The Cook and Mage From Musutafu

Chapter 2: Let's Start by Exploring the Forest

"What's wrong, Brother? Your face looks really scared like that time you found out you pissed on the sofa." Touki raised an eyebrow as he looked at his brother who looked like he was about to piss his pants.

"T-T-T-T-T-Tocchan… Thi-This is bad…" Izuku was shaking and sweating profusely out of fear.

"Calm down, Brother! Take a deep breath and tell me what's wrong!" Touki shouted as he shook his brother's body to snap him out of it.

Izuku listened to his brother's words and tried to calm down a little. He took a few deep breaths which successfully helped him to relax a little.

"T-Tocchan, i-if we fail to complete this quest… we'll d-die…" Izuku said as his voice was still shaking a little.

"So? What's so bad about dying inside a game? It's not like we would die in real life right? You sure worry a lot about the small things Brother," said Touki as he chuckled at his brother who he thought was being silly.

"No! Have you not realized it already?! This place actually might've been a real place and not a game! And if we die here, who knows what might happen to our 'real' body in the 'real' world! Worst case, we could 'actually' die!" Izuku explained with a slight annoyance at his brother who was being nonchalant about the serious situation.

"WHAT!!? Are you serious?! But how is that possible!? All we did was put on a VR Headset to play a game!!" Touki knew very well that he wasn't exactly the smartest person around but he knew that his brother, Izuku, wimpy as he may be, was one of the smartest person he knew and he always took it upon himself to believe everything his brother said even though he knew It sounded ridiculous.

"That's also what I've been asking. None of these felt real but here we are, actually being here." Izuku was starting to feel dizzy as he started to scratch his hair in frustration.

"Wait, but how do you know that this is not a game but an actual place, Brother?"

Izuku huffed a little. "Well, I guess I should explain everything from the beginning…"

Izuku then explained everything that made him suspect that they're now inside an actual place and not a game. Starting from how the System could take away their consciousness from their body and place them inside another body they called "Avatar", then how they don't have to be wearing the Headset to play the game like when he took off the Headset from Touki but he's still here inside the "game", then how the System never mentioned all these are a game and kept explicitly mentioned them to be transferred to another world, and lastly the fact that technology as advanced as this which could do all sort of unbelievable things such as mind readings, transferring a person's consciousness, or just the impossible ultra-realistic graphics of this world which are no different from the real world alone has never existed ever, at least as far as he know.

"If you put it that way, I guess it's kinda strange," said Touki with the expression like he's currently thinking with him rubbing his chin.

"Kinda you say!!? KINDA!??" Izuku was obviously irritated now by his brother's nonchalant behavior.

"Geez, sorry Brother. You're right, I guess it 'is' strange," Touki responded nervously while wearing a sheepish smile.

Izuku sighed. "Well, I guess that's that. But first of all, it's still just a theory. What we have to do now is make a plan of what we have to do from here."

"That's obvious isn't it? We just have to complete this Quest and Log Out!" Touki exclaimed as a-matter-of-factly.

"Yes, you're right. But first, I wanna confirm it first," Izuku responded as he was now already composed. "System, what will happen if we die here?"

If the players were to die here, then their consciousness will also die along with them making it impossible for the players to return to their original body, therefore their original body will also die.

Izuku widened his eyes in shock. He already guessed that it would be like this but still he'd wished that it wouldn't be true. And now that he already got his confirmation he couldn't help himself but be terrified. Due to the shock, he'd fallen on his butt as he felt like all his energy had left his body.

"B-Brother, the System said some stuff that's hard for me to understand, but I feel like it's not something good. W-what does this mean, Brother?" asked Touki groggily.

"I-it means… if we die here… we die in real life."

"S-so it's true…" Touki was now feeling as shocked as his brother. But just a second later, Touki had brightened up his mood and felt determined. "It's gonna be alright, Brother. You and I can definitely complete this Quest. With your smarts and my strengths, we can work our way together out of this pickle. I know we can do it!" said Touki with a tone full of determination.

