Chapter 3:
Tommy then finds it's an old Chinese man. "I thought you were someone else," says Tommy, "who are you?"
"My name not important! Just call me Uncle!"
"Do you know what this place is," asks Tommy.
"Something evil," says Uncle, "I found this book! A chosen shrine maiden was torn apart using ropes attached to her limbs and neck in the so-called 'Strangling Ritual', then the ropes that killed her were soaked in her blood and used to seal the Hell Gate, a portal to the afterlife that keeps a dark force known as 'the Malice' and the dead from escaping into the living world!"
"Well, Dil should be safe," says Tommy, "he's definitely not a maiden!"
"No, but Uncle feels this 'Malice' would be so disappointed, it might kill missing boy," says Uncle.
"Dil," says Tommy. He then runs.
"Wait, you must... oh, he is gone. Must've read Jade's book!" Uncle then runs.
