOT staying in just Omochao (even though Omochao would break the rwby world with the logic I gave it.) It's gonna be amazing, I promise.

A Hedgehog's Dream

Sonic and Bléu took their time getting to Green Hill Zone. The Blue Blur was using his new friend's slowness as an excuse to run around and stretch his legs. They made detour after detour, going at an agonizingly slow pace.

"Sonic, shouldn't we be more worried about the factory that Knuckles told us about?" The younger hedgehog shouted out to the blue hero. "Why are you lagging behind?"

Sonic stopped by a food stand that he had just saved, causing the blue blur to smile. "Hey! Long time no see!" He said to the familiar man who worked the stand.

"Sonic, where in the world did you go?!" Bléu frowned. She may be the younger of the two, but it seemed like she was the only one taking this whole 'war' thing seriously. How could this so-called hero be slacking off in a war zone? "SONIC! We HAVE to go fight!" The annoyed girl shouted as she used her burst and lightning Wispons to tear through robots.

Sonic blurred in front of the impatient silver-eyed girl. He did a slow moonwalk towards his new friend "I have been in captivity for six months, there are two things I WANT to do. First, I want a Mobian Chili Dog, and second." He zipped away, thanked the man for his services, and zipped back to the Bléuberry. "I want someone to enjoy one with me." He presented two steaming hot dogs.

"What… What in the world is a Chili Dog? We don't have anything like this on Remnant…" She takes the hot dog in hand and raises a brow.

"You don't have Chili Dogs?!" Sonic looked visibly disturbed by the Bléunette's words.

"I mean, we have chili, but what is this… dog? You guys don't eat dogs here, do you?! That's messed up!" Bléu was now the mortified one as she dropped her Chili Dog. She thought back to Ruby's cute little corgi, she couldn't bear the thought of adorable little Zwei getting chopped up and served.

Sonic gasped and quickly grabbed the delicious dog before it hit the floor. "No no no, that's just the name for it. Chili Dogs are the greatest creation to ever have been created. The pinnacle of culinary cuisine! First, a fresh bun, then, the hot dog, they're made of all sorts of animal parts, the tasty kind! Ironically, no dog meat. Then, you top it with delectable chili, onions, and not to mention the cheese." Sonic took a bite of his chili dog, his eyes tearing up as he finally tasted his first Chili Dog after six long agonizing months. "Oh man… so good."

"Hmm… You know what, good enough for me." She swipes it out of his hand and takes a small bite. "Oh… Oh, I get it."

"RIGHT?!"

"I'm not too big on spicy chili myself… but whatever meat is in this hot dog thing, this… amalgamation is doing that funny brain thing, wow…" Bléu began taking more and more bites, devouring the delectable juicy dog. "That was pretty good… but we should really get going."

"Fine, fine." Sonic tossed the rest of his Chili Dog into his mouth and licked his fingers before giving a thumbs up, "Before we go though, I think I'm gonna show you a few tricks. Have you ever wanted to do a spin dash?"

"A spin what-now?"

With Shadow, Tails, and Vector

Team Dark Chaotix Hero moved through the jungle in unison. These three never typically hang out with one another, so they were surprised by how well they worked together. Tails provided support from the sky, Vector was the muscle, and Shadow kept everything going smoothly with his speed.

"Shadow, what did ya say this place was again?" The crocodile asked as they all grinded on some vine rails.

"I was here a few months before Sonic went missing. G.U.N. thinks that there could be something that was missed here. Some leftover research for Eggman's newest weapon." Shadow replied.

"Sonic…" Tails muttered to himself.

"Hey! Don't worry! Sonic will be back before ya know it. By the time we finish up here, he'll probably be at the base!" Vector tried to reassure the fox boy as they jumped off the vines and landed a bit away from the research facility.

"I sure hope so… I'm not sure what I'll do if Sonic doesn't come back…" Tails and the others had to lose their communicators to cut off any radio waves and hide their presence. The sooner Eggman knows that they're here, the easier it'll be for him to destroy the research before the team can get it.

It was a straight line to the back door of the secret base, but it was a bit far away. "We should walk, that way I can make sure we don't run into any traps." The techno-wizard fox stated as he pulled out a peculiar device and scanned the area.

Nodding, the three boys walked forward. A few minutes go by and Vector gets bored. "So… How have you guys been doing? I don't think I've seen much of either of you since Sonic's birthday last year.

"I mean, aside from the 'Sonic being dead' thing, I've been okay…" With the silence of Shadow, things got awkward quickly. "Hey, Shadow. I have a question." Tails said as they walked.

