Chapter 13: Talent Show Auditions
The six childhood friends Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky sat behind a man-made table as they spectated performers dancing on a stage designed using branches to serve as wood and leaves to serve as curtains. When Nico, Pedro, and Rafael first came to the Amazon, they didn't find a star for Amazon Untamed until a mysterious performers Nigel and Hector the evil cockatoos showed up. Today they plan to do auditions for the talent show since they did Amazon Untamed which was a successful show. They plan to do another one.
With Eduardo permission, they were able to do try outs.
"All right next." Nico called out after a scarlet macaw did his dancing tap.
The curtains opened and a familiar blue chicks whom looked nervous which her uncles and aunts understand.
"Hey Bia and Belle." Nico greeted in a friendly tone.
"How you doing little birds?" Pedro asked.
"We are fine." Bia and Belle answered, rubbing their wings in a little nervously. "We came for try out for the talent show if that's okay."
"That's fine." Lillian said. She smiled. "What kind of talents you got?"
"Dancing." Bia and Belle answered.
"Okay show us what you got!" Ricky said.
A little shy, Bia and Belle cleared their throats. The Scarlet macaw is playing coconuts as drums and the girls began to show their dancing moves in front of the six friends, they felt like their uncles and aunts. They were grateful that nobody is not here to watch other than Bia's mother Jewel and Belle's mother Grace. Bia and Belle spread their wings, tap their feet, and perform different types of dance moves.
Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky are impressed by their dancing skills. Nico and Pedro know Bia and Belle, they know that the girls haven't dance for them. Now they are dancing in front of her uncles and aunts.
After a couple more moments, Bia and Belle perform a cart-wheel towards the center of the stage. After the song ended, they took a bow.
"All right." Nico cheered with a whistle. "That was amazing you two."
"You two need to enter the talent show." Pedro clapped his wings.
"Yeah everyone is going to love your dancing skills." Lillian said.
"That was dancing skills you got there." Sofia said.
"That was amazing." Ricky said.
"Excellent work you two. We will see you two at the performance." Rico said.
Bia and Belle smiled and nervous about performing in front of the crowds full of other birds and animals. Bia thinks her father can help and Belle is thinking the same as Bia is thinking. Belle suggests her father can help.
"Thank you guys. Glad you guys loved our dancing." Bia said. .
"We love it." Nico answered.
"Thanks Uncle Nico, Uncle Pedro, Uncle Rico, Uncle Ricky, Aunt Lillian, and Aunt Sofia." Bia and Belle thanked them.
"Now that might be our stars right there." Nico pointed out to his friends.
"Who next!" Rico asked Nico.
"We got a lot of auditions." Pedro informed his best friend and looking at the paper they brought a list of all performers who wanted to try for the talent show.
The golden conrue was doing the tango dance while the music plays Hello By Kes. He was doing quite well by showing the dancing skills. He posed after the music ends.
"Next!" Nico called out.
Next is Eva, this time she is not singing loudly. Eva is singing a song which surprised Nico and Pedro. They knows that she sings loudly.
Eva sings Jump By Rupee. Nico and Pedro smiled at Eva singing and happy that she is not singing loudly like she usually do.
"That's my juicy little mango." Rafael clapped his wings admiring his mate singing.
"That was amazing Eva." Luiz said.
"Good singing." Blaze said.
"Bravo, Bravo, Encore, Encore." Fluffy, Paradise, Angel, and Bob clapped their wings.
"Next!" Nico called out.
Lola sings Follow The Leader By The Soca Boys. The judges are impressed.
"Go Lola honey you did it." Tony clapped his wings.
"Next!" Nico said.
A female blue macaw did some Brazil nuts skills. She kicked the Brazil nuts and it landed in her beak. She is balancing the Brazil nuts with no falling.
