In the heart of New York City, 3 brilliant points of light zigzag wildly, with one firing lasers at the other. An enemy aircraft soars through the sky, hot on the heels of Sonic and Spider-Man, who dash and swing around to evade their pursuer. We see Dr. Robotnik in his flying machine and Sonic in full sprint with Spiderman in his velocity suit swinging next to him with red and blue lights behind. The action comes to a dramatic pause following an explosion, which Sonic narrowly escapes. But as he did so, time seemed to freeze all of a sudden.

"So, I know what you're thinking. Why is that incredibly handsome hedgehog and Spider-Man being chased by a madman with a mustache from the Civil War?"

Then they unfreeze and Sonic continues running and dodging laser blasts from Dr. Robotnik with Spiderman using his webs to throw a car at the machine

"Well, to be honest, it feels like I've been running my whole life. Is this too much? Am I going too fast? It's kind of what I do. You know what? Let's back up."

We see the whole chase going in reverse as well as we see various events that occur as Sonic mimics a rewind sound effect.

Throughout the narration, we see various moments of a younger Sonic zipping through the terrain and land of his island. This was where Sonic was originally from. A world far off away from Earth and was a world where various animals had human speech capabilities and some of them even had amazing powers like Sonic.

"This is the island where I'm from. It had everything."

Sonic zipped over and ran through a loop that brought him to a ramp, flying off of it.

"Sandy beaches, cascading waterfalls, public access to loop-de-loops. And I never had to catch a school bus because I could run across the entire island in less than two seconds."

Sonic flew across the sky and easily landed on the other side and kept going.

"Also, there was no school. I know, pretty sweet island, right?"

Young Sonic lands back on the ground and continues zipping through his island.

"I was born with extraordinary powers and was told to keep them secret. And like any kid, I did the exact opposite."

Sonic runs up some bridges to a small house at the top of the hill. He curls into a ball, rolls into the house, jumps up, and playfully bumps Longclaw while she is sleeping, causing her to wake up. Longclaw was a giant owl that has been looking over Sonic ever since she found him as a baby.

"That's Longclaw. She took care of me."

Young Sonic lands on the ground, now out of ball form, and he is laughing happily.

"She was basically Obi-Wan Kenobi... If Obi-Wan Kenobi had a beak and ate mice."

Longclaw sighed when she saw Sonic using his powers. "Sonic, someone could have seen you."

"No one saw me. I'm too fast!" Sonic declared, mimicking running. "And, I wanted to bring you this."

Sonic pulls out a flower he picked from the outside, which makes Longclaw happy as she sighs, knowing that he meant well. However, Longclaw notices a tribe of Echidnas in the trees, aiming their weapons at the duo. She then shuts the door and grabs Sonic to protect him.

"Get down!"

The Echidnas fire their arrows from their bows and they hit almost every corner of Longclaw's house, with one arrow breaking the window, barely missing Longclaw, and passing through Sonic's flower, pinning it to the wood floor.

"Turns out, with great power comes great power-hungry bad guys. And I led them right to us."

The Echidnas climb through the windows and prepare to attack, but Sonic and Longclaw escape through the back window as the Echidnas continue firing arrows at them. Eventually, Pachacamac fires his arrow and it strikes Longclaw, knocking her and Sonic out of the sky and sending them plummeting to the ground. A wounded Longclaw gets up and puts a very concerned Sonic on his feet and he looks up at her.

"Listen carefully, Sonic. You have a power unlike anything I have ever seen, and that means someone will always want it. The only way to stay safe is to stay hidden." Longclaw warns Sonic as she takes a ring from her satchel and tosses it, which opens a portal to a forest on another planet at night: Earth. "This world is on the far side of the universe. You should be safe there."

"I don't want to go without you!" Sonic tells her as he runs over to hug her.

"You must." Longclaw lightly pushed him off and handed Sonic her satchel of Rings. "These Rings will be your most important possession." Longclaw gasps as she hears the Echidna tribe getting closer. She looks back down at Sonic in worry. "If you're ever discovered, use one."

Longclaw gently pushes Sonic closer to the portal with her wing. Never stop running. Now, go!"

Sonic runs through the portal and looks back, horrified, as Longclaw prepares for a fight to stop them from getting to Sonic. Sonic saw them coming for her and quickly dropped the Rings, turning over, and raced back towards the portal.

"Longclaw!"

