Hurricane Eclipso

-Beginning of February-

Barry was running around the county; Ray Palmer stayed in his ear and Winn and Caitlin sometimes talked as well. Barry had done some training on Justice League training grounds but had quickly asked to get actual experience, so was out, taking on some crimes. Now that the Justice League meeting, revealing he was back, was over, Barry felt a weight had been lifted from his chest – although being back alive was something he was still getting used to.

Barry saw his next target that Ray had directed him to and was easily able to take him out.

"Atom, can we get more metas," Barry said afterward, standing on the street now as he watched the police arrive to take away the criminal.

"I'll see what I can find," Ray said in Barry's ear.

"Hey! I was going to take this one," Barry knew the voice from that morning's meeting and turned to see Wonder Girl and her boyfriend with her. Dragon, who had stayed by Barry's side all day, gave a warning growl

"Wonder Girl," Ray said, and Barry got he had opened the communication to her as well. "You didn't put on the system you were on the case. I did mark it for Barry."

"He is not in the League. He cannot claim a crime," Donna said back.

"Flash gave us orders to help him practice with his powers – including letting him take on crimes," Ray said back, and Donna made a face.

"Wonder Girl, maybe we should go…?" Nisos said, using her hero name as they were in public.

"I will not let him chase me away," Donna snapped back.

"Then maybe I will go," Barry said, looking around. "Atom where am I and where am I going?"

"You are in Austin, Texas. As for where you are going, give me a moment," Ray said back.

"Hey! Did you ever regret it?" Donna suddenly asked, surprising Barry and Barry looked around. The police had taken away the criminal now, and the group had moved off the street, so they were mostly private.

"You know, I do," Barry said back, deciding to run up a building and Dragon flew up with him. He was surprised when Donna followed and Nisos was behind her.

"Not now," Donna said, holding her sword out. Dragon growled and lit up his eyes. "Not after your death. Before you were killed. Did you ever regret what you did?"

"No," Barry said, honestly. "Before I died, before Hell and Purgatory, no, I didn't. Well, I did regret one thing regarding your sister… that I killed her too soon. She was one of the closest to Rae and her death was one of the big hits. I wanted to save it, but I got an opportunity and couldn't let it pass."

Donna took a couple short deep breaths in through her nose and then raised her sword to Barry who took a step back quickly as Dragon got into attack position.

"Not now though, but back then - like you asked," Barry defended, but Donna didnt seem to be listening now, going to attack the recently reborn speedster, but it was Nisos who gabbed Donna.

"Stop!" Niso said. "I don't like him as much as you, but he is the one who will save those who are in trouble. Our brothers and sisters in battle are just as important as our blood and yours right now need him."

"Barry, a little less truth maybe," it was Winn who said it on the coms.

"Wonder Boy, Wonder Girl?" A new voice called as a man literally stretched on top of the roof in a way that made Barry frown; his body literally being like Mr. Fantastic from the Fantastic Four and able to stretch like he had no bones or something. "And Flash Boy!"

"People seriously call me that?" Barry asked.

"We'll have to trouble shoot a new name," Ray said in Barry's ear.

"I'm Elongated Man. Been working my way as a hero around here in Austin. Would love to one day join the League. Maybe you all will give a good word to the Flash…?" Elongated Man said.

"They are not in the League," Donna snapped, moving away from Nisos. "And I am not in a mood to entertain a new…" Before Donna could finish her sentence, they were shocked as blackness appeared below her and she suddenly vanished into it, surprising everyone as the familiar form of Eclispo now rose from the darkness that Donna had vanished into.

"No!" Nisos said but was stopped by Barry who ran in front and sent a lightning bolt at Eclipso.

"Move now… all of you! Superdog, you too," Barry knew they could not fight as Wonder Girl had disappeared and their best course was retreat.

But as they moved away, Eclipso seemed to summon wind around him that completely surrounded him and picked up speed and moved upward, the wind expanding quickly and widely.

"Did he just…?" Elongated Man's sentence dropped as he watched what was happening.

"…become a freaking Hurricane?" Barry called over the wind that was now building. "Yep!"

Rae and Sam Arias walked around EPCOT City.

Rae had Leona in her arms, who was hugging a stuffed animal of Figment that was gifted to her by the Disney executives. "I've got to say Disney knows how to suck up with kids," Rae said, smiling at her daughter. While EPCOT was a city on this Earth, there was still one ride within the city for visitors: Imagination with Figment. The little dragon was popular with guests.

"They definitely do," Sam said.

"But you were a shark in there with the negotiating," Rae said.

"Shark?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, The Shark, could be your superhero name if you ever want to suit up," Rae said, giving Sam a little push.

"I am good," Sam said. "Besides The Shark not Kryptonian," Rae gave a laugh at that. "Not even close to Supergirl, or even Power Girl," she was aware, obviously of Karry and Prime with their own Power Girls. "But it's a good deal. I would recommend you sign off on it on behalf of your wife."

