Still clad in my Digimon pajamas, I left the house and made my way to the beach. I continued to follow the singing until I reached the water's edge. The water felt cold on my bare feet, but I didn't care. I looked around, searching for the glowing eyes and the singing voice. Then something rose to the surface, and I saw the eyes. They stopped glowing and the shine of the moonlight revealed who they belonged to.
"Mermaid," I said. "How did you find me?"
"Kruuu..." crooned the mermaid.
I slowly approached her until the water was up to my waist. The mermaid and I stared at each other, saying nothing. Then she tilted my head back, and before I knew it, she sunk her teeth into my neck and began to suck my blood. Normally, I would have done something to stop her, but for some reason, I didn't. I just let it happen.
Then suddenly, I thought I heard Sheena's voice shout, "GET OFF HIM!" Sheena's fist collided with the mermaid's cheek then she slapped my face. "Wake up, Billy!"
I snapped out of whatever spell was placed on me and looked around. "Where am I?"
"You don't remember," Sheena asked. "You were acting all weird, leaving the house wearing nothing but your pajamas! I followed you to make sure you didn't do anything stupid, and guess what! You did!"
"Wha...but I don't..."
Suddenly, we both heard a shrieking sound and we turned to see the mermaid writhing around in the water, screeching in pain. I wanted to help her, but Sheena held me back and said, "What are you doing? Did you forget she drank your blood?"
"But she's hurt!"
Then we both let out a scream when we watched the mermaid's tail begin to bleed and split in two!