He starts running back, Longclaw looks back at Sonic one last time as the Echidnas get even closer and the portal begins to shrink. "Goodbye, Sonic."

"No!" Sonic cried as he tried to get back. But before Sonic can get back to Longclaw, the portal disappears and he is left worrying about her. "No!"

Sonic now realizes that he is by himself and must do what Longclaw instructed. He needed to stay hidden in this strange world.

A short distance from where Sonic had found himself, Peter Parker, better known as the agile hero Spider-Man, was meticulously packing a well-worn suitcase into the trunk of his trusty car. The weight of the moment hung heavy in the air as he paused, letting out a soft sigh. His gaze drifted toward the apartment complex that had been his home for the past few years, a place he had moved to after leaving Aunt May's nurturing embrace.

Finishing packing the last of the stuff, he saw it was an old project that he found within his father's old projects: SAGE. Some old artificial intelligence for his projects, meant to learn and adapt to it's environment.

As he packed it up and walked outside, be stood there, lost in thought, a stunning figure approached. It was Emma Frost, the enchanting woman he had chosen to share his life with. Her silhouette was striking against the backdrop of the evening sun, casting a warm glow that framed her perfectly.

Peter and Emma's journey began many years ago in their childhood, and the bond deepened over time. Their paths tangled when a chaotic incident had him swinging into action to save Emma and her friend Sophia from an impending disaster—a collapsing billboard that threatened their safety.

In a twist of fate, Emma's determination to get close to Peter had led her to concoct a convoluted plan involving brainwashing her friend, fueled by her own nerves and uncertainty. To make matters worse, a few years down the line, Sophia was killed in an incident against an X-Men sentinel and left Peter heartbroken for years.

Yet, amidst the chaos, they eventually found common ground, rekindling their friendship and blossoming into a romantic relationship during their college years. As he glanced back at the apartment, memories flooded over him, intertwining his past with the promising future that lay ahead.

Emma is a tall, beautiful, woman with fair skin, pale blonde hair, and blue eyes. She also possesses a curvaceous figure and long shapely legs. Her civilian clothes consist of a white top and jacket, white jeans, and a belt.

Her uniform is an X-verse tank top that reveals much of her cleavage, with long gloves that cover her entire arms. She also wears a cape and white jeans held by a belt and wears white heels. For accessories, she wears a white collar around her neck as well as blue lipstick and purple eyeshadow. She in her X-men outfit reveals a flat stomach with toned abs.

"You ready to go?" Emma asks Peter, getting ready to drive.

"Yeah, just gonna miss the place," Peter admitted.

"Oh, yeah? You're gonna miss this tiny apartment while we are going to move into an actual house outside of the city?" Emma questioned.

"I still don't know why we need to move out of the city," Peter commented.

"Become a telepath and can read the minds of everyone around you, and then we will talk," Emma stated as they got into the car.

Emma started to drive them down the road as they had a trailer attached with their belongings. Emma was a substitute teacher at the X-Mansion and even did volunteer work whenever she could. She wanted to turn her life around ever since the Sophia incident and wanted to show Peter she had indeed changed. She rarely used her powers unless necessary, but sometimes when she is relaxed, it slipped and she could hear hundreds of minds at once. She needed some time away from it all. But knowing how much New York means to Peter, she decided to get somewhere close by that they could commute.

Peter also had help as he has began training a younger Spider-Hero, Miles Morales. So, he would be picking up the slack so that Peter could spend some time getting his life on track as they move to Green Hills, a small town just a day's drive out of the city.

They were driving throughout the night as they swapped drivers when the other got tired. Peter was the one currently driving while Emma was dozing off. Peter smiled and leaned over to move some of the loose hair out of her face. He had his spider senses, so the chances of crashing were minimal at best. But the movement did wake Emma up as she moaned and tried to sit up with her neck being sore.

"We there yet?" Emma asks.

"About a half an hour," Peter said, eyeing the GPS. "We will-"

"Look out!" Emma cried, seeing an animal on the road.

Peter slammed on the brakes, wondering why his senses didn't alert him of it. That was when he realized that Emma seemed to have sensed the mind, as the animal was actually a little away from the car when it came to a stop.

When they got out of the car, they saw it was a dog. He looked dirty and injured as he was whimpering and limping on one leg. The two of them looked at one another from the car doors and both seemed to have the same idea. Sophia always loved stray animals and would have wanted them to help this poor creature. And even without that, they weren't going to leave this poor creature out in the cold.