"Sounds good to me," Rae said. "So, want to hit the parks a bit? This one deserves some birthday fun, and I believe Disney gave us free park hoppers."

Being February 1st, it was Leona's birthday, but Rae had decided not to have a second birthday party since Kara was not there. It could wait until they got Kara back.

"I'm in," Sam said as Rae's communicator went off. "…but you might not be," Rae looked at it before shoving Leona in Sam's arms. "Bad?" Sam asked.

"Horrible," Rae said, going to find a place to switch to her outfit and run to Austin, Texas.

"Bye, bye mama!" Leona yelled as Sam kissed her; Leona knowing what was going on.

"See you later, Rae. Come on, Leona, let's go have fun," Sam said to the girl, making sure her stuffed animal was safe as she moved off.

Barry and Nisos didn't have time to think of Donna being taken as they rushed to get people to safety from the sudden winds; Elongated Man with them.

"I'll provide cover!" Elongated Man yelled, stretching his body out large between two buildings, providing protection against an assault of objects being thrown by the winds – now already at over 100mph, a Category 3.

"Inside!" Barry said grabbing a couple of teenagers who had been riding bikes and bringing them into a building. "Elongated Man, get down! You will…" Barry stopped as shattered glass went straight at the man, ripping right through his stretched body. The man cried out in pain and seemed to shrink up and become normal. Barry, battling the winds to go over to him and found him bloodied up.

"Is he good?" Nisos asked, having gotten people to safety himself.

"He's dead…" Barry said picking up the body. "Wonder Boy, take the body to safety!"

"You need…" Nisos said.

"Do what he says," it was Rae running up to them and Barry paused. She was glowing a soft white light. "You can't help with this. He was a hero. We need to protect his body for a proper burial."

"To get to Elysian," Nisos said, taking the body and leaving.

"Elysian?" Barry questioned this, but didn't get a response from his sister/cousin.

"Superdog, go with him!" Rae yelled at Dragon, who gave a bark and moved off after Nisos.

"You are glowing," Barry said, pointing at Rae.

"Paragon thing," Rae said, looking around windspeed around them, the people running, things being picked up by it. She noticed there was a certain… darkness to the hurricane that normal hurricanes never had. It was purposely destroying things, it seemed, moving objects hitting into important buildings "That is not moving like any hurricane I have ever seen."

She had run out to the scenes of hurricanes multiple times to evacuate people and help the victims, and this was definitely different.

"Eclipso is moving it," Barry said. "He created it."

"I got the message. Turning into a hurricane is a new thing," Rae said. "Justice League, stay back until me and Flash Boy have this under control," Rae spoke into her communicator.

"We need to decide on a new name for me," Barry mused. "How did my alternates not question it?"

"I don't think they stayed long enough each visit to know the name," Rae mused.

"But how are we controlling this?" Barry asked. "We can't just wait this out. It won't just go away."

"I've never been able to unravel a hurricane the same way I unraveled tornados," Rae said; several times she had run into tornados, running the opposite ways of the winds to destroy them. "But this is not a normal hurricane... It's Eclipso. I run; my Paragon power should help correct this."

"I think two speedsters are better than one. I can help control the winds as you get close," Barry said, and Rae gave him a nod.

With that, the two ran into the hurricane winds, picking up their speed to fight through the storm, supported in the sky by the winds they were trying to stop. Both entered the hurricane and ran the opposite way of the winds at speed.

Knowing Eclipso was at the heart of this, Rae got closer to the center as she could. Her Paragon white light glowed brighter and went into the very winds.

Rae and Barry could see as the winds slowed and it started to unravel, Rae's glow countering the darkness of the wind.

Soon the winds died down entirely, the two speedsters managing to land on the roof of a building while Eclipso collapsed before them – exhausted by this latest trick to stop Rae. Nodding to one another, Barry and Rae quickly tossed Speed Force lightning bolts at the clearly exhausted Eclipso.

It seemed making the hurricane and having it unraveled by them had taken a lot out of the being.

Despite their attack on him, the demon creature managed to summon a black pool for himself to disappear into without saying a word and Rae's glow disappeared.

"We did it!" Barry said.

"Not without a price," Rae said, looking around at the destroyed city. Eclipso had made sure to wreak as much havoc as possible. They knew of one confirmed death in Elongated Man, but suspected the death toll itself to be huge.

"Do we…?" Barry looked down at the ruined city.

"Justice League," Rae had already pulled out the communicator, "I'm declaring a state of emergency, everyone to Austin, Texas to help recuse citizens and save those alive, extract those in ruins and recover the dead. We need all hands-on deck," she looked at Barry at this, who didn't need telling twice as he ran off, ready to help anyone he could.

-New Justice-

In the shadows, Kara walked with Dr. Midnights goggles with Krypto next to her.

Her dog didn't seem affected by the shadows like humans, which was good for Kara. She could use him to find people taken into the shadows, and with his superior sense of smell, he could trace where someone new was, which helped now when he led her to their new arrival.

Donna was clearly fighting some enemy with her sword. An enemy only she could see.

