Tino's birthday

Berwald woke up and looked for his own glasses on the nightstand.

When he had them on, he noticed that Tino was no longer sleeping. next to him.

The Swede got up and went to the kitchen and noticed a letter on the table.

"Hey, I went shopping with Lukas and Emil, I'll be back between 2-3 pm, there's breakfast in the fridge and the coffee maker is already charged :)"

Berwald smiled. He turned on the coffee maker, which hummed pleasantly.

Finally, he sat down and quickly looked at the calendar to see if Tino had work. It told him something about the day. The Swede was just drinking coffee when he realized "hell, today is Tino's birthday".

A moment later, the doorbell rang and a blond-haired man was at the door.

"Thanks for coming, I haven't baked in a while."

"I don't know if I can help, but I can try," Mathias said with amusement.

Berwald and Mathias first went to the store to buy supplies.

"What's a whisk?" Mathias asked.

Berwald looked at the instructions and thought, "I think this is it."

They started together.

"Will this work?" Mathias doubted.

"I think so." The Swede said with certainty in his voice.

"Oops, that was too much," was heard as soon as Berwald had looked away.

"What did you buy Tino as a gift?" Mathias asked.

The Swede just looked. It was clearly a secret.

Finally, the cake base was ready for the oven.

Now I just hoped it would work.

"Then I won't take responsibility." Mathias raised his hands in the air and sat down on the couch.

Berwald was clearly a little nervous.

"Will this work?"

"What?" Mathias wondered.

Berwald's face resembled a fire engine.

"Are you okay?!" Mathias was about to have a heart attack.

"Stop it, don't touch me," the Swede flinched at the other's touch.

"What's wrong, can you even tell me?" Mathias said in an overdramatic voice.

Berwald ruffled his hair. "Well, when I..."

"I know you're bad at talking." Mathias laughed.

"I was thinking of proposing to Tino." The other said it as if it wasn't a big deal, even though it had just sounded like it.

"So what!?" Mathias looked at his friend.

"What's so amazing about it?" Berwald asked, confused.

"I'm probably the best man." Mathias shouted and tried to hug the other who stopped him.

"Maybe." Berwald said calmly.

"Maybe!?

The other party disappeared into the kitchen with the cake in mind. Good thing it didn't burn.

Now it had to be cut and let cool.

"At least it looks like a cake and doesn't move."

The Dane chuckled.

"The cake shouldn't move," the other wondered aloud.

"Berwald, why don't you understand jokes?" Mathias said in a dramatic voice.

"But what did you mean!?"

"Didn't you understand that it was a joke?"

Berwald chuckled at his own joke.

Mathias was confused, it was the first time he had heard a joke from Berwald. Swedish jokes were so bad that he didn't understand them.

When the cake had cooled, all that was left was the decoration.

"Watch out..." The cream was already splattering in the kitchen as the Dane whipped it.

Berwald sighed. I wonder if anything will come of this.

When the cake was ready.

Mathias couldn't stop laughing, just like a 4-year-old would.

"Stop laughing, we tried."

His friend calmed him down.

The other disappeared into the shower and then looked for something better to wear.

"Don't worry, it'll work." Mathias tried to say.

Berwald wandered around, pacing back and forth and occasionally looking out.

A flower egg came out of the hole, wagging its tail.

"Hold the cake in your hand and don't drop it while we congratulate him together." Berwald said it three times, sure of it already.

Suddenly Tino's little Toyota came into the yard and Berwald got ready.

Mathias took the cake and almost laughed again at what he saw.

If this cake didn't ooze love, what would?

"Hey, we're home!" Tino shouted and opened the door.

"Happy birthday." Both said at the same time

Denmark took a step forward, but tripped over the dog, causing the cake to fall and fly in an arc straight at Tino.

Bwrwald saw everything in slow motion.

oh why did he even let that idiot hold the cake in his hand.

There was a deep silence in the apartment.

Tino looked at them.

"Oops, that's where the cake went."

Lukas tried to hold back his laughter with Emil, the situation is really funny.

Tino licked the cream from his cheeks and started laughing.

The situation was hilarious

The Swede's face was redder than ever. What would he do now?

Tino picked up a piece of cake from the floor and took it into his mouth. "mmh the cake is at least good."

Berwald ruffled his hair

Mathias picked up the rest of the cake and took what was left of it to the kitchen.

"Tino I..."

Tino looked at his husband and smiled.

The situation was very funny, but at the same time cute in Tino's opinion.

"Tino I love you so much and I always want to be with you I want you to know that you are the most important person in the world to me, I couldn't live without you, that's why I would like to ask you to be my husband." Berwald knelt

The other spoke a little quickly, and there must have been some Swedish words in between, because when Berwald was tense, he spoke a mixture of Finnish and Swedish.

The shorter man held his hands around his mouth. A few tears rolled down his cheek.

Seconds passed and when Tino had come out of his trance, he ran to Berwald and hugged him "of course I will".

They kissed as the others cheered.

The others decided to leave afterwards, wishing Finland a happy birthday.

Mathias apologized for the cake, but Tino at least found it a memorable suggestion.

"Lukas, should we..."

"NO, stop dreaming!" Lukas said sternly and marched out the door.

As the others left, Berwald opened the sparkling wine he had bought.

"For us," they clinked glasses

"Thank you for this, my love, this is the best birthday ever." Tino said happily.

Berwald nodded and before he could react, the other took a picture of them and posted it on Instagram with the words "Engaged 3"

The flower egg jumped into their arms. Tino laughed sweetly as the dog licked his cheek.

Their eyes met again and it felt the same as before.

Tino moved closer to his husband and let their lips do their work.

My stomach felt a bit like when they had kissed for the first time.

When Lukas and Mathias had come home.

"Think of a double wedding, Hani"

"No!"

"Hani, you can't be that cold." Mathias shouted.

"I'm going to take a bath."

Not without me, Mathias grabbed the other one in his arms and made the Norwegian blush even more.

Maybe their day would come too.
