Chapter 22: Promises
In the morning Eduardo and Peter arrived at the hollow and they did not see their daughters at the hollow.
"Oh My God, where is my Jewel?" Eduardo asked himself.
"I don't know, Grace is not there either." Peter said.
"I just got my daughter back." Eduardo said.
"I just got mines as well. I lost my daughter once but I don't want to lose her again." Peter said.
"We have to find them." Eduardo said. He and Peter exits the hollow and hope to find their daughters. They see Jewel and Grace flying with a couple of their friends. Eduardo and Peter signed in relief that their daughters are still alive.
"We will see you girls later." Jewel and Grace said goodbye to their friends. Their friends said goodbye.
"Jewel." Eduardo said and he hug Jewel.
"Grace." Peter said and he hug Grace.
Jewel and Grace are confused that their fathers are hugging them.
"Dad what's wrong why did you hug me?" Jewel asked her father.
"Honey, I'm so sorry. Me and Peter thought that you guys were in danger. Are you guys okay, are you hurt, and did anyone bother you two?" Eduardo asked his daughter.
"We are okay dad. Nobody didn't bother us and we are not hurt." Jewel said.
"Yeah we were flying with a couple of friends." Grace said.
"Grace you are a grown girl but you are still my daughter. I want to make sure that my daughter is not harmed." Peter said.
"We okay dad." Grace said.
"Jewel when you get a chance. Tell Blu I want to meet him in my hollow." Eduardo said.
"Okay I will." Jewel said.
"Grace when you see Banjo. Tell him I want to see him at my hollow." Grace said.
"Of course daddy." Grace said.
The two heroes of the Amazon Rainforest, Blu and Banjo are enjoying their lives together and they are hanging out at their hollow.
"This is the life in the Amazon. Right brother?" Blu asked his brother.
"That's right. We are living our best lives." Banjo said.
Blu and Banjo exits the hollow. They see female blue macaws who greeted the brothers in a friendly way.
"Hi Blu and Banjo." Shirley said.
"What's up Blu and Banjo?" Jenna greeted.
"Hello Blu and Banjo." Keisha said.
"Hi Blu and Banjo." Dahlia said.
"Hello Blu and Banjo." Patty said.
"Hi ladies how are you guys?" Blu asked the ladies.
"So good to see you guys." Banjo said.
"Good to see you too boys." Patty said.
"Blu and Banjo, we are happy to have you two in our lives." Patty said.
"Yeah, you both are leaders of the tribe." Keisha said.
"Yeah we are a team." Banjo said.
"That's nice guys. When you first came here, what do you think of the Amazon?" Dahlia asked the brothers.
"The Amazon was a beautiful place but me and my brother didn't accept it as our home first." Blu answered.
"Yeah we lived in the city called Rio De Janeiro before we moved here." Banjo said.
"Okay how was life in Rio De Janeiro?" Keisha asked the brothers.
"It was good and Rio is a beautiful city." Banjo said.
"Cool. We can go to Rio thanks to you and Blu and we learned that not all humans are bad." Jenna said.
"Thank you for saving us and the Amazon from the wicked humans." Keisha said.
"Anytime." Blu said.
"That what we do, we can't watch our kind be killed. If the humans cut the trees and the Amazon Rainforest will be destroyed." Banjo said.
"See you guys later boys." Keisha said.
"See you girls." Blu and Banjo said.
Blu and Banjo are going to the Utopia Paradise club to see their friends Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky until Jewel and Grace stops them.
"Blu my father wants to see you." Jewel said.
"Banjo my father wants to see also." Grace said.
"Okay."Blu said.
"Alright." Banjo said.
"Don't worry, we will wait.
Blu went to Eduardo's hollow.
"You want to see me Eduardo." Blu said.
"Yes I do. Come on in." Eduardo said. Blu came to his father-in-law.
"What you want to talk about Eduardo?" Blu asked his father-in-law.
"When you and your family arrived here in the Amazon. I thought I was dreaming seeing Jewel again but it wasn't a dream, it was real life. I thought Jewel was dead when the loggers set the jungle on fire but it was a miracle that she came back, it's all thanks to you." Eduardo said.
"You're welcome that what I do. She is my one and only." Blu said.
"Promise me one thing." Eduardo said.