"No, I will destroy you!" Donna called as she attacked.

"Wonder Girl!" Kara yelled out. "It's fake! Whatever you are seeing. It's fake," Kara dodged an attack as Donna went at her with the sword. While it couldn't hurt her too much, the Amazonian steal did have a minor effect on Kryptonians and Kara still didn't know quite how her powers worked in the shadowlands.

Krypto growled and jumped on Donna, knocking her over, letting Kara put Frankie's goggles on the girl – with Frankie now here, he had managed to program his goggles to do the same as Dr. Midnight's, meaning two people could now walk around and she could give one to the new arrival. They had also been trying to use them to find a way out.

"Supergirl? I am sorry…" Donna said.

"Not the first one to attack me while fighting these shadows," Kara said, ordering Krypto off and holding out a hand to Donna to let her up.

"I guess I'm in the shadows," Donna put her sword away.

"You are," Kara nodded. "Come on, this way."

Kara brought them back to what had become known as the Hideaway; Frankie had been studying Charles equipment since arriving so they could expand it and have more people. Once there, Kara gave the goggles back to the blind man and Donna took Frankie's off. They didn't need them in the Hideaway.

"You, okay?" Laurel asked Donna.

"She was very affected by the shadows before I found her," Kara said.

"Your wife and husband are not helping," Donna said, looking at Kara when she said wife and Laurel when she said husband. The two looked at each other.

"My husband?" Laurel asked.

"Spectre decided to help our world," Donna said, and Kara noticed the tone of the word 'help'. "He got the Monitor, Anti-Monitor, and the Speed Force's to help."

"That sounds great!" Mon said.

"You'd think, but they brought Barry Allen back to life," Donna practically spat that.

"What?" Multiple people said together. Frankie seemed the most shocked, he knew Barry Allen, the best of the group.

"The Reverse Flash is alive," Donna said. "To help with Eclipso."

The group was silent for a moment. It was JT who broke the silence.

"I didn't see that one coming," JT said after a moment and Kara had to silently agree. It would have been the last thing she expected.

"Well, I trust all four people who've brought Barry back," Kara voiced. "We need to have faith, knowing it's the right thing. I know Barry was reformed in Purgatory."

"Everyone keeps saying that," Donna stated, darkly at that. She was definitely not convinced.

-New Justice-

Back on Earth, Rae had put Elongated Man's body in the Hall of Justice's freezers. She had discovered, like on some other worlds, he was a man by the name of Ralph Dibney. He was usually in Central but seems fate had him in Texas on this world.

Rae then zap tunneled back to Watch Tower.

"Wonder Boy," Rae said, seeing Nisos there. "Are you good…?" Nisos gave a small nod. His girlfriend had been taken by Eclipso just like Rae's wife had. "Then I am going to need you to go back out and join search and rescue." He was one of the few who hadn't gone back to Austin to help, while Rae had grabbed Barry to take him back with her.

"I will," Nisos said, standing up and then turned to Barry. "If you get her back to me, I don't care who you were or who you killed. You will be good in my book." He didn't say more as left.

"High praise indeed," Barry mused.

"White Canary, you will lead Search and Rescue Justice League efforts," Rae said to Sara who had been waiting. "Most of the League is already in Austin. You can stop by the Sanctuary and grab Super Horse – might want to grab the others too. Superdog, go with her as well?" Dragon, who had been by Barry's side again, gave a bark and went over to Sara.

"Got it," Sara said, giving Rae a nod and leaving as well with Dragon following.

It left Rae and Barry there alone.

"You ready?" Rae asked.

"It seems wrong to do this when there's so much to do in Austin," Barry mused.

"I think that was Eclipso's plan. He knew you were back, he knew you were here to help me get to the Speed Force and knew we would want to help the rescue down in Austin," Rae reasoned. "I want to go and help now. I need to be there to help, but if we don't go now, we may never get the chance to." She had evaluated the recent events in her head and knew she was right on all of that.

"Alright then," Barry said, determined.

"I trust my League," Rae nodded at this. "They will take care of Texas. We will go to our Force mother."

With that, Rae opened a zap tunnel, and they went out, Barry noticing they were in Central-National when they exited and he followed Rae.

"This is where I like to run to our Mother Speed Force," Rae said when she stopped. "This road is perfect for us to pick up speed," they were on one the main roads of the city, it was a very long, straight road and busy with traffic, but that wouldn't matter to their speed.

Barry gave a nod as Rae held out her hand.

She summoned her power and silver lightning surrounded her while Barry summoned his own power, as red lightning surrounding him as he took Rae's hand. Their powers seemed to combine into one. They felt the spark in their body as much as they saw their powers combine.

They didn't need to speak. They knew what to do and the two ran. The lightning trail looked like one as they ran through the city and then disappeared.

Post Chapter Note: And there you have it! An action-packed mid-season finale. But that's not the end of Eclispo for now, As SuperEarth will be back soon with their story – and you'll finally find out exactly why and how they've been cut off from the multiverse… hehe.

We hope you all enjoyed.