Izuku felt himself snapped out of his moping after hearing his brother's words. He stood himself back up and put on a face full of determination. "Yeah, you're right Tocchan. There's no use in feeling down and moping around forever. There's nothing else to do but to move forward."

Congratulations! You have successfully increased the morale and confidence of another person.

WIS has increased by 1

A New Skill: Motivational Speech (Level 1) has been acquired

"Ohhh!! My stat increased! And I got a new skill!" Touki shouted excitedly as some screens suddenly appeared in front of him.

"What!? No way, it's true. Your WIS increased by 1 and you got a skill called 'Motivational Speech'. That's so cool!" Izuku was also excited as his eyes were practically beaming. "How did you do it? And what does the skill do? I guess it does as the name says but try showing the skill's description Tocchan!"

"Okay, Bro. System, show us the skill Motivational Speech's decrispy-"

"Description."

"-description please."

Motivational Speech (Level 1)

A Skill in which the user gives a speech to a certain target of audience(s) to increase their morale.

"Hmm, so I can encourage people who's feeling down with this skill, huh?" Touki was rubbing his chin as he was thinking what stuff he can do with this skill.

"That's right, Tocchan. You're basically a motivational speaker now. But how did you get the skill in the first place? There must be some kind of requirement for that to happen. It might be something that you do, or does it just randomly happen? Nah, that isn't likely. Say, that it was actually something that you do, what was it exactly that you do? Let's look at the things that happened before you acquired the skill. So, I asked what would happen if we die here to the system and I was feeling down when I found out we would also die in real life. Then you were saying-"

While his brother was busy doing his analytical mumbling, Touki was just standing there staring at his brother with a visible unamused expression. His brother has stayed in that state for quite a while now while he was covering his ears to avoid listening to the annoying sound. After what felt like eternity, he decided that it was time for it to stop. "Bro-"

"I GOT IT!!!"

"GYAHHH, YOU STARTLED ME!" Touki felt his heart almost jump out of his body when his brother suddenly screamed.

"Oops, sorry Tocchan. But now, I get how you acquired the skill and got your stat increased," Izuku exclaimed nonchalantly, oblivious of what he just got his brother through.

"Yeah, but you don't have to be so loud about it," Touki said while being irritated at his brother. "So, tell me then how did that happen."

"Okay, so you know how games reward players after they've done some kind of task right? I think it's like that. After I found out that we can actually die here, I was feeling down and dejected about it. And then you come up and say those things to motivate and cheer me up. And it worked, I felt better after hearing those words from you. And then, you got the Skill and Stat Increasement. I'd say that the skill that you get, correlates with the actions that you've done priorly. And after you succeeded, you get the skill. Also, the stat increasement is an addition to it. You'll get a Stat Increasement of what the Skill linked to. And in this case, after you motivated me and succeeded in making me feel better, you got the Skill 'Motivational Speech' and the Stat Increasement of WIS 1."

Congratulations! You have successfully made a correct deduction of the reason behind why your brother has acquired a Stat Increasement and a Skill.

INT has increased 1

A New Skill: Analytical Deduction (Level 1) has been acquired

"Ohhh, look, you got a skill Brother. That's amazing."

"Haha, you're right. This is awesome," Izuku said with a smile "Let's check the description first."

Analytical Deduction (Level 1)

A Skill in which the user makes a systemically logical reasoning process that uses evidence(s), fact(s) and data(s) to ultimately arrive at a conclusion(s).

"Hmm, it's as the name says," Izuku stated.

"Then, I guess this means that you're right, Brother."

"Yeah, after I analyzed how the mechanism works and made the right deduction, I got this Skill called 'Analytical Deduction' and my INT, in which the Skill is linked to, was also increased," concluded Izuku. "Then I guess from now on, we could try doing a bunch of different things to get some new Skills."

"Yeah, that's a good idea, let's do that," replied Touki. "Speaking of ideas, I also got an idea of how to complete this quest."