"Hm?"

"This isn't really related to what we're doing, but I just wanted to clear the air between us. Do you hate me?"

Shadow looked back at the twin-tailed fox and gave him a confused side-eye. "I harbor no strong feelings towards you either way." They kept walking before Shadow continued. "I suppose I admire your keen intellect and how you were capable of creating the fake Chaos Emerald."

Blinking, Tails was not expecting a response like that. "Wait, then why does it feel like every time we interact, you beat me up."

"You just happen to be in the way a lot," Shadow replied and continued. "That fake Emerald was useful again when I ran into Sonic in the White Space."

"Wait, what do you me-"

Shadow's eyes widened as he saw something behind Tails. He spun around and kicked the poor fox boy in the back of the head to push him to the ground. "GET DOWN."

"You see! Like that! Did you HAVE to kick me in the head to push me out of the way?!"

Shadow teleported out of the way of an incoming beam of energy. "A Chaos Spear?" The Grimm-colored hedgehog saw as the energy spear faded into the jungle. He looked over and saw the face of a Jackal he hadn't seen in a very long time. "You!…" He landed next to Tails. "On your feet, fox!"

Tails pulled himself up and rubbed the back of his head. "Ow… what's going on?"

Vector and Shadow got ready for a fight; they got into their fighting stances and stood against the jackal. With a wicked grin on his face, the jackal pulled out a Chaos Emerald. Everyone went wide-eyed as he lifted it into the air and declared. "CHAOS CONTROL!"

He teleported behind Shadow, kicking the science experiment in the head. Shadow was sent flying into a tree, but he managed to correct himself and kicked off the tree.

Vector went in for a punch with the jackal returning a punch. Even without an Emerald, the crocodile was able to keep up with the manic animal that suddenly started attacking them.

Shadow slid next to Tails on his aid shoes and helped the fox up. "There's no chance that he might be using the fake emerald that I made, is there?"

Shadow grunted from the pain of that kick. "No, I took the fake from the ARK and I still have it. That's the real Emerald."

"Wow, Vector is a lot stronger than I thought then."

"Or that man is just weak." Shadow narrowed his eyes as he pulled out the purple Chaos Emerald. "You go on ahead, we'll be able to handle this. Just find the doctor's research before he gets the chance to react!"

Tails nodded and began spinning his tails, flying off to the hidden facility. Shadow skated back over to the fight and fought the jackal.

Back in Green Hill

Sonic and Bléu finally made it to the Arsenal Pyramid in Green Hill Zone. It was a brisk morning, Bléu sighed as she realized that she had been up all night. "I should be asleep right now." The Bléuberry complained.

Sonic, with a grin and a thumbs up, mistook Bléu's exasperated demeanor for nervousness. "Hey, don't be scared! This is your moment to shine!"

[Some reinforcements just got back. I can send them over to you if you don't think Bléu can handle it.] Knuckles' voice said over the intercom.

"No way! Bléu will be just fine with me. I'm sure she'll show what she's got on her own." He turned off the intercom, looked over to his new friend, and flashed another smile, trying to inspire her. "Right, partner?"

Bléu let out an agitated sigh, "Mm… sure, not like I EVER want things to be easy." The sarcasm was loud and clear in her voice before she curled up into a ball and started spinning.

Sonic frowned slightly as he heard Bléu's words. [Where did that come from?] He thought to himself as he also turned into a ball and they both spin dashed their way into the army of robots. Both of the blue hedgehogs blasted through the cannon fodder. Bléu used her two wispons to burn and melt Eggman's forces to the ground, while Sonic used his sheer speed to simply smash the bots to pieces.

Cracking open a red Burst Wisp container, Bléu saw as the little Wisp went to his friend in her red Wispon and provided a little boost, thinking back to what she could do, she thought back to the sisters back at Beacon. She sleeved the lightning Wispon and got out one of her Viel Klau. She pointed the burst Wispon away and used it just like Crescent Rose or Ember Celica, using boosted momentum to her advantage and using her claws to tear through the robots.

The extra Wisp power-up didn't last long, but damn if it didn't feel slightly nostalgic to use momentum again. These Wisps were strong and reliable, but Dust had a tiny bit more kick to it. All the more reason to hold onto her remaining crystals for emergencies.

Sonic smiled as he saw his new buddy working the scene and helping out despite her initial protest.

