Seeing that The United Force's Battalion would take days to assemble before arriving at Republic City, General Iroh sends an emergency call to his cousin to assist in Republic City's troubles with the Equalists until The United Forces can arrive. Strong!Naruto/FireBending!Naruto!/NarutoxAsami

Hello guys been a while. I don't know why but I had a sudden urge to make a new chapter, I don't know if I will continue but I have a still have a bunch of ideas for the future of this story.

"The Avatar has defeated Amon and the Equalist! But at what cost, Korra can no longer bend all four of the elements! Will the Avatar ever be the same? Team Avatar alongside friends and family travel to see the world's greatest medic in the world! Will The Avatar regain her bendings, or will she also face the same fate of those who have opposed Amon?"

-Shiro Shinobi, radio broadcaster of the Republic City.

Southern Water Tribe

Opening his eyes Naruto lets out a deep sigh. Scanning the room around him, he is surrounded by friends and family, by all rights he should feel relaxed and at ease with himself. Absolute silence fills the room, only the sounds of the snowy winds thumping against the glass winds are heard. The mood is palpable, filled with concern and anxiety.

"It's been a hell of a day…" He muses, standing by Asami's side next to the coach. Closing his eyes once again, trying to relax his body. Internally grimacing, leaning against the wall he recalls his previous battle with the mecha-tanks, having not fully recovered from being electrocuted.

Feeling a hand touch his forearm, looking down to his right, he sees Asami looking at him. Her mouth tugging downwards into a small frown and a knowing look. Her eyes conveying her concern for him, asking him if he needs any help, Asami saw how much damage he took yesterday.

Giving her a gentle smile and subtle shake of his head, he dismisses her concerns, he can toughen it out. Asami knows he is just being stubborn and gives a little pout at his refusal.

"That's cute."

Sitting next to Asami was Mako, sneaking a glance to his right. He saw the caring and almost endearing look on her face as she was tending to Naruto. Raising an eyebrow at their actions, somewhat off-put by their actions, he doesn't say anything and looks somewhere else in the room.

"Since when did those two get so close?"

Hour by hour passed, everyone was still as patient as when they first arrived, in the exact spot waiting to know if Korra would alright.

Finally after hours of waiting, sliding the door open and stepping out was an elderly woman, clothed in a Southern Water Tribe coat and though her hair no longer has a brown appearance and with elderly wrinkled skin, Katara is still known as the world's best healer. As she comes out of the room, the facial expressions on her face are grim, filled with sadness and disappointment on her part, already confirming their worst fears before she utters any words.

Not even Katara, the world's best healer could heal and restore Korra's bending.

A few seconds later, another woman enters through the door with the same expression as Katara. Her vibrant, bubblegum-pink hair cascades just past her shoulders. Her emerald eyes show both her fatigue and sadness. She wears a sleek, deep red coat—its high collar turned up slightly against the chill of the winter air.

There was tension between them, as everyone's eyes locked on them, waiting for them to deliver the news about Korra.

Naruto's eyes widen when he sees his childhood friend and best friend.

"I've tried everything in my power, but I can not restore Korra's bending. Korra can still airbend. But her connection to the other elements have been severed." Katara says regrettably, the best healer in the world has no answer, spending hours trying to restore the Avatar's bending but to no avail.

"But you're the best healer in the world, you have to keep trying!" Lin argues, if Katara could not restore Korra's bending then no one could.

Despair was showcased on their faces, if Master Katara could not restore Korra's bending, then nobody could.

"We've tried everything we could to restore her bending, but the chi-pathways in her body have been damaged to the point where it can no longer be healed to what it once was." The pinkette utters an apology and bows at everyone, feeling disappointed by her inability to heal the Avatar. She looked up to see confusion and raised eyebrows at her, nobody except one person knew who she was.

Before anyone could ask that question, the tall blonde walks up to the pinkette, a genuine smile forming across his face.

"Sakuraa! I didn't know you were going to be here! " Naruto says, shocking everyone even more when he suddenly picks up the small woman and spins her around. Ignoring her protests, he doesn't let that stop him as it's been a long time since he saw his best friend.

"Let go of me idiot! Can't you see that they are looking at us weird!" Sakura shouts, trying her best to stop the small smile developing across her face, kicking him in the shins telling him to let go. After finally being let go by her best friend, she tries to save her dignity and brushes off the wrinkles caused by him only to sweat-drop at everyone's stunned expression.