"An idea? And that is?"

"We should hunt monsters!" Answered Touki excitedly.

"Monsters?" replied Izuku as he gulped down his throat as he felt a bit scared.

"Yeah, you see the 'Daily Challenge' that appeared with the Quest, right? From what it's saying in the rewards, we could get Exp by hunting monsters. And Exp is what we need to level up, right?"

"Y-yeah, you're right. But hunting monsters could be dangerous. W-what if they attack us? We could get hurt. W-worst case scenario… W-we… could… d-die…" Izuku replied as he felt more terrified when he imagined them both being attacked by monsters. He actually thought about the same idea before but he was uncertain that it would be a good idea.

"Then we should just not die. Don't worry Brother, I'll protect you no matter what. I won't let any monsters hurt you at all cost."

"I won't be the slightest bit happy at all about you getting hurt for my sake!"

"Geez, of course I won't let myself get hurt so willy-nilly Bro."

"But still…"

"Tsk, then do you have any other ideas, Brother?" asked Touki with a slightly irritated tone. He knew his brother was also worried about him but he couldn't help but think that it might be a bit too much sometimes, and that could hinder their own progress.

"We could try asking the System about it." answered Izuku. He was feeling a bit hopeful that the System will tell them a safer way to raise their level.

Touki replied with a nod.

"System, how do we gain Exp and raise our levels?"

There's various ways for players to gain Exp and raise their levels. Explore and advance the world further to find out more.

"Gahhh!!! This System is really useless sometimes! FUCKING USELESS TRASH!!!" Izuku was pissed as he was painfully screaming and scratching his hair in frustration.

Meanwhile, Touki was staring wide eyed at his brother as he was being surprised and taken aback by his brother's reaction. "Wow, that's the first time I've heard you swear, Brother."

"Ughh… Don't tell Mom, okay? I just can't help it given our situation. Ughh, this is the worst. I've never felt this angry before."

"But you have, tho."

"Really, when?"

"You don't remember, huh? Well, that's not important. Now that it has come to this, there's no choice other than hunting monsters, right?"

"I… guess you're right." Izuku let out a sigh of defeat. Now that his hope has been crushed, there's no other choice but to deal with it the hard way. "The system told us there's various ways to gain EXP but we don't know what they are. The only thing we know is to hunt monsters."

"Told ya so, right? Then, let's go and find some monsters!"

Touki was about to walk off as he turned his body around but he was stopped by Izuku.

"Wait a second! Do you even know how to hunt monsters?" asked Izuku.

"Of course! We find some monsters, catch them, and kill them," answered Touki.

"And, do you know how to do that? Do you know what kind of monsters are here? Do you know where the monsters are? Do you know how to catch them? Do you know how to kill them? Can you defeat them and kill them? What if the monsters are much stronger than us?"

"Geezz, one question at a time Brother. I can't keep up." Touki was overwhelmed by his brother's barrage of questions. He understood that his brother was worried for both of them, but maybe he could calm down a little, could he? "And to answer your questions, I will just kick their butt to defeat them."

Izuku facepalmed as he was unamused by his brother's answer. His brother's grinning and overconfidence when he said that also doesn't help. He sighed in frustration. "I should've known you were gonna answer like that. Listen, this is no joke alright? We need a proper plan to do this so we wouldn't die."

"Alright then, what's your plan, Brother?"

"First, let's confirm the Skills that we got from when we selected our Class. I have some Skills that might be useful for this situation, and I wanna see yours too."

"Okay."

Then, they both look through each Skills that they both got previously. Izuku was studying his brother's Skills seriously, while Touki looked at his brother's Skills curiously and was amazed as he kept reading them.

"Woah, your Skills are amazing. If you can really do all this, you'd really look like a real mage Bro," Touki exclaimed excitedly. "Can you show me?"

"No, It's better not to waste MP unnecessarily. Who knows what we might encounter later," Izuku said as-a-matter of factly, Touki can only pout at that, feeling a little disappointed. "And Tocchan, your Skills are… good, for cooking I guess. But they're not quite useful in a fight."