They battled their way through the entrance and jumped over the gate that showed the giant pathway that led up to the tip of the pyramid. On that path were hundreds, maybe even thousands of robots running at the two blue hedgehogs. "Yikes… guess we should find another way in."

Sonic smirks, "Actually, you mentioning your red girlfriend and how she's quick gives me an idea. But you're gonna need to be a whole lot faster for this." Bléu raised a brow and looked at the mysterious blue hero. "You're not the only blue hedgehog that jumps around the multiverse." He gave the Bléunette his signature cocky smirk. "I picked this trick up from another speedster in a Flashy red suit that… ALMOST beat me in a race. Jump, turn into a ball, and get ready to run… I'll handle the rest."

Bléu saw as the robots were approaching at a rapid pace. She wanted to just find another way in, but after what she saw on the Death Egg, Bléu couldn't help but satisfy her curiosity. Rolling her eyes, she did as she was told and jumped into a ball.

Sonic jumped alongside her and began spinning. He got faster and faster, generating blue electricity. His body began glowing blue. Bléu was expecting to drop down into a spin dash like he taught her earlier, but this was different. She also began spinning faster and faster, Bléu gasped as she felt herself getting hit with adrenaline, adrenaline-laced with what could only be described as some illegal drug that the world of RWBY would have… Bocaine?

The dark green quills on her head and back began to glow a bright neon green color as she spun. Power cursed through Bléu's veins as she was charged up with a boatload of speed. She stopped spinning and uncurled from her hedgehog ball. She was floating, her eyes trickling with blue lightning as she looked at Sonic, starstruck.

"I can't do this alone even though I'm strong. I need something more than me, someone, to push me to victory. C'mon dude, up high?" Both hedgehogs were suspended in the air. Feeling more alive than she'd ever felt, Bléu couldn't help but smile and meet his high-five. Sonic's grin widened before he shouted.

"Double BOOST!"

They hit the ground running and blasted off. They surrounded themselves in a barrier and blew apart any robot lackey that got in their way.

"Yeah! You got it! Just keep breaking through your limits and keep moving forward!"

Within seconds, the small army of egg pawns was reduced to scrap as the two supersonic hogs made it to the top of the pyramid. Sonic pressed the button on his communicator and spoke into it. "Bingo, found the entrance." He said coolly as they jumped and began to descend slowly, using their quills to slow their descent as they fell into the factory within.

Amy chirped in from the comms and her voice happily echoed in the tunnel around them. [That's my Sonic! Just be careful!]

The blue and green hedgehog began to lose the built-up energy that Sonic lent her. Her body returned to normal as she came down from the high of being as fast as Sonic. "HOLY CRAP. THAT WAS SO FUCKING AWESOME." Bléu glided past a laser and grabbed onto Sonic, shaking him! "We gotta do that again! If you do it again, we can just destroy this whole place!"

Sonic laughed and held onto his excited new friend. "Haha, sorry, can't do that unless you want your body to go into shock."

Bléu frowned when Sonic explained this. "Dang. Still, that was cool. What was that?"

"I just lent you some of my speed, it's temporary, but it's a handy ability when I'm with a slower friend." They landed in the factory and started wrecking the place. Combining Sonic's abilities and Bléu's arsenal, they quickly went from room to room, smashing bots whenever they came across them. Finally arriving at one of the main production areas, Sonic smirked as he got ready to smash everything to bits, cracking his knuckles.

"Wait… Sonic! Can we take a break?"

"In… the middle of Eggman's biggest factory that anyone has ever seen before?" Sonic jumped into a Buzz Bomber. "Sure, why not."

Bléu ran over to the tools that were making the robots. Her eyes scanned the room as she procured what she needed. "I won't be long, just cover me." Bléu was back in her usual slump as the adrenaline finally faded. She sighed as even her tinkering did nothing to cheer herself up.

Sonic noticed this as he cleared the room. Earning a few minutes of silence, Sonic made his way over to the Bléuberry. "Alright, what's got you singing the blues?"

"The what?" Bléu side-eyed The Blue Blur as she worked. She sighed and took off her Viel Klaue, shaking her head, the former human girl let out a sigh. "I mean, aside from the fact I haven't slept in like two days, I hate how much fun you're forcing me to have." She said as she did some wibbly shit here.

"Well, that's a new one. When I hang out with most of my look-alikes, they usually just grumble and give me dirty looks… or you know, try and kill me."