"Hey, buddy," Peter said as he slowly approached the dog. "You okay there?"

The dog whimpered as he scurried away from Peter. Emma seemed to have gotten an idea as she walked back to the car and grabbed a bottle of water. She brought it over with a small bowl and poured the water into it. That was when the dog walked over and started to take licks of the water.

"He doesn't look so good," Peter commented as he looked at Emma. "Does Green Hills have a vet?"

"Uh..." Emma decided to use her powers and quickly stretched her powers to read the minds of Green Hills residents. She wasn't trying to peek too far into their minds, just enough to read if they had a vet. It didn't take long to figure it out since there wasn't that many people. "Wait, I got someone. There is a clinic."

"Okay, let's get this poor guy to the car," Peter said, walking over and trying not to scare the poor dog. He picked him up with his strength and walked back over to the car. "Come on, buddy, we wanna help."

Emma opened the door and allowed Peter to put the dog in the back seat. "He pees, I am not cleaning it."

"I wouldn't expect you to," Peter said as they quickly got back in the car, driving off towards Green Hills.

Making their way into Green Hills, Peter and Emma located the vet office and Peter scooped up the dog, heading inside. Emma opened the door and Peter carried the dog over to the counter.

"Hey, we've got an injured dog over here, who do we see about that?" Peter asked.

"Uh, that would be me, I'm Maddie Wachowski," a woman said as she walked over towards the two of them. "What happened to him?"

"We found him abandoned on the side of the road," Emma explained. "We couldn't just leave him."

"Alright, let's get him to the back and see what we can do," Maddie said as they started to bring out a table.

When they were beginning to bring the dog to the back, he began to whine. He whimpered and seemed to be trying to make it back to the couple.

"Hey, it's okay," Maddie tried to calm the dog. "He seems to like you two. Would you mind coming back? Keeping him calm?"

Peter nodded as he looked at Emma. "I'll go, I'll be just a minute."

"Go," Emma said, wanting the dog to feel safe.

Peter stayed with the poor dog while Maddie gave him a once-over. He sat there petting the poor animal while they ran the tests.

"Well, looks like other than a slightly injured paw, he is alright," Maddie says. "You were lucky to find him when you did. Poor fella might have been out there for a day or two." She then brought some soft food to let him begin munching on. She didn't want him tk choke. "Must be hungry."

"Hesr that, fella?" Peter asked as he gave the dog a scratch. "It was lucky we found you."

The dog whimpered while he was eating. Peter noticed something wrong with his eye. "What's wrong with hod eye? It looks..."

"Yeah, it looks swollen or maybe some form of past trauma," Maddie had to guess.

"So, what's gonna happen to him?" Peter asks.

"Well, we will help patch his paw, and then... likely he will be put in the kennel until we can find a home... or..."

Peter didn't need to be told or else. He could put that one together. "What if we adopted him?"

Maddie was a little surprised. "Really? You sure?"

"Yeah, me and my girlfriend were just moving into town, I think she wouldn't object to it," Peter said, secretly having a mental conversation with Emma about the idea. She already agreed to it. "She loves animals."

She only stands them in respect to her friend, but she does enjoy a few.

"Alright, well, I guess we will keep him here for a few days, and you can take him," Maddie tells him. "Do you live here?"

"Yeah, my girlfriend and I bought a place," Peter confirmed as he petted the poor dog. "You from here?"

"Not originally, but most of my life is here," Maddie confirmed as she put the equipment away. "My husband is an officer."

"Sounds cool," Peter said. "I'm a scientist. Biochemistry. Emma is a teacher at a gifted school."

"Oh, that explains how you can afford a place out here," Maddie chuckled. "Well, how about you give me the address, I will put the paperwork through, and when the time comes, we drop off this little guy for toy?"

Peter nodded and saw that was a good idea, and could give Emma a chance to bond with someone who wasn't a mutant. "That would be great."

"So, what are you going to name him?" Maddie wonders.

Peter chuckled when he looked back and saw that the dog was eating some pizza crust. "How about Pizza Dog?" He asked as a joke when he saw the dog eating it. "Ceasear." He said when Emma chimed in his head. "Lucky?"

The dog jumped when he heard that name and looked over to who called him. "Seems like he likes that one." Maddie chuckled.