"Duh, they're Skills for the Class 'Cook'. Of course they're good for cooking," Touki said with a mocking tone. Then, he just realized the last sentence his Brother just said. "Wait, does that mean I'll just be a deadweight Brother? Oh no, what am I gonna do? I should've picked another class. But I want to be able to cook so bad!"

Touki was pulling his hair in frustration now as he was starting to regret his decision.

"No, that's not true at all Tocchan. You won't be a deadweight. Your Class may not be useful in a fight perse, but it will be useful to make us stronger for our fight in the future," Izuku explained.

Touki who heard his brother's words has now calmed down as his confidence was raised a little. "Oh, so I can make us stronger?"

"Yes, with this skill of yours," Izuku said as he pointed to a certain Skill at the screen that showed his brother's Skills. "And moreover, your Stats that's related to anything physical are many times higher than mine. You're basically much faster and stronger than I am, so there's no need for you to worry."

Touki grinned widely after hearing his brother's words as it successfully boosted his confidence by a lot. "Haha, you said it Brother! After all, I am the fastest in our class and I can also run for the longest time. No one has ever beat me once before!" Touki stated excitedly as he was cackling proudly.

Izuku could only smile softly as he looked at his brother's reaction.

"Yes, and I am the slowest and always get the last place," Izuku said as he was chuckling sheepishly.

"But you always get the first place in the rankings Bro. And it's only because of your help that I can keep up with the lessons in class. If not, I would've gotten last place in the rankings all the time," Touki stated.

"I suppose you're right," Izuku said while smiling genuinely. "Well, what are we waiting for then? Let's go and hunt some Monsters."

"Yeah! Let's go!" Touki said excitedly as he pumped his fist in the air.

Then, the both of them were now leaving the clearing area they'd both 'spawned' in. And as they were putting one of their legs outside the clearing and into the dense forest, a screen suddenly appeared in front of them.

"What's this?" Touki asked.

You're now leaving the 'Safe Area' of the 'Forest of Monsters' where Monsters and other dangerous creatures cannot enter. Please proceed with caution as your life may be in danger.

"So, this clearing over here is the Safe Area?" Izuku asked a question that he pointed to the System.

Yes

"I see. That means we can go back here if things get too dangerous," Izuku said thoughtfully. "And it seems the System who put us into this mess in the first place are caring for us, huh?" Izuku said sarcastically, though the System didn't answer.

"Oh, so if we meet a dangerous monster, we can run back here, right?" Touki asked.

"Yes," Izuku answered.

"Hmm, that makes me curious. What sorts of monsters will we run into, huh? Maybe we will find a giant dragon that can fly and breathe fire. That'd be so cool!" Touki said in excitement.

Meanwhile, Izuku shuddered in fear as he imagined that. "There's nothing cool about that! We definitely can't defeat something like that! We'll be killed!"

Touki pouted. "But you still want to see it right Bro? You can't say that it wouldn't be cool."

"If the dragon won't be trying to kill us, yes I guess it'd be cool."

"Then, how about a father who can breathe fire? We can still defeat that, right?" Touki said as he chuckled.

Izuku was now chuckling at his brother's statement. "No, as of now he's still much stronger than us even if we attack him at the same time. But perhaps we could win if we make an ambush and catch him by surprise?"

Then both of the brothers were now laughing heartily and loud enough that their voices echoed through the forest.

Then, they both continued walking into the forest after Izuku reminded them to be cautious.

Meanwhile a small figure, at the other side of the forest, turned its head into the direction that the voices came from. Its eyes were red and gleaming with malice like it was ready to take down anything that gets in its way.

.

.

"Oh, look! I found some mushrooms! This is so cool!" Touki exclaimed excitedly.