"What's that?" Blu asked his father-in-law.
"I know I am not going to live here forever and I will die one day. Promise me to take care of Jewel, love her, cherish her and never let her go. Can you do that for me?" Eduardo asked his son-in-law.
"Okay I will take care of Jewel, my children, and the whole clan. I'll protect them with my life, even if that means I have to give my own." Blu said.
Eduardo smiles. "Thank you Blu."
"You're welcome." Blu said. He was quite surprised since this was properly the first time he thanked him. Blu and Eduardo hugged each other. Eduardo accepted Blu as his son-in-law after he and Banjo lead the tribe against the loggers.
"You are free to go." Eduardo said.
"Thank you Eduardo." Blu said.
"You're welcome." Eduardo said.
Blu exits Eduardo's hollow.
Banjo is flying to Peter's hollow. He been thinking what will his father-in-law will say to him. He already defend their home from the loggers, almost being blown up by dynamite, and took care of his daughter years ago. "How am I going to please him?" Banjo asked himself in thoughts.
"Hi Peter, Grace told me that you want to see me." Banjo said.
"Yes Banjo. Please come in." Peter said. Banjo come in his hollow.
"Let me tell you something." Peter said.
"Okay I'm listening." Banjo said.
"Listen when you and your family arrived at the Amazon, I was surprised to see my daughter Grace alive. Me and Susan was so happy that she came back. All the years I thought she was dead. You brought her back to me and Susan. Thank you Banjo for bringing her home and taking care of her in Rio." Peter said.
"You're welcome. I love your daughter with all of my heart. She is everything to I ask you something?" Banjo asked his father-in-law.
"Yes." Peter said.
"Do you regret having me as your son-in-law?" Banjo asked him.
"I did at first, I wasn't expecting you as my son-in-law. Garth was going to be my son-in-law and be a good mate to my daughter Grace but you are a good husband to her. I see why my daughter falls in love with you." Peter said.
"I understand." Banjo said.
"Banjo promise me one thing." Peter said.
"What's that?" Banjo asked.
"I know I will die one day and I will not live here forever. Promise me to take care of Grace for me when I am in heaven. Treat her with the love that she deserves. You better not leave her. You are responsible for my daughter and she loves you." Peter said.
"Got you Peter. I will take care of Grace for you and I love her and my children. Between me and Blu as leaders of the tribe, we will take care of the whole clan too. We will protect them of all costs from any bad birds, smugglers, poachers, and loggers." Banjo said.
Peter smiles. "Thank you Banjo and that's my son-in-law." The same like Blu with Eduardo. Banjo is surprised, this was the first time that Peter thanked him. Peter and Banjo hugged each other. Peter accepted Banjo as his son-in-law after the loggers incident. Peter and Banjo let go of the hug.
"You are free to go." Peter said.
"Thank you Peter." Banjo said.
"You're welcome." Peter said.
Grace and Jewel are talking to each other and see their husbands returns.
"How did it go boys talking to our fathers?" Jewel asked her mate and brother-in-law.
"It went well girls." Blu answered.
"Yes it went well. I am happy that I have a father-in-law to talk to." Banjo said.
"Cool." Jewel said.
"We are going to the Utopia Paradise club to see Nico, Pedro, Lillian,and Sofia." Blu said.
"Okay we will come to." Grace said.
"Those birds Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky likes to party day and night." Jewel said.
"Yeah those party animals." Grace said.
Blu, Jewel, Banjo, and Grace sees their friends.
"Well if isn't our favorite lovebirds?" Nico said.
"What's up lovebirds?" Pedro asked his friends.
"Good to see you four." Rico said.
"Yeah good to see you." Ricky said.
"Hola." Lillian and Sofia said.
"Hey Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky. How is it going?" Jewel asked her friends.
"It's going good pretty bird." Nico said.
"Hey guys. Where are Rafael, Eva, Tony, and Lola?" Blu asked them.
"They decide to have a double date together." Rico answered.
"Those toco toucans are enjoying the Amazon." Pedro said.
"I can see." Grace said.
"After the defeat of the loggers, Eduardo is letting us bring one of his tribe to Rio and go to the Samba Club and party." Nico said.
"Yeah since Eduardo is letting his tribe finally go to Rio. He is a nice guy." Rico said.
