First things first, I want to thank all of you for supporting this story, but, as I explained when I started this one, it was nothing more than a fun side project that allowed me to do some experimental writing. However, because it was nothing more than a side project, it should come as no surprise that I have lost my will to continue it. Because of that, I am hereby putting it on a permanent hiatus, or one that will last as long as it will take for someone more passionate about it to reach out and ask if they can take it over.
That being said, there are certain things that I am grateful to this story for, the biggest of which being the discovery that my stories are being copied and pasted onto other fanfic sites(and even translated) without my consent. The other thing is that writing this story gave me the courage to step out of my comfort zone and write my Harry Potter story in the atrocious First Person Present perspective.
Now, I'm not saying that I didn't have plans to continue this story. I just had too few ideas to warrant its continuation. Really, I only had 2, which I feel comfortable sharing now that I've decided to stop.
Idea 1 was that Percy would decide to set up a shelter for mortal relatives of campers who have nowhere else to go, like Nemesis' brother, just outside the camp border. An epilogue sequence would have showed that this shelter had evolved into a village, at the center of which would be a monument to Percy.
Idea 2 is that Artemis would ultimately choose to give up her immortality so she wouldn't outlive her husband and she would spend her first bit of mortal existence prepping Aurora to take her place as Goddess of the Hunt. Zeus would ultimately allow it after Artemis decides that upon her death, she would receive the Thalia treatment and become a barrier to protect that which Percy had built.
It is important to note that these would have both been late game and I have no idea how I was supposed to get there.
Well, I suppose this is my farewell to thus story. And I once again want to thank you for supporting it.