"All right, nice job." Nico praised.
"Thanks." The female blue macaw said in excitement.
"Next! Nico called out.
Tiago is doing his rapping.
My name is Tiago, I am incredible handsome. I get all ladies in the Amazon. I am a mature boy and I want a girlfriend to love me. I love my family and I am the best.
Tiago finished his rapping.
Nico looked at Tiago in shocked. "Next!" Nico said.
Max and Junior dance to Remember The Time By Micheal Jackson.
"Excellent work you two." Rico said.
"Thank you guys." Max and Junior said.
"You're welcome." Sofia said.
A female military macaw sings Single Ladies By Beyoncé. During the song she did dancing skills by shaking her tail. The judges are impressed by her talent.
"Next!" Nico said.
Carla is here.
"Hey Carla how are you doing girl?" Rico said.
"I am doing good. I am ready to audition." Carla said.
"Let's see it." Lillian said.
Carla sings Shake It Off By Taylor Swift. The judges smiled at her singing voice.
"Amazing song Carla." Pedro said.
"Yeah your song is on point." Nico said.
"Thank you guys and I want to join your club in the future Uncle Nico and Uncle Pedro and sing songs." Carla said.
"Amazing idea." Nico said.
"Awesome." Carla said.
"Next!" Nico said.
Crystal is here.
"Crystal what a surprise musical girl." Rico said.
"Yeah I was wondering when you were going to come." Ricky said.
"I am here for singing." Crystal said.
"Cool." Lillian said.
"Take it away girl." Pedro said.
Crystal sings This Is How We Do It By Montell Jordan. The judges are impressed.
"Crystal I am very speechless. Your singing is talented." Lillian said.
"I am very amazed." Nico said.
"Awesome. Music is my life and I want to join the club and sings for all the other birds just like my cousin Carla." Crystal said.
"Cool." Rico said.
"Next!" Nico said.
Eight blue macaws are next. The blue macaw males are wearing red paint and the blue macaw females are wearing yellow paint. They performed tricks and did flying together. The largest male stood in front of the stage and did his dancing moves. The female blue macaw danced with him. All the eight blue macaws flying and jumped up in the air and spread them. They landed in front of the stage and posed.
"Ta-da!" They cheered in unison.
"That was great." Nico praised them. Nico looked at them as they posed.
"Yeah I was impressed and that was the dancing moves and flying up in the air." Rico added.
"We been performing this kind of stuff since we were kids." The female blue macaw answered and to Nico, Pedro, Rico, and Ricky's surprise.
"Yeah we want to show you guys what we got." The male blue macaw said.
"What do you say?" The female blue macaw asked the judges. "Can we enter in the talent show?"
"You bet guys and gals. You guys can enter in the talent show." Pedro answered.
"All right." The male blue macaw said in excitement with the rest of his partners. They all took a bow and moved back off the stage.
"Now they are super good." Nico told his best friend Pedro, his girlfriend Lillian, and his childhood friends once the blue macaw band was offstage. "So far the decent ones of the performers are Bia and Belle, that blue macaw group who just performed, and the scarlet macaw who did tapping.
"The talent show auditions was on business." Pedro added. He look at the sky and noticed that the sun was beginning to set behind the clouds and darkness soon to follow. "Whoa it's getting dark guys. Should we call it a day?"
"Right behind you bro." Nico agreed jumped out of his seat.
"Us too." Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky said.
A little while after the break of doing auditions for their talent show. Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky opens the Utopia Paradise Club up. The Blue macaw clan and the Scarlet macaw clan gathered around the area in the grove. The Utopia Paradise club have places to sit at, have a bar to serve drinks, and have a dance floor for all the macaws to dance and party. The grove is the same place where the Blue macaw clan and the Scarlet macaw clan celebrated their victory over the loggers.
Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky were behind the bar, serving drinks to macaws who requested a drink. Their blue macaw friends Blu and Jewel were talking to each other. Banjo and Grace is there too. Eduardo is there as well he is talking with Mimi and Roberto, and Peter is at the club too talking with Susan, Jenny, and Garth. Tiago, Bia, Carla, Max, Belle, Crystal, and Junior are here also since it's Friday night and they can stay up late.
"Here is your cranberry juice ma'am." Nico hands the cup over to the female scarlet macaw. "Man things were getting easier in Rio."
"Tell me about it. Rio was the easiest way to serve drinks to birds and the bartender was a scarlet macaw named Francis." Ricky said.
"He is right." Pedro said.
Tiago went to the bar.
"Hi Tiago what can we do for you?" Nico asked his nephew.
"How did I did on my rapping?" Tiago asked his uncles and aunts.
Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky looked at each other and don't know what to tell him. They don't want to hurt his feelings.
"Tiago your rapping was so good." Nico said.
"Yeah like he said. Keep working on your rapping mini bird." Pedro said.
"Yeah it was on point." Lillian said.
"Keep up the good work mini bird." Sofia said.
"You can rap so good." Rico said.
"That was the best rap song ever." Ricky said.
"Awesome, thank you guys." Tiago cheered.
"You're welcome." Rico said.
Nico, Pedro, Rico, and Ricky sees Belle sad.
"Girls do you mind to serve others drinks for a second. We will right back." Nico said.
"Okay." Lillian and Sofia said.
Nico, Pedro, Rico, and Ricky exits the bar and go to Belle.
"Hi Belle what's wrong?" Pedro asked.
"I can't be in your talent show." Belle said.
"Why not?" Nico asked her.
"Your and Bia's skills was on point. Why you don't want to enter the talent show?" Ricky asked her.
"I don't want to embarrass myself in front of everyone." Belle explained, a tear, out from her eye that caused Nico, Pedro, Rico, and Ricky to feel sympathy for her. "I am a fool, why can't I be just normal?". Belle cry while covering her eyes.
"There, there don't cry." Nico said.
"Belle you are the smartest kid in the world and we love your and Bia dancing. The cart-wheel was the best part for you guys." Pedro said.
"Yeah you can think about it. If you don't want enter that's fine." Nico said.
"They are right Belle. It's normal for birds to have stage fright and get nervous." Rico said.
"Just think about it Belle. The talent show is not until two-three weeks. If you don't want to be in the talent show, that's okay. If you want to be in the talent show, come to us." Ricky said.
Belle smiled and hugs her uncles. "Thank you Uncle Nico, Uncle Pedro, Uncle Rico, and Uncle Ricky." Belle thanked them. Her uncles hugged her back.
"No problem kiddo. That's why we are here." Nico said as he hugged Belle.
Peter see his granddaughter scared.
"Hi Belle what's the matter?" Peter asked.
"Nothing pop-pop." Belle said.
"Belle you can tell me anything, I am your grandfather. Please tell me." Peter said.
"Okay I am afraid that I will embarrass myself in front of everyone at the talent show." Belle said.
"It's okay to feel nervous. To tell you the truth, I was so nervous too when I proposed to your grandmother but I did it with confident." Peter said.
"Wow thanks for the talk pop-pop." Belle said.
"You're welcome." Peter said and smiled.
'Now let's start the party." Pedro said.
"Alright. DJ Cody, hit it." Nico points at his military macaw friend. DJ Cody who was playing a couple of instruments with a couple of other birds.
The rhythm began to play Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky sing while Blu, Jewel, Banjo, and Grace go in the dancing positions. The song is I Wanna Party By Hot Wings. Their famous song that was responsible for Blu, Jewel and Banjo, and Grace to realize their feelings for one other.

