Chapter 2:
Gwen chases the butterfly and Ben chases after her. "Gwen, it's just a bug," says Ben, but Gwen did not respond, it was like she was in a trance. The two then trip as they enter a strange town.
"Wha-" Gwen looks around. "Where are we? Ben, what did you get us into now?"
"We're here because you were chasing some red butterfly," says Ben.
"That's it," says Gwen, "always put the blame on... wait, now that you mention it, as soon as I saw that butterfly, I think I blacked out-"
"A butterfly that hypnotizes people," asks Ben.
"When we get back to school, we have a lot to tell the teachers what we did during the summer," says Gwen.
They then look around. "What is this place," asks Ben.
"I don't know," says Gwen, "we better lea- where's the exit?"
The exit is gone. "Welcome to Minakami Village!"
"Mina-what now," asks Ben.
"Minakami Village," asks Gwen, "but what is that?"
"Well... it's a Japanese village that... traps people who enter it!"
"Two questions," says Ben, "one, what? And two... what's a Japanese village doing in America?"
"Good question. I've been wondering that too."
"We better find a way out," says Gwen.
...
The two search for a way out, but they could not. "There doesn't seem to be a way out," says Ben.
"And it gets worst," says Gwen.
"Why," asks Ben.
"Them," says Gwen.
They get surrounded by hostile ghosts. "I got this!" Ben looks at the watch and it shows Ghostfreak. "While he would be the most useful against these guys... no!" Ben turns to XLR8 and starts speeding around the ghosts.
Gwen then sees a swarm of crimson butterflies...