Izuku and Touki were already walking through the forest for quite a while now. Izuku was being a nervous-wreck while being extra cautious as he kept glancing around his surroundings looking for any threat. Meanwhile, Touki was practically being carefree as he kept jumping around and looking at anything that made him interested. Touki was now wearing his shirt and made it as some sort of a backpack . He tied it to his neck and wore it on his back. He filled it with anything he found in the forest, which mainly is plants, herbs, fruits and berries. Basically anything edible for them to eat later.

"It's just some mushrooms," Izuku said with a lack of interest. He was being too anxious right now to deal with his brother's antics. He wasn't making his shirt into a bag to carry food like his brother did because he thought that would make it hard for him to move around in case they were going to be attacked by some monsters. Although, he was the one who suggested his brother to make his shirt into a bag to carry food, and he trusted his brother is the best person here to do it since he's much more agile than him. "Just take it if it's edible and leave it if it's not."

"No, this isn't just any mushrooms! This is Matsutake Mushrooms! One of the rarest kinds of mushroom in the world! And of course it's edible!" Touki exclaimed excitedly as he looked at the mushrooms with sparkles in his eyes. He picked one of the mushrooms up and examined it closely. "These mushrooms have a nice and strong spiciness and piney taste that's unique to them. These ones in particular have so much better quality than I've ever seen. The size is so much bigger than usual, like two to three times bigger, the shape is perfect, the stem is sturdy, the cap has the right amount of firmness and there's no soft spots and there's no sign of animals ruining it too. This is simply the best mushroom I've ever seen!"

INT has increased by 1

A New Skill: Appraisal has been acquired

"Oh, you got a new skill!" Izuku exclaimed enthusiastically, forgetting about his anxiety for a bit. "Appraisal, huh? So, you have to appraise an item to get that Skill. Like you did with that mushroom."

"Yeah, looks like it," Touki said in response. He put the mushroom into his shirt-bag and continued picking the remainings on the ground.

Izuku seemed to ponder for a bit. He honestly thought that his brother is not 'too smart' at the most things, but he's not saying that he's stupid. But when it comes to anything about food, he admitted that his brother is a genius considering how much he knew about them.

"But seriously, this forest is full with so many edible plants and fruits, we don't have to worry about going hungry. And the quality is also so much better than usual. It's unbelievable," Touki said as a matter of factly. Well, looking at much stuff Touki got inside his shirt-bag that is indeed true.

"Yes, you're right," Izuku said in response, which he himself is also quite amazed by the fact. "Anyway, I want to get that Skill too. Give me one of those mushrooms, Tocchan. I'll try appraising it."

"Okay." Touki reached inside the shirt-bag and grabbed one of the mushrooms he just picked. Then, he handed it to his brother. "Here."

Izuku then took it while saying 'Thanks' to his brother. He began looking at it up closely and began examining it.

"Okay, so this is a Matsutake Mushroom. One of the rarest mushrooms in the world. It has a spicy and piney taste. Its size is three times bigger than usual, has a perfect shape, has a sturdy stem, has a firm cap without any soft spots, and no sign of animal ruining it," Izuku stated in order like his brother did.

He waited for the screen notifying him that he got the appraisal Skill for a bit but…

Nothing…

He tried doing it again and again and the result is…

Still nothing…

"Umm… Brother, did you get the Skill yet?" Touki asked. He was feeling a little bad for his brother who was being a bit hopeful before now starting to look disappointed.

"No…" Izuku said as he was feeling dejected.

"A-ah, that's it! M-maybe it's because I've already appraised it. Maybe you should try another stuff Brother," Touki suggested to his brother a little bit panickedly.

"Yeah, you're right! Why didn't I think of that?" Izuku said as he brightened up a bit. He gave the mushroom in his hand back to his brother and began looking for another thing to appraise.

He looked at the grass on the ground and decided to pull it off of its roots. It was a little too firm for him but he managed to succeed after his brother helped him. He began to look at it closely and started examining it.