Peter kneeled down and caressed the dog's head. "Well, then... it's settled. Your name is going to be Lucky..." He then began to lick Peter, causing him to chuckle as he got pizza sauce on his face. "Lucky, the Pizza Dog."

FIVE YEARS LATER:

Behind a welcome sign, we see a Green Hills Sheriff's Department Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor patrol car sitting idly by the road and a police officer named Tom Wachowski is holding a speed velocity gun, trying to find speeding drivers passing by his speed trap, but none are in sight

"Come on, one car?" Tom shakes his hand a little from holding the radar gun for too long, and he starts messing around after boredom kicks in, acting like he's actually trying to catch speeding drivers, only to accidentally whack the side of his face with the radar gun. Finally, Tom puts it aside. "I'm bored."

Suddenly, Tom hears his radio and his deputy Wade Whipple is on the other end. "Tom, do you read me? Are you there?"

Tom grabs the microphone and answers back in a joking manner. "No, Wade, I'm actually on a yacht in Barbados." He freezes for dramatic effect. "With Rihanna."

"O-M-G. That's amazing. Please send pics."

"No, Wade. I'm at the speed trap."

"Already? How did you get back so fast? Barbados is in the ocean!"

"Hang on, I think I got something."

Tom takes his radar gun and aims it at a slow-moving turtle, and the device beeps and shows the target speed of the turtle is going 001 MPH.

"Hey, buddy! Where's the fire? Got kids living around here!" Tom cried.

The turtle doesn't take much notice as it continues strolling along the road.

"I thought it was kinda funny. Sorry." Tom takes his sunglasses off just as a speeding blue speck of light passes his patrol car and his radar gun beeps, indicating that the target speed is now 296 MPH.

"What?" Tom checks the radar gun and the road in front of him, only to see nothing.

That was when the blue speck of light speeds by again, setting off Tom's radar gun and showing him the target speed of 300 this time. As Tom fidgets with the radar gun, he doesn't notice a playful Sonic, now a teenager, making gestures behind the patrol car. Tom departs his vehicle and walks along the road, pondering the situation, He then walks over to the grass, noticing something blue. He kneels down, picks it up and inspects it. What he didn't know was it is actually one of Sonic's quills. Then, Tom hears Wade on the radio, sounding serious

"Tom, we need you down on Main Street. There's been a violent gang shoot-out." As Tom leaves in his patrol car, with his red and blue emergency lights blazing, Wade laughs. "Just kidding. A duck stole a bagel. But they do need it back."

The turtle from earlier is seen still slowly strolling across the road and doesn't seem to notice an oncoming truck approaching. Just then, a blue speck of light speeds past, and the turtle is now gone. We see that it was actually Sonic and that he saved the turtle. Sonic adopted some sneakers during his time on Earth, which were easily run down from his constant running around.

"Whoa, buddy! You almost got yourself killed out there. What are you, some kind of adrenaline junkie?" Sonic said as he gently patted the turtle's head with his finger. "It must be rough being slow all the time. Tell you what. Today is your lucky day."

Sonic runs at full speed down the road with the turtle in his hands, and the turtle looks like it is enjoying the ride.

"Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo! Have you ever felt so alive?!" Sonic washed as the turtle smiled at the speed it was going.

Sonic does an airplane impression with the turtle in one hand.

"This is great! You're doing amazing!" The turtle flies out of his hand. "Oh, geez!" Sonic runs to retrieve the turtle and runs back. "Good recovery!

Sonic speeds through the foothills where he sets the shaking turtle down on the ground after their run.

"Let's keep this our little secret, okay? You never saw me." In a mysterious voice. "I was never here."

Sonic speeds through the woods and into his new home in the trunk of a tree and he's having a real blast, mimicking a singer, doing calisthenics, playing guitar, and jumping rope.

"So what were you expecting?"

He was swinging on a tire swing.

"A dirty little hedgehog eating berries and struggling to survive? Think again."

Reading comic books of The Flash and Quicksilver

"Because I am living my best life on Earth. I've got a library..."

Running inside a dryer like a hamster on a wheel.

"...a home gym..."

Wearing a ninja headband and brandishes two pairs of nunchucks

"... and a state-of-the-art security system."

Sonic waves the nunchucks around until he hits himself. He then plays ping-pong with himself, zipping between both sides of the table, and has fun until he hits Longclaw's Ring satchel, spilling several Rings as well as a piece of paper on the ground]

"Oh, no!" Sonic gathers the Rings puts them back and then takes a look at the paper, which is actually a map of planets.