"Oh that song is good Uncle Beto." Tiago told Roberto.
"You are going to love this song Uncle Garfie." Max told Garth.

Blu and Jewel had begun dancing alongside Banjo and Grace. Blu and Banjo was tapping their talon to the beat and casually nodding their head side to side whilst Blu's beloved mate Jewel and Banjo's beautiful mate Grace was spreading their wings to the music.

"Remember this song Jewel?" Blu asked her.
"Yes I do. I would never forget this song." Jewel smiled. She continued to dance with Blu. "This is the song when we had our first dance."
"That was the song that made us fall in love. With Blu falling in love with Jewel and me falling in love with Grace." Banjo said.
"That was the best song ever in Rio." Grace said.

Blu twirls Jewel in circle and Banjo twirls Grace in circle. A spot light was now upon them four.
As they were dancing, all four of them were into the rhythm.

Blu and Jewel smiled at each other while dancing. Banjo and Grace smiled romantically at each other.

Now it was time for the real. After the lyrics "And fly" went past, Jewel spun around, and both she and Blu crossed each other with their wings spread. She had her back facing towards Blu, who gently took her wing and turned her back towards him. Banjo spun Grace around and those two are dancing with each other and they hold to each other wings.

By now the entire crowd was cheering for the four blue macaws. Eduardo was watching them but he smiled. He see what his daughter saw in Blu but now he understands. Peter was there watching his daughter and son-in-law danced together along with Blu and Jewel, he smiled. Peter now knows what his daughter Grace saw in Banjo as her mate and he understands why Banjo is Grace's love.

To finish off their dance, Blu twirled Jewel around multiple times. Banjo twirled Grace a lot of times. Blu and Banjo took their wives in their wings and gave them a little boost into the air. Jewel and Grace spread their wings for a couple of seconds and the spotlight shone through their feathers, making them look twice as beautiful as before.

The lyrics came to an end with the crowd cheering and Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky jumped down onto the stage. The four lovebirds smiled at each other.
"All right Blu." Nico cheered.
"You go bird." Pedro agreed.
"Go Banjo and Grace." Rico cheered.
"That's my little wildflower." Mimi said.
"That's my niece." Jenny said.
"That's my daughter and son-in-law alongside Blu and Jewel." Susan said.
"That's was the best dance they did honey." Peter said.
"Yes it was Peter." Susan said.
Blu, Jewel, Banjo, and Grace smiled at the crowd.
"Jewel this was the best dance we ever had in the Amazon." Blu said.
"I agree we were on fire." Jewel said.
"Yes we was." Banjo said.
"I love to sing and dance." Grace said.
"We all do honey." Banjo said.
"Banjo we got to perform our song next." Grace said.
"Yes our song was Before I Let Go By Frankie Beverly And Maze." Banjo said.
"That's right." Grace said.
Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky came to Banjo and Grace.
"Banjo and Grace, you guys will performing next another time." Pedro said.
"Awesome." Banjo and Grace.
"Now let's party." Rico said.
All the Blue macaw clan and Scarlet macaw clan cheered and the two tribes danced to the music. After the party, everyone went back to the hollow and sleep. Belle, Crystal, Max, Junior, Bia, Carla, and Tiago went back to their nest and went to sleep. Blu and Jewel went straight to sleep. Nico, Pedro, Rico, and Ricky told Banjo and Grace that Belle is shy, she cry, and thinks she will be embarrassed in front of everyone for the talent show. Banjo decides to help his daughter about not being shy. Banjo and Grace decides to stay up.
"Man I am having a good life in the Amazon honey." Banjo said.
"Me too but I feel bad for Belle." Grace said.
"Yeah Nico, Pedro, Rico, and Ricky said she got stage fright. I will help her." Banjo said.
"That's my Banjo and it's okay for people to get nervous." Grace said.
"Yes it's okay." Banjo said.
"Look at this night sky Banjo, isn't this beautiful. When we escaped from the smugglers, our first night was at the Vista Chinesa with Blu and Jewel. The four of us had an amazing view." Grace said.
" Yes Rio was an amazing city. I admit Grace, the Amazon is our home all along. Rio was a beautiful place for us to live at first but now the Amazon is way perfect for us." Banjo said.
"I am glad you love the Amazon." Grace said.
"Me too." Banjo said.
Bia and Belle got stage fright. Will they be in the talent show?