"So, this is grass. Not quite edible for humans but edible for some animals. A very common type of plant that can grow almost anywhere. The leaf structure is long and shaped like narrow blades with parallel veins. The stem is hollow and jointed. The roots are fibrous and spreading. It has a growth-habit to clump together. These ones in particular have a quality that's the same as normal grass, the size is the same as normal, the shape is normal, and the color is also normal," Izuku stated in order and hoped he would get the Skill 'Appraisal' now.

Still nothing…

"Don't worry, Brother. You can still get it. Try another thing," Touki said, cheering his brother on.

Izuku felt his determination raised up after he heard his brother cheering him on. He wondered if it was because of the 'Motivational Speech' Skill his brother had but when he thought about it again, even without the Skill, his brother had always been someone who's good at boosting people's spirit.

"Right." Izuku smiled a little.

Then, he began searching for other stuff to appraise. First, he started with the rocks he found on the ground, then the barks on the ground that fell off from the trees, then the leaves, then the soil too. He kept trying again and again with various different objects until finally…

A New Skill: Appraisal has been acquired

"Yes!! I finally got it!" Izuku cheered excitedly after he saw the screen in front of him.

"Good job, Brother! I knew you can do it!" Touki cheered with his brother. He gave a high five to his brother which his brother returned enthusiastically.

"Yeah, but I wonder why I can't get the Skill at the first try like you did. Why do I have to keep appraising many different objects while you only have to appraise one object to get the skill?" Izuku started to ponder.

Touki raised his shoulders in response. "I don't know."

"System, are the requirements to unlock a Skill different for each person?" Izuku asked the System.

No. The requirements to unlock a Skill is the same to every person.

"The same? But it was different for me and Tocchan. He could get it by appraising only one item while I have to appraise many different items. Wait, is it maybe because of the conditions? So the object Tocchan appraised was..." Izuku was deep in thought pondering about the requirements he and his brother got to acquire the 'Appraisal' Skill. He completely lost focus of his surroundings and didn't realize he was mumbling loudly.

Meanwhile Touki, who was forced to listen to his brother's mumbling, could only stare at him flatly. He was close to trying to snap his brother out of his daydreaming until something distracted him.

Ksshrkk

Touki immediately jolted. He could swear he heard a rustling sound just now. At first he thought it was just the leaves being blown by the wind but the sound was different and there was no wind. He started to look around his surroundings to find out where the sound was coming from. Then, he locked his eyes into a certain bushes that was moving suspiciously at a distance a few meters away from him. He was about to get close to take a look at it until his brother suddenly shouted.

"Ah! I get it!" Izuku exclaimed suddenly. "It was because the Matsutake Mushrooms that you appraised was kind of a rare item, it also meant that the difficulty to appraise it was higher. And when I tried to appraise it again I didn't get the 'Appraisal' Skill because the information I said when I appraised it was only the things that I got from you when you appraised it. And the items that I appraised myself are mostly just common stuff like grass, rocks, dirt, and leaves which means the difficulty is much lower. That means the higher the rarity of the items you appraise, the less the items you have to appraise to get the 'Appraisal' Skill. And you can't also use the information that's already been provided by another person."

Congratulations! You have successfully made a correct deduction of the prerequisite to acquire the 'Appraisal' Skill.

INT has been increased by 1

The Skill 'Analytical Deduction' has been increased by 1 Level. Analytical Deduction (Level 1) - Analytical Deduction (Level 2)

"See? Guess I'm right after all," said Izuku as he laughed in satisfaction.

"Ah, yeah right. That's so cool, Bro," Touki complimented with a smile. But his complementation was cut for only a short moment as he immediately turned his attention back to the bush that was moving suspiciously. Then, he slowly approached the bush without making as much noise as possible.

"Tocchan, what're you doing?" Izuku asked as he was wondering why his brother was moving suspiciously like that.

"See that bush over there?" Touki said as he pointed to the bush. "It was moving and making a suspicious noise. I think there's something in there."

"Really? What could it be?" Izuku asked as he got a little bit scared. The idea of something unknown moving in the bushes surely doesn't please him at all.