"I'M SO GONNA KILL HIM WHEN EVERYONES GONE! CHA!" Inner Sakura explodes, as Sakura ducks her head slightly, absolutely embarrassed at what just happened a few seconds ago.

"Definitely not a good way to introduce myself…" Sakura blushes, her cheeks coloring pinkish red.

"Umm hi everyone, my name is Sakura Haruno and I am the apprentice of Master Katara." Sakura says after gaining her composure back and gestures her hands towards Katara, who smiles at her apprentice and nods in approval. Although they haven't been able to restore Korra's bending, she is very proud of what the young woman is able to accomplish and couldn't have asked for a better student.

Just as the mood was starting to get lifted, it crashed back to reality.

With slow, heavy, and anxious steps, Korra shows herself to everyone. Her body language screams out to everyone that she's in no mood to talk. Beaten and broken psychologically by Amon, having her bending, her birthright stripped away from her, leaving her without any purpose.

What good is an Avatar when they can only bend a single element?

"It's going to be alright Korra…" Tenzin comes forward. Knowing right now Korra needs all of their love and support, trying to offer comfort and solace to the downcast and defeated Avatar.

"It's not."

Ignoring everyone's attention on her, the eyes that show sympathy and concern, she brushes past everybody in the room and heads towards the exit. She wants to be alone. Following her heel was Mako, knowing that he could not leave her alone in her darkest time, showing everyone his love and attachment to Korra.

Asami visibly frowns at the scene as she silently watches him leave. Thinking about how it all went south. Just a few months ago, they were having a perfect time at Kwong's Cuisine, looking like the perfect couple to any outsiders. She thought that he would have always been there for her. Seeing him leave her side for someone else tore at her already fragile heart, after the reveal of her father's heinous crimes. Unable to watch them leave, she turns her head towards the window, desperately trying to find something to take her mind off everything. Her heart is broken more than ever as she settles on staring at the freshly fallen snow.

"Where did we go wrong?" Asami mutters to herself.

Everybody understood that Korra needed her own space, once again they settled into their seats and waited for her arrival, always ready to offer her the support she needed when she needed it. In the meantime, Sakura tries to get to know everyone, from Tenzin and his family, to even the infamous Lin Beifong.

At the moment sitting at the circle table, was Naruto, Sakura, and Asami, thanking Katara for the jasmine tea before continuing their conversation.

"Sooo… When did you return to the South Pole? I thought you were supposed to be back home in the Fire Nation?" Naruto questions, absentmindedly sipping his tea, grateful for something hot while being stuck in the arctic snow.

"I was at home, watching the news of Republic City with my family before Master Katara called me. I guess she knew that you guys were going to come over with injuries and asked if I could assist her." Sakura answered, while she is Katara's apprentice, she still has her own family in the Fire Nation and tends to spend most of her time there unless needed by Katara.

"Speaking of injuries, do you have any? You were fighting the equalists for a while, I doubt even you could leave without a scratch." Sakura questions, raising her delicate eyebrow at him as she sips her tea, daring him to lie to her.

A brief pause.

A nervous chuckle escaped Naruto as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Ahahaa… About that Sakura, don't worry I'm COMP—"

"He got electrocuted by a mecha-tank and his body is one big bruise." Asami interrupts him and looks at him with a flat expression, eye rolling at his look of betrayal.

Sakura's eyes widen as she comprehends what Asami just said. Naruto's eyes become comical white circles as Sakura slams her teacup down, spilling the tea all over the table.

"Now now Sakura, I'm alright! Look! I'm PERFECTLY FINE!" He shouts in terror, putting his hands in front of him and closes his eyes, in an attempt to shield himself from Sakura who is moving closer and closer to him.

BONKK!

"YOU DUMBASS! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING!" Sakura shouts at him, banging her fist on top of his head, causing comical tears to form in Naruto's eyes.

"Lay down and don't move a muscle! GOT THAT!" She threatens him, waving her fist in front of his face, promising even more pain if he didnt listen.

"Yes mam." Naruto mumbles, before laying down flat on his back, as Sakura bends water out of her canister on her hip and starts healing his injuries.

10 Minutes Later

After the intense battles the past couple days, the cool blue water flowing across his chest felt like heaven. Letting out a deep sigh of contentment, Sakura withdraws her water back into her canister and stands up.