"And if I'm ever discovered, I'll follow Longclaw's instructions and use my Rings to escape to a new planet."

Sonic holds up a Ring to the map against Earth on the map. He then hovers it over another planet, represented by mushrooms.

"A nice, safe world filled only with mushrooms."

Sonic tosses the ring and it opens up a portal to the Mushroom Planet, where thousands of mushrooms large and small grow like forests.

"Gross, smelly mushrooms."

Sonic looks annoyed as he sees the world. "I hate mushrooms."

Sonic reaches a ledge overlooking Green Hills and looks out at the beautiful landscape. "But let's not worry about all that! This is Green Hills, the greatest place on Earth." Sonic speeds off to the city.

"These are my people, and, dare I say, I am their loveable space creature. So what if they don't know I exist?"

Perched atop a building, Sonic surveys the bustling scene below. He notices Peter strolling down the street, exchanging greetings with the residents of Green Hills. Over time, Peter has become well-acquainted with the locals, who all greet him with warmth and friendliness.

"My favorite person is the Science Spider or rather Spider-Man, protector of all things big and small. Honestly, I don't know how people don't know he is Spider-Man. He is also so cool when he fights his villains."

Then we see a quick flashback to the time when Vulture was attacking Green Hills. Peter didn't take long to take him down, swinging around and throwing various items toward Vulture because Green Hills didn't have many tall buildings. Peter wins and he throws a few sandbags and metal beams from the construction to then blind Vulture. It gave him a chance to leap in and punch Vulture, knocking the pack and breaking his wings, causing him to fall.

Peter shot several webs at Cocoon Vulture and left him dangling. "Stay here so the cops can put you back in your coop." He tells his enemy as he dangled on a web and got ready to swing off. "Ha, coop. I'm on a role."

And with that, he swung away.

We then see Emma walking to her backyard with a laptop. She sat down and started to write an email to the Professor about the classes. He was saying she had to head back to New York for something, but she wasn't exactly willing to drop everything to head down there.

"Science Spider lives with Scary Shiny Lady."

At night, Emma would take the leftovers that she and Peter had and leave them outside after giving Lucky his fair share of the meals.

"She is super nice to animals and strangely was born with diamond skin. She is also pretty scary with the students that she teaches."

Shows Sonic watching from outside the window of her classes catching someone misbehaving.

We see Crazy Carl, holding a crudely drawn picture of Sanic in front of some people and they are laughing hysterically.

"There is one person in town who's actually onto me. He calls me the Blue Devil!"

"I almost caught him last night."

"Say hello to Crazy Carl."

We see a flashback where Crazy Carl has traps set up all over the place. Sonic zips by the traps, setting them off, and not one of them catches him. Crazy Carl grows frantic.

"We have fun together."

Crazy Carl ends up getting caught in one of his own traps and is now hanging upside down from a tree. "I know you're out there! And I know you're real!"

"No, I'm not!" Sonic called from the forest.

Peter and Emma are sitting on the couch with Lucky jumping to get comfortable laying down on their legs as they are eating popcorn and watching a movie.

"Movie night is my favorite."

Sonic slowly rises from behind the window and has his fingers crossed and his eyes closed. "Please, please, please, please..."

Sonic opens one eye and sees the movie's title, The Fugitive, appear on the television.

"Yes! Harrison! You are a national treasure."

"Basically, we're like a family. Even though we haven't met yet."

Sonic was now sitting in a psychiatrist's office while they were closed.

As a psychiatrist, speaking in a German accent, wearing glasses, and holding a clipboard and pencil Sonic sat in a chair across from the couch. "You don't zink your prolonged isolation is making you a bit crazy, perhaps?"

Sonic sped over and was now playing the role of a patient. "Crazy? Me? No way, Doc. You got me all wrong."

"And despite all these so-called friends of yours..." He then takes off the glasses and drops the accent. "...deep down, you're still rather lonely?"

As Sonic leaves for the night, he takes one last look through the window and smiles a little from seeing the couple enjoying their movie. Peter even had Lucky do a few tricks as he tossed the popcorn into the air and Lucky jumped to catch it.

"Perhaps afraid you'll be alone forever?"

Sonic frowns and departs from the scene, leaving a blue gust of speed that manages to get Peter's attention. But he didn't catch everything, so he didn't spot the poor creature.