"But that's the thing. I'm not even close to you or your friends. I'm not the adventuring type like my Ruby and her sister. I'm not the edgy cool type like Blake or Shadow. I never WANTED to be a Huntress, my Mom forced me into it!" She pulled out both Wispons and began doing some wobbly shit there. "I feel guilty for having fun. They're the ones who should be on this cool adventure with a guy who's basically a superhero straight from a comic book. I can only imagine what they're going through, thinking that Penny's dead."

Sonic blinked, Bléu was certainly the most deep-thinking look-alike. "Well, that doesn't seem very fair to you. Everyone deserves a chance to have a fun adventure. and I'm sure there's plenty of people who are missing you too! You kind of remind me of my best friend, he's really into inventing things and mechanical stuff like you."

Bléu frowned and put her tools down, looking Sonic in the eye. "Then there's that!"

"Wha-"

"You! You were tortured and locked up for six months! Your freedom was taken away from you. You're back for not even two hours and you're all smiles and confidence! Like you just read the best inspirational quote ever made!"

Sonic was silent, allowing her to vent.

"I was out doing what I hear you do every day! Running around in this crazy world filled with giant pinball machines, loopty loops! I don't even wanna think about what happened in Pumpkin Hill!"

"Pumpkin Hill?] Sonic and Amy asked in unison.

Bléu grabbed hold of the blue hero, grabbing his shoulders, and looking him dead in the eyes. "I'm a traumatized mess from just trying to survive here! How? How do you do it?" The girl was nearly on the verge of tears.

[Rookie! Snap out of it, you-] Knuckles was cut off by Amy. "Hey!"

"Just listen." The pink hedgehog frowned as they looked back at the screen.

Sonic blinked as Bléu finally let out all of her bottled feelings. "I-" Sonic was interrupted by a Death Egg Robot that smashed down a wall. It began charging up its laser, but Sonic jumped into action and spun straight into its eye. It was about to shoot that massive laser, but Sonic was just fast enough to use a Homing Attack on the bot and destroy it.

"I really wish I had a better answer than what I think you're looking for… but you're thinking too hard about it." Sonic The Hedgehog slid down the robot and landed next to the young Huntress. "Disappointing people just isn't my style. As long as I can still run, I know that I can still make a difference."

Bléu was taken aback. Finally starting to understand what this force of nature before her was; Sonic was quite literally 'just like those heroes in the books.' like Ruby would always gush about. Bléu sighed, remembering where they were. "Dang… you ARE the inspirational quote." Despite her conflicting emotions, the cynical girl finally cracked the first genuine smile before continuing her weapon modifications.

Sonic did his signature nose scratch and chuckled. "Hehe, I try."

The Jungle

Tails made it to the back entrance of the secret base. As soon as he hacked the door open, sirens began blaring. This isn't typically how the brainy fox handles problems, but he didn't have the time to do things the smart way. He pulled out his arm cannon and got ready to fight his way through this facility.

Shadow and Vector were locked in combat with the mysterious jackal. "You DO remember me!" The black and white edgy furry laughed as he clashed with the Ultimate Lifeform. "I AM strong enough for you now! I've been training ever since that day!"

Shadow had a mini flashback of when he first visited this facility. This jackal was the leader of a mercenary group that was hired by Eggman. His eyes were bloodshot, manic with his obsession to defeat the black hedgehog. "And now I'm stronger than you!"

Vector circled around the jackal and went in for a tail whip. This broke the clash between the edgy fur bags and knocked the jackal on his back foot. "Shadow, who is this guy?" Shadow frowned in silence as he truthfully didn't know his name.

"You don't even remember my name! That's…" The jackal fixed his footing and scrunched his face even more. "I was so insignificant that you don't even remember my name!" He looked down at the yellow emerald in his hand and his entire body shook. He growled, enraged with his own failure. "But with this Emerald and the others… I'll become Infinite… no…" He looked up at his enemies. "No, for the last moments of your lives, you may call me… ALMIGHTY."

With a newfound rush of power, Almighty quickly closed in on his enemies and kicked Vector away. He grabbed Shadow by the white fluff and slammed the Ultimate Lifeform into the ground, lifting him and slamming Shadow back down a few times until the black hedgehog threw a Chaos Spear at the crazed man's legs.

Vector bounced back and pincered the Almighty Jackal with Shadow. They both rushed their attacker with a flurry of punches and kicks while Almighty dodged and parried their attacks.

Shadow frowned as they were struggling to land a lot of blows. The jackal turned out to be telling the truth, he had been training. This fight was taking longer than Shadow expected.