"There, all patched up now. Now go put on a shirt, lazy bum." Sakura says, wiping the sweat off her forehead. Looking over Naruto once again, whose entire chest was bandaged up, nodding to herself in approval of her own work.

Before he could offer his thanks, everyone sees Asami abruptly standing up and see her exiting the door.

"Thanks Sakura! I'll be right back okay!" Naruto says just as abruptly, putting a black hoodie before hastily getting up and making his way to where Asami went.

"Huh..? What was that about? The only time I see him act like this is when.."

Her shocked expression slowly turns into a sly smile, knowing smile, as she watches Naruto scramble his way out the door.

Little Naru has a crush on her!

"It's about time he found somebody." Sakura says aloud, gaining shocked expressions from everyone.

"Whatt? You guys can't tell? He's chasing her like a lost puppy."

"I need something to clear my mind… Maybe some fresh air will help." Asami broods, trying to do anything to help her find some peace of mind. Walking through the thick snow was kind of stupid, but she really needed some fresh hair. Trudging her boots and aimlessly walking along the snowy path without any foresight to where she's going.

"Waiiit! Asami, wait up!" A voice shouts behind her, breaking her out her thoughts. Stopping midstep, she turns around to see Naruto running across the snowy path towards her. As he reaches her, he lets out a deep breath before coming to a complete stop in front of her.

Looking down at her, he might've stepped too close to her personal space, but he was never the one who gave any thought about that. Gaining her attention, he once again is left dumbfounded. The way her smooth pale developed into a rosy blush from the harsh cold, to her soft and luscious wavy hair, perfectly framing her face, and her expressive teal colored-eyes, seemingly drawing him closer and closer.

"It was getting a little cramped in there, staying inside that building for so long, I also wouldn't mind getting some fresh air. I hope you don't mind me joining you, Asami." Naruto says, his lips turning into a small grin. Seeing his small grin causes her to let out her own little grin, there's just something infectious about him. She shakes her head, showing her approval, before continuing her walk.

A few minutes of silence, walking side by side in the snow without an end goal in sight.

"Asami, wanna ride with Kurama instead? The view will be much better from the sky." Naruto suggests, knowing both of them are growing tired of walking in the snow.

Asami looks at Naruto and thinks about it for a second.

" Yeah, I'd like that Naruto."

"I think Kurama's taking a liking to you. Don't tell him I said that though, he might burn me alive for that."

"This feels nice…" Asami sighs with a content smile. Sitting at the front with eyes closed and relaxing her body as the arctic wind brushes over her face and hair.

"Hey Asami…" Naruto asks. Asami, not bothering to say anything, just hums in acknowledgement and gestures for him to continue.

"Are you alright?" He asks.

Her heart drops when she hears those words, eyes showing her true emotions, emotions that he completely understands. Turning her head towards him, she opens her mouth, ready to disregard his concerns as nothing, he interrupts her with an apologetic smile but continues.

"Trust me, I know what it's like..." Naruto starts off, memories of a younger version of him chasing after that cute pinkette haired girl, only to keep chasing and fall short every time.

Asami listens in silence, looking straight as he talks.

"Loving someone is hard. It can bring you the most joy you have ever felt, but it can also bring you the greatest pain you'll ever feel. But loving yourself should always be your priority, if you can not love yourself, how can you learn to love others? As long as you love yourself, everything else will start falling into place naturally. You find peace within yourself, and are able to face anything and everything that comes your way." Naruto explains to Asami, hoping to give the advice she desperately needs.

"Look at me Asami.." Gently pulling her towards him, her watery teal-eyes threatening to burst any moment looks at him. He leans over her, wrapping his arm around her body and burying her head to his chest, conveying his thoughts through his actions. Becoming her shield, protecting her fragile heart, dispelling any dark thoughts that plague her mind, allowing her to finally let go of all the stress and trauma over the past weeks.

She lets go of everything, her father and the equalist, her loneliness, the hardships of being in love. Streams of tears escape her, as she empties her heart and her frustrations and sadness onto Naruto. Bringing Asami closer to him, he holds her and listens closely, never interrupting her as she grieves.

Eventually her sobs turned into nothing but small sniffles, her body losing all of its energy, showing how emotionally exhausted she was.

"You're beautiful, you know that right, Asami." Asami's eyes widened at his confession, lifting her head from his chest to look at him.

