Disclaimer: I own nothing in BTVS or SPN. I wish I did, but I don't.

A/N 1: This takes place sometime in early season three (SPN) after my fic Trials of Hell & Tribulations for Family.

"Can we actually think about looking for a case?" Dean groaned from the bed.

He hoped he sounded more annoyed than he was. If Buffy and Sam realized his displeasure was mostly a front, they'd never stop and he'd never get Buffy to himself.

"We are working a case," Buffy huffed as she turned back to her magazine and tore out a page before taping it to the wall.

"Bridesmaid dresses hardly count as a case," Dean huffed, barely covering his amusement.

Buffy turned to look at him with her arms crossed and a look of annoyance set on her face, "I'm pretty sure I remember you attempting to slay me in my dress for Anya and Xander's wedding."

As Sam listened to Buffy and Dean trading quips back and forth he chuckled to himself careful not to draw their attention.

Watching them he realized, he couldn't think of a time when it wouldn't have been impossible to convince him that they'd all be this happy. Yet, now that the demon that had killed their parents was dead and they'd finally managed to track down and send the last of the hard-hitting, escaped, Devil's Gate demons back to hell, it wasn't just a possibility– it was reality.

He knew it wouldn't stay this carefree for long. They hadn't been able to figure out exactly what the yellow-eyed demon's end game had been despite Bobby's and Giles' combined research efforts. So until they had a tangible lead they were determined to enjoy the lull. They were enjoying hopping from place to place finding the hunts as they came.

Sam cleared his throat interrupting Buffy and Dean, "Is this my cue to leave the two of you alone?" he questioned with a smirk.

"Yes!"

"No."

Dean and Buffy answered at the same time.

As they turned away from him to face off with another to begin bickering again, Sam laughed loudly, unworried about them noticing. He knew it was time for him to go back to his room and give Dean the time alone with Buffy he was desperate for.

As he turned to put down the bridal magazine that was still in his hand he caught Dean's grateful smile and a better idea came to mind, "Buffy, do you think this flower arrangement is giving the right vibe?" he asked turning back towards Buffy holding up one of the other magazines from the table.

As Buffy turned her attention away from him and back to Sam to talk wedding details Dean flopped back onto the bed with an exaggerated groan covering his face with his hands.

Buffy and Sam ignored him as they dove back into their discussions about flowers, centerpieces, and dresses.

Dean, knowing they weren't paying him any attention, turned his head to watch them plan the wedding; finally allowing the smile he'd been holding back to spread across his face.

A/N 2: Hope you enjoyed this little ficlet. It sort of just popped into my brain tonight as I was organizing some other ideas. Don't worry, I'm still working on Raised from Perdition & Damned from Salvation as well as my continuation chapters of College Life: Hellmouth Edition. I'm trying to give those my priority, but sometimes the muse jumps around. And if you couldn't guess from this little spark one of my many projects is the Buffy and Dean wedding. It is nowhere near ready, but I thought this might be a fun little teaser.
