Naruto jumped in happiness. Aha! He had done it. He had done it! The blonde looked at the leaf and it stuck on his forehead and Naruto grinned largely as he rolled over the floor with a large satisfied expression on his face.

His eyes then looked at the ceiling and he questioned if it was possible to use chakra control on air and levitate?

I mean, there were books on how to use trees and climb on water, but Naruto wasn't willing to go out of his house and he couldn't really substitute any of the furniture, sooo. His eyes brightened in mischief and he felt curiousity nudge him a little too much. The blonde closed his eyes and got in a mediational position.

This is how it looked on his comics.

And Naruto cleared his throat. "Inner piece" he muttered softly as he slowly started to levitate, ahhh he could do i- and then he fell on his butt. Ouch. Ouch. He rubbed it with a huff and clenched his fists, as long as it was possible. He could do it and if he couldn't do it in a day. He would give up today and try a few days later.

He closed his eyes and went back to his position. "Inner piece" Naruto muttered like that one old turtle in his books. He slowly started to levitate again and he tried to control his chakra as he reached midway and then he fell down. This time with his entire back.

"Ouch"

Naruto cried out pain, and he rubbed his head. This was not nice.

He heard a soft knock and stood up painfully, watching how his bruises miraculously healed and how the pain started to go away. He thanked his mother and his father, because there was no way this was normal and Naruto opened the door.

"Tch"

And Naruto was surprised. That voice again. Who was it? He looked up to see the white haired man who was holding the containers which looked washed and clean.

He still didn't open the door wide enough for the man to get in and the man cleared his throat. "My name is Kakashi Hatake and I'm your neighbor. Uh, I'd like to thank you for the food. It was uh, really nice"

Uh what?

Naruto gave him an unimpressed look and Kakashi felt his insides squirm. He could practically feel Naruto looking down on his speech and Tenzo losing his marbles by laughing at him. Thank Kami that Anko was on a mission, otherwise he would never live this down.

"You're welcome" Naruto stated and he drew out his hands in a manner to touch his containers and Kakashi cleared his throat, "may I uh come in" uh what? Naruto pursued his lips, he was not impressed at all. He looked at Kakashi's manner with disdain, wasn't he supposed to be really cool? Why was his imagination of the man so different?

The white haired man awkwardly stood there practically reeling because he could feel Tenzo losing his shit right now. His cheeks burned hot in embarrassment and he looked down.

He tried hard to get back his confidence! but.. looking at the toddler who who could barely be called one, who had his face full of disdain, Kakashi felt like it was a lost cause. He should have practiced his speech even more, because now, he could barely look at those bright blue eyes.

..They looked too much like his late sensei and they just reminded me of the things he had lost, and Kakashi couldn't help but feel powerless once again..

"I-I-I-"

Sigh. He couldn't say anything. His chest was stuffy, his throat was blocked and Naruto's eyes were still staring. Blue. Blue. Blue.

"I'm not them" Kakashi blinked as he looked at the short toddler who still had the containers in his hand. And if it were another day, another situation, Kakashi would have mused on how utterly cute, Naruto looked.

However, right now he was concerned by the toddler who's door had grown a little wider.

"Thank you for helping me, but neighbor-san, I am not them. Whoever you're thinking about, I am not them. I am me and if you want to say something to me, not to anyone's ghost, then speak. The doors' opened, but if you want otherwise. Leave. The doors' opened as well"

Naruto left the door open and he put his containers in his cabinets and felt his heart beat almost painfully in his own chest.

It was hard to say what he had, because he was truly grateful to his neighbor and he also craved a strange kind of acknowledgement from the man. However, Naruto was also tired of being looked at like that. Like the "demon child" or that "poor child" and he couldn't accept it if he was approached because of that or because people saw a man who or a woman who was no longer there. His parents had been his parents and he was him.

He didn't need relationships where people were trying to make up because of his parents or anything like that and he didn't want kakashi specifically to approach him because of that. Everyone else who did he would keep at arms length. But he didn't want Kakashi to be everyone else. Naruto wanted Kakashi to know him, to speak to him. Not to speak things to ghosts that could never come back.

And the blonde sighed. His mind had become more and more weird. The indifference was there and he recognised it, but he was also somehow ...weirder in a sense as if he had given up and he had on people, on gaining acknowledgement, but there was something else there. Something missing.

And because of that, it was got a little hard to understand himself and a little frustrating that his smalls hands didn't match his thoughts.

Odd, but everything about Naruto had always been odd. He had a voice in his head and he was sure that wasn't just his conscious. He also had whisker masks, he was pretty sure that was weird. And he felt like an adult even though he was a child. And of course there was more than that but still. Still.

Naruto heard the door close and Naruto looked up to see Kakashi standing quietly inside and Naruto smiled lightly, Kakashi looked hopeful. He was hopeful too.

"So you want biscuits?" He asked and Kakashi nodded his head as he sat down and Naruto prepared his food. Naruto couldn't help but give the man few more glances and then he smiled. He hoped it worked out. The child in him really really wanted this man in his life. And hopefully, Kakashi wanted him in his life too.