" I could tell from the first moment I laid my eyes on you. The way to carry yourself, your compassion for others, the way you are fearless and brave when protecting those you care about. Everything about you is beautiful." He mutters into her ear, drawing a deep scarlet blush on her cheeks at his words.

"Any man should consider themselves lucky to be with you, Asami. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise, because you deserve nothing but the best." Ending his little confession, his cheeks reddening, a heartfelt smile blooming, showing his compassion and admiration for Asami.

Asami couldn't stop looking at him, replaying his words in her mind.

Naruto understood her. The man she had only known a couple days ago, who she fiercely fought side by side with, was able to see her for who she was better than anyone.

"I'm beautiful?" Unable to control the blood flowing to her cheeks, she ducks her head and buries her head into his chest, hiding her blush and her growing smile.

Minutes pass by, soaring through the chilly sky while holding onto each other, staring off into the distance. Asami's heart beats faster and faster as she gazes up at Naruto's serene look, those bottomless ocean-blue eyes, seemingly drawing her in closer and closer.

Time freezes as she slowly inches closer, unable to resist this feeling rising within her. Lightly wrapping her arms around his neck, gaining his attention, gazing into his eyes, then finally landing on his lips.

Clutching her waist tighter, as her heavy-lidded eyes focused only on him. Bringing his right hand up, he brushes the strands of hair away for her eyes, her iridescent eyes attracting him, rendering himself powerless.

Touching foreheads, Naruto and Asami peer into each other's heart and soul, completely lost within each other.

The world around them seemingly stopped moving, their eyes slowly shut, as their lips mesh together. Electricity flows through their body, unable to control their emotions any longer. Adrenaline reaches new heights, as their kiss grows more intense. Unable to resist the urge, he boldly carries Asami into his lap, producing a small moan from her lips, tugging on his blonde locks voicing her approval. Wrapping her legs around his waist, adjusting her weight into his lap, her mouth left wide open as she feels his hardness right beneath her. Seeking the opportunity, Naruto deepens the kiss, his tongue exploring her oral mouth. Asami lets him, her tongue dancing with his own, fisting his hair in response wanting more.

All of a sudden a beam of white light erupts into the sky, illuminating the sky with a deep blue hue.

Both Naruto and Asami break free from their intense kiss, taking deep breaths, trying to calm down their erratic heartbeat.

"Woww." Each supporting massive blushes on their faces, smiling at one another.

Taking a moment to gather their thoughts. "C'mon let's get back with the others. It seems that Korra will be alright after all." Naruto grins at her, having finally calmed down after that high.

Asami is still left speechless to even try to argue.

Just as they arrive back at the house, before they enter the house, Asami embraces Naruto in a tight hug. This time leaving a lasting, chaste kiss on his lips, before pulling away.

"Thank you for Naruto… For everything." Asami mutters, hopefully conveying her feelings through the kiss, before joining the rest of the group inside the house.

The Next Morning : Republic City

The next morning, with the Avatar's bending restored to her, it was time for General Iroh and Prince Naruto to finally return to the Fire Nation. Seeing everyone off, he finally stops in front of Asami, looking the most upset and distraught.

"Asami…" Naruto says gently, bringing her into a hug, ignoring all the dumbfounded looks he is getting from the others. " It's going to be okay, I'll still be–"

Before Naruto could even finish his sentence, a crew ship worker bursts out the deck towards him. In his hand is a flaming red envelope with the Fire Nation insignia on it.

"Prince Naruto! This mail is for you, from Fire Lord Zuko sir." The crew worker bowed in front of the prince, capturing everyone's curiosity.

" From Uncle… What could he want right now?" Naruto questions, raising his eyebrows, grabbing a hold of the letter before opening it.

To Naruto

I hope you're handing yourself over there, young man. Words can not describe how proud we are of you right now. You've come a long way from that little kid who's tried to break through everything head first, you were just like Kushina in that regard. But that's not the reason why I'm sending you this, I believe it's time you leave the comfort of your home and experience the world, starting with Republic City. The city has been devastated both morally and financially because of the Equalists. It is the perfect time for you to gain experience in learning the ins and outs of a country if you are still hoping to become the next Fire Lord. I hereby appoint you as the official liaison representative of the Fire Nation and Republic City.

Fire Lord Zuko