"I don't know. That's why I'm gonna check it," Touki said as kept approaching the bush.

"B-be careful Tocchan. It might be dangerous," Izuku said as he gulped his throat.

"Yeah, I know. Don't worry Brother," Touki said to calm his Brother.

Touki was now already pretty close to the bush. And before he could get closer again, the bush began rustling more clearly than before. The two brothers immediately jolted, but before they could think about what to do from there, something, a small creature, suddenly leaped out of the bush and landed in front of Touki.

"Is that a rabbit?!" Touki asked in surprise. He was now looking at the creature in front of him that has full-body white furs, long ears, standing on its hind legs, and a small body with increasing curiosity and excitement.

"I-it seems like it. But it looks different from normal rabbits. It has such fiery red eyes and a horn on its forehead. A horned rabbit…?" Izuku was still being cautious as he eyed the rabbit nervously.

"Ohh look, it's so cute. I wanna pet it!" Touki was being enamored by the cuteness of the rabbit in front of him. He was approaching the rabbit with the intention to pet it.

"Be careful Tocchan! We don't know what it's gonna do!" Izuku half-shouted to warn his brother.

"Don't worry Brother, it's just a rabbit. What's the worst that could happen?" Touki exclaimed. He kept approaching the rabbit but the rabbit was now growling and frowning towards him, clearly a sign that it wasn't pleased by his presence. "Aww, look at it being angry. Come on, I just wanna be friends. You don't need to be scared."

"L-look, it's angry Tocchan," Izuku said as he gulped his throat.

Touki disregarded his brother's warning and kept approaching the rabbit despite its displeasement towards him. When the rabbit deemed Touki already got too close to it, it decided to attack him. The rabbit quickly leaped towards Touki with both of its hind legs while pointing its horn forward intending to skewer Touki with it.

Fortunately, thanks to his good reflexes, Touki was fast enough to shift his body to the side to avoid getting pierced by the horn. "Ohhoo, aren't cha a lively one rabbit-chan? Hahaha," Touki said as he laughed playfully, seemingly not worried at all by the sudden attack. But he was soon going to change his mind when he saw what's gonna happen next.

The rabbit missed Touki but it kept gliding forward with the momentum until it crashed into a tree.

BAMM!

In a surprise, the rabbit just easily tore through the trunk of the tree with the force of its momentum. The rabbit landed safely behind the tree and the tree was now torn in two. The two brothers who saw that widened their eyes in surprise. The tree swayed and was about to fall to the direction where Touki was.

Touki, now on alert, quickly jumped away from the falling tree.

KRCKCKK! BOOMM!

The sound the tree made when it fell was loud and deafening, making the two brothers increasingly terrified.

"D-damn, thank god I did dodge that. Can't imagine what would happen to me if I didn't," said Touki who was now sweating nervously.

"Tocchan! Are you okay?!" Izuku asked, screaming as he began to worry.

"Yeah! I'm okay! I'm completely fine!" Touki answered. His gaze now shifted from his brother who was looking at him as he was being worried about him to the rabbit that just tried to attack him.

The rabbit was now changing its focus from Touki to Izuku who was closer and distracting with his screaming. It was now running, or hopping, fastly, towards Izuku.

Touki, who saw that, immediately ran towards his brother. "Brother! Watch out!"

~~To Be Continued~~

A/N: So, what do you think?

To be honest, this chapter got uploaded way too late for my liking. Well, a few months of writer's block and my own procrastination helped a lot with that.

You know, I am actually pretty new to writing a story so I may have made some mistakes, so if you do find them please let me know in the reviews, that'd help me a lot. And from what I see, I think one mistake that I noticed is that I may have used too many words in this story to over-explain stuff. Is that true or not?

This chapter was supposed to be longer because I wanted to add more action but I decided to cut it because it's already too long.

And last but not least thank you for coming and reading my story. Please let me know what you think in the review. Any kind of feedback would be appreciated.

See you in the next chapter!