"That's good to hear. Rio is a beautiful place." Blu said.
"That will be cool to bring one of the Spix macaws to Rio and see the city." Pedro said.
"Eduardo told us to watch the tribe of all time and make sure that nothing happened to them. If an evil bird or human takes the blue macaws. He said he will not let the tribe leave the Amazon and travel with us again." Nico said.
"Yeah we promised to look after the Spix macaws." Sofia said.
"I never asked. Who is in charge of the Samba Club when you guys moved to the Amazon Rainforest?" Banjo asked them.
"Well we give the Samba Club to Kipo and Sam, they are in charge of the Samba Club back in Rio." Pedro said.
"Kipo and Sam will always entertain the birds back in Rio." Ricky said.
"Since we moved to the Amazon Rainforest with you Blu and your family, we name our new club in the Amazon Rainforest called Utopia Paradise." Nico said as he open his wings.
"Utopia Paradise. I love that name." Jewel said.
"Me too." Blu said.
"Perfect name." Banjo said.
"I love it." Grace said.
"Utopia Paradise is the club where me and my best friends welcome all different kind of macaws and the macaws can party all day and night." Rico said.
"Cool." Blu said.
"We will let you four have alone time. We will need to catch up with our friends." Pedro said.
"Friends." Jewel curious.
"Yeah Ricardo the black hawk and Rapper the red macaw arrived to the Amazon yesterday. They missed us and wants to move in with us. They met Daniel." Nico said.
"That's cool. We will see them later." Blu said.
"Blu and Banjo, you will still be the birds we met years ago." Nico said.
"That's why we are close friends." Blu said.
"Close friends stay together." Banjo said.
"See you guys later." Pedro said.
"Me and Blu will have a date." Jewel said.
"Yeah see you guys later." Blu said.
Blu and Jewel flies away so they can have their date.
"Banjo what do you want to do since we are alone?" Grace asked her husband.
"I want us to have a date at the blueberry tree." Banjo said.
"Okay lead the way my man." Grace said.
Banjo leads Grace to the mango tree. Banjo picked up a blueberry for him and his wife. He give blueberry to Grace.
"Thank you Banjo." Grace thanked him.
"You're welcome honey." Banjo said.
"What did you and my father talk about?" Grace asked her mate.
"Your father thank me for bringing you home and take care of you when he die in the future. He knows he will not live in the earth forever." Banjo said.
"He is right Banjo, not all of us will live forever. One day we will die." Grace said.
"I want to die with you." Banjo said.
"Me too." Grace said.
Banjo and Grace eat the blueberries.
"Those blueberries are delicious." Grace said.
"Yes they are. I have blueberries while I was living with Linda and Blu." Banjo said.
"Awesome." Grad said.
After Banjo and Grace have their date. The two lovebirds arrived at the grove. They see Blu, Jewel, Bia, Carla, Tiago, Belle, Crystal, Junior, Max, Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, Ricky, Fluffy, Paradise, Angel, Bob, Rafael, Eva, Tony, Lola, Rapper, Blaze, and Luiz are watching Daniel and Ricardo doing an arm-wrestler against each other. Banjo and Grace arrived.
"Hey guys." Banjo and Grace greeted their family and friends.
"What's up guys? We are watching the arm-wrestler between Daniel and Ricardo." Ricky said.
Daniel and Ricardo are doing the arm-wrestler. Daniel won the arm-wrestler.
"Yes I did it, I won." Daniel cheered in victory.
"Wow you are strong Daniel. For a blue and gold macaw like you." Ricardo said.
"Hey Ricardo and Rapper." Blu greeted said.
"Hey Blu, Jewel, Banjo, and Grace long time no see." Ricardo said.
"Hey blue macaws." Rapper said.
"It been a while." Jewel said.
"Yeah we been fighting villains and helping birds if they are injured. I decide to move to the Amazon with my friends." Ricardo said.
"Yeah we do." Rapper said.
"That's awesome bros." Banjo said.
All the blue macaws and scarlet macaws party by dancing. Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky play the party music. Daniel got the moves and he loves to party. Ricardo and Rapper danced. Rafael and Eva danced together so did Tony and Lola. Fluffy, Paradise, Angel, and Bob serve drinks to the birds. After the party, it time for bed and everyone went to sleep.