Almighty grabbed one of Shadow's fists and twisted it as he kicked Vector away. "Chaos!"

"Control!" Both Shadow and Almighty went into Time Stop mode with their Chaos control. Vector stopped falling in midair as the two Chaos users continued their battle. They went blow for blow, evenly matched as they fought in the stopped time. They each went for a right hook, time resumed the moment that they landed their punches on each other's faces.

They knocked each other back, both breathing heavily, and all three fighters landed in the grass at the same time. "Huff… Huff… just, stay down and DIE!" He began to glow with red Chaos energy. Shadow went wide-eyed as he recognized what this was. He looked over to Vector who was still getting back on his feet.

"CHAOS BLAST."

Tails heard the explosion in the distance, he was worried for his friends, but he pushed forward and made it to a control room. He started tapping away on a computer, pulling up files.

[Oh no you don't! Tails?!] Eggman's voice boomed from the computer. He could see what was going on and immediately tried to burn the research files that Tails had found.

The yellow fox typed rapidly on the keys as he started downloading the files on something labeled 'Phantom Ruby.' The rivaling 300 IQ brains clashed through their wits and technical expertise. They've done this song and dance time and again, almost as many times as Eggman has with Sonic. However, Eggman was just as smart as Tails, he's won his fair share of hacking battles against the fox.

Tails began to sweat, his eyes narrowed as he began to worry that he wouldn't be able to download it in time. Then, a passing thought occurred, he knew that Sonic was alive and that he'd get to see his best friend soon. The 300 IQ fox locked in and used that inspiring will that he got from his brother to beat Eggman.

Panting rapidly, he pulled out the USB and smirked. "Guess I was a little bit faster this time, Baldy McNosehair!"

"Rrrgh… No matter! That data won't be enough to save you and your friends in just three short days!" A sudden change in Eggman's demeanor changed. "Hohohoho! It almost saddens me that we'll never do this again. I had fun losing to you one last time, Tails… You got me."

A cold sweat ran down Tails's cheek from the way Eggman spoke that last sentence. The speaker went dead and the fox left the facility, disturbed by the doctor's words.

Almighty stood in the ruins of their section of the Mystic Jungle. Trees had fallen down or disintegrated, the dirt had a crater in it, and Almighty had a smile on his face. That was until he noticed something goopy and purple that survived.

Shadow barely made it to Vector and protected him by turning into his Chaos Morph ability, swallowing Vector whole and taking the brunt of the explosion.

The red-striped hedgehog grunted as he managed to climb to his knees. The smile returned as Almighty walked towards his defeated enemy. "Very impressive. I wonder how long it will take for me to learn that ability." The jackal pondered. "But I've no need for a weakling such as yourself. Once I kill you, taking my vengeance for my defeat, I'll take your Emerald and use it to kill that damn red fox who stole my chance at another power…"

Shadow blinked as he could only think of one red fox that he could be talking about. That didn't matter right now. The Ultimate Lifeform pressed a button on his shoes and they began to glow yellow. Electricity formed around his Dust-powered Air Shoes as he suddenly kicked Almighty in the chin. Jumping up, his shoes glowed with black energy, and used Gravity Dust to propel himself forward, striking the jackal again with a powerful punch. This punch knocked the yellow Chaos Emerald out of Almighty. The shoes changed to a deep red and light blue before he kicked the air in front of him, shooting a blast of Fire Dust with one kick, and then Ice Dust to freeze the jackal from the neck down.

"No! I earned this power! The Emerald showed me the way!" The jackal was too weakened to break free.

Shadow walked over to the yellow Chaos Emerald and picked it up. Walking over to Almighty, he looked him in the eyes. "Revenge will only lead you to a path of pain and suffering." Pulling out the fake emerald that Tails made, he placed it in The Almighty Jackal's frozen hand. "You have grown much more powerful since the last time we faced off, Almighty. This fake Chaos Emerald isn't as powerful, but it will help you learn more about your powers."

Almighty frowned as he listened to Shadow. He struggled to break free and keep fighting with no success.

"Take your anger and throw it to the wind." Shadow turned to leave with Vector. "You have potential, don't waste it on such a foolish task."

Shadow and Vector headed to the secret base to meet back up with Tails. Almighty was left speechless as he was granted mercy.

I think the funniest part about Bléu being traumatized by Pumpkin Hill is that her girlfriend's birthday is on Halloween.

Fun fact: I came up with the name "Almighty" on the spot. If you're going to unironically make a cringe edgelord, might as well double down in the fanfic, right?
